Aries journey, page 4, 5 and 6, its a long one.

Little bit lat, got three sessions worth of stuff now. Let’s get back to it.

Page 4 ;

After the close encounter we had last fight, Aries, Elanya and Clancy, the surviving member of our group, head towards the city of Kaair.

We realised that Elanya, after falling into the strange lake during the fight with the demons has fallen ill.

We press forward, heading into the city hoping to find a healer for Elanya. We are stopped at the gate and questionned for our reason for coming here.

We explain the situation and the nearby demons. The guards escort us to the leader of Kaair.

His name is Umbrage, and he revealed that he created the plane we are in right now. He’s definitely not one we should be dealing with right now, but he can help save Elanya and that’s enough for us.

Aries learn that Kusada, the druid she was looking for is in the East, where the camp of Raiders (Demons) are. She must’ve been kidnapped by the raiders.

Umbrage also gives us another bit of information. A prisoner.whom he consider expendable is in the prison and we could take him with us to attack the camp of raiders.

Turns out its Dahrmos, Elanya’s master, who fled the city where the group met for the first time (Shikari). Aries and Elanya both had question for him since he left in such a hurry.

We discuss his motives and the reason for him being in this dimension and his connection to Assaar. Both him and Aries’s master share a goal : Manipulate life and death to bring back lost ones. The means to achieve this is mostly about sacrificing Brood Child for one part and other steps im not aware of just yet.

Aries also noticed that, Darhmos has a nasty side to him. She saw him gaslighted Elanya, maybe it wasn’t always intentional but she will keep a close eye on him. Elanya literally kneeled in front of him claiming she wasn’t worthy of his attention, ence why he left her at the start of the campaign.

Elanya inadvertently reveal our sole mean of leaving the Shadowland, wich is a NPC Warforge who goes by the name of Bronze. Upon learning of this fact, he abandon the group.

Aries was actually glad he left because they weren’t seeing eye to eye on most things. He did left us with his destination : Kathal, wich is also where I might find my old mentor.

Page 5 ;

We slept, get our strenght back and shop. Aries haggle with our courtesan skill to get stuff for the group. A bottle of the finest alcool for Elanya, an alien-like gun for Clancy, and she attempted to get some Basic Healing Potions but wasn’t able to convince the trader.

We traded something, I don’t remember what exactly for the Potions in the end and start our mission to retrieve the druid.

We located the raiders, remaining at a safe distance and scouting out the place.

At the center of the “camp” is a giant cocoon, wich we indentify as a means for the demons to mutate humanoids into demons of their own. We assume my target is in there. The cocoon is fueled with veins or roots wich are fill with Tenebris (corrupting agents of the abyss basically). We also notice a third party scouting the place.

They are the Crimson Blade, or the last Crimson Blade. Old heroes who helped killed demons in the past. Seeing how we have similar goal we team up

The Crimson Blade, Horobo, and his assistant, Doumon, want to capture a infant demon (the infant demon is alien to its own species it would seems and shows sign of greater intellec) among the raiders. To show as proof to the world of the invasion in the Shadowland.

The Crimson Blade, will act as a distraction for the 3 demons “boss”, fighting them head on.

Elanya and Clancy will attempt to subdue the infant demon while the distraction is going on.

And Aries will use Moonbeam to cut the abyssal beins to stop the flow of Tenebris and hopefully save the peoples inside the cocoon.

Fight start, the Crimson Blade hold his on for a while, Elanya and Clancy’s attempt are not quite succesful at first, since the infant demon mess with their head, making them see their loved ones. The Crimson’s assistant drops the infant while I barely manage to cut off all the abyssal veins off the cocoon.

Problem is, the big 3 demons are getting the upper hand, and they unleash on us their foddes demons (around 100), wich we can’t take on. Elanya and Clancy grab the infant and flee to make sure that they at least succeed on their part of the mission.

Aries wild shape into the Maddening Barbtail and fly into the open cocoon while being the target of a swarm of demons. I got real close to dying there, dropping to 1 hit point once. I found my target, almost dead on the ground, and surrounded. I couldn’t Heal myself and the druid, Wild shape and fly away on the same turn, so I healed  Kusada and Wild shape, hoping my form would survive the assault. Kusada with this renewed vitality had other project in mind. She Planeshift me and her back to Vinimo, my hometown, leaving the rest of my party alone, and Aries worried.

The party survived the Shadowland, they were chased out because the Umbrage didn’t want any informations about the invasion would leak in the other plane.

We leveled up to 4th level. It took a month for the group to reunite again in the material plane. Aries took the new Chef feat, to increase her Wisdom to 15 and also provide some nice food for her party.

During the month she also trained Kon’Stell to be a sidekick, teaching him some magic to defend himself if Aries wasn’t around.

We met up inside the Gray Lynx, a tavern/inn who’s a cover for our new party members,  Vincenzo the human, information broker. He has informations on Assaar who his working with a mafia-like group inside the city of Kathal. Why? We don’t know yet.

And Belnan, a half-elf Thor inspired barbarian of the Storm Herald who’s got beef with someone in the organisation.

Vincenzo wants our help to bring down the organisation (Kiori Serra I believe the name of the organisation is), and at the same time help us with Assaar.

We are going to a PARTY! Vincenzo will provide the disguise and the invitation.

After that we had downtime.

Elanya start to drink, heavily, to the point of intoxication.

