Hell hath no fury like that of a mother scorned

for this ask meme.

Right off the bat I can tell you a few things, just seeing this: it has ‘Maria Stark-centric’ written all over it, and, given I’ve got a boatload of Stark Family Feels™ especially where she’s concerned [no, really; I’ve got an entire AU going on that is just me playing with BAMF!Maria in various scenarios], I think you can see where this is going. Heads up for not being Howard-friendly, plus some not-very-family-friendly stuff all-around:

Here’s the thing: it takes a special sort of woman to marry one of the most prominent ironmongers in America. Takes a spine of steel and nerves to match, being the wife of not just one of the biggest weapons companies in the country, but also one of the founders of a vague yet menacing government agency and in the spotlight 24/7.

Funny, how that doesn’t make it into the history books. Funny, how everyone forgets a smile is nothing more than a baring of teeth.

Everyone forgets, apparently. Not that Maria minds—it makes holding down the fort so much easier when everyone’s underestimating her. When just about everyone dismisses her just as Howard’s trophy wife, or the mother of his child.

Well. Makes it easier for her to work, anyway. Makes it a cinch, to play things up with PR, when the world does half the job for her, of painting her as something soft and warm and demure, when she’s never backed down a day in her life.

…which does not always bode well, actually.

Here’s the thing: her marriage’d been crumbling for a while now, between Howard’s nonexistent work-life balance, and his alcohol problem on the rare occasions he was home. They’d had fights—what couple didn’t?—but lately things’ve gotten increasingly strained, to the point where he’s breaking plates and she’s white-knuckling the silverware. But that, she can take, that’s not where she draws the line.

No, her limit is when her soon-to-be-ex raises a hand against their son.

Here’s the thing: Howard has all the power in this situation, if they were to ever file for divorce. He’s got the money, and the influence— if he wanted to, he could get sole custody from whatever judge he wants, and they both know it.

It takes a month, for her to make the arrangements. To call in favors, to get the money without raising any alarms and raise hell on the way out.

Because Howard made the same mistake almost everyone else had: he underestimated his wife. Forgot that he wasn’t the only one with access to sensitive documents, when he took his work home, and between the SHIELD paperwork and the business deals at SI, well…

The same day Maria walks out with her son, a suitcase, and two bus tickets, Howard can’t do a thing about it. Not when he’s busy putting out all the fires that arose from a myriad of leaks, because suddenly now the press is aware of SHIELD’s existence, and of Operation Paperclip, and of Obadiah’s dubious connections. Howard can’t do a thing about it, and the trail quickly goes cold even as rumors of double-dealing start to float around.

And in the meantime, a single mother and her eight-year-old son move into a small town, and settle in.

They make waves at first, of course—especially Anthony, because he’s shaping up to be a whiz with computers— and years pass. Tony almost singlehandedly starts the school’s robotics club, and things only go up from there.

Howard never really stops looking, but now he’s got not just one, but three people to find, and given how much of a hassle it’s been just to find Steve? Yeah, that’s not going anywhere. Doesn’t help that JARVIS is constantly monitoring anything that’d indicate they’ve been found, either. Add in the spectacular mess Maria left behind for him to deal with […which actually ended up fixing the bulk of stuff later on in the MCU, including uncovering Obadiah and HYDRA], plus the letter she left behind, and it is very, very obvious she’s not about to go back anytime soon. Not sure if he’d remarry or not, because on the one hand, Maria burned just about every bridge there was, but the other hand, he wants to find his son [prodigy heir to the throne and all that].

Irony is, it’s the Winter Soldier who ends up finding them, because of Reasons.

Completely by accident, mind, because he got loose when Maria did what she did and HYDRA burned, and so you’ve got this mostly-amnesiac assassin stumbling into the picture. Tony has a field day with his arm, Maria has a heart attack because she thinks he’s one of Howard’s men, and what you get is Tony growing up with Bucky as an uncle figure because Maria quickly ends up taking him under her wing as well.

Years pass, and things continue in this vein. Tony has a great childhood with people who love and support him the best they can despite sharing a tiny motorhome with a leaky shower and iffy plumbing, which is way, way better than the vague memories he has of an empty mansion and—well.

…you get the point. just— the idea of Maria taking absolutely no prisoners where her family’s concerned. None. Because it takes a special sort of woman to marry one of the biggest names in the arms industry, and if you go after her child she won’t just annihilate you, she’ll salt the earth as well.

Bonus: Tony ends up going to college, making waves along the way because hello, genius, and starting his own company. In green energy, and robotics, instead of weapons, because here he’s allowed to explore what he wants and between DUM-E, You, and JARVIS, it’s pretty damn obvious where his interests lie. Not sure if Howard’d ever find out, but if he does it’s a very, very bitter pill. Especially because he’s seeing all the potential his son had, and that his wife basically stole his legacy away, combined with how successful Tony is now, is…well, not pretty.

there’d be a bittersweet ending in here somewhere, probably.

