I love every season of Symphogear but my least favorite is probably AXZ, I don't know why tho. I mean there's still plenty I love about it like Hibiki tearing a part a tank with her bare hands and the Bavarian Illuminati but it just doesn't get me as hype as the other seasons

Hey! I found you through your Megaman ZX Symphogear crossover idea and I just wanted to toss some ideas at you for other possible biometals for the characters. For instance, I would suggest Kirika and Shirabe have the styles of Prometheus and Pandora respectively. Chris should have model A for the guns and being able to go ballistic. Hibiki has Model X, but Maria has model O until she gets model P similar to her Argetlam. Then the Guardian biometals, most of the element ones with H, L, and F, are brought in for the Autoscorers later.

Your ideas are super-cool!!

Kirika and Shirabe having Prometheus and Pandora's powers and possibly roles is very interesting and could be very fun. Honestly I didn't thought of it because I want Prometheus and Pandora to be active villains in this crossover, but it's a really solid translation.

Giving Chris Model A was something I did consider because as you said, it is the "Guns, guns, and more guns" biometal and there's something really interesting you can do by having Finé play Albert's role. I just thought Model F's "MORE FIRE" strategy fit Chris style a little better than the A-Trans ability, but it's a super-cool idea.

And giving Maria model O is also a very interesting idea specially since she's later a foil to Tsubasa. And Omega Messiah-complex contrasting with her struggle to convince herself that the harm she caused in G was for the great good could make for great character work.

I thought of giving Model P to Kirika because the contrast of her cheerful personality with her having the creepiest looking biomerged form.

And the Guardian Biometals being merged to the Autoscorers is a great use of their elemental aspect, and could be used for interesting parallels between them and the Four Guardians.

SYMPHOGEAR REWATCH PART 2: SEASON 3

Season 3 is i think where my memories of "it just gets better every season" comes from

While season 2 has a first 2 episodes, gets a bit disorganized in the middle and picks it back up by the end, season 3 is just really constantly engaging

The autoscorers are all bangers design wise, and Carol is so far my favorite villain

She feels a bit like Finé to me, a mystical being with a doomsday device and a vendetta. It hits a lot of the same beats as Finé but way better

The fact shes not a twist villain and has a backstory we explore more makes it more compelling

Like the beats play out similar, doomsday device is introduced, some of the girls end up taking a huge risk destroying it, villain is pissed and just says fuck it i can still kill everything, transformation to final forms, and in their last moments of life end up having some sort of change of heart

Overall p good excited for season 4

THE GUNGNIR GIRL - PART 1

"ALL CIVILIANS, PLEASE HEAD TO THE EVACUATION SHELTER. IT IS A CLASS 6 THREAT."

Class 6, which meant Noise. It'd been years since she'd first fought them when she was seventeen. And this was supposed to be her vacation. A groan escaped her as she watched people's cars drive by or people just... running towards where the shelters were supposed to be.

Noise, the machines of humanity.

"Are you fucking serious...?" She'd wanted to avoid this, if possible. Given that the Noise were here, this meant that her own world had the Symphogear system on it. Walking in the opposite direction, she wondered if it had been evacuated for a reason. Or was someone using the Cane of Solomon to summon Noise?

If they were, did that mean she had to deal with Maria again? Taking her pendant off, she stowed it in her pocket as she walked towards where the people were running from. Did this mean that she'd have to deal with it? Were there no Wielders here?

It was clear why the evacuation notice was made, as soon as Melanie came across a scene of a few schoolgirls running from Noise. As she tried to make it to them, one of them ended up falling onto the ground.

And that was when she saw it, flying through the air. A converter pendant. As a car spun out of control nearby, Melanie ran and jumped, reaching out to grab the pendant from the air. Whoever owned it, she'd give it back.

Feeling the familiar song swell in her chest, she let the melody flow out of her like water.

"Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron ...!"

Within a couple seconds, the Symphogear had been easily donned. However, she realized something as she landed in front of the schoolgirls. One was that it was a different make from her own Gear. The second was that it was so godsdamned tight that it was hard to breathe in it, let alone move.