She arm wrestle Belnan who barely on the first round, only to destroy her the second round.

Clancy decided that his turn to shine was now. He challenge Belnan to an A-a-a-arm Wrestle. Secretly casting Enhance Ability on himself. Rolled a 20, versus Belnan’s 18, while raging.

This got Clancy so popular that he got laid with three gals who lead him inside the mansion we are having the party the next day. Lucky for us, he get his fun and he can provide us with a map of the location beforehand.

Meanwhile, Aries cheer up the barbarian after he lost to our halfling.

Claiming Clancy is strong, but his talents lies in technique, while Belnan’s strength is raw power.

Aries then spent the rest of the night, taking care of Elanya who just went from bar to bar, drinking and drinking.

Only for Darhmos to arrived and ruin the night.

He spoke of his goal further, trying to prove he wasn’t doing this only for himself, but to help bring back an entire species who was wipe out thanks to the empress of the Imperi Libre.

While Aries agrees that destroying an entire species is wrong, the means taken to bring them all back is against nature and will create chaos.

Elanya might consider Darhmos proposal, since she lost her twin brother at childbirth and has since been haunting by his annoying presence.

Aries doesn’t claim she has all the answers, since she spent 27 years in a dimension where everything is fun and joyful. But she stands strong with her beliefs.

Ultimately, Darhmos and Aries don’t see eye to eye. He wants to bring back his wife by any means necessary, while Aries, being a druid can’t condemn his actions (especially since last she heard, it meant killing Brood Child).

To end the session, Elanya and Aries slept together after all this emotional talk.

English Translation:

SHALOK:

The Merciful Lord is the Savior of the Saints; their only support is to sing the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises. One becomes immaculate and pure, by associating with the Saints, O Nanak, and taking the Protection of the Transcendent Lord.  || 1 ||   The burning of the heart is not dispelled at all, by sandalwood paste, the moon, or the cold season. It only becomes cool, O Nanak, by chanting the Name of the Lord.  || 2 ||   PAUREE:  Through the Protection and Support of the Lord’s lotus feet, all beings are saved. Hearing of the Glory of the Lord of the Universe, the mind becomes fearless. Nothing at all is lacking, when one gathers the wealth of the Naam. The Society of the Saints is obtained, by very good deeds. Twenty-four hours a day, meditate on the Lord, and listen continually to the Lord’s Praises.  || 17 ||

