Groggy's Favorite Games of 2022
Every year I keep a list of video games I played, and go over my top five regardless of the year they were released. But this year, I'd instead like to try honing in on my top three for the 2022 release year.
This is good, because it features a couple of interactive-fiction-esque games, but also because I only just started Elden Ring and I otherwise mostly just played so-so games this year. But let's go!
Tumblr media
#1: Neon White
I've seen a lot of whinging about Neon White's dialogue, but to me this game represented a really fun late-90s, early 00s tone that was complemented by some of the most challenging, fast-paced, and satisfying gameplay I touched all year.
And you know what's wild? I did this game on Switch. And it still absolutely kicked ass.
Tumblr media
#2: Citizen Sleeper
Citizen Sleeper is not a long game, but it is a fantastic one. Following the story of a person who wakes up with a near-fatal lack of memory on a massive station, you're forced to make difficult choices, fend off existential threats, and find a way to make a meager living.
The way the game transforms from a survival game into one more focused on story is a real treat, and makes every single storyline feel earned. I felt really satisfied with my first ending (which involved the Greenway) but played through every single one I could. And even the failures felt like satisfying endings.
This game was especially a great lesson in building solid IF games, and anyone who makes those would be well served by playing through Citizen Sleeper.
Tumblr media
#3: NORCO
NORCO surprised the hell out of me. It is a beautifully rendered point-and-click game (and the first one I played on my Steam Deck) set in the real town of NORCO, LA in the near future. It is believable while also being absolutely wild in its storytelling, and had a beautifully affecting ending.
The mechanics of the mind map were an appreciated way to link the game's disparate bits together (and reminded my not a little of Outer Wilds), and the characters were super well-formed and well-written.
This is one of those sleeper games I still haven't seen a lot in other media discussions, but I can't recommend it enough.
Honorable Mentions from 2022:
Chocobo GP, which I took to Summer Games Done Quick and which is a shockingly fun game
Strange of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, which was more enjoyable than it had any right to be
Lunistice, which is a beautiful PSX-era platformer that is short and crisp
Marvel Snap, which has dominated my phone's battery for months
Honorable Mentions from not 2022:
This was the year of Metroidvanias for me: Hollow Knight and Ori 2 were two of my favorite games (and both might be top 5 all time for me), but games like Timespinner and Momodora 4 were fantastic. I also finally played through Castlevania SOTN and Super Metroid for the first time
Final Fantasy X-2, which is silly and quite enjoyable even if it doesn't hit the emotional highs of its predecessor
Final Fantasy 9, which I did an emotional playthrough of just a month ago
Thanks for reading, and happy new year! I'm excited to share more updates for The Familiar soon.

Digimon Adventure V-Tamer 01 - Volume 1
I'm doing things slightly out of order here, but I'd like to get to all the side stuff that came out prior to Tamers before I move on from Adventure. This is the first Digimon manga that came out (aside from C'mon Digimon which is contained within this release) so it'll be interesting to see those humble beginnings.
Ch.1
-So I guess this is some alternate universe version of season 1? (Or maybe like a beta version?) The plot feels a little similar to Digimon World where digimon are a battling v-pet IRL and the main character gets sucked into the digital world solo.
-In this version of the story, Taichi has a V-dramon. Unclear so far what level digivolution a V-dramon is or if it's related to Veemon. Zeromaru is a dumb name...
-Goggles AND a cape? That's a bit much Taichi...
-I like how doofy Gabumon looks in this. The digimon are way more cartoony and expressive so far.
-Full color and actual, red blood!? This manga looks fabulous on my tablet <3
Ch. 2
-More Digimon World vibes. The Holy Angel Castle looks a lot like the ice castle that you can only enter if you have a vaccine digimon in the PSX game...
-There's a "should digimon have human partners?" element here that we haven't really seen in the show yet. I feel like this question is inevitable for most mon series.
