Iran enriches uranium above 60% could trigger strike: Israeli official

Washington (The Times Groupe)- Iran would be entering dangerous territory that could trigger an Israeli military strike if it enriches uranium above the 60% level, Israel told the Biden administration and several European countries, Axios has learned.

Israeli officials say that in recent months, the country has escalated its threats of military action against Tehran in an apparent effort to deter it from escalating its nuclear program further as it becomes increasingly concerned about Iranian progress toward a nuclear program.

In late February, the International Atomic Energy Agency reported that Iran had amassed 87.5 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium. At least one nuclear bomb could be produced if that uranium is enriched to 90% weapons grade.

The IAEA is continuing to investigate Iranian activity in its underground nuclear facility in Fordow, which included enriching at least small amounts of uranium to 84% purity.

Israel, however, doesn’t consider the small amounts of uranium enriched at 84% purity as meaningful because Tehran didn’t amass any of the material at that level, the Israeli official said.

A top U.S. defense official told lawmakers last month that Iran will need only 12 days to enrich enough weapons-grade uranium to build one nuclear bomb, though the U.S. has also said it doesn’t believe Iran has made the decision to resume its weaponization program.

According to a senior Israeli official, Israel is not defining a public “red line” at the moment as Netanyahu did in his UN speech in September 2012.

The official added that Israel didn’t want to set 90% enrichment as a “red line” because officials believe Iran will feel it can begin enriching and amassing uranium at a level just short of weapons grade.

That is why Israel is telling U.S. and European countries that any Iranian progress above 60% enrichment would be a step that could trigger military action against Tehran’s nuclear program, the Israeli official said.

Israeli officials believe that Netanyahu’s message on the issue has been passed on to Iranian officials, according to a second senior Israeli official, who recently spoke to reporters on background. “The Iranians totally internalized our position and they know what our [red] line is,” the official said.

According to Israeli officials, Israel is preparing for a possible military strike on Iran.

Two Israeli officials said Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant asked U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin during his recent visit to Israel to expedite the delivery of the four KC-46 tankers that Israel had purchased from the U.S. last year.

The officials said Israel needs the tankers, which are used for air refueling, to prepare for a possible military strike in Iran. Israel wants to get at least some of them by the end of 2024.

During the previous Israeli government’s term, then-Defense Minister Benny Gantz had also asked Austin to expedite the delivery of the tankers.

The officials said Austin told Netanyahu and Gallant that the U.S. will try to deliver the planes earlier but stressed it will be difficult due to U.S. military needs.

The Pentagon declined to comment.

Hello. Dziś drugi wolny dzień a ja właściwie mam wszystko zrobione. Jutro na dniówkę do pracy. Jednak te święta w robocie trochę ze mnie energii wyssały. Na myśl o jakichkolwiek obowiązkach robi mi się niedobrze. Ale ogarnęłam kalendarz na kwiecień. Zobaczcie jak niebiesko od DBLK

Już jest w poście przypiętym. Dziwięć dni to prawie wszystkie moje wolne dni.

Wczoraj na szmateksie kupiłam sobie sweter i spódniczke. Mam zawsze straszny problem z kupowaniem i traumę (kiedyś już o tym pisałam, że jak byłam otyła to najgorsza rzecz jaka mogła się zdarzyć - konieczność kupienia czegoś nowego, a mierzenie to była katorga).

Moja szafa jest pełna za dużych ciuchów. Te "najgrubsze" już dawno wyleciały, ale jeszcze zostały te przejściowe - kiedy chudłam - i one teraz też są na mnie duże... Trzymałam - bo ładne, bo to taki "oversize", "a może znowu utyje..."

Ale miną już rok UTRZYMANIA WAG1 i powiedziałam sobie wczoraj: Dobra - czas to wszystko przyklepać - "Nie utyjesz! - teraz nosisz rozmiar 38. Tak ma być!" (te rzeczy które kupiłam wczoraj mają rozmiar 38 - teraz już wiem, bo wcześniej to w sumie nie przywiązywałam do tego uwagi i kupowałam na oko, bez mierzenia oczywiście, co kończyło się kolejnymi zadużymi ciuchami... 🤦 )

Jestem wysoka dziewczyna, mam prawie 180 cm wzrostu i dawniej nosiłam 46-48. (46 to bywało na mnie za małe)

A teraz outfit :

Zawsze czuje się "okward" kiedy pozuję więc moje "modowe pozy" są conajmniej dziwaczne 😁

Kołnierzyk w swetrze jest lekko wystrzepiony, ale sobie go ogarnę. Do tego moje butki "Alicji z Krainy Czarów". Spódnica to gumowany jeans, dlatego udało mi się ogarnąć coś na kształt wysokiego stanu. Gdyby gdyby była z innego materiału, mogło by być mniej wygodnie w przypadku mojego "bezpasia" . Poza tym w czerni wygląda się zawsze dobrze 😁.