RAAG SOOHEE, THIRD MEHL, FIRST HOUSE, ASHTAPADEES: ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD.  BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU: Everything comes from the Naam, the Name of the Lord; without the True Guru, the Naam is not experienced. The Word of the Guru’s Shabad is the sweetest and most sublime essence, but without tasting it, its flavor cannot be experienced. He wastes this human life in exchange for a mere shell; he does not understand his own self. The Gurmukh contemplates the Word of the Shabad. Body and soul are totally rejuvenated through the Guru; the Gurmukh’s affairs are resolved in his favor. The blind self-willed manmukh acts blindly, and earns only poison in this world. Enticed by Maya, he suffers in constant pain, without the most Beloved Guru.  || 2 || Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 12th July He alone is a selfless servant, who serves the True Guru, and walks in harmony with the True Guru’s Will. The True Shabad, the Word of God, is the True Praise of God; enshrine the True Lord within your mind. The Gurmukh speaks the True Word of Gurbani, and egotism departs from within. He Himself is the Giver, and True are His actions. He proclaims the True Word of the Shabad.  || 3 || Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 12th July The Gurmukh works, and the Gurmukh earns; the Gurmukh inspires others to chant the Naam. He is forever unattached, imbued with the Love of the True Lord, intuitively in harmony with the Guru. The self-willed manmukh always tells lies; he plants the seeds of poison, and eats only poison. He is bound and gagged by the Messenger of Death, and burnt in the fire of desire; who can save him, except the Guru?  || 4 || Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 12th July True is that place of pilgrimage, where one bathes in the pool of Truth, and achieves self-realization as Gurmukh. The Gurmukh understands his own self. The Lord has shown that the Word of the Guru’s Shabad is the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage; bathing in it, filth is washed away. True and Immaculate is the True Word of His Shabad; no filth touches or clings to Him. True Praise, True Devotional Praise, is obtained from the Perfect Guru.  || 5 || Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 12th July Body, mind, everything belongs to the Lord; but the evil-minded ones cannot even say this. If such is the Hukam of the Lord’s Command, then one becomes pure and spotless, and the ego is taken away from within. I have intuitively tasted the Guru’s Teachings, and the fire of my desire has been quenched. Attuned to the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, one is naturally intoxicated, merging imperceptibly into the Lord.   || 6 || Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 12th July The Name of the Lord is known as True, through the Love of the Beloved Guru. True Glorious Greatness is obtained from the Guru, through the Beloved True Name. The One True Lord is permeating and pervading among all; how rare is the one who contemplates this. The Lord Himself unites us in Union, and forgives us; He embellishes us with true devotional worship.  || 7 || Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 12th July All is Truth; Truth, and Truth alone is pervading; how rare is the Gurmukh who knows this. Birth and death occur by the Hukam of His Command; the Gurmukh understands his own self. He meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and so pleases the True Guru. He receives whatever rewards he desires. ⇒Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji History⇐ ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਘਰੁ ੨ ਅਸਟਪਦੀਆ DHANAASAREE, FIRST MEHL, SECOND HOUSE, ASHTAPADEES: धनासरी महला १ घर २ अष्टपदिआं ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU: ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਰਤਨੀ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥ The Guru is the ocean, filled with pearls. गुर सागरु रतनी भरपूरे ॥ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸੰਤ ਚੁਗਹਿ ਨਹੀ ਦੂਰੇ॥ The Saints gather in the Ambrosial Nectar; they do not go far away from there. अमृत संत चुगहि नहीं दूरे ॥ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚੋ��� ਚੁਗਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ॥ They taste the subtle essence of the Lord; they are loved by God. ਸਰਵਰ ਮਹਿ ਹੰਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ Within this pool, the swans find their Lord, the Lord of their souls. || 1 || सर्वर महि हंसु प्राणपति पावे ॥ १ ॥ ਕਿਆ ਬਗੁ ਬਪੁੜਾ ਛਪੜੀ ਨਾਇ ॥ What can the poor crane accomplish by bathing in the mud puddle? किया बगु बपुड़ा शपड़ी नाए ॥ ਕੀਚੜਿ ਡੂਬੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ ॥ It sinks into the mire, and its filth is not washed away. || 1 || Pause || किचड़ि डूबे मैल न जाई ॥१ ॥ रहाऊं ॥ ਰਖਿ ਰਖਿ ਚਰਨ ਧਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥ After careful deliberation, the thoughtful person takes a step. रखि रखि चरण धरे विचारी ॥ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਛੋਡਿ ਭਏ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀ॥ Forsaking duality, he becomes a devotee of the Formless Lord. दुबिदा छोड़ भए निरंकारी ॥ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸ ਚਾਖੇ॥ He obtains the treasure of liberation, and enjoys the sublime essence of the Lord. मुकति पदार्थ हरि रस चाखे ॥ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ॥੨॥ His comings and goings end, and the Guru protects him. || 2 || आवन जान रहे गुरि राखे ॥२ ॥ ਸਰਵਰ ਹੰਸਾ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ The swan do not leave this pool. सरवर हंसा छोड़ि न जाई ॥ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ In loving devotional worship, they merge in the Celestial Lord. प्रेम भगति करि सहजि समाई ॥ ��ਰਵਰ ਮਹਿ ਹੰਸੁ ਹੰਸ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ॥ The swans are in the pool, and the pool is in the swans. सरवर महि हंसु हंसु महि सागर ॥ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਆਦਰੁ ॥੩॥ They speak the Unspoken Speech, and they honor and revere the Guru’s Word. || 3 || आकथ कथा गुर बचनी आदर ॥३ ॥ ਸੁੰਨ ਮੰਡਲ ਇਕੁ ਜੋਗੀ ਬੈਸੇ ॥ The Yogi, the Primal Lord, sits within the celestial sphere of deepest Samaadhi. सुन मंडल इक जोगी बैसे ॥ ਨਾਰਿ ਨ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਕਹਹੁ ਕੋਊ ਕੈਸੇ ॥ He is not male, and He is not female; how can anyone describe Him? नारि न पुरखु कहहु कोउ कैसे ॥ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਜੋਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥ The three worlds continue to center their attention on His Light. तिरभवण जोति रहे लिव लाई ॥ ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਨਾਥ ਸਚੇ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੪॥ The silent sages and the Yogic masters seek the Sanctuary of the True Lord. || 4 || सुरि नर नाथ सचे सरणाई ॥४ ॥ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੂਲੁ ਅਨਾਥ ਅਧਾਰੀ ॥ The Lord is the source of bliss, the support of the helpless. आंनद मूल अनाथ अधारी ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥ The Gurmukhs worship and contemplate the Celestial Lord. गुरमुखि भगति सहजि बिचारी ॥ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ ਭੈ ਕਾਟਣਹਾਰੇ ॥ God is the Lover of His devotees, the Destroyer of fear. भगति वछल भे काटणहारे ॥ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਗੁ ਧਾਰੇ ॥੫॥ Subduing ego, one meets the Lord, and places his feet on the Path. || 5 || Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 10th July हउमै मारि मिले पगु धारे ॥५ ॥ ਅਨਿਕ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਿ ਕਾਲੁ ਸੰਤਾਏ ॥ He makes many efforts, but still, the Messenger of Death tortures him. अनिक जतन करि कालु संताए ॥ ਮਰਣੁ ਲਿਖਾਇ ਮੰਡਲ ਮਹਿ ਆਏ ॥ Destined only to die, he comes into the world. मरणु लिखाए मंडल महि आए ॥ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਖੋਵੈ ॥ He wastes this precious human life through duality. पदार्थु दुबिदा खोवे ॥ ਆਪੁ ਨ ਚੀਨਸਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਰੋਵੈ ॥੬॥ He does not know his own self, and trapped by doubts, he cries out in pain. || 6 || आपु न चिनसि भृमि भृमि रोवै ॥६ ॥ ਕਹਤਉ ਪੜਤਉ ਸੁਣਤਉ ਏਕ ॥ Speak, read and hear of the One Lord. केहतेउ पढतेओ सुनतेओ एक ॥ ਧੀਰਜ ਧਰਮੁ ਧਰਣੀਧਰ ਟੇਕ ॥ The Support of the earth shall bless you with courage, righteousness and protection. धीरज धर्म धरणीधर टेक ॥ ਜਤੁ ਸਤੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਏ ॥ Chastity, purity and self-restraint are infused into the heart, जतु सतु संजमु रिदै समाए ॥ ਚਉਥੇ ਪਦ ਕਉ ਜੇ ਮਨੁ ਪਤੀਆਏ ॥੭॥ when one centers his mind in the fourth state. || 7 || Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 10th July चौथे पद कोउ जे मनु पतिआए ॥७ ॥ ਸਾਚੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ॥ They are immaculate and true, and filth does not stick to them. साचे निर्मल मैल न लागै ॥ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਭਰਮ ਭਉ ਭਾਗੈ ॥ Through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, their doubt and fear depart. गुर के शबदि भरम भओ भागे ॥ ਸੂਰਤਿ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਆਦਿ ਅਨੂਪੁ ॥ The form and personality of the Primal Lord are incomparably beautiful. सूरति मूर्ति आदि अनूप ॥ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਸਰੂਪੁ ॥੮॥੧॥ Nanak begs for the Lord, the Embodiment of Truth. || 8 || 1 || नानक जाचे साच सरुप ॥८ ॥१ ॥ Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 10th July ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ, ੨੬ ਹਾੜ (ਸੰਮਤ ੫੫੧ ਨਾਨਕਸ਼ਾਹੀ) (ਅੰਗ: ੬੮੫)