Every Voltage MC is Special Now Because I Say So - BMP 1

Note: I am not a master on every character's routes and trivia. I made these up because I’m tired of boring MCs with no unique traits

Wilfred’s MC: Loves camping! She’s very experienced at it, so she would invite him out and totally amaze him. They’d stay in a cabin the first time, to help ease Wilfred into the idea (also because Claude was absolutely scandalized by the idea of his Prince sleeping on the ground, sleeping bag or no). But MC made sure Wilfred got the rest of the big camping staples, like a bonfire, s’mores, nature trails, etc. It’s not exactly his thing, but it makes him happy to see MC so excited. (Also, he totally didn’t stare at her ass when she was setting up the fire, nope)

Keith’s MC: Plays electric guitar! Can shred with the best of ‘em. He’s too stubborn to ask her to teach him, even though he really wants to. She calls her guitar her “baby”, much to Keith’s confusion (”Oh yeah, you haven’t met my baby yet!” “YOUR WHAT”). Sometimes she’ll play some more laid-back tunes for Cathy and he can’t help but fall a little bit more in love with her.

Roberto’s MC: Absolute. Meme. Trash. She tries to act formal towards him when they first meet, because…well, he’s a Prince. But after getting comfortable with him, she accidentally lets a meme slip and Roberto gets fucking WHIPLASH turning towards her. (”DID YOU JUST SAY A MEME” “Oh god what have I done”). He’s so excited that MC’s sense of humor is similar to his!! She knows so many memes!!! He’s more sheltered than he acts, so she has to explain some of them, and even manages to prank him a few times (”Hey Roberto does your kingdom have updog?” “Hmm I don’t know. What’s updog—wait.”). They totally reenact vines with Alberto.

Joshua’s MC: a mural artist! At first he looks down on it, assuming that it’s just illegal graffiti. But when he sees her work for the first time, a project for her college, and he’s astounded. It’s a true work of art, taking up a whole wall, and she’s explaining about the materials she used and what the image is meant to represent, and what inspired it, and there’s so much light in her eyes. At that moment he can’t help but think “this person is amazing”. He commissions a mural for a public building from her soon after.

Glenn’s MC: a hardcore animal lover. She studies animal sciences and dreams of working at a wildlife sanctuary or zoo. At the moment she interns at a small wildlife veterinary center, where her main job is feeding orphan babies. She shows Glenn all her “kids” and he’s amazed how well she handles all of them. She even lets him help with some of the more domestic animals, while she feeds things like bear cubs, wolf pups, and vulture chicks.

Edward’s MC: a stress baker, but not just simple stuff. No, she goes all out. Almond macaroons, red velvet cupcakes, two-layer buttercream cake (with matching fancy piped icing), double-chocolate fudge cookies…she bakes and bakes and bakes until she runs out of steam. Edward walks into the kitchen and doesn’t know whether to be impressed or concerned (in the end he’s both). She goes even more overboard whenever she does it at the castle, and often has to apologize to the chefs for using up an ingredient or two.

Yakov’s MC: dyes her hair all sorts of colors. She takes a gap period between bleaches to let her hair recover, but her hair is dyed for the majority of the year. When Yakov meets her, she’s a redhead. The next month, her hair is purple. He had no idea there were so many varieties of hair dye! And you can even mix them to make different hues! A lot of people give MC flack when she’s pushed into the public eye, claiming her hair is too nontraditional and that it makes her an inappropriate choice for the Prince’s lover. The next day Yakov shows up to a press conference with half of his braid dyed a literal rainbow. They have no further harassment (well, at least not about the hair dye)

Zain’s MC: it freaks him out - his MC has almost inhuman night vision. One night while staying at Nobel Mitchel, she wakes up at like 2 a.m. for a drink of water. Since she can see pretty well in the dark, she doesn’t take a light or anything with her. On her way to the kitchen she freaks out a security guard. In the morning Zain has to deal with rumors of a ghost girl walking the castle halls without a light. MC thinks it heckin’ hilarious

And now the butlers, because DAMMIT VOLTAGE WE WILL PAY YOU SO MUCH MONEY FOR THEM

Butler Luke’s MC (not to be confused with KBTBB’s Dr. Luke): you know those old ladies who always have sweets in their bags? That’s Luke’s MC, only not old yet. She has a seemingly endless supply. Strawberry hard candies? Check. Chocolate balls? Yep. Lollipops? In every flavor! Luke is amazed. This girl has an entire candy shop in her purse, fully stocked. All anyone has to do is mention being hungry, having a bad taste stuck in their mouth, or being sad, and out comes the goodies.

