Their parents had been friends for years, and Y/N always had a crush on Brandon, but he was with Ruby. Now, he was single. Not that Y/N would ever assume that Brandon was anything less than straight.

Brandon pounded a wooden stake into the ground and narrowed his eyes at Y/N. "A bite to eat, eh? What like a date?"

"What? No. Not a date. Who said anything about a date? I mean, I certainly didn't." Y/N rambles.

Brandon chuckled. "Too bad it wouldn't be a date. I was actually looking forward to it." He winks.

"Really?"

"Really."

Thinking about Jupiter’s Legacy again, and how it could have been way better than what Netflix delivered. Picture a mini-series following close the plot of the comics, which is a short and interesting plot. The budget they used for that first season could have been enough.

Then we have a movie or another mini-series, that works as a prequel and shows how the “Union of Justice” was formed. Basically, all the flashbacks of the first season, but with more development.

It could have been an interesting project with a satisfying ending. Instead, Netflix tried to copycat The Boys and left us with a mid-show and a cliffhanger. And no answer to what the hell was going on between Walter and George?!!

The loudly shut door was (Y/N)‘s clue that today hadn’t been a great day for their partner.

Brandon entered the living room, looking slightly exhausted, as he spotted (Y/N) on the couch. “Hey.” He said, his voice tired as he watched (Y/N) flicked through Netflix trying to find something to watch.

“Hey,” they replied, sounding lightly concerned. “You okay?”

He walked over - still in his suit - and lowered himself on the couch beside them. They moved over slightly to give him room, reaching up to run their fingers through his hair.

He let out a quiet, relaxed sigh as he felt his partner’s nails against his scalp. “Yeah, just had a long day.”

(Y/N) made a noise of understanding, getting off the couch and moving themself so that they were in his lap. Their arms wrapped around his shoulders as he rested his hands on their waist. “You wanna tell me about it?” They asked him, leaning closer and kissing him softly.

Brandon shook his head, returning the kiss. He knew he would never get tired of this, of them. “No, I’m fine. It doesn’t matter.”

“True.” They said with a barely hidden grin. “This is a lot more important.” They pressed kisses all over his face as he half-heartedly tried to avoid them. But he was beginning to grin as well, looking up at (Y/N) with a playful look in his eye.

“You know I’m a superhero right?” He asked, lifting them up with his super-strength. “I’m trained to fight villains.”

“Oh, I’m a villain now?” They laughed, wrapping their arms around his torso.

“Oh, definitely.” Brandon teased them, leaning down to kiss their grin away. “The worst I’ve ever faced.”

Pursing their lips, they considered it. “True, very true.” They let go of Brandon, who opened his mouth to complain about the separation.

“I’m hungry” was their only explanation.

“So order something.”

“We did that yesterday. And I just went shopping. We’re cooking, come on.”

“Ok, ok.” He replied, letting them pull him into the kitchen. “Only cause I’m a better cook.”

“You are not.” (Y/N)’s voice was indignant. “Take that back!”

He laughed, feeling better now that he was with (Y/N). “Fine.”

Iron Maiden and Z2 Comics Announce Piece of Mind Graphic Novel

The record that features all-timers such as "The Trooper," "Flight of Icarus" and "Revelations" vividly come to life in individual chapters dedicated to each of the nine songs on the historic release. Frontman Bruce Dickinson, an author in his own right, even contributed to the "Revelations" chapter, a particularly special moment as the song was his first official songwriting credit with Iron Maiden.

Iron Maiden and Z2 Comics have announced a graphic novel based on the band’s Piece of Mind album, arriving November 21st. Below you can get an exclusive first look at the special alternate cover featuring Eddie as “The Trooper” and its accompanying collector’s card. The graphic novel celebrates the 40th anniversary of the legendary 1983 album, which contains all-time Maiden classics such as “Where Eagles Dare,” “Die with Your Boots On,” and “The Trooper.” With a solid track record of heavy metal collaborations with Anthrax, King Diamond, and more, Z2 Comics pulled out all the stops for Iron Maiden: Piece of Mind. The book features stories based on each of the album’s songs, including writing from frontman Bruce Dickinson (“Revelations”) along with an introduction penned by longtime Maiden manager Rod Smallwood. “When the idea of a Piece of Mind 40th Anniversary graphic novel first came up, I felt it was the perfect medium to expand outside the confines of the songs and to create new storylines and new dimensions through short form narrative and imagery,” said Dickinson in a press release. “With ‘Revelations,’ it allowed me to add more layers and dimensions to the lyrics and add a new twist.” He continued: “Equally as exciting was bringing together some of the top writers and illustrators in the industry who are all actual fans of the band, to add their own creative ideas inspired by the songs, Eddie, and the album itself. Z2 did a tremendous job in pulling this all together to create more than just a graphic novel, it’s what I consider a work of art.” The novel was edited by Rantz Hoseley. Other writing contributions include Steven Grant (The Punisher), Tony Lee (Doctor Who), Ivan Brandon (24Seven, Viking), Sacha Gervasi, Antony Johnston (Atomic Blonde), Leah Moore and John Reppion (Conspiracy of Ravens), Brian Posehn, Chris Roberson (iZombie), and Alison Sampson (Hit-Girl). Illustrators include Carson Thorn (Batman the Barbarian), Damien Worm (The October Faction), Francesco Dossena (Dylan Dog), Christian Rosado, Staz Johnson (Rogue Trooper), John Pearson (Mindset), Michael Avon Oeming (Powers), and Danijel Žeželj (Luna Park).   “The Trooper” Cutaway Edition of the novel retails for $40 is limited to 666 copies and can be pre-ordered via Rockabilia. Meanwhile, the Asylum Edition runs $300 and includes numerous extras such as art prints, a replica concert ticket, four collector’s cards, and an Eddie asylum model kit (shipped separately). Pre-orders of various formats are available via Z2 Comics.
