hi! i know you’re a chris/kurt stan, but i was wondering if you have any favorite blaine moments or blaine episodes? (also, i just wanted to say thank you for defending blaine/klaine so hard. so many kurt stans are so anti blaine and it really bothers me, so thank you for understanding where blaine is coming from too)
Hello there! General Kenobi.
Listen, I will defend Blaine Anderson on my death bed. The amount of shit people choose to hate him for is ridiculous and is more telling of them. Because there's enjoyment of enemies to lovers and then there's just extreme out of character "development" to make your enemies to lover ship seem like the better choice to canon because "omg abuse". Not here for it. Just enjoy your ship but keep the slander and hatred for Blaine Anderson out of it, wow so simple. Amazing.
Okay anyway. Favorite moments and episodes of one Blaine Anderson.
10. Never Been Kissed. I love his introduction. He grabs a strange dudes hand to take a shortcut, then pulls a fast one by being all "oh and by the way I'm a warbler so lemme serenade you real quick strange dude". WHO DOES THAT? It's ridiculous, it's perfect, and it's nice that he's introduced as someone who has also been through the hell of being bullied for something that defines him as a person, but still being the bigger person in the end and coming out stronger. He's there at the right time, the right place, and it's because of him that Kurt remembers he has a voice.
9. In season 6, watching him regain that confidence and stride that he had in season 2? Love it. It's nice to see that he went to therapy, stepped outside his box, and took a chance on something unexpected for himself (even if who he dates is stupid, and it makes me nauseous - I blame the writers for this stupidity and not the character. The character is just their pawn to get the viewers reaction). I like that he fights for Jane, I like how he confronts Rachel and Kurt and doesn't go easy on them in regards to the competition, and I like that even through the bullshit HE is put through he still doesn't let it consume him and make him into a bitter person. Plus, again, HE WENT TO THERAPY! I love that!
8. Dynamic Duets. Seeing Blaine take control of the school without anyone questioning him?! Amazing leadership. We see him being a great leader in other episodes, before and after this one, but this one really hits it on the head. He gets everyone to dress up as superheroes to help boost everyone's confidence, express themselves, and just get out of their box in such a creative and fun way. We see him struggling still with feeling like he fits at McKinley because the reason he transferred is gone and no longer his boyfriend. I like that we can see the struggle! He's lonely. He's depressed. He's trying so hard to be better at getting by, but we see the struggle emotionally and mentally. He almost transfers to Dalton again because he thinks it would be better for everyone. He has Sam now, and that's it (which, bleck blam, but it's still important this episode so whatever). We see how self-destructive he is but still comes out on top by doing something great for the community. I like seeing character development. I like seeing the tidbits of character thought process, because like Blaine I've been there. Wanting to feel apart of something where you feel WANTED not just accepted. — also this episode he shames Mr.Schue for not even noticing the trophy is gone which DRAG HIM ANDERSON!!! That hint of sass! LOVE IT. Also Nightbird as a whole? Yes. Good.
7. Puppet Master. I like seeing what would go on in Blaine's brain on drugs - is that weird? It's an interesting view into his subconscious. He doesn't handle things like everyone else with their fantasy world them being hot and desirable. Nope! Blaine wants to feel validated, appreciated, and interact with felt-people because real people have hurt him - but felt-people can't. Felt-people can be tossed aside without causing them harm. Felt-friends compliment his body. Felt-fiancé's do whatever you want (kinky - what were you going to do with Kurt puppet that night you tried to take him back from Sylvester, Blaine? Cheeky). I like this quirk. I just don't like the ending song, that's it.
6. I love his moments where he performs by himself or for Kurt specifically. There's something different about how he performs if Kurt is watching (Cough Syrup, Teenage Dream (acoustic & original), All of Me, Beauty School Dropout, Barely Breathing (though that's just a figment), It's Not Right) vs. when he's in a group number. He's good in every song he does, and maybe I just think he performs differently because I'm a sucker for the angst majority of those songs being but whatever. I like it.