Yu’s MC: to his surprise, she’s a fairly well-known movie and film critic. She writes professional articles, maintains a blog for more casual reviews, and even makes YouTube videos on occasion. Honestly, if it wasn’t for his job making him too busy for movies, he probably would have found MC again years earlier. Movie dates are common, though she makes sure to let him know she isn’t just taking him to movies for her work. He enjoys hearing her talk about the production side of things, and certain plot points. He makes note to buy DVDs of all her favorites for stay-home dates.

Claude’s MC: she makes handmade stuffed animals. She keeps some of them, and originally Claude found her hobby very childish. But the majority of her plushies she donates to charities - hospitals, orphanages, and homeless shelters, mostly. Sometimes she’ll sell a couple of them so that she can donate money to the causes as well. She never keeps the money for herself. Once Claude learns this, he feels bad for looking down on her, and tries to show interest. MC makes him a stuffie of his own after they start dating.

Alberto’s MC: “Uh before I move into the Castle can I go home to get my lizard?” “Your what now.” Yep, Alberto’s MC has a pet lizard, which she loves dearly. He’s confused, to say the least, but at least it’s not messy (until he finds out what it eats). After awhile, he gets attached to the little dragon, too. When the heat lamp needs replacing, he finds the best one for the species. He slips the little pal some treats when it’s been good. MC has to stop him from setting up an elaborate habitat for the smol scaly friend. And if Prince Roberto even tries to take some of it’s crickets for a prank, he will face two very protective reptile parents.

Jan’s MC: beep beep fuckers, this MC has a moped, and Jan unironically thinks that it’s AWESOME. I’m talking those Vespas you see in NYC, like Emmy Altava from the Prof. Layton games had. It’s her main source of transportation, so when she has to live in the Castle, she gets concerned about her ride. Jan asks her to teach him how to ride it, and when he rides passenger behind her on it he makes sure to hold onto her a little tighter than he actually needs to, just to be closer to her. They get matching helmets because they’re cute like that.

Louis’ MC: cutie with glasses! She has poor eyesight, but nothing too serious. Just nearsightedness. Since her lenses aren’t all that thick, she’s able to use cute and stylish frames, though they tend to be cheap and break easily. Louis enthusiastically gushes whenever MC tries on new frames, making sure to detail how they compliment her eyes or face shape. He doesn’t think she’s cuter or prettier with or without them, but rather that MC with glasses and MC without glasses are both uniquely beautiful.

I’ve done this before but I’ve been rethinking my characters since playing DoTo so I figured it couldn’t hurt to redo it.

NAME: Phelim Campbell NICKNAME(S): Phlegm AGE: 20 during the main events of Dishonored, 35 at the start of DH2 GENDER: Cis man SEXUALITY: Bi, with a preference for men HEIGHT/BUILD: 5′11, skinny as a rail FACECLAIM: Kris Kidd

PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: The absolutely rowdiest of boys. He doesn’t care about much beyond immediate satisfaction, so he acts upon whatever impulses pop into his head without much hesitation. Said impulses usually end with him in a fight or running from someone who wants to fight, and along the way things are set ablaze, dogs are let loose into the streets - really, anything can happen if he’s involved. Dunwall isn’t kind of the people who live on her streets, but Phelim always finds a way to make the best of a shitty situation.

Despite his affinity for crime and chaos he’s actually a pretty friendly person - even kindhearted in his own way, at least with kids and animals. He’s not one to hold grudges and has more than once ended up drinking and laughing with someone who’s just kicked his shit in. Friendliness doesn’t guarantee loyalty of course, but most people he interacts with understand that. There’s only a handful of people who he’d actually stick his neck out for, but those who have earned that kind of love from him have an unwavering ally on their side.

The only people he’s really hostile towards on principle are aristocrats, and anyone with a reputation for sucking up to the rich bastards. He’s seen enough of life to know that they can never be trusted; they just hide away like rats whenever there’s trouble, and only come out when it’s safe to gorge themselves on whatever offal is left. Phelim’s not political by any stretch of the imagination, but if he had to make a stance it would be “eat the rich”.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Tall and too skinny, he could probably stab someone to death with his elbows or knees if he ever found himself without a weapon. His body is a jigsaw puzzle of bruises and scars from all his shenanigans, and he’s always covered in a layer of dirt and sweat - at the very least. With his slight figure, high cheekbones, and long lashes he could actually be pretty but it’s nearly impossible to see beyond all the grime he’s caked in and his generally disgusting behavior.

His eyes are green. His hair is dark brown and grows out curly if he lets it get long enough, which he almost never does. He’s missing most of his middle finger on his left hand, and has a glass eye in place of his right eye after DH2.

CHARACTER DETAILS

INTRODUCE YOUR OC AND THEIR BACKSTORY.