Ch. 3
-Okay, I'll admit, I didn't see the pun in "Zeromaru" (maru is another way to say zero) until this chapter. I hate the name slightly less now.
-A Tonosama Gekomon and a HolyAngemon are a pretty bizarre combo lol
-I really love the art style in this actually. Chibi-mode Taichi was adorable in this chapter and the colors are really nice as well. I wish we got more full-color manga releases like this one!
-So Demon is gonna be the big bad in this? That's kinda nice actually cuz he got majorly short shrifted in 02. Seems like his design is completely different here. Kinda looks like Ogremon...
Ch. 4
-I kinda like how the wild digimon get names in this. Since every digimon from the same species seems to be pretty much identical, giving them names allows me to become more attached to them.
-Only just realized that I don't really know why Etemon is called Etemon. I tried googling it and the Digimon wiki's explanation didn't really help...
-Pretty wild that Gabo said "God is gone" lol. Also, Digi-world creation myth confirmed.
-The manga's McGuffin was introduced: V-tags. I'm guessing the "V" is for "Virtual," but if you're going to call everything "digi" that seems to go against the branding a bit...
Ch. 5
-Okay Gabo's incessant "You guys need to act more concerned!!" gag is getting really annoying. He says it like every 3 pages!
-I had no memory of Deltamon so I thought he was new, but I guess he appeared in an 02 episode? He's really ugly. Also, how many samey dino digimon designs do we need!?
Ch. 6
-These chapters are super short and since a lot of them are battles, they take like 2 minutes to read. Perfect for young kids I guess!
-That triceratops with pecs was pretty cursed.
Ch. 7
-When the digimon are hurt their skin cracks like they're made of plastic or something. Kind of a weird choice...
-Another thing that differs between the manga and anime is that we see Taichi perform first-aid care after fights. The anime doesn't really show a lot of wounds in the first place and usually the digimon just rest to heal.
Ch. 8
-I was surprised to see MarineDevimon who doesn't appear in the anime until 02. I wish I knew more about which chapters of this came out when because it apparently came out over the course of 5 years (1998-2003) -- Edit: this info is thankfully on the wiki
-In this chapter Gomamon says that Triceramon being a data-type means he's a "good" digimon. In the anime they said that even virus-types can be good. So maybe that's more of a prejudice than a fact? (Or it's just different in the manga).
-Gomamon is so baby in this!
Tumblr media
Ch. 9
-This manga reminds me of Yu-Gi-Oh! season 0 where everything is just slightly off.
-The digimon are more blatantly programs and apparently if you go inside them it's just a neon void? Also, I guess the 01 in the manga's title is a reference to binary.
-Let's see how much random stuff the digivice can do in the manga. So far it allows you to scan digimon for their HP and to communicate telepathically.
Ch. 10
-Already 2 out of 5 tags collected which means that this tag collecting thing is probably just one out of many arcs.
-For some reason the official release goes up to chapter 10 for volume 1 but the fan scans go beyond that? I'm going to stick to the official release because 10 is a nice clean end point.
This manga seems pretty typical for a game/anime-tie in for young boys. The chapters are very easily digestible and nothing too deep happens. The magazine it was serialized in, V-Jump was also home to things like Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest, so the demographic is pretty clear. I'm really enjoying the artwork mostly. I wish there were more character moments but the reoccurring cast is pretty dinky at the moment. Let's see where this goes!

Playstation Indies Initiative
Its summertime so you know what that means, hot weather (if you’re in the western hemisphere), Mr. Softee's ice cream trucks, sun-bathing w/ a mask on, of course, maybe a trip to the beach while enjoying a delicious passion fruit frozen marg (COVID permitting) and Indie video games announcing and releasing.
I’ve always been an aficionado of indie games because they offer delicious morsels of unique gameplay and worlds often without a 30+ hour commitment. I love jumping into each unique world, dipping my toe in just long enough to beat the game and move onto the next. Some of my favorite memories gaming come from indies such as Hyper Light Drifter, Aliennation, Shovel Knight, Undertale, and Furi just to name a few.
