Task 001 / Character Comparisons
Louisa Caerwyn as Alexis Rose in Schitt's Creek:
Louisa was hard to pin down; she’s become one of my most complex characters. I never thought she’d take on a this style of person when I first drafted her. Louie is a lot like Alexis, but mostly the rich girl with a heart of gold.
Like Alexis, Louisa spent most of her adolescent life roaming around Astralis getting herself into trouble and adventures. She’s lived a full life, always saying yes to every possibility. She’s would up in some misadventures too, having to be bailed by her family. Louisa is extremely independent and dislikes being weighed down.
Louisa x Alexis have had many lovers over the years. Louie can;t even remember the names of them all, only the ones that lasted more than two years. She’s received many gifts and promises from every lover/suitor. But she’s never fallen for any, not truly.
Also like Alexis, Louisa adores her family, no matter what. She is hyper-loyal to her family. If anyone of them came to her with a problem, she would jump to help and not judge them. The love for her family knows no bounds and she will would rather die than betray their trust.
memorable quote:
“I don't skate through life David, I walk through life, in really nice shoes.”

Elia Martell - The Sun of Dorne
Not much is known about the lone Martell daughter, but one thing can be certain: She constantly drew the short end of the stick. Despite how cruel the world tended to be towards her though, she didn’t let that faze her. She was kind and gentle, they said. A good and attentive mother and wife, despite having a husband that was not (bc in this house, rhaegar targaryen is trASH).
I think the biggest connection I found between Elia and Andromeda is that no matter how weak her physical body may be, they make up for it in will and mind. Bright and good, and only wanting the best for their family.
I WILL FOREVER YELL IT FROM THE TOP OF MY LUNGS, ELIA MARTELL DESERVED BETTERRRRRR

Astralis Task #1 - Viktor Valentina as Prince Caspian (Chronicles of Narnia)
Prince Caspian is a daydeamer and a quiet man, unsure of himself as a new and emerging leader. Yet throughout the Chronicles of Narnia, his leadership skills and steadfast care for his people are recognized as he learns to grow into his role as king of Narnia. As a new High Lord filling in the shoes of his illustrious father, Viktor shares many of the same character traits with Caspian. He has a strong love of his Court and his family, and years of harsh training have made the introverted High Lord the bristly sort. But beneath the frigid exterior is a thoughtful family man who has a unique sense of humour and a sweetly awkward disposition. Caspian and Viktor are active leaders, preferring to lead their people by example and through action rather than being confined to their thrones.
“If you had felt yourself sufficient, it would have been a proof that you were not. Therefore, under us and under the High King, you shall be King of Narnia, Lord of Cair Paravel, and Emperor of the Lone Islands.“ - Prince Caspian

Task #1 - Skai Rai Inspired by Elektra Natchios
“You don't get what you want by day. You take it by force at night.”
Elektra Natchios is many things wrapped into one. She’s seductive, manipulative, and dark. She pulls you in with the fun, the danger, and the spontaneity and all the while her sense of love and of family is warped. In most situations she’s a manipulator. She’s danger and trouble wrapped into a beautiful and seductive package. But she’s also deadly. She was trained at an early age to defend herself, to kill or be killed. She can morph herself into whatever her mark needs at the time not to realize that they’re on the receiving end of a con to get what she wants whether that be information or access to whatever she needs. And if she gets herself into a sticky situation, she can fight and if necessary kill her way out of it.
She’s the first person that comes to mind for Skai, because Skai was taken from her mother at an early age to be raised as fae rather than surrounded by humans. Her father taught her how to defend herself as being lesser fae she can’t glamor her wings, and it made her an easy target. He taught her to kill or be killed. He warped the innocent child that she was in the human world, watching her mother and step father die, believing her half sister to have been dead darkened and twisted something within her early on. The act of kill or be killed had begun to make sense. It was survival. She learned to be useful, to adapt to any situation. To be more appealing to humans when she needed to be, to be more appealing to fae in other situations. She used her prowess to gain information and intel. She’s a master at manipulating those around her. What’s seemingly a normal conversation, a simple flirtation is always to her advantage as guards are low and words tend to slip. What could seem like useless information to some, Skai files away for future use.

