Kim loved him and never told him and eyes fucking died thinking he was no one's favorite person AND he died never having told KIM how much he meant to him so Kim (until Harry) also keeps on believing he's no one's favorite person bc eyes never FUCKING TOLD HIM ANYTHING and they kept it IMPERSONAL and they knew each other for 13 FUCKING YEARS and they knew each other SO WELL and they were brothers but all that emotional shit and how much they meant to each other they didn't talk about at all

And look. If eyes had survived the gunshot wound. If he'd fought off the infection. If he'd lived.

Maybe they would've finally opened up to one another

But eyes died and Kim never stopped blaming himself for his death and it's been 6 fucking years and Kim is still grieving. OKAY???

AND THEN KIM MEETS SOMEONE WHOS LIKE THE SUNRISE ON HIS BLEAK PALE WORLD AND THE FUCKER GOES AND GETS SHOT IN THE THE EXACT SAME PLACE

When Harry got that infection, it was eyes dying all over again. And Kim almost completely lost it

No coz (I'm continuing) Viorel is such a guy who on the outside is so chill and loose and happy and fun all the time. He's reckless he's impulsive he's a lot at once. He's shit at his job, despite everything. He's so so so so cool. Damn he's cool. Together. Collected. Takes things without blinking. (Like if a bomb goes off he'll just stand there and he won't flinch.) And he keeps on smiling. Keeps on going. Never seems to worry or fear. Never upset. Always fine and happy and okay and despite the way he seems cold and despite the way he seems to disappear when Kim's not looking for him or at him, Kim feels good with him. Eyes pries him open. Gets him to loosen up. Gets him to be playful gets him to stop being so damn serious. And he's smart and he's capable and he's perceptive and he doesn't give up and he's such a steady force. Such a steady, pushing force, that Kim starts to figure himself out. Stops being so stuck up. Stops being such a bitch at everyone. Learns how to use his rage right, learns how to use his authority right, and its eyes who guides him, who pushes him forward, who helps Kim mold himself into who he is today

So when eyes throws himself in the line of fire for the fifth time in a day or drives the Coupris way too fast or throws himself into dangerous situations with ease and calm cool, Kim thinks nothing of it. This is just Segal. This is just what he does. He's got it together. He doesn't care. He's cool

But in reality, eyes is passively suicidal as fuck. He's depressed. He has ptsd. He saw his father die in front of him when martinaise was bombed bc he was there for it when he was 6 and then he was homeless with his mother for another 6 years until they got an apartment when he was 12. And he's been working since he could work (probably around 6, really. Money needed to be made and the factories never pay enough, especially to an immigrant mother who can barely speak the language.) he's been living with his mother ever since. Even when he's 43. He can't keep girlfriends bc they don't like that he never takes them home. The 57th hates him bc he's different, because he's half graadian, because he's adhd as fuck and he's always late and he's always forgetting shit and because he doesn't seem to take anything seriously. He's struggling in his job and his struggling in his life and he was considering quitting when he met Kim. But the bills need to be payed. And then he and Kim stay in skip squad (juvie cops) for those entire 13 years bc they never move them out of it. Bc eyes is not well liked and bc Kim looks seolite so they're racist as fuck towards him

So really in reality Viorel is really bad off. And if he hadnt gotten shot and then died of septic shock from infection, he might've killed himself

Okey, but, I feel like og!Cale is the type of person that, if someone tried to make fun of him for a crush, he would be like "ah, yeah, that's true" and openly admit it.

So, og AlbeCale AU where whenever someone tries to mock Cale about liking Alberu or asks him about it, he downright says the truth. Regardless of who is hearing him.

As in, maybe once someone asks if Rok Soo and Cale are dating because they seem close (in part because they're kind of close, and in part because Cale keeps knowing what he is thinking, but they don't know that's just a Cale thing). And Rok Soo is like:

Rok Soo: Nah. This guy's type are baker princes.

Cale: You got it wrong. I don't like any princes who bake, I like Alberu only.

And Alberu, who was drinking tea on the background, suddenly chokes on his cup. Which they notice, of course.

"Oh. Hey, Al. Are you okay?"

—Totally unfazed for having Alberu heard the whole conversation.

He's so shameless about it and it's completely unintentional.

He has no idea of how people treat their crushes normally nor is interested on doing the same. He knows that some people tend to get shy, but a decade purposefully acting as trash killed most of his shame— Well, at least when it is about others' opinions of him—. If he wants to do something, being laughed at is not what's going to stop him.

And what he wants is to say how adorable he thinks Alberu is, so that's what he does.

Rejection? He isn't proposing anything. He doesn't plan on dating or wooing Alberu either. It's not that he wouldn't like it, it's just that it hasn't occurred to him that that's even an option. For him, who had spent years hearing everyone say the worst of him, the idea of someone wanting him by their side is so far away that it has yet to form.

So he keeps making casual comments about how cute Alberu is when he's confused, or "his hair looks so soft, I bet it feels that way too", or "he looks so handsome when he's tricking people. I like it more when he doesn't have to, tho", while everyone else feels embarrased for it. Except Rosalyn, she thinks it's hilarious.