Today, Sony announced nine different Indie games, set to launch for the PS4 and PS5 at some point in the future.
Below are a few of the indie games that really caught my eye and I wanted to bring some spotlight to them.
Carto
By. Sunhead Games
Carto what I assume is short for cartographer seems like a cute puzzle game where you literally change your surroundings by moving pieces of your map. (Below)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Issa Party”
Tumblr media
I wonder if they are looking for “spice” in this desert area?
Tumblr media
Mountain goat riding, count me in.
Haven
By. The Game Bakers.
Tumblr media
From the studio that brought you the action-neon dripped Furi, brings you, Haven. A co-op relaxing combat adventure.
Tumblr media
In Haven you explore a mysterious planet with a pal. It’s so good to see couch co-op still prevalent in modern games.
Tumblr media
Furi’s neon glow and fast-paced combat returns although this time, it’s co-op!! It looks like both players will have to time their button presses accurately to pull off this blasting maneuver.  (Above)
Combat looks like a mix between Furi and Chrono Trigger, is that an “x-strike” I see? (below)
Tumblr media
Traversal looks similar to an on the rails shooter, the upcoming game Solar Ash Kingdom while trying to avoid a blight similar to BOTW.
Tumblr media
It looks like there are varying dialog options with the opportunity for each player to control the conversation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look’s like its slumber party time!!!!
F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch
by. TiGames
Tumblr media
Locked, cocked, and ready to rock, this bunny has a bone to pick wearing what looks like a power suit equipped with a variety of weapons sure to keep combat fresh and interesting.  This steam-punk 2d action platform looks to scratch that action platformer you didn’t know you needed.
Tumblr media
Below we see the Bunny equipped with a gigantic metal arm sure to give anyone unlucky enough to be on the receiving end the one-two piece special.
Tumblr media
It looks like his homie was kidnapped by some force and its the Rabbits job to get him back.
Tumblr media
SMokey the bear is now a forger.
Tumblr media
Overall, the 2-d combat looks fun, it looks like the rabbit can screwattack ala  Samus, stays strapped with a giant drill, and whipping an electrical whip sure to give Omega Red a run for his money.
I am not sure if this is a Metroidvania but the gameplay and combat remind me of Strider mixed with Wild 9 (psx). Either way, this one looks super fun.
Heavenly Bodies
By. 2pt Interactive.
Tumblr media
Heavenly Bodies combines zero-g puzzle gameplay and co-op shenanigans. It looks like you solve puzzles on a space station, trying to prevent yourself from dying while onboard.
Tumblr media
This is what happens when Hal doesn’t open the pod bay doors. (Above)
Tumblr media
“Look, I got your leg.” You know what they say, in space, no one can hear you scream. (Above)
Tumblr media
Limited visibility exploring a space station, what’s the worse that could happen? (Above)
Tumblr media
You and a pal, tackle the puzzles, sure to require coordination, otherwise, you both bear the brunt of your failures. The movement is akin to OctoDad, and the zero-g gameplay is sure to bring several laughs when playing with a friend.
Tumblr media
I wonder what type of service the astronaut gets here.
I can only hope most of these games come out on more platforms. Either way, make sure to support indie developers by buying their games. Often indies are lost in the sea of AAA games, but too many people forget indie game developers push our beloved medium forward.

All the vidya game asks tho. All Of Them
1. Favorite game from the last 5years?
Idon’t even know what came out within the last five years.  I thinkI’m gonna have to go with Stardew Valley?  It’s my game on Steam withthe second most hours logged, but the one that has the most hourslogged came out 6 years ago.  I haven’t played it in a while, but Ido really like it.
2.Most nostalgic game?
