CHORBY SOUL V: Replica of Chorby Soul that played for the Georgias during the Season β21 Endseason, but what an Endseason it was! ChorbV's short-lived career on the Georgias was a memorable one, taking us to Cactus Land to find the 8-blood Blagonball and killing five umpires on the way, the most of any single player. Five for five!
JELLY BURGERTOES: Georgias player from Season β22 to Season β23. Never left our Shadows, and quickly got Gachapon'd by the LA Unlimited Tacos, which was a shame because they were one of our best shadow prospects. Currently plays for the Yellowstone Magic, where Jelly is a star hitter that clowned on us repeatedly during the Season 2 postseason. We raised a monster.

Owner, Maite Ysita, moved her family from Mexico to Houston to follow her dream of taking her restaurant’s concept to the next level in this city’s thriving culinary area. Ysita, Hembree and Haug share the same passion for great food, atmosphere, service and attention to detail that are the makings of a great restaurant. “Peska is my baby, and I know the potential it has,” Ysita says. “I am excited about the brand that we’re building paired with such a prime location.” The restaurant will host an energetic atmosphere and sport a new large-U shaped bar with lounge furniture to allow Peska to expand its happy hour business with a dedicated bar menu. Perfect for families, couples, and groups alike, Peska features the same delicious staples like tiraditos, half and half snapper, Nigerian tiger prawn and whole branzino dishes plus friendly service that customers have come to expect. Executive Chef Steve Haug leads the kitchen with eight USDA Prime steaks along with sides like wedge salad, jumbo lump crab cake, and triple cheese lobster mac and cheese. “Peska will set us apart with their superb seafood, “ Haug says. “We’re taking seafood to a new level.” “Our ability to serve high-quality meat and fish dishes will propel the restaurant to new heights.” Prior to joining Grazia Italian Kitchen, Haug has served as executive chef at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse for 10 years. I will be covering a few events this month and have a couple of reviews, and a couple of editorials on the backburner I hope to share with you this month. Being a father, a professor and a foodster is a bit demanding sometimes, and I appreciate all the patience on the part of the media and restaurant folks I work with regarding my workflow. Yes, I am doing a lot better since the surgery last Fall, but I'm still gradually working things out as I go. Regardless, it is always my goal to share great food, the great folks who make it for use and above all will do my best to... Eat Happy, Y'all!!!吃得开心!!!Hank

WELCOME TO THE ATLANTIS GEORGIAS BRACKET: ROUND 1
Tumblr media
I wanted to call it "The Cup of Water," but I wasn't sure if that would be as clear.
Since it's March Madness, and the people of Tumblr have fallen in love with making brackets for pretty much anything, it's time we settle once and for all who the most popular Georgias player is. Sixty-four will enter, but only one can win. (Since there have only ever been sixty-one Georgias players who have seen active play, however, three NPCs have been picked to fill in the remaining slots.)
The bracket was largely seeded based on how I perceived each player's popularity to be within the Georgias' fanbase (with some margin of error), but anyone is allowed to participate in voting! Simply vote for whichever player in each matchup you like more, and winners will proceed to Round 2!
You can find all matchups under the #georgias bracket round 1 tag on our blog, or in the list below:
Rigby Friedrich vs. Poseidon
Niq Nyong'o vs. Goodwin Morin II
Flattery McKinley vs. Nagomi Mcdaniel III
Neerie McCloud vs. Jenkins Ingram
Siobhan Chark vs. Vernon Glump

THE GEORGIAS BRACKET: ROUND 3
Tumblr media
Ahoy, and welcome to Round 3 of the Georgias Bracket! Round 2 was full of close calls, with some polls remaining neck-and-neck to the last minute, but when all was said and done, these are the players that came out on top! We're down to our Sweet 16 now, and this round will determine our quarterfinalists! Don't forget to #Vote!
But first, some statistics from Round 2...
Fish Summer was the player with the greatest margin of victory, with 73% of the vote over Juan Murphy! Juan may be number Juan in our hearts, but xe'll have to settle for thirty-second place in the Georgias bracket.
Rigby Friedrich, conversely, had the most narrow margin of victory, barely eking out a win over Siobhan Chark with 51.7% of the vote.
The poll with the most votes was Nanci Grackle vs. Mint Shupe, with 69 votes total. (Nice.) Conversely, the poll with the fewest votes was Norman Muggins vs. Daisuke Witless, with only 29 votes total.
As always, anyone is allowed to participate in voting, whether or not you're familiar with the Georgias (or even Blaseball in general). Just vote for whichever player you like more in each pair, and winners will progress to the quarterfinals in Round 4! And don't be afraid to do a bit of campaigning for your favorites, if you feel like it.