Phelim Campbell was born on the 15th day of the Month of Rain, 1817. His father was a Dunwall whaler, the son of a Dunwall whaler who was himself the son of a Dunwall whaler. His mother was a Tyvian seamstress who came to Dunwall to be with the visiting sailor who’d swept her off her feet - or at least, that’s how she told the story. She didn’t talk about her life in Tyvia often and when she did she provided very little detail, so Phelim took to making up his own versions of her history. He and his mother made up countless stories centered around her; one where she was a revolutionary who killed a king, another where she was a famous thief on the run from the law. (Those were his favorites, though she personally preferred the ones where she was a mermaid or selkie.)

His father was out at sea more often then not, so Phelim spent his earliest years helping his mom around the little little shop she ran out of their home near the Old Port District. Mostly she just did alterations and patchwork for the locals, but occasionally she’d be commissioned to create something special for a big event - weddings were her favorites, but they got more funerals than anything else, even before the plague. Phelim would sit and watch her work, sometimes attempting clumsy imitations of her handiwork on pieces of scrap cloth, while she told him stories about witches, spirits, and giants. On the rare occasions when his father was around, he would chime in with his own tales of the creatures that lived deep beneath the waves. Young Phelim was certain that there was magic in every dark corner of the world.

When he was eleven, Phelim’s parents enlisted him in the Navy as a powdermonkey, as a way to supplement their income and in the hope that he would become a proper sailor when he was old enough. Unfortunately, Phelim shot up like a weed as a preteen, making it impossible for him to continue his job, and his reputation for fighting (and rumors of gunpowder theft) got him discharged anyway. He spent the next few years working with his father on a whaling trawler, but all that time in close quarters did nothing to help their already strained relationship. Things finally came to a head when Phelim was 17, so he left home to make his own way in the world.

The Rat Plague hit the poorest neighborhoods just months after that. At the time, Phelim was working as a laborer in one of the slaughterhouses that lined the Wrenhaven and squatting wherever he could nearby, so life became much more dangerous than ever. The slaughterhouses of course attracted swarms of rats, which brought infection, which brought more rats, and so on. Phelim was forced to get more creative about where he lay his head at night, so most weeks he passed out from exhaustion before he truly slept. For all he knew he was already infected - if not from a rat bite, then maybe a bite from one of the girls at The Golden Cat - so he truly lived every day like it was his last.

When the Financial District flooded Phelim didn’t hesitate to try and gain something from the chaos. That first night he walked away with more gold in his pockets than he’d ever seen in his life, in the form of watches, jewelry, and coin. It didn’t matter to him that it had all been taken from abandoned homes and bloated corpses. Even after the area was condemned, he still found ways in and out through the Wrenhaven River and eventually left his job at the slaughterhouse to dedicate himself full-time to looting. His travels along the river often forced him to cross paths with the Dead Eels, but he was surprised to find kindred spirits in the gang rather than enemies. It didn’t take long before he was recruited into their ranks.

Life was good for a while after that - better than it had ever been. The Dead Eels were like family, and their feud with the Hatters gave him purpose and an outlet for his limitless aggression. When he wasn’t fighting and drinking in Draper’s Ward he could still be found down in the most disgusting parts of the city, collecting river crust acid for himself and the other Eels. The fact that he was almost always covered in some kind of slime earned him the nickname Phlegm, which he wore with pride.

All good things must come to an end though, and when Empress Emily Kaldwin began to clean up Dunwall in earnest the gangs were run out of Drapers Ward and Phelim was arrested. He spent two years doing hard labor, aiding in the cleanup of the Flooded District (he was repeatedly caught pocketing things, which added months to his sentence), and was released only after he was recruited into the Lower Guard. To no one’s surprise, Phelim chafed against the rules of the Watch and often tried to fight with his superior officers, who everyone knew were just rich second sons and daughters. The watch didn’t recruit out of prisons without expecting that kind of behavior though, and each act of rebellion was met with swift and brutal punishment. He was eventually transferred to River Patrol; the choice was justified by citing his extensive knowledge of the Wrenhaven and the local gangs, but mostly it was just because no one wanted him in the city proper.

The transfer helped temper Phelim’s rage a little, and even he had to admit that he’d be hard pressed to find a better source of income. The City Watch was the only gang in Dunwall that wasn’t falling apart, and while it killed him to have to play nice with his COs he could at least take solace in the fact that he was making money on the side without their knowledge. As a Patrol Guard Phelim mostly just checked peoples papers and poked around their store rooms, and when something wasn’t right he was always happy to correct the problem for a few coins in his pocket. (Though few things made him happier than denying access to high class civilian ships on account of some minor, bullshit excuse.)

Phelim worked for the City Guard for about ten years overall, right up until Delilah’s coup. He wasn’t in on the plan and was meant to be killed when it all began, but he managed to escape in a stolen boat. He lost his right eye in the process, but at least he was alive. I’m still a little fuzzy on the details beyond this point but I do know he sails to the archipelago east of Serkonos and becomes a pirate.

WHAT’S THEIR OCCUPATION? HOW DID THEY GET INTO THAT PROFESSION?