Of course, he's pretty much respectful about it, never crossing the line to sexual harassment. And he would stop if Alberu told him too, but he doesn't. He kinda didn't realize that was an option at the beginning and, at this point, he got used and actually enjoys it a bit (a lot).

Cale: oh, sweets! They're my fifth favorite thing in this cruel world.

Rosalyn, fully knowing what she's doing: what are the other four?

Cale, carefully choicing which cake eat first: Well— *rising a finger per item* my family, animals, Alberu and wine. In that order.

Alberu: *frowns* I'm only third?

Cale, picking a chocolate tart: Mm? I loved animals since before meeting you and, at this point, is a part of myself. The other day I saw a dog and spent two hours squatting at her side without realize. It was not a conscious decision, it was... a soul impulse, let's say.

Alberu, looking at his thighs because damn, that's a lot of time to stay in that position: Oh. Wait, you've also loved wine since before meeting me.

Cale: Yes, but drinking wine is a choice. I can live happily without it. You would be... more difficult to leave.

Alberu: *processing* (that means— can't be happy without me aksjdjsj) "blushes hard*

Rosalyn, looking at Alberu's silly fuming face: (don't laugh don't laugh) Pff—

Cale: cherry pie? *Holds a mini pie in front of Alberu*

The turn tables when Alberu realizes that Cale doesn't have resistaince against genuine compliments. He never takes fake glibbery words seriously, but if someone says the slightliest good thing about him and they mean it, he'll become a mess. He just— doesn't know how to react when someone believes anything good about him.

So, Alberu starts complimenting him seriously— as reprisal, of course ("that's just flirting, nephew. You two are flirting, stop calling it vengeance"). Small but real things, details most people doesn't notice, deeper things that he deserves to hear (because, honestly, someone should tell him how sweet he is. How considerate he is. How much he should be appreciated because he's precious. And it seems Alberu is that someone). It works everytime.

Alberu calls his smile cute once and Cale stops talking. Face red and eyes avoiding everything, he can't pronounce a single word.

He calls him kind after Cale subtly helped a strange for no reason (he's obviously doing it in a way others wouldn't notice unless they knew what to look for. Alberu wonders if this is other "Cale thing"). Cale trips and almost gets discovered. When Alberu looks at his face, he's pouting.

Curiously, he doesn't have the same reaction when he gets called smart. He just smiles a bit and sometimes puffs his chest. Huh. Still adorable, tho.

Part 4. 01

November 7th, 4:25pm

Kim falls backwards onto his bed, a smile on his face that he hasn’t been able to wipe off for the past several hours. He just got back from a Not-Date with Chay, and this one almost felt like it could have been a real date. 

Kim sighs happily. 

They’d hung out for hours the day after Kim agreed to give Chay some time, and then for hours again the day after, back at the studio. They didn’t see each other yesterday, but they did text a lot. This morning Chay asked if Kim would join him in checking out a brand new cafe that had opened up, having heard that they have great desserts and decent iced teas. 

Kim has to keep reminding himself that they’re not together. 

He kind of wants to ask for Chay’s snapchat. He knows that he has one, as he’d taken pictures of their cakes today to post to his story. He wonders what sort of pictures Chay would send him. Would he send him selfies with boba tea? Pictures of sweet treats? Videos of him attempting that J-Pop dance he said he's been trying to learn? Kim should probably download the app first, though. 

His phone dings where it rests on the edge of his bed, signaling a new message. It’s a good thing no one is around to see the completely uncool way that Kim launches himself across the bed to grab his phone. No one texts him except for Chay, so there’s a good chance the message is from him. 

Kim lets out an embarrassing giggle. Fuck, he’s glad no one is here to see him act like this.

Kim pauses, frowning at his phone... What does chocolate mousse cake say about him? 

…Huh? 

Kim isn‘t sure what Chay is trying to say here, he already knows that Kim is big on chocolate. Lost, he scrolls through his meme folder for something vaguely related that he can send in response. 

Kim frowns down at his phone. Sometimes, he doesn’t really understand Chay. He looks to the side to gaze out the window at Bangkok in the late afternoon light, smiling gently to himself. 

He really hopes he gets a chance to, though.

Anyway here is a couple of them:

Dum Dum - (currently 12k written)

KimChay are walking home one night accidentally walk into an alleyway where they see a group of gang members killing someone, Kim tries to help Chay escape but ends up knocked on conscious and Chay is taken back to their leader. Chay believes Kim died in the alleyway.

A year passes with Chay now living as the mafia bosses husband. Chays mind is broken and believes the mafia boss is Kim due to him living in delusions to deal with the trauma. One day someone plants a bomb in the mansion and breaks in. Sunshine is tattooed on their neck and Chay thinks its a mercenary sent to kill him. He insists his name is Kim, but Chay doesn't believe him. His Kim didn't have tattoos or white hair.

Lucid- (currently 6k written)

Chay lives by himself and tends to a large garden. one day he finds a man passed out in his garden. Chay takes him back to his home and takes care of him. When the man wakes up he is startled and scared of Chay and jumps out of Chays window.