Hmm. That’s probably a tie between Link’s Awakening and Final Fantasy IV. Link’s Awakening was the first non computer video game I ever owned, and FF4 was my first RPG.  That said, there’s a special place in myheart for the old SNES version of Wing Commander, the game Icommandeered at my cousins’ house every weekend.
3.Game that deserves a sequel?
Thething is, the best games in the world are the ones that don’t needsequels because they’re very well self-contained, or they’re alreadya part of a series.  I’m tempted to say Chrono Trigger, becauseChrono Cross doesn’t count as a sequelso much as a spiritual successor.  But I also want my children torest.
4.Game that deserves a remaster?
Inever trust these…sometimes they are done well, like the remastersof FF4 and Chrono Trigger for DS, those were both excellent.  But Ilook into the future and think about how the FF7 remaster is going totake out all the dumb 90s cool guy lingo, and then I don’t like it somuch.
UnlessI’m wrong about what a remaster is?  Because I just remembered thatwhen they rereleased FFX with better graphics, that was called aremaster.
Eitherway, I just suddenly decided I need a new version of Quidditch WorldCup because that was the fucking best game ever made.
5.Favorite game series?
Ihaven’t kept up to date with a lot of game series, thanks to lack offunds for the past few years, and most of the series I enjoy, Igenerally really like a couple of the games from it and eitherdislike or haven’t played the rest.  Contenders are Final Fantasy,Metal Gear Solid, AceAttorney, and Legend ofZelda.  But I’m way behind on all fourof them, and Final Fantasy has been…disappointinglately, to say the least.
Oh! Dragon Age has been pretty dang good thus far!
6.Favorite genre?
Ireally love RPGs, but lately I’ve been playing nothing but this citybuilder/RTS game and a couple of rogue-likes.  I also love MMORPGs,but I haven’t had the money to pay for a WoW subscription in manyyears, and, uh, I only own up to Cataclysm, lol.  Oh, and good ol’point and clicks hold a special place in my heart too.
7.Least favorite genre?
Firstperson shooters and platformers.  I also usually dislike rogue-likes because I liketo min-max and the point of rogue-likes is that you literally cannotdo that.
8.Favorite song from a game?
ThePrice of Freedom, from Crisis Core.
9.Favorite character from a game?
FarisSherwiz from FF5.
10.Favorite ship from a game?
WOWwhat a question.  I think I’m gonna have to go with Zack Fair/CloudStrife, since it’s something I’ve shipped consistently for 15 years.
11.Favorite voice actor from a game?
Ilike a whole lot of them, but I’m particularly fond of ChristopherRandolph’s voice.  It’s to my extreme sadness that he’s not done muchother than Voice Of Otacon, but that’s okay.  Apparently, he’s beendoing more since MGS, so that’s cool, but I’ve still barely heard ofanything he’s been in.
12.Favorite cutscene?
Thefirst thing that came to mind was The Sending in FFX.  Anothercontenders is Zack and Cloud escaping the lab in OG FF7 (as long asyou turn off the game right after the truck scene).  Those are thetwo I always keep save files right before that.  Though I will saythat the scene in MGS before you fight the Boss in the flower field,or really, the entire ending cinematic of that game, is fuckingamazing too.
13.Favorite boss?
GOD,WHAT A QUESTION.  Does this mean, favorite boss battle?  Or favoritecharacter who is also a boss fight?
Myfavorite kind of boss is a difficult one that you need some sort ofstrategy to beat, so that you feel vindicated for winning.  However, that said, this can border on annoying too, because, if it’s amandatory battle that you can get stuck on, that’s frustrating.  So Iguess optional bosses are the best?  I’m thinking like Ruby andEmerald in FF7, and Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts.  I also tend toreally like Zelda bosses because you can’t just hit ‘em, you gottafigure out how to use your brand new toy to do it.  (Exceptthe water bosses for some reason?  They all suck.)