5. Love the Blaine being dramatic as a whole. Remember his reaction to seeing Tina and Sam making out and then running down the hall? And how MUCH HE LOVES BUMPER BOWLING?! I do. It's amazing.
4. THE WHOLE THING WITH ELLIOTT!!! Why did they only have one scene together?! Elliott being so understanding, and supportive, and not at all thinking Blaine is this weirdo for just BARGING into his apartment the way he does. He just HANDS HIM A GUITAR and Blaine takes it and it WORKS. He lets Blaine vent, he doesn't take it personal, and then Blaine calms down and apologizes. AND THEN THEY JAM. The best thing. That friendship would've been god tier.
3. Also that sass. "Huh, that's so unlike you." "I would say bye, but I wouldn't want to make you angry." "Well, he's not coming out anytime soon." "Why dont YOU put it back because it's YOUR apartment?"
2. I also LOVE that he isn't perfect. I love that we see him struggle. It makes him more realistic. Seeing his body issues in season 5, the depression, the self-destruction, the people pleasing perfectionist, the meltdowns, the struggle - because we see him struggle and overcome it in the end. Despite everything he struggled with, he got his happy ending with his soulmate AND A CHILD. He's succeeding in life with a family!
1. Tested. The whole episode. His traumatic response to Kurt's traumatic response. His body and self-confidence struggles. His defensive attitude and self-destructing basically, before snapping that built-up wall and finally communicating with Kurt about what the underlying problem actually is. IT IS MY FAVORITE EPISODE FOR A REASON! For Blaine, for Kurt, for both of them. Because not everyone reacts to trauma the same! It isn't going to be pretty! It isn't rainbows and puppy dogs dancing on clouds. It's crumbling in silence, and trying to be stronger than you are, and shutting down, and not having processed something completely because life still goes on like the trauma never happened all around you. It doesn't stop. So you find ways to cope. Like eating too many cronuts that you gain more weight and start to slip down a self-loathing hill to the point where you make things up in your head because you're overthinking and not wanting to burden anyone, especially the person you admire and care for the most because then they'll be disappointed in you and that has to be one of the worst feelings. BUT IT ALL COMES TO A HEAD, and ugh. Love it. Dont care. I like the realism about it, angst and all.

Mental illness Klaine fics:
(I DONT like blangst - give me proper diagnosed mental illness or give me nothing)
Reverb by Fickeloden:
Post-Michael thru Season 4, Blaine's just a little unwell, and it's not long before everyone can tell. Physical and Mental illness. Hurt/Comfort. If Robin Cook wrote for Glee and General Hospital, the story would probably go like this. Universe Expansion for Seasons 3 and 4 wherein I add some elements to canon and leave some out but manage to get everyone back to place where they can still have the endings they got in canon. Honestly, I just wanted to write H/C, but the more I hurt Blaine, the more I realized he wasn't going to handle that very well, so I added in diagnosed mental illness.
Heliophilia by bitterlee (PDF):
Blaine Anderson's first year at NYU is documented through a series of meetings with his therapist, and several over-exposed polaroid photos.
Hurricane by a phase that cuts these lips:
Two years after Kurt and Blaine's messy divorce, Kurt finally wins full custody of their daughter after a long and painful battle. A week later, Blaine attempts suicide. He has no one else to turn to, and Kurt volunteers to take him in, believing that he can rehabilitate Blaine. The man he fell in love with is still in there, somewhere - he just has to figure out how to bring him back. The process, however, won't be easy for anyone.
Wonderful life by pulling the puzzles apart:
Blaine walks the same bridge in New York every evening considering jumping and ending his life. He decides to ring the Trevor Project Hotline and hears Kurt's voice. Can he help him? Can he show him that it really is a wonderful life?
One in four by aswinggirlatheart:
When Blaine finds out that Kurt's not being entirely honest with him about who he is, things go to hell in a handbasket pretty damn quickly. Things in Kurt's head were never as simple as they seemed.
