“Razor” (MonsterKID Remix) Released on June 19, 2015.

What Harry has to say: "My first collaboration with MonsterKID released exclusively on my SoundCloud and YouTube channel. The production was done in five days and released a week later. I loved it since the very first demo clip I heard, an orchestral piece of the chorus, although the final remix differs from the early demos. The artwork created by Vertical Arts, it has the same theme from the single cover with the colors reversed and the photo edited with similar shades. The photo is from the location set where we shot part of the video."

"The photos are from the second part of "Razor" music video, a video to promote my first studio single release. The video was never finished because I didn't like the way I looked in the footage, I had a different view of how I wanted this video to be so I scrapped most of it. After the single release I wanted to shot some scenes to complete the video. The video was never completed and thus never released, I had to pause all my plans 'cause I joined the army. Months later, MonsterKID made a remix for the song and for the cover we used a photo we liked the most from the video set." - Posted on September 7-8, 2017.

"LUV me" The 2nd single from the "Heartbeat" EP released on July 20, 2015.

What Harry has to say: "The song was written and produced by J Sime (Jin Sime), a Brazilian producer and an old friend of mine. I chose this song between different genres (but still electro) that J Sime suggested in 2013. I liked the lyrics and melody so much that I recorded it right away. The song itself inspired me to create the "Heartbeat" EP which thematically is 'love' and what it is in different situations."

"The single was originally scheduled to be released on Valentine’s Day in 2014 with a lyric video but postponed for a later date. Also I recorded another demo called "Losing Game" and did additional takes for "LUV me". During the Christmas holidays I received a letter, they called me to serve in the armed forces and that led me to pause everything. Emotionally, I haven't overcome this period for many reasons but there's a positive side as I came closer to my mom, she was the only power I had that time. I finished the vocal mix using only the 2013 vocals and released it on July 2015 on behalf with Pandora's Thieves."

"I made a lyric video using various post-it notes handwritten by me and also I wrote the lyrics for the Greek version but kept the spirit of the original, talking about an obsession to someone. The cover art is taken from the photo shoot that we did for the song. For the artwork I really wanted a retro magazine look into it. Wasn't planned but we took some video footage as well, making a promo video out of it."

"The shoot took place almost a year before the song release. For the styling I got inspired from the late 80's and early 90's having in mind a manga character as well. The 'melting' sunglasses are handmade by me. The shooting is done on three parts, the first two are more simple on red colors and the last is more edgy on blue." - A selection of various posts edited together.

“LUV me” (King of Hearts Remix) Released on July 21, 2017.

My very first full-length music production.

What Harry has to say: "This remix is my first complete production. I finished it the same date as I started and I released it two days later on my SoundCloud that summer. I took the decision to produce music myself after multiple attempts of collaborations.

The alternative remix is a combination of the main remix and the extended remix, and for the first time I tried to fade-out a song at the end, not completely satisfied but I didn’t have time ‘cause I had to submit a song for a contest…

…Originally, I was working to finish the production of a new song, called “Broken Heart”, written by Adam G and me, for the contest but I had to record new vocals and it was a day before the deadline, it was clear that I couldn’t make it on-time.

I didn’t want to post an unfinished song so I had to choose one from my previews works. The last one was the song “Heart Beat”, written by MonsterKID and produced by me, the first song from the EP that I’m working on. But I already took part with it that November on the competition that brings the winner representing San Marino on Eurovision Song Contest (2018). So, I chose this remix." - Posted on May 20, 2019.

"Heart Beat" (MonsterKID Remixes) Released on December 19, 2019.

What Harry has to say: "As the release of my second EP approached, I thought of preparing a remix album for later by revising some or all of the songs into a new genre and sound. I put out an open invitation to anyone interested in making a remix of their choice. I started working with a producer I had recently met but after the first or second demo he decided not to go any further. Then MonsterKID came along, and while he originally wanted to finish his original "Heart Beat" demo, he ended up making two different remixes as I didn't quite like the first one. I wanted the second remix to be first on the track list because I liked it so much and within a week or so both remixes were ready for release. Finally we released both remixes of the song (since others liked the first one too) a week before the release of the "Brainwave" EP."