Myfavorite character that you fight as a boss battle…probably Golbezor Kain Highwind from FF4.  Which do I like better?  I don’t know. There’s also the Boss from MGS3, of course.  AndMiles Edgeworth?  He’s a boss, right? There are probably more that I can’t think of right now.
14.First console?
Thefirst console I ever played was an NES, but the first one I everowned was a SNES.
15.Current console or consoles?
NES,SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, PSX, PS2, and PS3.  I also have a GameBoyColor, a DS, and a 3DS by technicality.
16.Console you want?
I’dlove a PS4, but it’s not like I can afford any games for it anyway.
17.Place from a game that you’d like to visit?
Thisis a really intriguing question, since games like Final Fantasy havesuch interesting and beautiful locations.  There are so manybeautiful places just within the few FF games I’ve actually playedthat this is a really hard choice.  The problem is that all theseplaces generally have monsters in them.
MaybeCleyra or the Farplane or the City of the Ancients?
18.Place from a game that you’d like to live in?
Doyou think Cosmo Canyon has WiFi?
19.Ridiculous crossover that would never happen but would be super fun?
FF4/TAZcrossover where apparently Lucretia is FuSoYa because they’re both incharge of fake moons.
20.Book that would make a good game?
I’mso tired right now I can’t think of a single book I’ve ever read inmy entire life.  Like, the book I am reading right now is based on avideo game, so, I mean,
21.Show/Movie that would make a good game?
MacGyver! (Thank you, @perniciouslizard.)  Like, it should be a point and click game, probably based on the old show because it had less boring fightscenes, and you can do QTEs for those even though I hate QTEs.  Aslong as the game isn’t entire QTEs (I’m looking at you, Heavy Rain),it should be okay.
22.Games you want to play?
Thereare a Lot.  Off the top of my head, I’d really love to finish DragonAge: Inquisition, and just to play, Persona 5, Breathof the Wild, allthe Ace Attorney games I haven’t played yet (there are at least 2,maybe more?), all the Pokemon games I haven’t played yet (whichis…most), Oxygen Not Included, all the Mass Effect games andFallout games, Night in theWoods, aaaand probably lots of others.  I’m tired.
23.Have you gotten 100% completion in a game?
Yep. I have 100%ed FF4, I think, and also Link’s Awakening.  Maybeothers, but those are the two I was proudest of.  Actually, I don’tknow if FF4 counts?  I got all the items (except possibly theincredibly rare thing with a ridiculous drop rate, but I don’tremember?  I got all the extra summons for Rydia, though, which was aThing), but I didn’t level everyone up to 99.  I’m working on a 100%FF7 run right now, but that’s gonna be a pain because I don’t knowhow to play the Fort Condor minigame.  I usually just let them get tothe top and beat them up, but you can’t get all the items if you dothat.
24.Have you cried over a game?
Thismorning I cried because my cat scratched me while I was clipping hisclaws.  I cry playing basically every video game, whether or not it’ssad.  My top three crying games, though, in no particular orderbecause they’re all Really Fucking Sad, are FFX, Crisis Core, andMGS3.
25.What power-up or ability would you want IRL?
*thumbto bandana* Infinite ammo.

ALL THE VIDYA GAEM QUESTIONS FOR YOU AS WELL
1. Favorite game from the last 5 years?
HNNNNG It’s been a good couple years for video games for me, so I don’t think I can pick just one. Defo The Amber Throne, and Tales of Berseria, and Nier: Automata I haven’t even finished but is amaze. d
2. Most nostalgic game?
This is also hard bc there are pictures of me as an infant giggling while watching my brother play on his old NES. One of my earliest memories is of him playing Duck Hunt at my grandparents. And there are a bunch of SNES games I spent forever playing with him, like TMNT Turtles in Time, Super Mario All Stars, Super Mario World, Street Fighter, Link to the Past, Final Fight II.... And that’s just baby me, not even elementary school lmfao
3. Game that deserves a sequel?
Chrono Trigger. I know technically Chrono Cross is its “”sequel”” and I fucking love Chrono Cross, but as its own game, not as a follow up to Chrono Trigger. I’d love to see an HD remake of it which all the open world, nonlinear, gigantic and insane detail that Sakaguchi tried but couldn’t put in the first go-round. That or for Square to not just sit on Chrono Break’s totle and actually make a game out of it.