Significant others by lovely_sparkle (PDF):
Five years after a nasty college break up, Kurt Hummel and Blaine Anderson are leading very different lives than they expected. Kurt is a successful assistant fashion designer, engaged, and a father-to-be. Blaine is struggling with a failed college career, depression, and drug addiction, ultimately alone. What brought them to those points in their lives, and what happens when they meet one another again?
Sessions by lovely_sparkle:
Kurt goes to see a therapist at the insistence of Rachel and is surprised to discover it's none other than Blaine Anderson, his former best friend and high school crush. Blaine tells Kurt he can't treat him, but what enfolds is something neither could have predicted: a chance for healing for them both.
Down on the corner by flowerfan:
AU after Season 5/ Alt!s6. Blaine went back to Lima after the breakup, but Kurt stayed in New York. They do in fact reunite on the corner outside the loft in six months, but it doesn't go as either of them expected. Over the course of the next year, Blaine struggles to find himself, and Kurt struggles to find Blaine. And while they both realize that love doesn’t necessarily conquer all, they discover that it definitely helps.

It Doesnt Matter What You Think Of Me
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a story that I came up with after hearing that fans were sending Darren’s beautiful and sweet girlfriend hate. Bullying is never okay remember that. Everyone is beautiful and no one should be treated harshly.
Trigger: Mentions of verbal and physical violence. If these could be triggering DONT read.
Darren x Sister Reader
“Well, I must say this celebratory dinner was long over due.” You expressed flashing your brother Darren and his longtime girlfriend Mia a warm smile.
“I’m sorry.” “We’ve all been busy.”  Well most of us.” Darren grinned flashing a cheeky grin in your direction.
“Hey working on the next book for my series definitely keeps me busy.”
“Just ask Chris I’ve been driving him mad worrying about my deadline that’s coming up.”
You grumbled as all three of you walked out the restaurant. Mia just laughed flashing you a wink as your brother took her hand leading you towards the parking lot.
“Man I’m stuffed.” Darren replied with a chuckle.
“Well you did finish Y/N’s plate plus nibble on some of the stuff that was on mine.” Mia says flashing the raven-haired man an adoring smirk.
“Are you insinuating I’m fat?” He questions mocking hurt.
“I was just agreeing with you dear.” She giggled kissing his cheek.
“I love you.” Darren purrs gazing at the brunette beauty lovingly.
“I love you too.” She whispers as he presses a short kiss to her lips.
“Ewwww guys can you wait until you get home?”
You questioned wrinkling your nose at the happy couple.
“Why does this bug you?”  He questions dipping Mia quickly and pressing a kiss to her lips.
“You’re disgusting.” You chuckled. Staring at your brother and really close friend fondly.
“You know you love it.” Your older brother by three years grins leaning forward to place a kiss on your cheek.
“Don’t even think about it!” You scold e/c eyes eerily similar to his flashing.
Being the youngest of the Criss children and the only girl the pap’s had a field day with you.
In appearance you were very similar to your brothers. Standing at 5’0 with olive skin, long messy raven-haired curls and piercing e/c eyes. Although you were gifted in music like Darren and Chuck you’d chosen to go the writing route.
You had gotten close to your brother’s best friend and co-star Chris Colfer. The pair of you were so close that you’d gotten an apartment together about two years prior.
“So any plans for my favorite couple?” You questioned.
“Well…” Darren smirked wiggling his eyebrows in your direction.
“Ugh forget I even asked.” You exclaimed clearly mortified earning a laugh from the man.
“Wow what’s he doing with her he’s wasting his time.” A nasty voice whispered. “She’s so ugly why is he dating her anyways.” Another voice replied in agreement.
You stopped finding the source in two girls that were standing off to the side of the building.
They looked like they were both about twenty-two and were dressed in Hedwig t-shirts.