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਘਰੁ ੨ ਅਸਟਪਦੀਆ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਾਨੋ ਇਕ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਤਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਕਾ-ਨਕ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸਿੱਖ ਉਸ ਸਾਗਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੰਸ ਮੋਤੀ ਚੁਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸੰਤ-ਹੰਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਰਸ ਦੀ ਚੋਗ ਚੁਗਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ) ਹੰਸ ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧। ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਬਗਲਾ ਛਪੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਹਦੇ ਲਈ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕੁੱਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੱਟਦਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਛਪੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਨ@ਾ ਕੇ ਚਿੱਕੜ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਮੈਲ਼ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ। (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਆਦਿਕ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਭਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਛਪੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਨ@ਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਥੋਂ ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਮਾਇਆ-ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਸਹੇੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ)।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 10th July ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ ਬੜਾ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਨ-ਸਫ਼ਰ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਆਸਰੇ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਚੱਖ ਕੇ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ ਉਹ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਦਿਵਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਏ ।੨। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੰਸ ਮਾਨਸਰੋਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਅਡੋਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ-ਹੰਸ, ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਰੋਵਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 10th July ਉਸ ਸਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਕਥਾ ਅਕੱਥ ਹੈ ਭਾਵ, ਇਸ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਆਦਰ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਬੰਦਾ ਅਫੁਰ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਮਰਦ ਵਾਲੀ ਤਮੀਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ। ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਾਮ ਚੇਸ਼ਟਾ ਜੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦੀ। ਦੱਸੋ, ਕੋਈ ਇਹ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਕਰ ਭੀ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਭਵਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਨਾਥ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਭ ਜਿਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਲਈ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ।੪। Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 10th July ਗੁਰਮੁਖ-ਹੰਸ ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਾਗਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਿਆਸਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਅਡੋਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਆਨੰਦ-ਮੂਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦੇ ਹਨ ।੫। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਬਗੁਲੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਛਪੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ, ਉਹ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕ ਭਟਕ ਕੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਆਸਰੇ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਹੇੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਧੁਰੋਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਲਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਤੇ ਇਥੇ ਭੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਹੀ ਵਿਹਾਝਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ।੬। Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 10th July ਪਰ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੀ ਨਿੱਤ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਟੇਕ ਫੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਗ੍ਰਹਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਗਿਝਾ ਲਏ ਜਿਥੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਗੁਣ ਜੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਸੁਤੇ ਹੀ ਜਤ,ਸਤ ਤੇ ਸੰਜਮ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੭। ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੰਬੜਦੀ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਡਰ-ਸਹਮ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਨਕ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਸਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਸੂਰਤ ਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਵਜੂਦ ਆਦਿ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਚਲਿਆ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।੮।੧।

The Gurmukhs worship and contemplate the Celestial Lord. God is the Lover of His devotees, the Destroyer of fear. Subduing ego, one meets the Lord, and places his feet on the Path.  || 5 ||   He makes many efforts, but still, the Messenger of Death tortures him. Destined only to die, he comes into the world. He wastes this precious human life through duality. English Translation:

SORAT’H, FIFTH MEHL:

