Yowamushi Pedal LIMIT BREAK Hits Japanese TV in October of 2022
Tumblr media
Some great news for all you fans of bicycling and otaku-dom! Yowamushi Pedal, a TV anime based on the sports manga by Wataru Watanabe about nerdy young man whose pop culture obsessions help him become a champion cyclist, is returning to Japanese TV in October of 2022 for a fifth installment entitled Yowamushi Pedal LIMIT BREAK.
Tumblr media
Details about the new series are currently scarce, although it has been confirmed that TMS Entertainment will provide animation production and voice actors Daiki Yamashita and Tsubasa Yonaga will reprise their roles as main character Sakamichi Onoda and his rival, Sangaku Manami, respectively.
Tumblr media
Crunchyroll currently streams the first two seasons and theatrical anime films for Yowamushi Pedal as well as the Yowamushi Pedal New Generation and Yowamushi Pedal Glory Line spin-off series. Crunchyroll describes the story of Yowamushi Pedal as follows:
Onoda Sakamichi is a rather timid, anime-loving first-year student at Sohoku High School. Upon entering high school, he tried to join the anime research club, but after meeting Imaizumi Shunsuke, a renowned cyclist since middle school, and Naruko Shoukichi, who swept the Kansai cycling championship, he ended up joining the competitive cycling club.
Yowamush Pedal LIMIT BREAK will broadcast on the NHK network beginning in October of 2022.
