F1 but it’s ultra specific ship dynamics that I need in order to enjoy the ship:

Versainz: baby’s first situationship (literally pentaltyboxbox’s art is my versainz thesis. “Ay, Max, no. I am not gay and neither are you” 🤨) teammates who weren’t supposed to like each other reluctantly becoming friends and then being intricately connected for the rest of their careers. But totally not in a gay way. Of course.

Chestappen: repressed catholic and some guy who needs dilf pussy so bad he wants to kill himself (this is deeply important to me)

Strollonso: Brat princess Lance. Heros and anti-heroes. I’m on the dark side. Tell Lance not to worry I just want to build a gap with the cars behind. You’re my fucking hero.

Carlando: Baby’s first situationship pt.2?? Lando with a massive crush, first real boyfriend Carlos….i need there to be angst. Lando fell first AND harder, etc.

Britcedes/Gewis: George fumbling all over himself trying to impress Lewis, Lewis just thinking he’s cute no matter what. It’s the coolest man alive/weird little freak he’s obsessed with pairing of my dreams. George: this is my boyfriend he’s cooler than me and also he’s cooler than all of you.

Maxiel: first love married divorced remarried pining missing something that maybe was never there will they won’t they one big game of gay chicken healing from baby’s first situationship etc etc etc (I adore them)

Dando: trying to find solace in another, longing for someone you can’t get back, subversion of expected dynamics (controversial: I fully believe Lando tops in this one). But also. They need to have one brain cell. Lando blabbing on about god knows what. Daniel sweating and popping a vein bc of how much he needs to kiss him.

Twinklaren/Landoscar: third time’s the charm, oh you’re the one I’ve been waiting for, tender glances, young love, first teammate crush syndrome

Danterri: we had something weird in the past. “Find another weed guy I can’t fuck with you…uhhhmm nothing personal I can’t fall in love right now and youre Everything I love so if I ever see you again I’ll never let go of your hand sooo yeah” (we’ve all seen that one web weaving.) Are you dating the female version of me?

Lecciardo: WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED IN VEGAS. Charles needs dick from a guy with unstoppable charisma soooooo bad. Fueling each other’s impulsive sides, etc etc

Sebchal: baby’s first situationship (Charles’ version) (from the vault) I miss you so much I’m going to listen to breakup songs all night long. I still think of you every day. I named you twice in a list of drivers. You may even kiss. If it was the omegaverse Seb is so obviously an alpha.

Brocedes: if it doesn’t make me physically sick to my stomach with anguish I do not want it. I hope you die I hope we both die. Hand in unlovable hand. I still consider him my best friend in my heart. We’re not friends. Are they lovers? Worse.

Chewis (Charles/Lewis. I recognise this is also the name for Checo/Lewis. What is the Charles/Lewis name?) me and the bad bitch I pulled by being in violation of that one article section. You know the post. They suffer together. Kinship in joint pain. You’ve got a long future ahead of you. Praise kink.

Random thoughts about this current F1 season that I have been meaning to write about but I keep forgetting so I am just gonna make this long post

Carlos has been the most consistent qualifier on the entire grid this season but this gets overshadowed by Ferrari finding creative ways to screw him and Charles over. I wish his consistency was praised more

Valterri has got to retire like there is not much else for him to do in this sport. He was in a top team for 5 years but Zhou has been out-performing him for a while now. I feel like it's time for someone else to start their F1 career. Like look at this graphic 😭😭😭

The lack of safety cars and all 20 cars finishing the races is simultaneously a good and bad thing. Good because it means the cars are more reliable, bad because race outcomes are way more predictable. Once Max builds a 20s+ gap it will be virtually impossible to close it.

I will be very surprised if Checo is still in F1 after 2024. He ain't doing so bad when it comes to points, but if your teammate has been in first place for more than half of the laps in this entire season and you can't come close to it, then you look even worse. He built a 50+ point gap to you , and at one stage y'all were just 1 point apart in the driver's standings. I would be shaking crying screaming throwing up

If they put Daniel in the RedBull seat after Checo's contract is up instead of Yuki I am going to be extremely salty. Yuki has been putting that car with no breaks in the points consistently like quit playing with him

Monza 2022 really tricked people because they thought Nyck de Vries would be more of a leader in Alpha Tauri. I ain't forger how he was shown in Drive to Survive. However, I don't agree with how people bully him like some people do too much

They should consider raising the cost cap because I know these teams know what the problem is with their cars, they just don't have the ~money~. And we all saw how useless the cost cap was last season

What is it going to take for Xavi to get fired like bro basically cost Charles a podium in Monaco. And he's just overall bad at communicating compared to the other race engineers.