He did not take my accounts into account; such is His forgiving nature. He gave me His hand, and saved me and made me His own; forever and ever, I enjoy His Love.  || 1 ||   The True Lord and Master is forever merciful and forgiving. My Perfect Guru has bound me to Him, and now, I am in absolute ecstasy.  ||  Pause  ||   The One who fashioned the body and placed the soul within, who gives you clothing and nourishment — He Himself preserves the honor of His slaves. ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧॥ ਜੀਉ ਤਪਤੁ ਹੈ ਬਾਰੋ ਬਾਰ ॥ ਤਪਿ ਤਪਿ ਖਪੈ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਬੇਕਾਰ ॥ ਜੈ ਤਨਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਸਰਿ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਜਿਉ ਪਕਾ ਰੋਗੀ ਵਿਲਲਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਬੋਲਣੁ ਝਖਣੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ ਵਿਣੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਸਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਖੀ ਨਾਕੁ ॥ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਿਹਵਾ ਦਿਤੀ ਬੋਲੇ ਤਾਤੁ ॥ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਅਗਨੀ ਪਾਇ ॥ ਵਾਜੈ ਪਵਣੁ ਆਖੈ ਸਭ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥ ਜੇਤਾ ਮੋਹੁ ਪਰੀਤਿ ਸੁਆਦ ॥ ਸਭਾ ਕਾਲਖ ਦਾਗਾ ਦਾਗ ॥ ਦਾਗ ਦੋਸ ਮੁਹਿ ਚਲਿਆ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਦਰਗਹ ਬੈਸਣ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥ ਕਰਮਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਆਖਣੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਉ ॥ ਜਿਤੁ ਲਗਿ ਤਰਣਾ ਹੋਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਥਾਉ ॥ ਜੇ ਕੋ ਡੂਬੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸਾਰ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਰਬ ਦਾਤਾਰ ॥੪॥੩॥੫॥ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ, ੨੫ ਹਾੜ (ਸੰਮਤ ੫੫੨ ਨਾਨਕਸ਼ਾਹੀ) ੮ ਜੁਲਾਈ, ੨੦੨੦ (ਅੰਗ: ੬੬੧) ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ: ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧॥ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਜਿੰਦ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਵ, ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਇਉਂ ਵਿਲਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ।੧। ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਹੇੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਗਿਲੇ ਕਰੀ ਜਾਣੇ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਬੋਲ-ਬੁਲਾਰਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਗਿਲੇ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਕੰਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਨੱਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ; ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਜੀਭ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜੋ ਛੇਤੀ ਛੇਤੀ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ; ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਿੱਘ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਜਿੰਦ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ; ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਆਸ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਤੁਰ ਫਿਰ ਕੇ ਬੋਲ ਚਾਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।੨। ਜਿਤਨਾ ਭੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਹੈ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹੈ ਰਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਲਖ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਗ਼ ਹੀ ਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਸੁੰਞਾ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਗ਼ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਇਥੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੈਠਣ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ।੩। ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਭੀ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ ? ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਨਿਰਾਸਤਾ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬਦਾ ਭੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਤਨਾ ਦਿਆਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ��ੰਭਾਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਰਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦਾ।੪।੩।੫।

English Translation:

DHANAASAREE, FIRST MEHL:

My soul burns, over and over again. Burning and burning, it is ruined, and it falls into evil. That body, which forgets the Word of the Guru’s Bani, cries out in pain, like a chronic patient.  || 1 ||   To speak too much and babble is useless. Even without our speaking, He knows everything.  || 1 ||  Pause  ||   He created our ears, eyes and nose. He gave us our tongue to speak so fluently. He preserved the mind in the fire of the womb; at His Command, the wind blows everywhere.|| 2 || These worldly attachments, loves and pleasurable tastes, all are just black stains. One who departs, with these black stains of sin on his face shall find no place to sit in the Court of the Lord.  || 3 ||   By Your Grace, we chant Your Name. Becoming attached to it, one is saved; there is no other way. Even if one is drowning, still, he may be saved. O Nanak, the True Lord is the Giver of all.  || 4 || 3 || 5 ||

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ: ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮ: ੩ ॥ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੇਵਲ ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣੇ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਣ-ਪੁਣਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਏ, ਨੌ ਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਅਠਾਰਹ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਫਿਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਮਝੋ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪੂਰੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲੇ ਉਹ ਚਹੁਆਂ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਵ, ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧। ਜਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਭੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ; ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਤੇ ਹੋਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਗਵਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਸੰਤੋਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੰਤੋਖੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਫਿਰ aਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਕਬੂਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।੨। ਜੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ। ਜੋ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜ਼ੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਾਂ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਰੀ-ਜਸ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉੱਕਰ ਲਵਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਕਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੱਟ ਦਿਆਂ। ਉਹ ਸਰੀਰ-ਥਾਂ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ, ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਪੈਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਭਾਵ, ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।੧੯।

English Translation:

SHALOK, THIRD MEHL:

One who knows God, and who lovingly focuses his attention on the One Word of the Shabad, keeps his spirituality intact. The nine treasures and the eighteen spiritual powers of the Siddhas follow him, who keeps the Lord enshrined in his heart. Without the True Guru, the Name is not found; understand this, and reflect upon it. O Nanak, through perfect good destiny, one meets the True Guru, and finds peace, throughout the four ages.  || 1 ||   THIRD MEHL:  Whether he is young or old, the self-willed manmukh cannot escape hunger and thirst. The Gurmukhs are imbued with the Word of the Shabad; they are at peace, having lost their self-conceit. They are satisfied and satiated within; they never feel hungry again. O Nanak, whatever the Gurmukhs do is acceptable; they remain lovingly absorbed in the Naam, the Name of the Lord.  || 2 ||   PAUREE:  I am a sacrifice to those Sikhs who are Gurmukhs. I behold the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of those who meditate on the Lord’s Name. Listening to the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises, I contemplate His virtues; I write His Praises on the fabric of my mind. I praise the Lord’s Name with love, and eradicate all my sins. Blessed, blessed and beauteous is that body and place, where my Guru places His feet.  || 19 ||