"The fuck? This thing's so tight, it's cutting off circulation. What kind of sadist designs this shit?" She asked, before shaking her head. No, for now she'd have to deal with the Noise ahead. Garie's visage was familiar enough that she remembered when Maria had taken Gungnir and had tried to defeat her, only for the Gear to reject her after a bit of use.

These Noise could dissect this Gear she wore easily. With the Symphogear providing the music, which wasn't of a genre she generally sang in, Melanie took a fighting stance and launched herself forward, to take out the Noise. And the song flowed out from between her lips as she fought.

"What is the purpose that I seek? A thousand layers deep within Am I doomed to learn it's for nothing?

Is it something that I dreamed? Or is it a damned nightmare?

In the end, I want to know what it is.

Can you hear my voice now? Are you reading me clear?

Is this interference what I want?

In the end, I've decided, that this is all I need. (Stand up!) I know now (Stand up!) That it is (Stand up!) Destiny (Stand up!) But know that I will Grasp it with my fist!

Don't stop, don't stop, no matter what it takes. Don't cry, don't cry, you'll be okay! With this chance that I have, I'll fight my desti-"

Garie's barrier stopped her song short, something she'd seen before. Though Garie then decided to break apart the barrier and say something about thanking for the meal, Melanie watched as she started to dart forward on ice.

Within the split second that she had to react, Melanie moved out of the way and kneed Garie in the gut as hard as she could, sending the Autoscorer flying backwards with a follow-up kick. Watching as she tumbled and came to a stop, it was with surprise that Garie left it at that, probably mumbling something about how she couldn't destroy Gungnir yet.

With a sigh, the sound of the Gear powering down filled her ears and the transformation popped off with a shower of magical girl-esque sparks. Catching the pendant before it fell, she turned around and walked over towards the schoolgirls before catching sight of who they were.

The one who had tripped was supposed to be in the hospital, in a coma... and yet, here she was. Was this her gear, then? Holding it out without a word, Melanie had the pendant practically snatched out of her hand.

"That's my Gungnir!" The girl said, holding it close. "This power is supposed to save people! I was the one who got it! It's my Gungnir!"

Power to... save people? Did she not think it worth it to use Gungnir to fight people? What sort of thinking got it to where she couldn't even don the Gear to fight to protect her friends? Herself?

Her name was... Hibiki. And she wasn't even thinking about protecting herself with the Gear. No, she had something wrong with her to think that it was only used to save people.

"I suggest re-evaluating why you have Gungnir in the first place, then." Melanie said. "If I hadn't of stepped in and used it in your place, you and your friends would be dead right now."

"Don't use that sort of talk with Bikky!" One of the girls said. Melanie's attention turned to them. "She's helping people with it!"

"By sacrificing herself to an Autoscorer?" Melanie put a hand on her hip. "What you're doing is stupid, plain and simple. Remember, you can't save anyone if you don't help yourself first. Re-evaluate why you have Gungnir. If you can't take the burden of the gear, I suggest you stop being a wielder and go play pretend elsewhere."

Turning away, Melanie walked off without a word. Though she knew that she was going to be dragged in to S.O.N.G's business here once they knew where she was staying here for vacation since she could use Gungnir, she couldn't understand why anyone would employ someone who didn't even want to use their "power" to save themselves.

It's foolish. When I was in that same situation, the only reason I didn't use it was because I thought we could get away. This girl.... thinks Gungnir is some power to save people when it has the power to protect everyone she cares about? And who the hell made it, anyway?

And, as she made it to the hotel she was staying at, she took a look behind her to see Shinji Ogawa standing there. He had probably followed her the entire way in the car.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but I'm going to have to ask you to come with me." He said. Melanie shrugged, turning to face him and not giving any resistance as she walked to the car with him. She knew what would come next. Interrogation, potentially being held in a cell much like Miyuki had been and then having to explain that she was capable of wielding a Symphogear.

But she couldn't reveal that she had a Gungnir, too, or else they would take it from her. This was... going to really be interesting, wasn't it?

The first half of Shirabe Meshi chapter 30 is finally out after getting delayed due to the flu

It starts on a stormy night with Carol holding what seems to be the direct feedback system that Elfnein modified to dive into memories

"If I use this, then my memories..."