Lando being stuck in McLaren and not even being able to fight for points consistently is heartbreaking. 😔. He is way too talented to be finishing like P17 all the time

Britcedes won't ever implode like Brocedes did but if George tries to suggest team orders for him and Lewis to swap places again I'm gonna cry. There's only so much I can take

Alex just might be the greatest driver of all time for being able to get the current Williams car a point and into Q3 in Austrailia. Out of straight line speed the car really doesn't have much going for it. I was gagged at how simple to floor is

I don't really have any huge observations about Aston Martin and Alpine but I do think it's cool to see how much their cars have developed and I hope they get to consistently fight for higher positions

pls forgive me for ranting on your tl but i’m wondering if anyone on here could help me place a few f1 dots together bc i truly am so new to the community that im not sure if i have some missing pieces or something:

i’m actually so devastated for carlos?? idk it feels like a lot of ppl don’t like him (there could be very valid reasons but im absolutely clueless as of rn bc i haven’t seen anything) but like? he gave so much to ferrari and they don’t give a fuck? but at the same time i’m not mad at lewis either bc i feel like something truly truly soul-crushing had to happen for him to want to leave merc.

i also always felt like that moment where charles & lewis posted that pic where they both got disqualified was a pre-curser to something bigger. although it’ll be a weird fight for 1st driver between LH44 & CL16, i think there’s so much mutual respect between the both of them that they will find a way to work. lewis seems like a driver who could POSSIBLY acknowledge that it’s time for new drivers to get more spotlight, and maybe make some more way for charles to shine (and i think fred also wouldn’t have signed LH w/o keeping this in mind

i hope carlos still has a seat in 2025, i think he has a lot to offer still, and i can’t bare to not see/think ab carlando on the grid every race

hmmm i mean me personally i dont hate or love carlos, he's just there most of the time LMFAO but i feel SO FUCKING BAD like esp his story on insta while ferrari didnt even talk about him?????? sobbing.

okay now THATS where i disagree HAHAHAHA🙈 lewis wants nothing more than his eighth, and rightfully so. charles wants nothing more than to a be a world champion at ferrari, and again, rightfully so. But at the end of the day, only ONE of them will be able to win races. its a selfish sport yk, and you cant really blame them for that. Just look at nico and lewis, both extremely talented drivers who had a lot of respect & love between them and still, the pressure of racing got to them.

im not saying that charles and lewis will end up like brocedes, but i also dont think that they can manage both being no.1 drivers. And, i also dont think that either one of them would settle for being no.2.

i dont think they'll bring in someone new to the sport so im pretty sure carlos will stay on the grid. Honestly, the best case scenerio: lewis to ferrari, the open merc seat goes to fernando, the open aston seat goes to yuki, and then the open alpha tauri (i am choosing not to believe its rebrand is real) seat can go to liam lawson, cus tbh he deserves it way more than 1/2 the drivers on the grid. ALSO i think the best decision redbull could make, now, is kicking checo tf out and replacing him with sainz. I js think sainz would be a PERFECT teammate to max and a good no.2 driver, and then he'll probably go to audi in 2026

Hiii! Regarding historia abscondita, will we ever come to know the council’s decision regarding Nico? 👉🏻👈🏻

I feel like, the events after have so much potential, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Like, will Lewis’ actions ever be known? Will he pay for the crime of making the kingdom’s magic a collateral for the additional magic he got in order to beat Nico? Will Mick hide his knowledge of the whole thing or will he crack and reveal it in the face of injustice that Nico faced and is still facing? Is the relationship between Mick and Nico purely sexual? Platonic? Just a moment of curiosity and adventure? How about Nico? Just what had happened that Mick needed to carry his unconscious form all the way back? What were the repercussions of him using his magic to bring Lewis back? And for that matter, when did Nico woke up from unconsciousness? What was Lewis’ reaction to finding Nico out and about, even rescuing him? Also, how far has Mick gone and would still go if it meant having Nico?

Sorry if this turned into a rant, I was simultaneously appreciative and fascinated with your fic, and was hoping to read some more, if ever u plan to continue it. Nonetheless, thank you very much for putting it out there! It really was a great piece of work!

Hi anon! I can answer some of these questions, but others are meant to remain open.

Regarding the coucil's decision... I can't give you an answer, but I will say that Lewis and those close to him are the only ones with a vested interest in locking Nico away... the remainder of the council are not so bothered by him. I think Seb will try his best to vote impartially, and Lewis isn't voting, so consider that how you will. I wanted the fic to end in the sort of present day post-brocedes limbo, so I wasn't eager to resolve anything.

Will Lewis's actions be known? Lewis probably won't ever go on trial. I think his struggle after the fic is mostly internal. The most important thing is that he knows what he did. He isn't going to be forthcoming about it with the rest of the council, but Seb will probably guess. Since the Yas Marina represents AD21, I wonder if the end of Lewis's reign is coming? I'm not committed to that, but it makes sense wrt canon. Mick is not going to spill any of Lewis's secrets... I think he understands that Nico would prefer if everything between him and Lewis remained a personal matter.

