I know that the lyrics "my two legs are broken but look at me dance" from inertia by AJR probably mean something completely different

But as a disabled person I see them this way

My two legs are broken, they're both broken, but I have to dance, look at me do it, even though I'm in pain I have to dance

To me, the line describes perfectly the anger/sorrow having invisible/undiagnosed physical disabilities in a society that's unsupportive and inconsiderate brings

Even though I am in horrible pain when I'm doing anything that's not sitting down, I still walk to and from school every day, I still have to go out

Making my mom listen to 2085 by AJR bc the poignancy of the lyrics "you gotta get better you're all that Ive got" changing to "I gotta get better I'm all that ive got" is top tier chefs kiss. Bc yeah I am all that ive got!!!! I gotta get better for me!!!! These three men manage to reach inside my chest with every album and pull out lyrics to perfectly encapsulate how im feeling it's insane behavior on their part honestly.
