I keep seeing people theorising that eddie is going to propose to marisol but even if that happened at the end of the season it would be insanely fast. besides her first episode that was all about her call, we’ve literally seen them in a handful of scenes together and one of them was eddie asking her to move out of his house. they literally had a whole episode about how eddie moves too fast. proposing this soon into a relationship storyline just perpetuates that. I’d honestly put money on this not happening.

Saw this video about why the Brits are so much more sociable to strangers than the Germans.

The Brits are pushing down years of carefully repressed emotions. If they don't keep things disgustingly pleasant something will errupt. "How lovely to see you!" If I don't pretend things are 1000x times better than they are, somebody wil lose it right here. Might be me, might be the other person, but something will detonate. Best not, ey?

Germans like misery. Makes them feel like a good person. If you're being too cheerful, there's something you're not taking seriously, aka you're a bad citizen. But that means there's no reason to repress the misery. It's not dangerous, it's good. They'll go on tirades about public services and other people's rudeness as a bonding ritual. If things are actually bad, they'll scale back the self imposed misery. A traffic jam is a catastrophe, an ALS diagnosis is "unexpected".

Also you don't talk to strangers. You exist near them for three plus months to sniff out any sudden movements, after which you're adopted, obviously.

Really, looking miserable around strangers is them doing their civic duty in taking the world seriously. That Brit who says it's lovely to meet you may barely remember who you are next time. They say that shit to everyone to keep functioning. If a German says that, something tremendous has happened between you and one of their loved ones and they are now your sworn swords.

That Brit will make you feel welcome and at ease, and mean it, and then slowly see how to take it from there. A German will ignore you, then talk your ear off about the state of the world, and then go stupendously out of their way for you, because they don't do small favours.

Different ways of showing love, if you can recognise them.

Personality Typing: Important Update

From here on out, I'm going to be discarding the CSJoseph Personality Typing systems, as I have done the MBTI system.

MBTI was derived (incorrectly) from Carl Jung's Typology; and CSJ created his system in an attempt to correct the cultural misconception of Jung's original vision. It served me well for years; and bore great fruit in my own life.

However, in the last year or two CSJoseph has completely transformed Jung's research into a personal metric of sorts, using it to "prove" his own faulty perceptions and assumptions of healthy human dynamics and societal structures. In short: he's lost his nuance; and is turning Jung's work into a holy book he uses to proselytize to the masses (i.e. his inner Discord circle.)

I'm keeping my old posts up because they were built on the older (more correct) versions of Jung's work; but from here on out, I will be switching to and quoting purely from his simpler, original outline.

As a bonus, it'll make the material easier to understand, I believe.