As far as the nature of Mick and Nico's relationship... platonic might be a good way to put it? There aren't really any examples of romantic relationships on the level of marriage or dating in the fic, so I imagine that what Nico and Mick have is deep respect and some love with occasional sex. I don't think they're fucking while Nico is on trial, though.

What happened in the Yas Marina to save Lewis was essentially a transfer of magic as life energy? The Yas Marina had completely drained Lewis, and Nico gave his magic to bring him back to life... handwavey magic stuff mostly, but the idea was that Nico was very close to dying for real. Your other questions about what happened when Nico woke up, what was Lewis's reaction, how far would Mick go... I am keeping these to myself for redacted reasons. But imagine that as deeply as Mick feels for Nico, he has other obligations in the castle, and Nico would prefer that he behave.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the fic! It was truly a labour of love.

Quite a while ago @12romy tagged me in this, but I didn't get around to it until now

How many works do you have on AO3?

21. Sixteen are F1 RPF and the rest are Captive Prince.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

101,102 words! I just passed the 100k mark last week with my recent work and I am very proud of myself! Additionally, I also posted more than 50k this year alone (with more on the way), which is more than double what I posted last year.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Just F1 at the moment. I see myself continuing to write in this fandom for a while. I used to write Captive Prince fic.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

This is a pretty terrible representation of my fic imo, but these are all older works so it does make sense.

5. Do you responds to comments? Why or why not?

Always! If I haven't responded, I do intend to get around to it. I appreciate comments SO MUCH and I love to gab about my own fic.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I have been told that the ending of the ships that go sailing (heist au part 2) was upsetting. Although as the author who knows what happens next, I don't find it to be particularly upsetting. I think that soft rock star (baby's first rpf) is decently angsty because of Lewis's sort of resigned hopelessness towards his continuing relationship with Nico, despite Nico getting engaged. Although I would argue it's still a pro brocedes fic, I also make the argument that the dynamic brocedes has going on is not good for Lewis.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Tell me why this is so hard to answer??? I am going to say the slimy moonlit riverbed canopied with devastated clouds. This is my extremely optimistic post Barcelona 2023 brocedes fic, and it ends with Lewis waking up to Nico having cooked him breakfast. To me the ending is extremely hopeful and romantic.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not yet and hopefully not ever.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

YES. I use sex scenes to shore up or to explore emotional beats. Sex scenes are also a great way to work through relationship dynamics. I like my sex scenes to be super embodied and dynamic, and I like to be specific about where limbs are, what position participants are in etc. My general philosophy is to have a good "push and pull" between participants so that the dynamic doesn't get boring. This is also why you'll probably never see me write a straight up dom/sub dynamic. I just don't know how to write that type of scene.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've ever written?

Not really. If fusions count, then my craziest is a Kitchen Nightmares and Captive Prince fusion fic.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but someone asked recently, and I'm still thinking on it. I thought I would be okay with translations, but lately I've been thinking about the potential consequences of allowing someone else to control your work. I have a hard time with betaing, for example, because I can't stand to have my work be read in a state that it could be misinterpreted!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I have to credit a lot of my fic to discussions in the dms. I'm sort of working on a fic that was chat ficced to me so compellingly that I had to write it. Does that count?

14. What's your all time favourite ship?

Lewis/Nico! This should come as no surprise. It is absolutely no contest with this one.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I would love to be able to dig into any of the max/daniel wips in my gdocs, but I have terminal brocedes brainworms right now and am not currently able to write anything other than them. Sigh. It is so hard being a brocedes endgamer.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I have been told lately that my writing is vibey and cinematic, and I would mostly agree! Imagery is very important to me insofar as cultivating the mood of the fic. I also think I make good, evocative verb choices.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Sometimes I struggle to write non-explicit fic. The PWP format is awesome, but its a bit of a crutch for me. I also have no idea how to write time passing other than by simply ending the scene and starting a new one, or how to introduce sudden events other than by writing "Suddenly, [x happens]".

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Usually unnecessary, and a huge pain for readers if translations are only included in the notes. If used sparingly and intentionally, this can have a cool effect, but only if you take into account that your readers are probably not going to bother translating the dialogue.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

I used to write self-insert Batman fic on Wattpad (lol). If we pretend my fanfic-writing career started on AO3, then Captive Prince.

20. Favourite fic you've written?

Absolutely no contest. It's the slimy moonlit riverbed canopied with devastated clouds. I said a lot of what I wanted to say about brocedes in this one, and I got a lot of wonderful comments that make me think other readers feel the same!!!