Both girls screamed fake from their awful weaves and clown makeup to their dragon lady nails.
Darren and Mia were still walking ahead they obviously hadn’t heard the girls.
“He’s too good for that gold-digging skank.” The blonde retorted to her friend who was a definite bottled redhead.
Most people who heard the name Y/N Criss thought of a sweetheart who was usually soft spoken.
To those who knew you though it was evident you’d fight to the death to protect the people you loved. You were the kind of person who didn’t put up with any shit and bullying was one of the main things you despised.
Darren used to tease you about being like Blaine because you shared many similar characteristics to his character he’d played on Glee.
“What did you just call her?”
You questioned as you stared at the two girls in a surprisingly soft voice.
“As if I’d tell you!” the blonde sneered sending daggers your way.
Darren turned his head having heard the girl’s shrill voice. You strode over towards the two girls stopping right in front of them.
Although both girls were taller then you by a long shot you held your ground.
“I’m going to say it again.”
“What did you call her?”
“I said that she’s a disgusting gold digging skank!” The girl said this time loud enough that Darren and Mia could hear.
“I’d watch your mouth.” You purred eyes shining darkly.
“Why what are you going to do about it?”
“Its never right to put people down because you’re jealous.” You tried to sound as calm possible but it was hard.
“You call yourselves fan’s of my brother but a true fan would be happy for him.”
“Mia is one of the sweetest, and most amazing women.” “I’ve ever known.” “ I’m so thankful I get to call her a sister and a friend.” You expressed firmly.
“Wow who knew that you could be such a bitch!” The blonde snapped her piercing blue eyes shining with maliciousness.
“It doesn’t matter what you think of me.”
“You’re both terrible people because you’d rather put other people down instead of working on yourselves.”
“I don’t care what you think of me.” Just know if you guys continue this nonsense behavior you’ll end up alone and miserable.”
“Apologize.” You chastised your e/c gaze landing on your brother and Mia. Darren had his arms around her protectively. Mia looked at the exchange with wide eyes. She wasn’t in tears but you could clearly tell the girls words had stung.
“I’m not going to ask again.”
“Apologize now!”
The redhead glared at Darren and Mia.
“I’m sorry.” “ You’re both stuck with a man who doesn’t love you and an old hag for a friend.” “As is being ugly wasn’t enough.” The blonde finished harshly.
“You know what we’re done here!”  You snapped hands balling into fists as you stalked away from the girls only to grabbed by your hair.
The girl was forceful and you stumbled backwards cringing as you felt a sharp connection to your face followed by an unearthly crunching sound.
You sat there stunned as the feeling of blood flowing down your face registered in your senses. Standing up on shaky legs you turned flipping both girls a double finger as you still held your ground.
 “We’re done!” “Assholes.”
You snapped heading over towards Darren and Mia who were staring at you with wide eyes.
Darren’s jaw was set and his usually vibrant hazel eyes were dark with fury. He was pissed no he was beyond pissed.
“If I press charges don’t be surprised.”
He shouted throwing a protective arm around you and Mia before leading you both towards his car.
You kept your mouth shut as all three of you made it to the car. Darren helped Mia in the front seat pressing a loving kiss to her head.
Standing there sort of awkwardly you let out a wince as the adrenaline started to were off.
 “Are you alright?”
Darren asked placing his hands on your shoulders and peaking down at you with a worried expression.
“I’m fine.”You confirmed wrinkling your nose out of habit.
 “Son of a bitch!”
You cursed at the sharp pain that ran through your face. Your brother let out sigh taking off his hoodie handing it to you.
“Here get in the back and sit forward with this against your nose to help the bleeding.” He commanded opening the door for you.
“But Dar this is your favorite sweatshirt?” You whined. Getting in the back like he asked.
“And you’re my only sister.” He said shutting the door before climbing in the driver’s side.
 “Dar I can walk.”
You groaned as Darren carried you into you and Chris’s shared apartment.