"For the cover art I edited 3 outtakes from the single shoot along with some pictures of the sky I had taken during that time and with the opinion of all the collaborators the photo was chosen." - December 10, 2023

It started as a single cover song for a contest, and while working on original stuff, I kept making more and ended up making a 4-track mixtape. "These photos are from the additional shoot we did for the EP. The red nylon symbolizes the heart and radiography (X-ray) based on the "Heartbeat" concept. The last photos are from an unpublished creative shoot we did for the project, eventually used for the revised version of the "Love Is All We Need" photo book that comes with the digital bundle. The diamond symbolizes a hidden hope and the wheat all the innocent years. All photos capture various emotions that exist in my inner world. What Harry has to say: “I first heard the song on a RWBY episode in 2014 and a few months later, my friend had an idea making an acoustic cover using the instrumental from the 8 Tracks app and included it on the deluxe edition of the "Heartbeat" EP. I tried to find Jeff Williams on social media and get a permission to post it online, 'cause I was using the original music of the song, and to my surprise I got a positive response! My cover didn't got enough attention until recently, when I started getting messages from fans of the show during the first lockdown. I want to mention that my cover it's not included on the wide release of the EP.“

"This is the first shoot I did for the "Heartbeat" project with an Olympus compact camera. Originally I wanted to use the photos for a cover of an original Greek song I wrote called "Χαμογέλα" (Smile) but the single release was cancelled. Instead, I chose these photos to promote the deluxe edition and make the cover art for "Shine" on SoundCloud and YouTube, there's also an alternate cover as well that I replaced right after."

What Harry has to say: "I named this EP "Heartbeat" because I struggled to create what finally got out there. It reflects my frustration on trying to make my dream to shine and the mental pain at times, what actually the songs are about. Released at a time when I was going through a lot in my life, both personally and professionally."

"I started working on the project around 2013 making various demos with J Sime (Jin Sime) and later with MonsterKID (Pandora's Thieves) but other than the tracks "LUV me", "Losing Game" & "Mannequin", nothing else was actually finished or released. After 2 years of unsuccessful attempts making an album, I decided to self-released an EP of the already released material including the singles "Razor" (Jun Areia) and "Crazy" (Thomas Thorp)." - December 31, 2022.

"One of my favorite elements from this project is the EP artwork. I always knew that this shot deserves to be the front thing. With the 'lovefruit' logo and the title all came together very pretty. This one it's for the standard version, a second one was designed and used for the deluxe version that came a few months later. There's a signature version too with a slightly different logo. We also created a digital booklet with the song lyrics and liner notes inside to accompany the release"

"The photoshoot took place before all the releases, just before the "Razor" single release. As you noticed I chose natural lighting without any flash to achieve a minimal aesthetic, I think the red color was enough to capture the passion making this project. The other photos are part from "Razor" and "LUV me" shoots and taken specifically to for the booklet. We took additional photos and included them on the deluxe EP having a more darker tone of the same theme." - A collection of various posts.

“Your Love” The 3rd single from the “Brainwave” EP released on November 22, 2019.

What Harry has to say: "I wrote the song along with my friend Adam G on October/November 2017 while we where trying to come up with an idea for my forthcoming project "Raindrop". The song is about someone who initially gives you the impression that she/he wants you. Later things get trickier. Basically we wrote the lyrics and music really quickly as well the music production but I recorded the vocals a few months later in 2018."

"At the same time I wanted to make a collab so I asked on a forum if anyone are interested. I received some messages (about 3-4) but I chose John Traxx because our voices went good together, the test was actually to give him the demo, listen to it and send me his vocals and that was the vocals I kept. He did his own thing at the end and he inspired me to make a middle-8 kind of finale."

"He couldn't re-do the vocals based on the slightly different vocal melody because he was traveling that summer and so we decided to keep his last part. I went farther and evolved it with some rock touches." - 11/24/2019

Q&A

What was it like making the song? What program did you use?

It was a quick production because we synchronized well, good chemistry. Because I'm a new producer (since mid-2017), I started with Garageband. It's not obvious because everything is manual and I put a lot of work making it perfect, even the beat it's custom. Also I want to say that I produce my songs because it's hard to communicate your art with others and have good results and how you want it.

"Any other music plans besides "Your Love"?"

Planning stuff it's just not always working. It takes time to have a courage when it's no one to expect new music from you. As an indie artist I learned over the years that, if you want to do this for a living, you must go out and try everything to get on spot. Family and life responsibilities will take you back many times and you will got lost early in doing a job that doesn't express you. Keep faith (and you better work b***c :P)

I have a goal to finish my EP (Working title "Raindrop"), accompanying it with artistic and interesting stuff like music videos and photos (I have the photos now let's make videos). Also some remixes are coming (including one from Andreu and MonsterKID) and I'm going to re-do an unused remix production too for my previous single "Touch" probably next year. That's what I can confirm right now, with some ideas already floating in my head for the near future! (Let's hope)

"Are the lyrics inspired by your own experience?"