I think I answered this already but in short: He was a powdermonkey for the Gristol Navy, a whaler, a slaughterhouse laborer, a looter, a Dead Eel, a Lower/Patrol Guard of the City Watch, and finally a pirate.

WHERE IN THE EMPIRE DOES YOUR OC LIVE? IF THEY LIVE IN DUNWALL OR KARNACA, WHAT DISTRICT DO THEY LIVE/WORK IN?

He’s originally from the residential area near the Old Port District in Dunwall, but is currently living in Serkonos. There’s a book that talks about how pirates live in the archipelago east of the main island so I’m imagining he basically lives in the Dishonored version of Nassau.

HOW DO THEY FEEL ABOUT WHERE THEY LIVE? WHERE DO THEY FEEL SAFE OR “AT HOME”? IS THERE A PLACE THEY’RE AFRAID OF OR THAT THEY AVOID?

He has a home in Not-Nassau and he loves it and the city itself; it’s perfect, wonderful controlled chaos. There’s no specific part of the city that he avoids, but he stays far, far away from the witches, fortunetellers, and the like that set up shop near the docks. He’s a superstitious as the next sailor, but in the sense that he believes magic is real, powerful, and should not be messed with. He doesn’t want any part of that.

As much as he loves the city, he feels most at home out to sea on The Golden Hagfish.

WHAT SOCIAL CLASS DO THEY BELONG TO? HOW WELL EDUCATED ARE THEY?

His family was working class, but his mom had clearly come from higher up the social ladder or had been educated well beyond her station. She taught Phelim how to read and write, how to handle numbers and money, and other basic skills, and he picked up a lot of random information while working different jobs and talking to people from all over. He’s decently educated and is just full of scraps of weird, specific facts.

HOW DO THEY DRESS FOR WORK? FOR THE EVERYDAY? FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS? DO THEY CARRY ANY WEAPONS OR OTHER SPECIAL ITEMS?

He wears pretty much exactly what you’d expect most of the time: canvas doublet and breeches,cotton waistcoats and drawers, stockings, linen shirts and boots. None of it really fits well and it’s always mismatched, since a lot of his wardrobe is either stolen or half of it once belonged to a different crew member. Special occasions mostly just mean that he’s wearing something that vaguely matches and has been washed recently, but he does have one particularly gorgeous long coat that he stole off a some rich asshole. He saves that for really special stuff.

He always has cutlass and a pistol hanging from his belts, and he keeps a dagger in a sheath at the small of his back. As for special items, he keeps a bone charm in a small pouch that’s been sewn closed. The pouch is sewn onto a short leather belt, which Phelim wears tied around his bicep. The whole thing isn’t very big, and since he’s so skinny and his shirts are usually so big you really can’t see it at all. His mother crafted it and gave it to him when he started as a powdermonkey, for luck, and he’s had it ever since. He’s not entirely comfortable with it honestly - it terrifies him that he can actually hear it humming and he’s afraid of what could happen if an Overseer ever caught wind of it - but he’s more afraid of what could happen if he rejected and got rid of something clearly magical.

WHO ARE THEIR FRIENDS? DO THEY BELONG TO ANY POLITICAL OR SOCIAL FACTIONS (THE CITY WATCH, THE ABBEY, WHALERS, STREET GANGS, THE ARISTOCRACY, OCCULT SOCIETIES, ETC)?

His oldest and bestest friend is Jules Lynch, who belongs to @theladyjokaste. They grew up together, lost touch for years, and then reunited in Not-Nassau. Jules probably can’t believe that he has to put up with Phelim’s shit again, and also that people are apparently calling him Phlegm now and he likes that.

The other Golden Hagfish crew members are like family of course, but he’s especially close with one of the other riggers. Dixie “Rook” Blakemore has a harsh voice, sharp eyes, and cannot be trusted in a game of chance because she doesn’t leave anything up to fate. She and Phelim have all sorts of rigged games together, from shell games to the Serkonos favorite ventiuna.

Back in Dunwall he ran with another one of @theladyjokaste‘s children, Micajah “Cage” Tanner. They were in the Dead Eels together and Phlegm had a terrible, obvious, unrequited crush on him that Cage used to his advantage.

ARE THEY IN A RELATIONSHIP? IF SO, WITH WHOM?

Nope.

DO THEY HAVE ANY CONNECTION TO THE CANON CHARACTERS? FRIENDSHIPS? RIVALRIES? RELATIVES? BRIEF ENCOUNTERS?

Obviously he worked under Lizzy Stride and Edgar Wakefield. He didn’t like Wakefield or the way he took control of the gang, but he didn’t stick his neck out in Lizzy’s defense - not like he could get her out of prison, and he didn’t want to end up dead - which is how he lost a finger. He probably briefly saw Daud after Daud broke Lizzy out of Coldridge and was there when the Brigmore Witches attacked the Undine, which was easily the most terrifying experience of his life so far.