hiro tanaka  task #1: character comparisons
Tadashi Hamada is incredibly kind, encouraging and hard-working. He does not believe in "dead ends" and values hard work to accomplish goals. He strives to be a great brother and tries to always be there when people need them whilst still maintaining an energetic sense of humor that can be silly and excitable. But, Tadashi also has carried a burden of responsibility from a young age, having to care for his younger brother alongside their aunt in place of their parental figures whom they had lost. Similar to Tadashi, Hiro has a strong moral complex. He will go out of his way to help others or ease them in any way that he can. He has this lovable almost puppy like quality about him similar to Doug from Up. But, Hiro also can be very serious and responsible especially when it comes to his daughter whom he’s fairly over protective of. Hiro is happy to dedicate himself to helping others no matter what the cost is to him which like Tadashi could cost him down the line.
“I'm not giving up on you. You don't understand this yet, but people need you. So let's get back to work.” - Tadashi Hamada

AHQTASK  01 | CHARATER COMPARISON FELIKS DYATLOV & CAPTAIN JAMES T. KIRK
"You're right! What I'm about to do, it doesn't make sense, it's not logical, it is a gut feeling! I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I only know what I can do. The Enterprise and her crew needs someone in that chair who knows what he's doing. And it's not me. It's you, Spock." -James T. Kirk
Jim Kirk is loyal, intrepid, brilliant, and charming. He works to serve his crew and the Federation with honor and strength. For all his great compassion, he can be reckless and stubborn. When Jim loves he loves deeply and he is not a man to make an enemy out of. Feliks is much the same way. He lives to serve his Court and when he loves, he loves forever and without exception. Feliks is moodier than Jim but makes up for it with the same boyish charm. Both have strong values of equality, peace, and empathy. However, Feliks does not live in a world that prioritizes those values.

TASK #1: Character Comparisons
LYSANDER CAERWYN as JARETH THE GOBLIN KING (Labyrinth)
Immortal rulers of a fantastical realm, Lysander and Jareth share much in common with one another. They are seductive figures of authority and magic, well known for their rather spoiled ways, their vanity, and their striking appearances. Though Jareth is more mercurial than Lys, and more prone to outbursts of irritation with his subjects, Lys has the same potential to be extremely dangerous and vindictive if pushed far enough. His ongoing feud with Gabriel Beaumont shows the more antagonistic side of his personality, one where he is willing to push buttons and challenge those who oppose him as Jareth challenges Sarah. Both the Goblin King and the High Lord of Dawn are given over to lavish parties and schemes, often choosing to manipulate situations with underhanded tricks and subtlety rather than outright conflict. There’s also no denying the parallels of Jareth absconding with people (namely Sarah’s brother Toby), and the Dawn Court’s penchant for stealing away humans they find interesting or useful. Nor both men’s unique magical talents for manifesting and manipulating the dreams of others.
“It's a crystal. Nothing more. But if you turn it this way and look into it, it will show you your dreams.”
... as HERBERT VON KROLOCK (Tanz der Vampire)
These immortals share an overarching characterization that can only be described as “fabulous”. Herbert is the flamboyant gay son of a vampire, a playful and fun figure who is very forthright in his desires and who pursues his passions openly. He is extremely confident in himself and completely unapologetic, as Lysander is, and both are bold and persistent when it comes to getting what they want. Herbert is taken with an adorable young vampire hunter and pursues him openly despite the era’s cultural mores against his sexuality; Lys is promiscuous and does not hide his nature despite the disapproval of surrounding Courts. They are not overly given to displays of anger or violence, though of course both can have their moments, and for the most part are more focused on enjoying themselves in the moment and enjoying all that their eternal lives can offer them. Oh, and they’re both extremely pretty, and they know it.
“You're trembling with fear, mon chéri.”           “I never tremble!”      “Oh yes, you are scared, my friend!           “They say there's a ball somewhere.”      “You have a nice butt!”