There is none as forlorn as I am, and none as Compassionate as You; what need is there to test us now? ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ: ਰਾਗੁ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਘਰੁ ੧ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਮਰਨ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਜੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਚਿਖਾ ਵਿਚ ਸਾੜਿਆ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸੁਆਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਕਬਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੀੜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਲ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੱਚੇ ਘੜੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਘੜਾ ਗਲ ਕੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਸੁਆਸ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਭੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਸੋ, ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਇਤਨਾ ਕੁ ਹੀ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੱਚੇ ਘੜੇ ਦਾ।੧। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਗੱਲੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਫਰਿਆ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਭੁਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਵਿਚ ਦਸ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਉਲਟਾ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੈਂ ? ਰਹਾਉ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਖੀ ਫੁਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਜੋੜ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਸਰਫ਼ੇ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਧਨ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਪਰ ਆਖ਼ਰ ਉਹ ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਮੌਤ ਆਈ, ਤਾਂ ਸਭ ਇਹੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ – ਲੈ ਚੱਲੋ, ਲੈ ਚੱਲੋ, ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਬੀਤ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹੈ, ਬਹੁਤਾ ਚਿਰ ਘਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ।੨। ਘਰ ਦੀ ਬਾਹਰਲੀ ਦਲੀਜ਼ ਤਕ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਉਸ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਗਾਂਹ ਸੱਜਣ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਸਾਣਾਂ ਤਕ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਵ-ਆਤਮਾ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੩। ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਸੁਣ, ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਨੇ ਘੇਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਭਾਵ, ਮੌਤ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਭਣਾ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੋਤਾ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਲਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਬੋੜ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਨੋਟ-ਨਲਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਬੜਨਾ ਤੋਤੇ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਬੜੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।੪।੨। ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ:-ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਕੂੜਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਭੀ ਸਾਥ ਸਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਭਦਾ। ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਸਗੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਨਲਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਬੜ ਕੇ ਤੋਤਾ ਬਿਗਾਨੀ ਕੈਦ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

English Translation:

RAAG SORAT’H, THE WORD OF DEVOTEE KABEER JEE, FIRST HOUSE:

ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD.  BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

When the body is burnt, it turns to ashes; if it is not cremated, then it is eaten by armies of worms. The unbaked clay pitcher dissolves, when water is poured into it; this is also the nature of the body.  || 1 ||   Why, O Siblings of Destiny, do you strut around, all puffed up with pride? Have you forgotten those days, when you were hanging, face down, for ten months?  || 1 ||  Pause  ||   Like the bee which collects honey, the fool eagerly gathers and collects wealth. At the time of death, they shout, “Take him away, take him away! Why leave a ghost lying around?”  || 2 ||   His wife accompanies his to the threshold, and his friends and companions beyond. All the people and relatives go as far as the cremation grounds, and then, the soul-swan goes on alone.  || 3 ||   Says Kabeer, listen, O mortal being: you have been seized by Death, and you have fallen into the deep, dark pit. You have entangled yourself in the false wealth of Maya, like the parrot caught in the trap.  || 4 || 2 ||

ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮ; ੩ ॥ ਪਰਥਾਇ ਸਾਖੀ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਸਾਝੀ ਸਗਲ ਜਹਾਨੈ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਭਉ ਕਰੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਜੀਵਤੁ ਮਰੈ ਤਾ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨੈ ॥ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਕਿਆ ਕਥਹਿ ਗਿਆਨੈ ॥੧॥ ਮ; ੩ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਨ ਲਾਇਓ ਅੰਤਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਹੁਤਾ ਆਇ ॥ ਅੰਦਰਹੁ ਬਾਹਰਹੁ ਅੰਧਿਆਂ ਸੁਧਿ ਨ ਕਾਈ ਪਾਇ ॥ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਬਰਕਤੀ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਖਾਇ ਜੋ ਰਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇ ॥ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਲਾਹਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਰਹੇ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਨਾ ਧਨੁ ਪਲੈ ਪਾਇ ॥ ਪੜਿ ਥਕੇ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਨ ਆਇਓ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਲਤ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥ ਕੂਕ ਪੂਕਾਰ ਨ ਚੁਕਈ ਨਾ ਸੰਸਾ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਹੂਣਿਆ ਮੁਹਿ ਕਾਲੈ ਉਠਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥ ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣ ਮੇਲਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਪੰਥੁ ਦਸਾਈ ॥ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਦਸੇ ਮਿਤੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਝੀ ਤਿਨ ਸਿਉ ਕਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਨਿਤ ਸੇਵਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈ ॥ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਈ ॥੧੨॥ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ, ੧੯ ਹਾੜ (ਸੰਮਤ ੫੫੨ ਨਾਨਕਸ਼ਾਹੀ) ੨ ਜੁਲਾਈ, ੨੦੨੦ (ਅੰਗ: ੬੪੭) ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ: ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮ; ੩ ॥ ਮਹਾਂ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ (ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ) ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਲਈ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਸੁਣ ਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਡਰ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰਨ) ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ���ਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿਚ ਪਤੀਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਬਾਹਰ ਭਟਕਣੋਂ ਹਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ।ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਤੀਜਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ।੧। ਹੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਹਰੀ ਵਿਚ) ਮਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋੜਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ਼ਰ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ । (ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ! ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ (ਫਸੇ ਰਿਹਾਂ) ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ (ਆਤਮਿਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਧਦਾ-ਫੁਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ) ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ; ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਥੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ (ਉਮਰ) ਸੜਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਦੀ ਹੈ; ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਲਾ-ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਮੁੱਕਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਾਲੇ-ਮੂੰਹ ਹੀ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ) ਉੱਠ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨। ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਮਿਲਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਰਾਹ ਪੁੱਛਾਂ । ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ (ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ) ਦੱਸੇ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਿਆਲੀ ਪਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਾਂ । ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹਰੀ ਸਿਮਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਲਵਾਂ । ਮੈਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ) ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ।੧੨।