WHAT DO THEY THINK OF THE OUTSIDER AND THE VOID? OF MAGIC AND ITS PRACTITIONERS?

His parents instilled in him a fear and respect of magic from a young age, as both of them were superstitious. He views magic in the same way I think a lot of people irl view faeries - shit’s real and capricious and dangerous, so best not to fuck with it. He can deal with smaller things like the bone charms his mother gave him, and the charms a lot of other sailors keep, but anything more powerful than that he wants nothing to do with. (Even then he wouldn’t ever try to make his own charm or use one made by someone he didn’t have total and absolute faith in.)

WHAT DO THEY THINK OF THE OVERSEERS? DO THEY ADHERE TO THE ABBEY OR DO THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT BELIEF SYSTEM? IF THEY’RE NOT DEVOUT, WHAT DO THEY VALUE OR PRIORITIZE IN LIFE?

Dangerous and terrifying, also to be avoided at all costs even if their dogs are very cute. He was technically homeless when it started, Slaughterhouse Row attracted plenty of rats, and security in the area became brutal so that was a pretty fucking bad time. He had to move around a lot to avoid the city watch, and he pretty much accepted that he’d almost certainly contract the plague. Like, he was genuinely surprised every morning he woke up and wasn’t bleeding from his eyes. That’s part of the reason why he took the risk of looting the Flooded District so often; he figured if he was sure to die, he might as well try and die rich. On the bright side he did make a killing and it lead him to the best people he’d ever meet. Once he was set up with the Eels in Drapers Ward, life totally turned around.

DO THEY HAVE AN OPINION ABOUT CORVO? DO THEY BELIEVE HE’S GUILTY OR INNOCENT?

He doesn’t pay much attention to politics but everyone heard the rumors about Corvo, and Phelim had not reason not to believe them. While he didn’t really care one way or another about Jessamine, he loves Dunwall and ends up partly blaming Corvo for everything that happened while the rat plague ran unchecked and for all the changes that the Lord Regent implemented.

His canon is set in a low chaos universe, so he ends up joining the Dead Eels and then ends up in prison after that. In high chaos he’d probably contract the plague, considering how he was living.

He’s happy to see the Lord Regent go, but support is a strong word. Empress Emily is the reason he loses his family and ends up in prison, so while he’s happy about many of the changes she puts into effect he’d still probably tell her to go fuck herself if they ever met. Though to be fair, he’d say that to basically any politician.

He’s heard that the Lord Protector had to do some shady shit to get Emily her throne back so he had no trouble believing the Crown Killer stories. Frankly he thinks they’re pretty badass and it’s made him respect Corvo a little more.

HOW ARE THEY AFFECTED BY DELILAH AND DUKE ABELE’S COUP?

He’s in the city watch at the time and while he’s not really loyal to the royal family, he loves his city and there’s no chance he would have been on board with letting some foreign shit waltz in a take over. So I mean, the coup very nearly kills him.

IF THEY LIVE IN KARNACA, HOW DO THEY FEEL ABOUT DUKE ABELE’S GOVERNMENT? ARE THEY AFFECTED BY BLOODFLY INFESTATIONS OR SILVER DUST STORMS?

He isn’t in Karnaca but I imagine the rest of Serkonos wasn’t doing much better. Not-Nassau is totally independent, being a pirate republic and all, but I doubt Duke Abele would be too happy about the situation. Attacks around the archipelago went up, more pirate ships were lost, and any ships that had made port in Karnaca had to be quadruple checked for bloodflies. Phelim is just so sick of this shit, was it not enough to live through one coup????? Why do these people need to make their drama everyone elses’ problem?

IF THEY LIVE IN DUNWALL, HOW DO THEY FEEL ABOUT THE CITY BEING CONTROLLED BY DELILAH’S BRIGMORE WITCHES?

UMMMM THAT IS LITERALLY THE NIGHTMARE SCENARIO. He’s not in Dunwall at the time and I cannot even begin to describe how lucky he feels when he hears the news, and how equally angry and upset he is that the city he loves so much is being desecrated this way.

Dishonored 2:

Sometimes he swears he’s seen something from the corner of his missing eye, but when he turns to check there’s nothing there.

He still dreams of a red uniform, and all the ways he could kill the man wearing it.

He’s lost so many friends and each night drinks to all their memories.

WHERE COULD THEY BE FOUND IN-GAME?

Either game:

In DH2 he occasionally says, “What’s with the mask? Pretty flashy way to hide your face.”

WOULD THERE BE ANY REWARDS, CONSEQUENCES, OR SPECIAL EVENTS DEPENDENT ON YOUR CHARACTER (LIKE CALLISTA GIVING YOU AN HEIRLOOM FOR SAVING GEOFF CURNOW, GRANNY RAGS GIVING SIDEQUESTS, ETC)?

This could happen in either game, but it’s funnier imagining it happening with Daud.