A week later the man comes back. They grow close and Chay eventually learns the mans name, and that he is a fae. As they grow closer Chay starts to feel sick and he keeps forgetting things. One day he forgets Kim.

Another fae curses Chay to forget Kim every time they part cause they’re jealous Kim doesn’t want them (the curse also causes Chay to be in pain whenever they’re together it takes Kim a while to figure this out which is why he keeps coming back, he just thinks Chay’s sick) but you know Chay is Chay so he’s so excited to meet a fae and talk and help him etc. but eventually Kim figures out how to break the curse: he has to die.

Loop - (currently 4k written)

Kim is forced to work at his family's company but he hates it and is intentionally being bad at his job. When he gets paired up with one of the company's best employees to make him better, Kim starts to fall for Chay. Kim does star actually learned how to do his job but Kim continues to be bad at his job so Chay will have to help him more.

One day Kim overhears his father saying if Chay doesn't get Kim to start working better he will be fired. So Kim starts to actually do his job. And when he is finally doing well, Chay is forced to quit anyway cause Korn doesn't like Kim is in love with a random employee.

anyway this scene is making me insane like this is literally what i’ve been talking about . i think she is so sick of being confined to her role and like having to be the “good one” or something and having people tell her what she should or shouldn’t do, or should or shouldn’t be okay with, and now with what happened in the desert she’s sorted out her priorities and they’re different from what everyone is telling her they should be and yes one of her priorities is her pro bono work but another one is pulling off these elaborate cons with jimmy and actually those two things are not that different to her, it’s a similar kind of challenge/risk/reward situation . and like she can be honest with herself about what she wants without having it compromise any other part of her life . and for both of them now i think a lot of their boundaries have been revealed to be lines drawn in the sand that are very easy to step over, over and over again . so anyway idk what i’m talking about but i get frustrated for her that other people are constantly trying to put her on a pedestal, because sure it’s nice to be admired but what about like her agency and her actual desires and personality and shit like that . anyway i think she should be allowed to be as fucked up and conniving as she wants. as a treat

[H2O s2 spoilers] Charlotte has literally done nothing wrong up until now and yet the show STILL paints her as such a bad person in Pressure Cooker.

She admits if she knew Don was Cleo's dad she wouldn't have shown up and looks visibly uncomfortable (but still trying to be polite) when she realizes it's Cleo's house and has to sit there and watch Cleo openly be rude to her mother by giving away a gift bought as a gesture of goodwill.

Charlotte KNOWS Lewis and Cleo are talking about her and instead of being rude and nasty about it (LIKE CLEO WAS IN EPISODE 3 WHEN SHE MADE ASSUMPTIONS) is just like "yeah, your dad is really struggling right now, you probably wanna go back in there and help him..?" like OMG that was so sweet of her. Yeah she interrupted their conversation, but come on she was trying to be nice. Characters interrupt each other all the time on this show- it's a teen drama, that's how it works. Despite everything Cleo had already done to her, Charlotte was still looking out for her dad.

Then Charlotte accidentally knocks a thing of flour into Cleo and goes up to her room after Cleo storms off to personally apologize for even BEING THERE because she can tell Cleo is Absolutely Furious about her showing up, and openly asks her if she can spend time with/date Lewis because she understands the two of them were together and she SEES how Cleo is reacting, and CLEO GIVES HER THE GO-AHEAD, BUT STILL TREATS HER AWFULLY ANYWAY. She didn't HAVE to ask for permission, but she does anyway!! AFTER APOLOGIZING FOR SIMPLY SHOWING UP TO HER MOM'S WORK EVENT.

and THEN at the end of the episode Cleo is like "even if it IS Charlotte (who I hate for literally no reason other than she stood up for herself when I tried to shame her in public for hanging out with my ex-boyfriend who I broke up with), it's Lewis's choice" but then gives her an actual death glare at the very end of the episode when Charlotte is literally just looking at her and evil music swells all because Charlotte smiles. WHAT!!!!!

IF YOU WANTED ME TO HATE CHARLOTTE SO BAD WHY DID YOU MAKE CLEO SO UNREASONABLE AND MEAN THIS SEASON AND CHARLOTTE AN ACTUAL SWEETHEART WHO HASN'T DONE ANYTHING WRONG OTHER THAN ACCIDENTALLY KNOCKING A BOWL OF FLOUR INTO SOMEONE AND PINING AFTER A GUY WHO IS- I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH- SINGLE!!!

anyway brb making a list of all the times the girls openly use their powers or are just straight-up reckless in public SOLELY IN SEASON 2 so i can compare it to them getting really mad at Charlotte and holding her to a huge double-standard because she used her powers to mess with Nate a little bit because HUUUUUUH??? if you have any examples hit me up because im currently doing a rewatch and im on ep 6 and already have a few... most notably Emma using her powers during the soccer game to dunk on a seven-year-old, but also Cleo using her powers at school to [checks notes] take a shortcut across a field with a sprinkler instead of just walking around. I have a few from memory as well that i just haven't gotten up to yet (like Emma and Rikki harassing Lewis at his job and almost getting him arrested because they left the gate open)