English Translation:

SHALOK, THIRD MEHL:

Great men speak the teachings by relating them to individual situations, but the whole world shares in them. One who becomes Gurmukh knows the Fear of God, and realizes his own self. If, by Guru’s Grace, one remains dead while yet alive, the mind becomes content in itself. Those who have no faith in their own minds, O Nanak — how can they speak of spiritual wisdom?  || 1 ||   THIRD MEHL:  Those who do not focus their consciousness on the Lord, as Gurmukh, suffer pain and grief in the end. They are blind, inwardly and outwardly, and they do not understand anything. O Pandit, O religious scholar, the whole world is fed for the sake of those who are attuned to the Lord’s Name. Those who praise the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, remain blended with the Lord. O Pandit, O religious scholar, no one is satisfied, and no one finds true wealth through the love of duality. They have grown weary of reading scriptures, but still, they do not find contentment, and they pass their lives burning, night and day. Their cries and complaints never end, and doubt does not depart from within them. O Nanak, without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, they rise up and depart with blackened faces.  || 2 ||   PAUREE:  O Beloved, lead me to meet my True Friend; meeting with Him, I shall ask Him to show me the Path. I am a sacrifice to that Friend, who shows it to me. I share His Virtues with Him, and meditate on the Lord’s Name. I serve my Beloved Lord forever; serving the Lord, I have found peace. I am a sacrifice to the True Guru, who has imparted this understanding to me.  || 12 ||

ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮ; ੩ ॥

ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਧੇ ਦੁਖ ਸਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ, ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਤੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਦਾ, ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ-ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਲਏ ਤਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥੧॥ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਹ ਥਾਂ ਨਾਂਹ ਥਿੱਤਾ; ਉਹ ਵਿਭ-ਚਾਰਨ ਛੁੱਟੜ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਘਰ ਘਰ ਬਦਨਾਮ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥੨॥ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਂਵਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਮ ਛੱਡ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਸਨਮਾਨੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ; ਪਰ ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਭਰਮ ਤੇ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂ॥੭॥

English Translation:

SHALOK THIRD MEHL:

Those who turn their faces away from the True Guru, suffer in sorrow and bondage. Again and again, they are born only to die; they cannot meet their Lord. The disease of doubt does not depart, and they find only pain and more pain. O Nanak, if the Gracious Lord forgives, then one is united in Union with the Word of the Shabad. || 1 || THIRD MEHL: Those who turn their faces away from the True Guru, shall find no place of rest or shelter. They wander around from door to door, like a woman forsaken, with a bad character and a bad reputation. O Nanak, the Gurmukhs are forgiven, and united in Union with the True Guru. || 2 || PAUREE: Those who serve the True Lord, the Destroyer of ego, cross over the terrifying world-ocean. Those who chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, are passed over by the Messenger of Death. Those who meditate on the Lord, go to His Court in robes of honor. They alone serve You, O Lord, whom You bless with Grace. I sing continually Your Glorious Praises, O Beloved; as Gurmukh, my doubts and fears have been dispelled. || 7 ||

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ: ਰਾਗੁ ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕੀ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ । ਸਦਾ ਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ । ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਜੀਵ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਡੁੱਬਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। ਵਹੁਟੀ, ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਸਰੀਰ, ਘਰ, ਦੌਲਤ—ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਾਪਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੌਤ-ਰੂਪ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਖ਼ੀਰਲਾ ਸਮਾ ਆਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਇਗਾ ।੧। ਅਜਾਮਲ, ਗਜ, ਗਨਿਕਾ—ਇਹ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਭੀ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ ।੨। (ਹੇ ਸੱਜਣ!) ਤੂੰ ਸੂਰ, ਕੁੱਤੇ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ (ਹੁਣ) ਸ਼ਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਈ (ਤੂੰ ਅਜੇ ਭੀ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ) । ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਉਂ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ) ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਖਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ? ।੩। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਮਨਾਹੀ ਹੈ—ਇਹ ਵਹਿਮ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ, ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ । ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਕਬੀਰ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ (ਸਾਥੀ) ਬਣਾ ।੪।੫। ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ :—ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰੋ—ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਦਾ ਸਾਥੀ, ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਬੜੇ ਬੜੇ ਵਿਕਾਰੀ ਭੀ ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਕਰਮ-ਕਾਂਡ ਦੇ ਭੁਲੇਖਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਪਵੋ ।