“ I’m sure you can but those pain-killers the doctor gave you are pretty strong.”
“So…”
“So you’re going to let me take care of you like any good big brother would.”
 “Fine.” You groaned irritably.
“Besides it’s the most I could do after what you did today.” He whispered in your ear.
“What the hell happened?” Chris’s worried voice hit your ears as Darren set you on the couch.
“Some girls outside of the diner were talking shit about Mia.” “Y/N tried to get them to apologize and they attacked her.” Darren growled his eyes holding that same dark edge from earlier.
“Oh my goodness.” Chris cooed kneeling in front of you.
“ Sweetie.”
He sighed taking in the forming black eyes and splint that was on your broken nose.
 “I plan on pressing charges.”
“I told you there’s no need for that.”  You grumbled staring at your brother with a groan.
“You’re my family. Its my job to protect you.” Darren snapped his voice getting louder then normal.
“I’m not saying that its not. It’s my job as well.” You expressed calmly.
“Can we talk about this later.” You whined. “I have a headache.”
“Please?” A whimper escaped your throat.
Tears began flowing down your cheeks as the exhaustion and stress of the night’s events caught up with you.
“Hey it’s okay.” Darren cooed pulling you into his lap
. “I’m sorry Sprout.” He soothed placing a kiss on your head.
“I’m just really tired and these meds aren’t helping.”
“I know.”
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s just you’re my baby sister and I hate the thought of anyone hurting you.” he purred.
“I know Dar.” “ You need to go be with Mia right now she needs you more then I do.”
 "But…”
“Go.” Your hands gently pressed at his chest in an attempt to get him to move.
 “Okay.”
He sighed setting you on the couch and pressing another kiss to your head.
 “She’s in good hands Criss.”
“Now go.” Chris states placing a comforting hand on his best friends shoulder.
“I’ll call you if we need anything now go to Mia.” He chastised shooing the shorter man out the door.
“Go get changed into something comfortable.” Chris instructed.
With a sigh you shuffled into your bedroom throwing on a pair of black yoga pants and a Blaine Anderson is my spirit animal sweatshirt. Darren had gotten made for you a few years ago as a Christmas gift.
  “Better?”
The dark haired man questioned. He’d changed into a pair of gray sweats and a soft red hoodie. In the short amount of time it had taken you to get changed your best friend had gotten out blankets and the opening credits for Tangled was up on the TV.
“Have I told you that you’re my favorite?”
“A time or two.” He grinned.
“Now sit down and get comfortable.” “I’ll make some of the hot chocolate up that you like.” He murmured pressing a kiss to your forehead.
 “Yes dad!”
“Oh you’re into that now?” He questioned with a devilish smirk.
 “ Shut up Colfer.”
“Wow I’m so hurt.” He chuckled as you took a seat on the couch and got comfy.
“Here you are my dear.” Chris expressed in a mock British accent as he handed you a mug of steaming hot chocolate.
 “Why thank you good sir.”
Chris set his own mug down as he sat on the couch and wrapped a strong arm around your shoulders. Your head found its way to his chest as you curled into his side.
“I’m so proud of you.” The man announced.
“Its no big deal really.” You sighed sleepily.
“But it is.”
“Sweetie you did something not a lot of people would be willing to do.” “You stood up for the people you love and that shows something about your character.”
“You don’t take shit from anyone and that’s one of the things I love most about you.”
“Awww you’ve gotten soft in your old age.” You teased letting out a chuckle only to wince as your nose tried to wrinkle.
 “Honey we’re the same age.”
“It doesn’t mean your memory isn’t a little foggy.”
“Rude.”
"You know I love you Colfer.”
“Yes I do.” He sighed letting his chin rest on you head.
“Christopher will you sing to me please?” You asked eyelids already starting to feel heavy from the medication. Certain painkillers knocked you out more then most people.
 “Any requests?”
“No.”
A content sigh hit your lips as your best friends gentle voice began singing “Sleepsong” from the Secret Garden. This song was one of your all time favorites.