4. Game that deserves a remaster?
FFIX - Objectively the best Final Fantasy, but more importantly, the one with the most scenery porn. Can you imagine climbing Cleyra in HD? Kuja’s stained glass desert palace??? The excuse to play Chocobo Hot and Cold for 34293759043t534 more hours?????
5. Favorite game series?
Chrono series followed closely by the FF series
6. Favorite genre?
RPGs
7. Least favorite genre?
FPS. Can’t aim for shit, and first person pov has always been disorienting to me.
8. Favorite song from a game?
TIME CIRCUITS GOD ITS SO GOOD I GET CHILLS EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME I HERE IT EVEN IF I LITERALLY JUST PLAYED IT TEN TIMES
9. Favorite character from a game?
FARIS SCHERWIZ CAPN OF MY HEART
10. Favorite ship from a game?
All of them? Can I pick all of them? I guess Soriku always gets me emotional, and Lavos/JENOVA bc gfdi Puck, and Mondo/Ishimaru, and if I have to pick at least one definitively canon pairing, then Boud
11. Favorite voice actor from a game?
Ghaleon’s voice actor from the psx version of Lunar 2: Eternal Blue
12. Favorite cutscene?
Nibelheim
13. Favorite boss?
I don’t think I have one favorite boss. I do like Zelda bosses bc they’re almost always clever but doable, and have fun designs. I also really like giant megabosses the size of mountains that make you feel like an ant and want to pee your pants and run away when they first show up. I also love every fight with Beatrix bc she can hand me my own ass any day.
14. First console?
First one I played was a SNES, first one I owned myself was a Gameboy Color
15. Current console or consoles?
Still have that Gameboy, and a PSP, PS2, PS4, Wii, and my phone
16. Console you want?
SWITCH
17. Place from a game that you’d like to visit?
Fletz and Donau from Legend of Dragoon, Everywhere in Chrono Cross and FFIX, Esthar and Fisherman’s Horizon from FFVIII, all of Spira from FFX, Zeal from Chrono Trigger, Zora’s Domain from Ocarina of Time, ANYWHERE PRETTY TBH
18. Place from a game that you’d like to live in?
Furni from Legend of Dragoon would be cool, since it’s venice-esque and you get around on boats, but also might be a pain after a while. Dollet from FFVIII would also be nice, save the bit where Galbadia invades and also monster rain down from the fucking moon. Maybe Lindblum? I mean it has an entire theater district so there’s probably a lot of gays there.
19. Ridiculous crossover that would never happen but would be super fun?
LAVOS/JENOVA I even have a whole cx that I should attempt to fic where Lavos is the Calamity instead of JENOVA. Also a cx where the Meteor in FFVII turns out to just be Galuf, Sephiroth’s rad grandpa.
20. Book that would make a good game?
Any book, if the game is done well?
21. Show/Movie that would make a good game?
Same.
22. Games you want to play?
Breath of the Wild, What Remains of Edith Finch, a bunch more waiting on my steam lol
23. Have you gotten 100% completion in a game?
Yes. Not in any recent games where often you have to just get 999999999 of thing x which is just boring and has no payoff, but I love me some side quests. Chrono Trigger has the BEST sidequests.
24. Have you cried over a game?
I got choked up watching Frog wield the reborn Masamune and break open the entrance to Magus’ castle just yesterday. Also the end of FFVIII, and X get me every fucking time. Also Crisis Core, which basically ripped out my soul and my actual physical heart and proceeded to stomp on them in front of me.