English Translation:

RAAG DHANAASAREE, THE WORD OF DEVOTEE KABEER JEE:

ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD.  BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

Remember the Lord, remember the Lord, remember the Lord in meditation, O Siblings of Destiny. Without remembering the Lord’s Name in meditation, a great many are drowned.  || 1 ||  Pause  ||   Your spouse, children, body, house and possessions — you think these will give you peace. But none of these shall be yours, when the time of death comes.  || 1 ||   Ajaamal, the elephant, and the prostitute committed many sins, but still, they crossed over the world-ocean, by chanting the Lord’s Name.  || 2 ||   You have wandered in reincarnation, as pigs and dogs — did you feel no shame? Forsaking the Ambrosial Name of the Lord, why do you eat poison?  || 3 ||   Abandon your doubts about do’s and dont’s, and take to the Lord’s Name. By Guru’s Grace, O servant Kabeer, love the Lord.  || 4 || 5 ||

ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮ; ੩ ॥ ਸੇਖਾ ਚਉਚਕਿਆ ਚਉਵਾਇਆ ਏਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਇਕਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਆਣਿ ॥ ਏਹੜ ਤੇਹੜ ਛਡਿ ਤੂ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਪਛਾਣੁ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਅਗੈ ਢਹਿ ਪਉ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਾਣੁ ॥ ਆਸਾ ਮਨਸਾ ਜਲਾਇ ਤੂ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੁ ਮਿਹਮਾਣੁ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਭੀ ਚਲਹਿ ਤਾ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਾਣੁ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਨੀ ਤਿਨ ਧਿਗੁ ਪੈਨਣੁ ਧਿਗੁ ਖਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਮ; ੩ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਵਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਮਹਿ ਰਹੈ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥ ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਚੋਲੀ ਦੇਹ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਕਢਿ ਪੈਧੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਟੁ ਲਗਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਈ ਬਹੁ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕਰਿ ॥ ਕੋਈ ਬੂਝੈ ਬੂਝਣਹਾਰਾ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਿਬੇਕੁ ਕਰਿ ॥ ਸੋ ਬੂਝੈ ਏਹੁ ਬਿਬੇਕੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਬੁਝਾਏ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ॥ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਕਹੈ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿ ਹਰਿ ॥੧੧॥ ਸ਼ਨਿਚਰਵਾਰ, ੧੪ ਹਾੜ (ਸੰਮਤ ੫੫੨ ਨਾਨਕਸ਼ਾਹੀ) ੨੭ ਜੂਨ, ੨੦੨੦     (ਅੰਗ: ੬੪੬) ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ: ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮ; ੩ ॥ ਹੇ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਚੁਕਾਏ ਸ਼ੇਖ਼! ਇਸ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਤੇ ਲਿਆ; ਵਿੰਗੀਆਂ ਟੇਢੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ । ਹੇ ਸ਼ੇਖਾ! ਜੋ (ਸਭ ਦਾ) ਜਾਣੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗ; ਆਸਾਂ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਾਹੁਣਾ ਸਮਝ; ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਚਲੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਦਰ ਪਾਵੇਂਗਾ ।ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਚੰਗਾ) ਖਾਣਾ ਤੇ (ਚੰਗਾ) ਪਹਿਨਣਾ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ ।੧।ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਹ ਗੁਣ ਮੁੱਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਹਾਝਣ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਲ ਕੀਹ ਹੈ; (ਪਰ,) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਜੀਊੜੇ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ । (ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨। (ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ) ਸਰੀਰ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਚੋਲੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਭਗਤੀ (-ਰੂਪ ਕਸੀਦਾ) ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਚੋਲੀ ਪਹਿਨਣ-ਜੋਗ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ । (ਇਸ ਚੋਲੀ ਨੂੰ) ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਈ ਵੰਨਗੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਪੱਟ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ; (ਇਸ ਭੇਤ ਨੂੰ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਸਮਝਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਆਪ ਸਮਝਾਵੇ । ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ) ।੧੧।

English Translation:

SHALOK, THIRD MEHL:

O Shaykh, you wander in the four directions, blown by the four winds; bring your mind back to the home of the One Lord. Renounce your petty arguments, and realize the Word of the Guru’s Shabad. Bow in humble respect before the True Guru; He is the Knower who knows everything. Burn away your hopes and desires, and live like a guest in this world. If you walk in harmony with the True Guru’s Will, then you shall be honored in the Court of the Lord. O Nanak, those who do not contemplate the Naam, the Name of the Lord — cursed are their clothes, and cursed is their food.  || 1 ||   THIRD MEHL:  There is no end to the Lord’s Glorious Praises; His worth cannot be described. O Nanak, the Gurmukhs chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord; they are absorbed in His Glorious Virtues.  || 2 ||   PAUREE:  The Lord has adorned the coat of the body; He has embroidered it with devotional worship. The Lord has woven His silk into it, in so many ways and fashions. How rare is that man of understanding, who understands, and deliberates within. He alone understands these deliberations, whom the Lord Himself inspires to understand. Poor servant Nanak speaks: the Gurmukhs know the Lord, the Lord is True.  || 11 ||