— ❝  you don’t need mutations to strip men of their humanity. i’ve seen plenty of examples.❞
Parentless. Raised by the sword and the shield. Too often shunned in decent company and largely regarded as an outcast or a lone wolf; a manmade monster sent to hunt and destroy creatures far more terrifying than him. Geralt of Rivia might be a manufactured magical being himself, but he still feels the bone-aching loneliness and isolation that comes with being a mercenary. Specifically, a mercenary who is part of a guild destined to destroy monsters. Alexander Barrett, an orphan crafted into a weapon by the human resistance, is able to relate to Geralt’s deep sense of isolation, duty, and his own internal battle against morals, ethics, and empathy that the rest of humanity seems to dole out in spades. Geralt struggles to retain a sense of humanity not unlike Alexander’s own internal struggles. Both men find themselves to be dedicated to their craft while battling with their own sense of self and worth.
Alexander is a man who trusts few and far in-between, and is greatly regarded for his skill in battle and his cunning prowess: traits that Geralt of Rivia seems to possess in near abundance. He’s pragmatic, if not cynical, and a life of unkindness has molded Alexander into the cold monster he believes himself to be today. He might have the love and trust of a few loyal companions, but he is a monster haunted by his past and plagued by his future.

Mahina: Tinkerbell from Peter Pan
Mahina and Tinkerbell go hand in hand. Though Tink tends to have a bit more confidence in herself than Mahina at times they are both inquisitive adventurers, inventive, and well practiced in their craft. Mahina’s confident in her work and knows very well what she is doing when it comes to healing.
She experiments frequently and tinkers with her craft to perfect it. She likes to be left alone at times but is also attracted to receiving attention of any kind. She is very devoted to those around her and would gladly take their “medicine” for them if she had to. Just be sure to clap if you believe in her, sometimes she needs that boost.
Though she isn’t quite as skilled as Tinkerbell is in mending certain objects, Mahina never turns down the challenge to try to mend her own clothes and other things around her treehouse. She is very stubborn and can be sassy like her pixie partner, but her loyalty and good spirit shines a little brighter than her negative traits.

Jakovan Petrov / Character Comparisons
One definition of loyalty is that it is “faithful adherence to a sovereign...commitments or obligations.” It is a trait that Jakovan certainly exemplifies. For both is court and his family.
James “Jamie” Fraser (Outlander): An 18th century Scottish Highlander born to eventually lead his family’s clan, Jamie’s well educated - accent be damned ( lol ) - but is never afraid to get dirty ( & fight ) to solve problems, if needed. He reminds me of Jakovan bc he’s the same. Always thinking, planning ahead to skillfully predict potential moves of others, he also knows when to use his hands and ice magic to eliminate a threat.
Rory Williams (Doctor Who): ( MY SON !! ) You can’t tell from his gifs ( my bad lol ) but Rory wears his heart on his sleeve. Like Jakovan. A kind and talented nurse in his own right, Rory is the scalpel to the hammer that is Jamie in this comparison. An alias of Rory on Doctor Who is ‘The Last Centurion’ aka the boy who waited. Literally ( in that last gif ) - he died, came back as a Roman soldier and volunteers to watch over protect his wife ( who’s in the box ) for almost 2 millennia. This is Jakovan bc - romance aside - he would do that, protect his loved ones w/o a second thought. He’s that kinda dude.

Astralis Task #1: Character Comparisons
we all have moments when you’re reading a book, watching a movie or playing a video game when you come across a character that absolutely fits your muse to the letter! whether it be their aesthetics, their personality or storyline, this first task is all about matching your muse with other muses.  pick at least one fictional character from any media of your choice, such as literature, television, comics or video games and tell us a little bit about how they reflect your own muse’s traits! comparisons can come from any angle you like. does a certain character have your muse’s aesthetic? do their personalities put them in the same mindset? do you think they would jam out to the same playlist or share a birthday? now’s the time to let us know, and maybe learn something new along the way!
HOW TO GO ABOUT THIS TASK
– ♡  this task is an optional activity, but we encourage members to participate and tag their work with ahqtask1
– ♡  in terms of which characters you can include, the sky is (mostly) the limit! any fictional character from whatever source they’re from is acceptable, but we ask that you keep any non-fictional people out, along with any characters from anime/manga sources. we also ask that you exclude any characters that grossly and intentionally perpetuate stereotypes against any marginalized populations. be respectful, in a nutshell! if you’re not sure, you can always ask the admins!
– ♡  if you would like some inspiration, you can take a look over at sites like TV Tropes to find characters that might match your muse’s traits! you can also reach out in our ooc discord if you would like the brainstorm with the group
– ♡  we ask that you find at least one character that can relate to your muse in any way, but you can certainly choose more than that if you like!
– ♡  while an aesthetic is not required, we certainly encourage it! this would be a perfect time to break out those moodboard gifs you’ve been saving for a rainy day!
– ♡  if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the admins or the main!