Lay down your head and I'll sing you a lullaby
Back to the years of loo-li lai-lay
And I'll sing you to sleep and I'll sing you tomorrow
Bless you with love for the road that you go
May you sail far to the far fields of fortune
With diamonds and pearls at your head and your feet
And may you need never to banish misfortune
May you find kindness in all that you meet
May there always be angels to watch over you
To guide you each step of the way
To guard you and keep you safe from all harm
Loo-li, loo-li, lai-lay
May you bring love and may you bring happiness
Be loved in return to the end of your days
Now fall off to sleep, I'm not meaning to keep you
I'll just sit for a while and sing loo-li, lai-lay
May there always be angels to watch over you
To guide you each step of the way
To guard you and keep you safe from all harm
Loo-li, loo-li, lai-lay, loo-li, loo-li, lai-lay
Loo-li, loo-li, loo-li, lai-lay
Loo-li, loo-li, loo-li lai-lay
Loo-li, loo-li, loo-li lai-lay
Loo-li, loo-li, loo-li lai-lay
Loo-li, lai-lay
A content sigh hit your lips as you fell asleep feeling safe and loved in the arms of your best friend.
“So when’s the wedding?” Darren belted causing you to let out a scream and cling to Chris’s taller body at the sound of your older brothers voice.
“Ugh remind me why we gave him a key again?” Chris groaned his voice rough with sleep.
“Because you insisted he have one in case of emergencies.”
You grumbled burying your face into the crook of the dark haired man’s neck.
Chris just ignored Darren wrapping his arms tighter around your waist as he let you continue laying on him.
 “Dar please go away.”
“Wow that’s a way to treat your loving big brother who brought you both breakfast and coffee.
“Breakfast.” You quipped ears lifting at your brother’s words.
“Coffee!” Chris expressed excitedly jumping up causing you to fall of the couch both of you screaming as you did so.
  “Ugh get off me Christopher.”
You groaned at the feeling of the man’s entire body weight crushing you to the floor.
Your tiny hands tried to press him off you as Darren snickering hit your ears.
“Shut up jerk!” You grumbled as Chris climbed off you before helping you to your feet.
 “Sorry about that.”
“Its fine.” You sighed both of you stalking off towards your bathroom.
“ Where are you going?” Darren questioned.
“ We both don’t feel like having morning breath Darren.” You snapped grumpily.
“Fine. If you eat my blueberry doughnut. I’ll kill you.”  You threatened eyes flashing.
“You love me to much for that besides I payed for them.” The black haired man scoffed with a slight roll of his eyes.
“Ahhhh I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” Darren screamed as you jumped on his back trying to get him into a chokehold.
“I told you not to eat it. Those are my favorite. You ate it on purpose.” You growled eyes flashing.
“Look if you let me go I’ll buy you an entire dozen I swear.”
“Just let me go.” He panted seeing stars as you got a decent grip on his throat.
“Well what did I miss?” Mia asked taking a seat beside Chris who was calmly watching the exchange sipping his coffee.
“Nothing much. Darren stole Y/N’s food again didn’t he?”
“ Yup.” The dark haired man sighed.
“Y/N please stop I’m getting light headed.” Darren whined trying to get out of your grip.
 “Good you deserve it.”
Mia took at seat beside her boyfriend’s best friend bringing her coffee to her lips as her and Chris shared a knowing smirk.
Life with the Criss Siblings was never dull even if it got a little hectic at times.
 “Darren are you okay?”
 “Darren!”
A sharp slapping sound echoed across the room as you smacked yur brother trying to wake him.
“What the Hell Y/N?” Your older grown grumbled coming too.
“Oh good you’re awake. Now I can start all over again.”  Get off.”
“Not until you promise to not choke me.”
 “Nope.”
“All right but I had a must warn you.”
“I had a breakfast burrito before I came here and you know how those mess me up.”
 “Don’t you dare!”