He calls the player over and is obviously embarrassed, but he powers through and asks if they could deliver a letter to a certain apartment. He’d do it himself but he’s got work to do here. (He’s alone on the ship in DH2 and mentions that he doesn’t wanna ask one of the other Eels in DH.) He gives you the letter and tells you not to read it but obviously you do anyway, and it’s a really shmoopy love poem. Once you drop it off and let him know he rewards you with a big river krust pearl.

He loves dogs and no matter what is going on in his life, he will always stop to feed and play with any dogs he comes across. The captain of the Golden Hagfish, Agnes King, owns a mangy little rat catching terrier and he’s so fucking in love with it that he’s basically stolen the dog from King at this point. He’s also been blessed by a stray polydactyl black cat that lives in Not-Nassau and visits his house whenever he’s around because he feeds her.

The Mummy

Well I've seen it the 2017 one and I just got out of the shower and I'm on my phone now. I was in the shower for a while cause I was thinking of this and other stuff. Including I felt I was in a weird mood man. I don't know if this is really a review or mainly so kind of but a reaction. Mainly my first thoughts when my dad who was sitting to the right of asked what did I think of it. I told him it was pretty cool. Also my Nana and step grandpa were to the right of him. Including said yeah pretty cool and alright even to my mom just even also me wanting to mention how she made my bed beautifully and how it was finally cleaned after some weeks I think I don't know man a month. Yet I'm just gonna get this out of the way. I feel I have a mixed relationship with my dad. He wanted to go and just when waiting in line I remembered this he asks me about my wallet and phone and that I didn't bring it just it frustrated me even when I didn't wanna bring it. He's mainly right yet just the way and I felt embarrassed and he said don't get frustrated with me. Also when we got home including when leaving home first my step grandpa asked about Rotten Tomatos the 17% and when we got back home my dad says to my mom he said it was pretty good compared I guess to saying my name 17 reviews.....then I said percent okay to be honest I feel like in my head I'm like fuck you dad but I didn't say it to home. Also yeah make sure theirs no moldy food for the dog and don't want him sick it was one piece I'm sorry. That just bothered me a bit. Sorry I'll just get to this man. So The Mummy the 2017 version and Universal's start to their Dark Universe featuring their Universal Monsters. To be honest I don't mind cinematic universe's and including more movies for me, I like monsters, I'm wanting to see the original movies that started these. Including I like monsters so a cinematic universe around them seems really fricken cool but I wanted it to be good. Along with I legit want I think in one of my posts I talked about after watching Jeremy Jahns review, looked at some comments and I decided to see Rotten Tomatos I went yelled out, "OH FUCK!" Yet I was alone at my house cause I got home early there. Well now I've seen it. I did say it was pretty cool. Yet for a big film Universal has marketed and they are really committed to this. They are really wanting this to work, and become a big franchise. Including they already got some actors and we got a new Bride Of Frankenstein on February 14th 2019 and liked they chose that date cause of Valentine's Day but I don't like the holiday a lot man. To be honest like I said it was cool. But I wouldn't I guess recommend coming back to see it. Mainly if you like monsters but it depends and if your really interested but I want you guys to spend your time and money wisely. I'll be honest Tom Cruise as Nick Morton and had to go to Rotten Tomatos to spell that last name right. I think he does pretty alright. Including you know I'm not the biggest fan of him. Yet I like the Mission Impossible series mainly 4 and 5 almost left 4 again man lol dude. Including he's a good stunt man and all that shit. Mainly he's good at his job. Yet what's the problem I had with the film was it's characters. Including the character of Jenny who I don't know if this is much of a spoiler yet you can tell but fine also that's the name of her character she's basically Nick's love interest. Yet throughout the movie she's not all that interesting. Including I don't buy their romance and even like the reviewers I've watched Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckmann, Midnight's Edge, and Angry Joe, but also watched Hybrid Network's review too. Basically their isn't much there for them I wasn't invested in their relationship or their development I suppose. Yet I'm gonna say I legit love her introduction in the film cause it's just so out of nowhere and even funny. Because seriously I didn't expect that. But mainly any of the other characters even Nick their not developed much. Including just you don't care much for them. Mainly I just saw it but yeah. You have no attachment to them. Seriously I will say even in a supposed big film like this. I like it when I'm invested not just what's going on but even with the characters. Including you know the talk about Inconstant tone. Will say their are some funny moments and I guess some scenes work. Including seem to like that I don't know dark yet mysterious feeling yet I don't know what I'm talking about man. Including I don't complain much about Inconstant tone. Yet I don't know. You know what I just thought this the film feels bland, if feels bland as fuck man. I feel like for a film like this that seriously should not happened. A epic scaled action horror films that sounds so cool. Yet the way it's portrayed I'm not too excited about it man. Honestly I feel like this may be bullshit what I'm gonna say. Yet like