Taking that little break from longfic to focus on TKB 2nd chance really helped me with the Ch101 WiP I'd redone no less than 5 times. It's now wrapped up (more yay!)

Started on the new TKB chapter and I think I went a little too much YGOTAS with Malik lol (decided to stick with sub names for this particular fic). I'm debating whether or not I want to dial it back a bit. Ah, who am I kidding. I love having that one character that is the perfect source for comedic shenanigans. Since the focus is on TKB, I think Malik will fill that role quite nicely.

In non-YGO related news, I just found out that Spice and Wolf is getting a remake in 2024 with the original cast! Like many other remakes, it's supposed to follow the light novels more closely. I can't wait to see Holo and Lawrence again!

To those who have patiently waited for a new chapter of Our Scars remind Us that the Past was Real (aka TKB 2nd chance fic), you will be thrilled to learn that there are TWO chapters coming in the near future!

Both with be posted at the same time, as they kind of go together. It started out as one chapter, but it started getting a bit on the long side. Also, I realized there was a change in the chapter theme, and I was able to find a good cut-off point between the two.

Me: Struggles for the past few months to get even my longfic grouping finished.

Also me: Writes almost an entire new chapter for TKB 2nd chance AND adds nearly 400 words to the sequel chapter to Returned that I started last May and never finished (all over the course of the past 24 hours)

873 on new TKB 2nd chance chapter, the rest on new version of YGO OC Week intro.

I was trying to go from OC perspective from the start, but I feel like I had too much crammed into it. Switched up perspective to a canon character to ease the reader into meeting her.

It's driving me crazy trying to title the new TKB chapter (even though it's not finished). There's only one word that works, but it just feels so...bland and generic. It conveys the whole chapter perfectly symbology-wise, but it still just doesn't feel quite right. Oh well, I'll probably go with it anyway.

Trying to find the motivation to open my docs today. Played around with BunKura and Stabby today, but not much motivation to anything beyond that. Just one of those cold blah days I guess.

Probably doesn't help that whenever I wrap up a chapter I feel torn on what to work on next. Do I try to add to one of my other docs and give longfic a break? Do I start new chapter? How do I want to start new chapter?Ugh. Too many WiP's.

I've tried to narrow my 'actives' down to longfic, Dork of Shrimp, TKB 2nd chance, and 'Returned' follow-up. I want to narrow it down to just longfic and one other, but it's hard when I have multiple brainrots going on simultaneously. I could probably give longfic focus a short break...but being that the next chapter is Chapter 100, brain is going 'pssst...100 is a nice even number...you should totally write that one before placing longfic on backburner...'

Most of it was done before work this morning. Started working on new TKB 2nd chance chapter. Still waiting for a day to go through the chapter that needs a read-through for any possible edits.

Brain is being mean. I thought 'A Soul's Reality' was going to be the title to TKB 2nd chance, but that Papa Roach lyric (along with the whole song), feels more in-line with the basic idea of the fic (from multiple PoV's).

Started a draft version 2 of the new TKB 2nd chance chapter. I may have it finished. A lot of stuff will get clarified for our beloved TKB. Then the fun of having a 2nd chance really begins.

A title did meander into my brain...but it's not really resonating. Maybe a few more chapters will do the trick. Next chapter probably won't be published until Wednesday, mostly because I work later than usual the next two days and don't want to edit and post something with eyes that will probably be dragging on the floor.