The next day, everyone is talking about the weather the night before, particularly how much lightning there was. Genjuro jokingly asks Hibiki if her belly button got stolen (referencing a bit of folklore where Raijin will steal your belly button if you don't cover it during a storm).

Hibiki says "Master, please, that would never happen these days! It may have happened to people in the past, but if you wear a belly band, it's totally fine! That's what Dad told me!"

Tomosato: (Don't laugh...)

Fujitaka (I actually feel sorry for her...)

But that particular conversation comes to a close when the Autoscorers run in with Carol in tow. "Master started acting all cute!"

Meanwhile, poor Carol is so confused and scared due to being taken to a "strange place" by a bunch of "weirdos"

The Autoscorers discuss Carol's personality change to which Elfnein comments that it's like how she was when she was younger and her father was alive (Carol: "A girl that looks just like me?!")

Hibiki gets sad because she thinks that Carol burned away her memories after all they've been through together but Fujitaka points out they haven't detected energy great enough for that to be the case.

...Then Elfnein notices Micha's hands.

Her claws are uh...fish now. Apparently Carol got scared of them and transmuted them into something less...sharp.

Genjuro suggests getting her to the infirmary, but him being as big as he is, he scares her, so she starts freaking out and turning everything she can into fish.

Shirabe comes in with onigiri and suggesting a break right in time for them to...also get turned to fish.

Shirabe: "My salmon onigiri turned back into salmon..."

Genjuro: "At this rate we'll all be turned to salmon! We have no choice, we have to use force!"

Carol: "NOOO! SOMEONE HELP ME!"

And so Hibiki's need to protect others kicks in.

"You can't be so forceful with a crying child!" and runs off with her.

Carol: "Um, who are you?"

Hibiki: "I'm Hibiki Tachibana, age 17! My birthday is September 13, my blood type is O, my height is 157 cm, and yeah, maybe I'd LIKE to be a bit taller! I'll tell you my weight once we're better friends! My hobby is helping people and my favorite thing is Miku's food! And when it comes to the whole never having a boyfriend thing, I'm updat--"

Shirabe: "Stop! You're screaming some pretty private stuff in a public area."

Shirabe informs Hibiki that Elfnein and the others are going to investigate the cause, but in the meantime they have orders to calm Carol down, so they decide to give her some new fun memories by taking her to an amusement park

Hibiki goes to get some drinks and comes back to Carol and Shirabe sitting on a bench. Hibiki asks if she's tired, and Carol responds that when she was living her with father, she never knew the world outside of that had so many fun things to do and so many good foods to eat.

So Hibiki says she has one last place to take Carol: Her dad's ramen cart.

Carol is amazed that his food looks so good, because her dad always blew up whatever he was cooking

Some tears fall into the broth, and that's...the end of the first half. Second half will be released in a week.

Anime Update V3 7

Vinland Saga S2 - Have seen the episodes covering Ketil’s counterattack against Canute’s forces which did not go too well and left Ketil completely broken and crippled, which is well deserved since his burst of violence against Arnheid led to her death. His two sons are left to grapple with their differing responses to having to face war for the farmlands. Thorfinn really shone here, taking after his father’s example and telling Arnheid about Vinland in her final minutes of living, then going to speak with Canute himself only to confront the limitations of his pacifist approach to conflict resolution yet still finding a way to avoid more senseless violence, taking 100 punches from the army’s strongest man so that he be allowed to speak with the king. And that last scene where Thorfinn and Einar are face to face with Canute…so much tension. Such weight to the drama! Four years (in-universe and for me) building to this. Can Thorfinn avoid violent engagement with the delusional young king?

Hunter x Hunter - As preparations are being made by Gon and his allies to raid the palace when the day of selection arrives, the best intrigue still goes to the ant king himself and how he’s now grappling with a huge contradiction to his sense of identity and purpose due to how much Komugi has rubbed off on him, and how he’s begun to care about her and wants her protected at all costs. And this soft spot is troubling for Pouf, who’s so fanatical about the strength and merciless evil of his king that the thought of him changing course from his agenda of violence and dominance drives him to despair!