Teraz tylko pozostaje rozwiązać problem braku okazji w moim życiu by się stroić... 😂. Turniej Magic The Gathering!? 😂

Strasznie mi dziś czas przeciekał przez palce. Coś co zwykle zajmuje mi godzinkę dziś zajęło mi 4 (przygotowanie posiłków na dwa dni), nic nie zrobiłam w domu, jest brudno. Gdyby sprzątanie to były studia to miałabym dziś warunek. 🙄

Za to trzasnęłam sobie maseczkę. No i oczywiście wszystko robiłam na raz - trochę maseczki, trochę posiłków, trochę kalendarza, trochę gierki na telefonie, trochę likwidowana ozdób wielkanocnych, trochę przeglądania szafy, trochę bloga...

Chciałabym to nazywać multitaskingiem, ale to po prostu chaos i tak się dzieje, kiedy coś powinnam, ale właściwie nic mi się nie chce. Skacze z czynności na czynność, a czas przepada. Przynajmniej wszystko w końcu dopinam ostatecznie ... ale jakim kosztem.

Udało mi się nawet zrobić krótki spacerek i zakręcić pokestopami. Po południu słoneczko trochę wyszło i zrobiło się cieplej. Ruszyłam na wycieczkę po parku

Niech was nie zmyli spokojny widoczek. Tu wszędzie dokoła są pokemony 😂.

Day 10 - Challenge Day

Are you ready for another challenge? Camden sure is, because he told Alexis the Cowplants are gonna be the "MOOsers" (get it?)

Today's challenge is the classic game of bowling! Each contestant will be trying to get the highest score they can for their team. After everyone plays a 5-frame game, everyone's scores will be added up for an overall team score (the team numbers are even right now, so there's no disadvantage there). The team with the higher overall score will win invincibility.

Poppy (SL) was first to play the game, but unfortunately, let's say bowling isn't her forte... Along with numerous gutterballs and falling face-first on the floor, she scored the lowest score out of everyone, with just 17.

Cassie (KC) did a little better, but her score of 27 is third-lowest. However, Alexis (KC) saved her hide because she scored third-highest, at 50!

Despite Camden's (SL) awesome maneuvers, he only scored a measly 23.

STRIKE! Anika slayed her game and earned a score of 46!

I think it's well-known at this point that Dahlia (KC) is a little clumsy, but she too got a strike! She scored second-highest, at 57!

Reagan (SL), Lilium (SL), Aster (SL), and Logan (KC) were last of the bunch to go. Reagan scored 47, and despite Aster absolutely hating bowling and Lilium dropping the ball, they scored 46 and 48 respectively.

Logan was the highest-scorer overall; he's the champion at 59!

With an overall score of 181 for the Screaming Llamas and 239 for the Killer Cowplants, the KC's aren't the "moosers" after all!

THE KILLER COWPLANTS WIN!

It's been pure chance that the teams have been back and forth like this. I was totally expecting a dominant team, but there really hasn't been! However, there are 7 team challenges in total (this was intentional) so in the end, one team will fare better than the other.

But for now, the Screaming Llamas will lose another member tonight at the campfire.

I never understood the sourdough comment being offensive either. I always thought he was saying in their house this is what they do, play music together while other people bake. I actually thought it was really sweet and giving a small glimpse of their home life, which he did give at times. I think he’s probably the one that knows the real Taylor the best outside of her family and that’s what made her so insecure. I never thought he was the cause but rather she had to deal with her own insecurities to move forward. The Great War says all of that. I’m sure he had issues too, it was the first long term relationship for both of them, but I do think he’s the one that ended it hence the spiraling since April.

My husband loves this podcast and I saw this clip this morning lol we had the game on last night and he had a bad fumble. Lots of dropped passes in general for KC.

U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortresses bombers were deployed on March 22 at the Diego Garcia Naval Support Center in the Indian Ocean.

The Bomber Task Force deployment offers the U.S. Air Force Global Attack Command a presence in the Indo-Pacific, with relatively easy access to the Middle East as well.

The B-52s fled to Diego Garcia from Barksdale Air Base, Louisiana, after a 30-hour direct flight. This is the first time that USAF announces a Bomber Task Force for Diego Garcia - a small island that is part of the British Indian Ocean Territory that serves as a fundamental base for the U.S. and UK military, which has hosted American troops since the 1970s. The B-1 landed there in 2021, and the last time a B-52 landed there was in 2020.

"This deployment aims to improve the readiness and training needed to respond to any potential crisis or challenge around the world, demonstrating the credibility of our forces to face a global security environment that is more diverse and uncertain than at any other time in recent history," the Pacific Air Forces Command (PACAF) said in a statement.

Although the island is in the area of responsibility of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, the U.S. Air Force used the island in the past as a base to send bombers to the U.S. Central Command's area of operations.

This latest deployment of PACAF bombers follows in the footsteps of the B-52 of Minot Air Base, North Dakota, deployed in Guam at the end of January and operating there until March 6.