THE GEORGIAS BRACKET: ROUND 2
Tumblr media
Ahoy, and welcome to Round 2 of the Georgias Bracket! In Round 1, we saw many dramatic sweeps, but with all the nobodies and NPCs being taken out of contention, matchups are only going to get closer from here! If you want to see your favorites win, don't forget to #Vote!
But first, here's some statistics from Round 1!
Congratulations to Niq Nyong'o and Jan Canberra for being the only players to get a clean sweep on their respective polls, with 100% of the votes! Neither of them should get too comfortable, however, as they'll be going up against each other today in a battle of Expansion Era captains! And to Goodwin Morin II and Basil Ball... condolences! Here's your participation award, I guess.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, the closest matchup was Penelope Video vs. Wyatt Mason IV, with Penelope barely eking out a win with only two votes more than Ivy.
The matchup with the most votes was Mint Shupe vs. Lachlan Shelton, with 62 votes!

THE GEORGIAS BRACKET: QUARTERFINALS
Tumblr media
Ahoy, and welcome to the Quarterfinals! It's the beginning of the end! We're down to our eight quarterfinalists, eight players who've won every matchup they've had thus far, whether they've done it handily, or whether they've come on top after a few close calls. But not everyone can be a winner, so get out there and #Vote!
But first, some statistics from Round 3...
Fish Summer once again had the biggest sweep, taking out Mordecai Kingbird with 86.1% of the votes! Will Fish Summer be able to get out the brooms? Or will Flattery McKinley bring Summer's fall?
The narrowest margin of victory goes to Lady Matsuyama, barely beating out Beck Whitney with 51.2% of the votes, as opposed to Whitney's 48.8%.
The poll with the most votes was Rigby Friedrich vs. Nanci Grackle with 47 votes, while the polls with the fewest votes were Frankie Hambone vs. Daisuke Witless and Slosh Truk vs. Randy Dennis, with only 28 each! It seems that all-around, voting turnout is down from last time!
As always, anyone is allowed to participate in voting, whether or not you're familiar with the Georgias (or even Blaseball in general). Just vote for whichever player you like more in each pair, and winners will progress to the Semifinals! And don't be afraid to do a bit of campaigning for your favorites, if you feel like it.

THE GEORGIAS BRACKET: SEMIFINALS
Tumblr media
The time has come to decide our finalists. The winners of these polls will represent their respective half of the bracket, and determine who the Fan-favorite Georgias player is. (or at least, the Fan-favorite as far as the people on Tumblr voting in this bracket are concerned).
Our final four candidates are all Georgias OGs from the Expansion Era, including Rigby Friedrich (one of the league's all-time best performers), Niq Nyong'o (arguably the most important player in our lore), Flattery McKinley (a magnet of misfortune that caused many of our most memorable stories), and Neerie McCloud (who spent so long Elsewhere, her name pretty much became synonymous with it). (More in-depth summaries are on the poll posts themselves.)
If you want to bring your favorite to the very end, then don't forget to #Vote!
But first, some Semifinals Statistics!
Both Rigby Friedrich and Niq Nyong'o dominated their respective polls, getting 77.1% each out of 35 votes, and leaving Randy Dennis and Frankie Hambone in the dust! Will they be able to keep this momentum going all the way to the finals? Or is this their final hurrah before they get taken down by more formidable opponents?
You know who didn't dominate their respective poll? Flattery McKinley, who only narrowly beat out Fish Summer with 51.6% of the vote, officially marking the closest poll of the entire event! This was also the poll with the most votes, getting 64 votes total.
The final four players are, in fact, seeds 1-4, showing I probably did something right with my seeding process.
You can find all matchups under the #georgias bracket semifinals tag on our blog, or in the list below:
Rigby Friedrich vs. Neerie McCloud
Niq Nyong'o vs. Flattery McKinley

Fall Ball Recap #6
Ahoy! This week, something interesting happened during Fall Ball... The Field fell! Before any players, twenty-six new positions showed up, from expected ones like 3rd Base or Shortstop or Right Fielder, to... stranger ones, like Flankers, Cornerfielders, Wallrunners, and 0th Base. Blaseball is back, and is as weird as ever!
It wasn't only positions that fell today, Players fell too, so let's get to discussing them!
New Georgias
Welcome aboard Lady Matsuyama, a former Core Mechanics and Hawai'i Fridays player! With our third former Fridays player in a row, it seems as though the Georgias/Lovers/Fridays triangle is finally being completed...
Lady is most frequently lored as a tall Japanese woman that uses a wheelchair and has a focus on engineering in the fields of art and fashion! She is additionally usually depicted femme lesbian married to Bottles Suljak (who fell to the Millennials this same week)! If you want to discuss Lady with the rest of the Georgias, feel free to meet us in the Georgias Lore Thread of the Official Blaseball Discord server!
Former Georgias (and their new Teams)
Only one former Georgia fell this week, that being Jelly Burgertoes, our Season 22 Postseason birth who hadn't seen active play before now! Jelly showed promise as a batter, but was swiftly Gachapon'd to the Tacos in Season 23! This week, Jelly fell to the Yellowstone Magic, who are now writing Jelly's lore in the Magic Lore Thread, also on the Official Blaseball Discord!
That's all for this week, tune in for December 16, 2022 for the next Fall, and get ready for Blaseball's return on January 9, 2023!