SHUFFLE! - Saw the episode that finally gave Asa full character focus that gave us some glimpses into her past and her feelings for Rin that she tries to play off with teasing and provocative humor. The following one was even better since it gave us more Sia as she planned out her perfect date with Rin only for it to turn out more hectic than she’d hoped, with every main character getting to appear at each location Sia and Rin went to, but this ended up working to the date’s advantage and tightened the bond between the two. Sia is just delightful every time she comes along, so this was quite the treat!

The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II - Saw the series premiere, or rather premieres. This one started on an “Episode 0” that throws us into the present day life of Waver Velvet, currently Lord El-Melloi II in the stead of Kayneth’s teenage niece, as he and his supporting cast have to catch a hired hit man mage who’s inflicted Waver with a curse of misfortune that tied his life to that of a dying black cat. The proper first episode that followed went backwards to take us further back still as Waver has to recount his experience at Iskandr’s tomb to his crazy new sister who held him hostage and talked him into taking the El-Melloi mantle, teaching at the mage academy and dealing with the mages of Clocktower. Definitely gonna be an interesting one...

KonoSuba - Saw the one where the party goes to the snow fields and Kazuma gets re-killed by the Winter Shogun, which gives him a chance to respawn into a better life in another world but he decides he’s grown too close to the world he and Aqua went to, and his companions, to be done with it yet…which he regrets upon actually returning’ Just when you think he’s making some progress!

Symphogear XV - CAROL’S BACK!!! I had to start there ‘cause getting to not only see Carol’s doll autoscorer minions again but the return of Carol’s persona from within Elfnein gave me such a thrill, and even better, she’s on the good guys side for this situation! Also noteworthy, Fudou reveals he’d set Noble Red up to be eradicated after completing Shem-Ha’s revival because he’s a monster who wants to attain god-like power to live out his savior fantasy with, and Shem-Ha’s revival allows her to overtake Miku so that she’s now her physical vessel! The credits that followed this was just cruel, making it seem like this could really be it for Miku…

Eureka Seven - Went through the fallout period of what occurred in the previous episodes. The B plot of Dominic visiting Axel Thurston and Axel helping fix up Dominic’s motorbike was my favorite part of the first one, especially with the gruff old man’s kindness making Dominic abandon his plans to exploit him for information on his family, though Talho finally just snapping and telling Renton the truth about Eureka, that she’s a person made from the Coral who was the subject of what Renton’s father was pursuing, was sure something as well. Holland is taking small but sincere steps towards repentance of his old shitbag ways, Talho makes a change of her own (though I found the haircut to be gratuitous and a step down), and Renton continues his growth…and this leaves Eureka in a space where she’s just kind of bland now? Ever since she made her recovery from her ailment she’s lost a lot of the oddball characteristics she had at first and has been defined by her love for Renton and general kindness like with the kids. Given that the show’s got her name in the title, that’s a sad oversight, but not enough to ruin how good things are.

Gintama - The dual stories episode with the snow and ice festival and the crazy old fireworks artist.

Tiki the auto scorer. You kidding me? She in an abusive relationship with a significantly older man who simultaneously treats her as a child and as a girlfriend. Last I checked that's pretty darn close to a child bride. Also, even ignoring this, the show considers her such a child that it doesn't even bother with horrific amounts of pedophilic grauve that the symphogears (and symphogear likes) are subject to. Also mechanism? She and the other autoscorers are sentient beings, and thus also can be subject to inhumane shit just as a normal human would. The normal show doesn't see a reason to call that into question, but the shorts do clarify they are beings with their own will.

As my gf eloquently put it upon seeing an image of tiki: "das a kiddo", ergo a kid in a relationship with an adult (and potentially the one who created her, even worse) is a child bride.

If you haven't checked it out yet, there's something called the CAT-Q, which is a questionnaire for measuring what kind(s) of ways you might camouflage or mask your autism symptoms. this site does some autoscoring for ya so you don't have to do the math Could be helpful to bring to a therapist so they have some more context about who you are and what you struggle with (instead of dealing with open-ended questions if that is counterproductive for you). Or, just to know more about yourself and what it costs for you to navigate the world out there, what you want to keep in your life (e.g., for interactions where you don't want to explaint too much because they're 2 second interactions for something) vs. what you want to communicate to people who are around and should know to let you not mask/camouflage.
