Can we talk about Spellbreaker and Spellmaker for a minute? Absolutely incredible book series, especially if you love things like Pride and Prejudice. Elsie Camden is a wonderful character and I adore this series with all my heart
I miss spellbreak. That shit was so fun. I wish they had an option to play against bots on Xbox, I really enjoyed when I tried it a few months ago. Rip Spellbreak
in possession of a color scheme i affectionately call 'bowling alley carpet': amaris mal*ette! human spellbreaker. 20something barmaid, also an adventurer-for-hire; blessed by balthazar but her god doth protest too much, yikes, totally cringe.
she has a parasocial crush on both marjory delaqua and kasmeer meade that she’s very embarrassed about.
(*normally she writes it mallette but someone got it wrong on the paperwork once, and it sounds exactly the same, so, yknow. that's not the hill she wants to die on. you gotta pick what stupid hills you want to die on and that's not hers, hers is calling jormag a dilf
she once did this while the commander and braham eirsson were in earshot and somehow resisted the urge to crawl under a table and die in a hole. emotionally she says she has never fully recovered. the worst part was having to explain to the commander what the phrase meant in the first place)
Spellbreaker is probably my second favorite shield in Skyrim, and I think Peryite showing up as either a dragon or a pack of rats is very amusing, especially the dragon depiction what a power move.
The orphaned Elsie Camden learned as a girl that there were two kinds of wizards in the world: those who pay for the power to cast spells and those, like her, born with the ability to break them. But as an unlicensed magic user, her gift is a crime. Commissioned by an underground group known as the Cowls, Elsie uses her spellbreaking to push back against the aristocrats and help the common man. She always did love the tale of Robin Hood.