Astralis Task 001 / Character Comparisons
Cian O’Gorman as Peaky Blinders Michael Gray
While I struggled with this decision (wanting Cian to be Tommy Shelby) I came to a realization that Cian is Michael Gray. Cian was an outsider into fae culture. He was raised among the human, blissfully ignorant about the fae and their politics. Until the day came where his whole world changed. His devil of an uncle came to plucked him from his fantasy garden and plant him among the wolves of Astralis’ Courts; but a wolf dressed in silk, is still a wolf. Like Michael, Cian learned quickly how to navigate.
Cian also learned from the devil, as Michael learned from Thomas. Cian was thrown into the deep end and was excepted to swim. Luckily for Cian, he’s a fast learned. Young and scrappy Cian learned all his uncles tricks and the moment he saw his opportunity, he didn’t hesitate. His uncle’s death baptized young Cian, and he emerged a new fae.
Lastly, Cian is a loyal to a fault. Although he knew killing his uncle was necessary, it still haunts him today. Cian will do anything for the people he call kin, his clan, and his high lord. Cian has been trying to erase the marks against his family, and the murder of his uncle as the decades wane. He will do anything to save his kin and court.

Thor Odinson - The God of Thunder
Thor’s arc has always been the most fascinating to me. It’s obvious that what he values is honor and glory, and gaining such glory through a straight arrow path. He then however, learns that glory can come through different means. Friendship, love, being good and finding good without having to deal with the spoils of war.
Him and Matthew share a lot of the same values. They enjoy life and ride the storms, but also understand the importance of their duty. They hold loyalty and trust at the highest regard and don’t take lightly to betrayal. Lastly, I feel they are both bleeding hearts and would do anything for the person that they love. A burning hearth of honor and warmth, with lightning and thunder thrumming in their veins.

Astralis Task #1 - Kael Endiron as Oberyn Martell (A Song of Ice and Fire)
Younger brothers of noteriety both for unpredictability and cunning, Kael and Oberyn share many personality traits and habits. Both are rather infamous for the sheer number and variety of lovers they’ve had, though Kael has been far more cautious of producing any heirs and both are fearsome fighters with a willingness to use underhanded methods in order to get their way. Kael and Oberyn also share a silver tongue, which they use to verbally eviscerate those who annoy them. Beneath their hedonistic and mercurial ways lies a steadfast loyalty to one’s family; Oberyn’s to his paramour and many bastard daughters and Kael to the Inner Court of Night. And both hold a long-standing thirst for revenge against the ones responsible for the murder of their respective sisters.
Oberyn’s passions were the very thing that drove him to his untimely demise, and there is no telling if Kael won’t succumb to a similar fate as well.
“Oberyn was ever the viper. Deadly, dangerous, unpredictable. No man dared tread on him.” - A Dance With Dragons