25. What power-up or ability would you want IRL?
The power to walk into people’s houses and just take their money and stuff with no consequences. Or to just walk outside and punch some really big mosquitoes a couple times and rob their corpses for cash. Or to just inspect random boxes or pots along the street and find gobs of money. Or chop tall grass and find $$$.
Barring that, I wanna suplex a train.

LoZ Ask: 2, 10, 13, 25, and 29!
2. Least favorite game in the seriesHmm, a tricky one, since I’ve kinda avoided the ones I haven’t been as interested in ^^Probably 4 Swords. I only played it a little, but I never had anyone to play it with, so I couldn’t get the full fun out of it.
10. Favorite side character spoilers for Skyward Sword and minor for BotWOh man, this is going to be really hard. Do, for example, the BotW Champions count as side characters? No probably not, but at least that cuts down the choices.I’m going to come back to this. You’ll read it now, but I’m going to answer the others first. Why did I think waiting would help?Okay, you know whatGrooseBest character development; He went from #1 most punchable character to Pretty Good Guy™Of course Revali is actually #1 most punchable but I love him tooAnother possible choice is Purah, she’s great ^^ Read her research notes
13. When did you get into the series? How did you find out about it?When as in age? No clue. When as in what game? Definitely Ocarina of Time. And it is a hilarious storyMy first console was a PSX, the original, got it for my birthday, got Gex3D, enter the Gecko. I definitely never finished that game and now I want to play it, damn >.>ANyway, next birthday my Nana got me OoT (One of the fancy gold cartrages, too). That is a N64 game. I did not have an N64. I could not play this game.Moving forward a bit further and due to some really weird shit that would take far too much time to explain than I am already taking to answer this I was living in a hotel in LA for like a month. I talked to kiefer sutherland in an elevator as he completely ignored my parents, apparently met anthony hopkins but I don’t actually remember that, watched Wild, Wild, West about 9 billion times, and I brought my OoT cartrage, with the idea that in LA we could rent a N64 I guess. Some of you probably see a problem with that, but 9yo me and my tech-unsavvy parents had no idea. For any who also don’t know: The N64 has a region locking chip. You cannot play PAL region games (As in NZ) on an NTSC console (As in the US).I still could not play my game.Because I have memories of the house I know I was living in after being in LA in which I was playing Pokémon Snap we must have actually gotten an N64 after getting back and I would have finally been able to play Ocarina of Time, and all was good. This is the first time I have considered this entire series of events. Thank you for joining me on this trip down wtf memory lane.
25. What’s one thing that you want to see the most from the series? (ex - Remake of your favorite game, a new style of game, new TV show or comic, etc.)I have to give you two things because I know exactly what they are and I cannot pick between them. warning mild spoilers for BotWI want a continuation of the openness and background world of BotW. I wanted when the main story ended to be able to start work rebuilding Hyrule. Go out questing to kill holdout monsters, help get supplies around, other things that I don’t want to get into because spoilers. This is a silly thing that I don’t think would make for as widely popular a game, it’s just the sort of game I want to play. I just love the idea of not only saving a decimated land, but helping bring it back to life! The other thing I want isgiveZeldaheROWNGAME(I have ideas but I think this speaks for itself and I’ve rambled a lot so far)
29. What’s your favorite part of Legend of Zelda games? (ex - Getting all the collectibles, exploring, doing dungeons, fighting bosses, story, etc.)I would have to say a combination of Exploring and Story, which is why I love BotW so much. I think the story is really good! A bit cheesy in places but in a good way ^^ But I just love how much freedom to explore there is, without having much emptiness. There’s so many places to go but there’s always something there! It’s such a beautiful game, it was so worth the wait, but I do hope we don’t have to wait as long for the next one ^^Those do apply to other LoZ games, though ^^ I love exploring all those worlds, and I always love the story ^^
Thanks for the questions!