what people said I honestly liked Russell Crowe and Sofia Boutella and had to go to Rotten Tomatos a couple times pressed the scene...her last name is difficult lol man sorry. So spoilers mainly for Russell Crowe's character yet they've marketed his character even with his announcement he plays Dr. Henry Jekyll aka Mr. Hyde. Honestly I haven't seen much of Russell Crowe yet he's a good actor. Really he was pretty cool with what he was given. In fact a lot more interesting then some of the other characters. I honestly hope we see more of him. Including his performance yet also his character were indeed a lot better then others ha man. Now for Sofia Boutella as the title character herself. Really she did a pretty alright job with what she was given. I feel like the way she was portrayed and how her character was. I don't know what yet she's a good mummy yet not that great. I'm sorry I feel stupid cause I'm praising basically two monster related characters. Because they stand out cause the other characters don't stand out as much and that bothers me thinking more about the film. In fact okay I'm gonna be silly so I'm not alone but even before the movie just....think if you've seen this Game Grumps Sonic Boom episode when Danny Sexbang makes a mention of Perci being pretty hahaha....yeah it's kind of like that.... Okay I feel theirs a thing with me and weird ladies no offense lol man. Including this is a God damn Mummy, God damn imagine what it's gonna be like with lol the Bride Of Frankenstein man hahaha or some shit man. But also honestly the action was pretty dang cool even the plane scene where it was marketed a lot and the Tom Cruise scream why the fuck isn't that a meme haha. That was all nice really I didn't mind it. Also some well some parts wanted to be scary like a horror movie...yet I feel like they could of been done better. Maybe like you get this feeling like you don't know what to expect yet this film you expect something I've learned that from many films. Including the ending I've read comments it was confusing so okay we didn't sit through the credits cause I don't know if theirs a end credits scene or not man. Just I'm gonna look that up now forgot lol man chill out. Almost left edit ha but looked at Wikipedia okay no end credits scene man. Yet the ending not gonna spoil it man it felt like they were setting up the universe and being like we're gonna see this universe again. I was okay with it and I didn't expect certain stuff man haha. Also I'm gonna mention this you know what I found cool easter eggs. Theirs legit easter eggs to other monsters and I was smiling. Even if I've haven't seen the originals I'm sorry but I was just happy seeing certain stuff it was cool man. I don't know if theirs much else to say well Brian Tyler does the score I guess he did a very good job man. Yet the movie itself. I'm being honest I wanna see this cinematic universe launch and get going. I wanna see the other Universal Monsters or basically characters such as Gilman okay I legit looked on Google I see nothing mentioning him from The Creature From The Black Lagoon ha man , and The Invisible Man who they have casted Johnny Depp as the character and also Jarvier Bedwin as the Frankenstein Monster but smiling a lot. Also even the Wolfman even with rumors of Dwyane The Rock Johnson being casted yet we don't know heard he's been in some serious films and I'm being okay with the idea of the casting. Also with other announcements and actors Universal wants to get. Seriously I've even thought of how I feel this universe should go man. You have some big films and small films. Also these are different characters and some of them people. Such as the story of the Wolfman, and the original story of Frankenstein and maybe you can bring that but do a modern take on it yet respect the original story. Including some random idea like the Wolfman film is like Wolfman meets Dog Soldiers haven't seen both films and just whatever 1941 film or 2010 film the 2010 seems decent but the original and Dog Soldiers seem amazing man. So if you want action yet also that tragic tale of a man being bitten by a werewolf this idea gonna put it out there haha man, the Wolfman taking on other werewolves. Including some of the films are ether PG-13 or R depends of what character their focusing on. Also the idea of all the monsters fighting like the Frankenstein Monster fighting the Wolfman also this silly idea the Frankenstein Monster hits the Wolfman sends him flying towards a person taking a selfie of the fighting whether they got seriously injured or killed yet mainly injured. Also Dracula fighting the Mummy two powerful monsters. Seriously I expect Dracula to be like the biggest asshole like he thinks he's the king ha man. Yet...... honestly not a good start to a cinematic universe so took out the haha before the last ha in the last paragraph and cinematic kept turning to cone lol and cone to come lol.... Sorry but yeah not a nice start. Also when looking up the Creature From The Black Lagoon's name my Nana said bye and we bugged a bit ha man gonna chill out. Also just theirs this thing on Google nice marketing for the movie like saying The Mummy on Google and it's some gif ha, but theirs a article talking about five things wait man damn smiling man. Yes five reasons why it looked again disinterested in the box office no disintegrated there looked again but not going on the screen....ha I don't normally go check stuff like that online yet I wanna see this seems interesting and wanna know more stuff okay smiling a lot cause my thumbs type fast yet press the wrong buttons man. So wanted to say if you wanna see a movie pick what you want yet I recommend Wonder Woman which I saw last week that's a nice start to Summer in a way, a beautiful and amazing film I've even made a post well review reaction some what of that too man
