I'd like to take a moment to remind people that if you see someone claim that there is only one single way to do ALL MAGIC in the HISTORY OF HUMANS, then at best they're misinformed, and at worst they're trying to start a cult.

The nature of magic is often that we're all going to have different experiences with it, especially in the particularly chaotic sections that yours truly resides in.

Fleur doesn’t like to think about her childhood much.

She remembers being muzzled, humans laughing and using her fire.

She remembers seeing other dragon’s heads displayed on the wall, often with a plaque proudly telling how the dragon was slain.

She remembers the cruel satisfaction of watching her captors become charred and still.

Now she is what she fears.

Fleur isn’t unnecessarily cruel, if you ask her. Yes, she grinds up fairy’s wings, and keeps the poor creatures in a jar, but it makes them stronger.

Pain makes us stronger.

She remembers capturing a gargoyle and a dinosaur like creature.

Harvesting scales from the stone dragon, it was almost exactly like what the humans had-

She’s making them stronger.

They’ll thank her.