Yes and no. As the song is co-written I can't say it is. But we all have some experience that the first impression wasn't what we discovered later. In life this is really common, not only on sexual relationships. And also there is the opposite situation. :P

"Do you plan on making a song in greek?"

I did actually, but I think as the English language is pretty universal on the web I'm going with it. I have some unreleased Greek originals and versions of my songs. One of them is "Crazy" (Listen to My Heart), first written in Greek. The first and only single from a cancelled EP. Later I did the English version with my longtime collaborator Adam.

"Excellent work! Are you planning to make this song a music video?"

I have some ideas already. Next year maybe...

"Touch (Lust For Each Other)" The 2nd single from the "Brainwave" EP released on May 13, 2019.

The story behind the song: "Let's go back in 2014. I met MonsterKID through a mutual friend to collaborate and make music together, one of the demos he offered was "Mannequin", a pop fashion themed song about a girl with dramatic lyrics, kinda narrative. In 2015 we started working on it and I wanted to get involved on creative part and put my own touches, I struggled with it as I wasn't experienced enough with the English language so we left it behind at some point. Later he decided to release it by himself on its original Vocaloid form with the possibility to remake it for my EP later."

"However in 2015 I met Adam G, he revealed that he likes to write songs and we started making music together."

"In 2016 we took my draft version of "Mannequin" and as my lyrics were mixed with the original song, we removed any related lyrics that was connected. What we did next was to write a new song from scratch, he came with a jazzy sound. I wrote a few lines and he wrote the most. The working title? "Lust For Each Other"."

"We couldn't do much without a music producer so while working on "Heart Beat" I asked MonsterKID to produce something new. He did an excellent job with the music but we focused on "Heart Beat"."

"In mid-2017, being tired and disappointed of having no music out there, I started by producing my own songs and it felt that I have a new talent! I produced many demos but I didn't have any inspiration to make something for "Lust for Each Other"."

"The inspiration came last year [2018] when I moved to the house that I live now. Actually the night before, just a few hours before I packed up my everyday stuff, I started creating an early version (now titled "Touch") and from October to January 2019 the production of the song was complete! The finished song is highly inspired by the underground pop scene. I had an idea for a French bridge as I wanted something extra, so I asked someone on a forum to write French lyrics and sing as well to the bridge."

"A few days later I came with the idea to replace the bridge with an instrumental break. I worked really hard that weekend to put everything together!"

"That's the birth of my song, that's the cycle. If something doesn't work now, might work later. ;)"

"Now, about the lyrics, I don't have something specific to explain, it is what it is. The chorus It's an imaginary story from Adams' perspective that he wrote it on a walk. Don't really know what's my inspiration, I just went and evolved the story."

What Harry has to say: "At first, I heard "Crazy" instrumental on SoundCloud and then I took MusicTewns' permission to work on it. I wasn't expecting to write Greek lyrics for it, but it came out naturally. Later Adam G wrote the English lyrics based on the same story."

"For the visual video, we used footage that I originally did for live shows, in the same style as the other works for the song. This one originally served as a music video."

"I didn't took footage when I shot the Greek version 'cause there wasn't an English version yet. 3 months later I took additional scenes (identical to the lost footage) for the English one. This video remains unreleased, maybe I'll share it some day!"

What Harry has to say: "This is my first (and only) Greek song "Akou tin Kardia", an English version of "Crazy", produced by MusicTewns (Thomas Thorp) and written by me & MusicTewns."

""Akou tin Kardia"" was originally a part of the cancelled Greek version of my first EP. I chose to release it first because the sound was more popular among the Greek market that time."

"The Greek version released in 2015 and a few months later the English version as the third and final single from the EP. I wrote the Greek lyrics inspired from a heartbreak I had that time, later a new friend I met online (Adam G) wrote the English version based on the same story."

"Those photos are very personal to me 'cause I took them when I was really depressed with my life. Most of the photos are selfies shot on grayscale or sepia mode. Also, the Greek and the English unreleased version of the video are inspired by these photos."

"Inspired by the cover art, I did this homemade little video to promote the single and the canceled Greek EP. Before this video I did a similar one, but we lost the video footage, only a single shot recovered sometime later. What Harry has to say: "Me and MonsterKID started working on my debut EP with original songs since 2014. We tried some stuff but nothing came out of it. Sometime later, he offered me to work on some ideas he had for a potential album. I heard a few demos and “Heart Beat” took my attention. I felt so touched by the meaning of the lyrics, I knew it's the one to start with. This song took a special place in my heart and came at a time when I didn’t believe I can make anything work."

"I don’t exactly recall what went wrong and we didn’t finish the song together, but a few months later, summer 2017, I started producing my own songs with the help of Adam G and this one was my second overall production."