Task #1 Wren Hartwell Inspired by Flower & Luna Lovegood
I'm a turtle. Rrrr! [pause] What? Turtles are so scary. - Flower
Flower is an adorably bashful, sweet and friendly Skunk. He’s very kind and wouldn’t harm a fly. He reminds me of Wren in the way that even when Bambi called him Flower, he didn’t bother correcting. He just went with it. And In trying to be menacing it falls flat into more adorable than anything else. That’s Wren in her every day life. She’s shy, sweet, and friendly. If someone called her the wrong name, she wouldn’t correct it. She’d simply go with it. It’d probably take her a while to work up the nerve to actually tell a person that they called her the wrong name. Or they’d just forever know her as the wrong name because she wouldn’t have the heart to say that it was wrong.
“I enjoyed the meetings, too. It was like having friends.” - Luna Lovegood
Luna Lovegood is often alone but she’s not a loner, she’s eccentric which makes her an outsider and on the receiving end of practical jokes and unpleasant gossip about her. Even thought all of this, she’s still friendly and she’s still optimistic. It’s definitely a lot like Wren. While she’s not as eccentric, she did find herself more of an outsider in her family. She was raised without the ambitions of the Court. Without the understanding of the necessity of violence and enemy courts. She sees the beauty in everything and everyone. She doesn’t draw enemy lines. Despite feeling like an outsider and being treated like one, she still remains optimistic and positive. It’s rare that she sees a glass half empty. Even through her toughest moments in life she still manages to see the glass half full.

guinevere adler-hartwell task #1: character comparisons
I've been making shows of trading blows, Just hoping no one knows that I've been going through the motions, Walking through the part, Nothing seems to penetrate my heart” - Buffy Summers; Buffy the Vampire Slayer the Musical
Gwen is a perfect mix between Elle Woods and Buffy Summers, not only through their character arcs, but also with fragments of their personalities. Buffy Summers is the high school cheerleading vampire slayer. Buffy and Gwen both desperately desire a sense of normalcy and inclusion. They recoil away from the sense of duty thrusted upon both of them before ultimately accepting it. They are upbeat, stubborn and natural leaders with strong moral compasses. They both value honesty and determination and, in many ways, are just normal girls whom want what everyone else has- friends, love, and a simple naivety that they both lost a long time ago. But, both Buffy and Gwen were forced to grow up too soon, possessing a core strength that enables them to withstand the trials ahead. Buffy often appears a bit more jaded than Gwen does off the bat, as Gwen hides much more behind the peppy image she’s crafted for herself. But, both Buffy and Gwen have experienced a lot of social isolation from the positions which has allowed them to develop a strong sense of empathy towards others. They both often feel incredibly lonely despite being surrounded by others. They both embrace their femininity in a way that is unique to them and both aren’t afraid to get down and dirty. Gwen, like Buffy, is one of the first to run towards danger rather than away from it. They both subject themselves to precarious situations to help them feel indestructible or alive and, like Buffy, Gwen enjoys collecting different weapons not only for their functionality, but also for the art of it all.
Like Elle, Gwen is an energetic, sweet, thoughtful and persistent young woman. Gwen is less girly than Elle, but both of them are often underestimated or not taken seriously in part because of their fun loving nature and cheerful optimism. When Gwen arrived at the Day Court, similar to Elle’s arrival at Harvard, she found herself being very out of place among the rest. Gwen didn’t play by the rules. She was unruly at times and clung to her strong sense of self. She held her head high despite the looks she often received for dancing barefoot in a grand hall or indulging in the food on display at tea parties rather than ignoring it. She often has a bright smile on her face and a sunny disposition that can make her seem like she’s out of touch or naive, when in reality, Gwen clings to hope and optimism since it is all she sometimes feels she has. Gwen believes that if she starts to break down or cry she will never stop, so she’d rather stay positive than dwell in the past. Both Elle and Gwen fell in love with men who tossed them aside. Like Elle, Gwen had been under the assumption that her and Lysander might get married, having to later learn how to stand on her own two feet without him. Like Elle before arriving at Harvard, when Gwen first came to the Day Court, she was happy to just be a princess who laid on the beach and laughed with her friends. But, after being tossed to the side, she began to fight to claim a place of her own. Gwen is intelligent and witty and has begun to throw herself into politics in an attempt to make a name for herself outside of the ‘naive princess’ title that had been placed upon her. Gwen, like Elle, knows her own worth, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t sometimes question whether she can truly break free from other’s misconceptions or if it might be better for her to just give into them.
“Back to the sun, back to the shore, back to what I was before, Back where I’m known, back in my own very small pond, Laugh with my friends when I arrive, We’ll drop the top and just drive. That’s fine with me, Just let me be- legally blonde” - Elle Woods; Legally Blonde the Musical
