We're into the final season of The Bad Batch, just months away from the start of The Acolyte and the beginning of filming on The Mandalorian & Grogu but the final season of Andor won't arrive until 2025, but that hasn't stopped Luthen Rael himself Stellan Skarsgård from explaining how optimistic he is for a stellar second season. "It's the last season of it. It ends where Rogue One starts so it’s up to that point. I think it will be very good as already the first one was satisfying for me because it’s sort of Star Wars for grown-ups – it’s a more realistic and complicated society that they’re living in and the claustrophobia of the fascist regime is palpable. A Warner finalmente foi revelado o primeiro trailer oficial de Duna: Parte 2.
Durante o CinemaCon, o diretor Denis Villeneuve comentou que o segundo filme terá muito mais ação, descrevendo a o longa como um “filme épico de guerra”. O diretor também atuou como co-roteirista, trabalhando ao lado de Jon Spaihts, assim como no primeiro filme.
O elenco conta com o retorno de Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Charlotte Rampling e Javier Bardem, além de novos nomes como Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Léa Seydoux, Souheila Yacoub e Tim Blake Nelson.

Speaking recently with io9 about his work in Denis Villeneuve's upcoming Dune: Part Two, Stellan Skarsgard was asked about another future project in Andor season two, and while he was unable to say much about next years hotly anticipated season he did make it very clear how pleased he was with the show and the writing of Tony Gilroy. “I’m satisfied where it goes, yeah. It’s such good writing and it’s Tony Gilroy, I really like to say his lines.” Let's hope we're as satisfied as Stellan when Andor season 2 arrives in 2025, and if he has anything like the meaty moments he did in the first season, we're all in for a treat.
