All his life, Matt had never been told to change anything about his behavior, in the eyes of his parents and school, he was perfect. A star quarterback, one with enough talent to make it in the pros one day, charismatic, and confident. This meant Matt developed a pretty severe case of affluenza. So when Matt was given the ability to basically turn people into his minions, Matt went a little... overboard. Hundreds of kidnappings later, Matt was eventually cornered by Sibyl who snapped him back to reality, being the first person to ever tell Matt off for his actions. After this, Matt put in a conscious effort to become a better person, training with Sibyl every day until he was deemed to be a “good person.” He was then given the identity “Lovestruck” and was allowed to fight with the Power Pills.
