[TL] Memories of a Doll/Chapter 6

Time: Several hours later. Around 30 minutes until the end of the flea market

Hajime: …Thank you for your purchase ♪

The majority of Mitsuru-kun’s and my items have been sold. I’m glad people liked them.

Thank you very much to you too, Shiratori-kun. Even though this is your day-off, your help has been wonderful.

Making a display, calling out to potential customers - thanks to that, I think that helped sales a lot.

Aira: A-ah, it’s nothing, really… Thank you for looking out for me…!

However, the sun has almost completely set. People are beginning to close up shop…

The doll never sold. Hnng, I tried lots of different things. Maybe this is sort of like, fate?

If it doesn’t sell, it doesn’t sell, I guess… How disappointing, right?

Hajime: I feel the same way. I wanted to see Otogari-senpai’s happy face.

But, this market gets held regularly, so we can go next time. Then someone will buy him.

Mitsuru: Uhuh~ My shoes happened t’be bought by a kid with the same shoe size as me. That’s just how it goes, right?

Adochan-senpai’s doll will be bought sometime soon!

Adonis: … I suppose. The doll is quite worn though, so it will not be easy to find a buyer.

Hajime: Ah. You’ve hidden behind your mother, perhaps because I spoke to you. You seemed like you had something you wanted to say…

Adonis: What’s the matter? If you’re hiding like that, I can’t talk to you.

? The girl’s mother… I see, since I am big, she is frightened of me. I apologise. That’s why she tugged at Shino instead.

It’s okay. I won’t grab and eat you, so please feel free to talk to me. I will listen to what you have to say.

Hm? So you had set up a stall nearby. Were you intrigued when you saw a doll for sale nearby?
