A bit about us ^-^

Hello! We are Wishes In Writing! This blog has been around for about 7 months now.We all thought it was time to more or less introduce ourselves to you all that way there is a sense of a person behind the post.

Just because we are posting this, doesn’t mean we aren’t looking for new admins to join. If you would like to apply and try to be apart of this blog with us. Just go to this link and read up on how you can apply. :)

Admin Boat:

Hi! I am Admin Boat. I am the one who created this blog and I kinda worked solo on it until Satellite and Cloud joined me. Writing is a very new hobby to me. I never really wrote much until about two years ago. I decided to make this blog because with the new found love of writing. I wanted to make kpop scenarios and all that without congesting my already spam like main blog.

Now for the hard part… A bit about me: I am very much a plain Jane, vanilla flavored person . I am from Texas… I like to write (obviously) , i like watching tv and listening to music. So you know, i’m just like super basic in that sense. I love dogs. I am a pretty big nerd. A highlight of this was back in high school when a few acquaintances and I had a huge talk about different types of calculators…yeah that actually happened. ( i won’t say how long that conversation was because that will make it more embarrassing).

A more obvious thing about me is that i love kpop. I am a huge multifandom person. I have been into kpop for about 5 or 6 years now. I love groups like super junior, girls generation, f(x), big bang, bts, got7, shinee, block b, monsta x ,astro, exo, nuest, red velvet. …it would probably be easier for me to list the groups i am not a huge fan of. I just love all kpop. I try to support anyone and everyone as much as i can because all idols work so hard to do something they love. The only cool part about me is probably the concerts i have been to. I was so darn lucky to have gone to the GOT7 fan meet in Houston, to see Shinee in Dallas and to G-dragon’s concert in Houston (No i am not from that area of texas btw. I live in deep Texas at least 4 hours away from San Anotino. A more accurate description is that i am like 10-20 minutes from the Mexican border… Yes, i happen to be Latina as well.)

When it comes to my writing style I like to keep things as real as possible. I tend to include alot of foul language or try not to stray away from sensitive/more serious topics ( this being the reason as to why to I gladly took in the alopecia request and the infertility request). My favorite type of genre to writing is angst. Don’t get me wrong though i am a sucker for fluffy stuff, but i do try to hold back on the cringe. Smut is something i can’t write though. I have yet to become comfortable with writing (even reading) smut.

Admin Satellite:

Yo readers, Satellite here! I was the second admin that joined the blog. Me and Boat got to know each other through her previous work and I just kind of wanted to try writing too.

So, now over to me and my narcissistic ass; I’m kind of a weird turd from the northern parts of Sweden. If you hadn’t already noticed I’m quite weird… But hey, normal is boring! Anyways, I am mixed-race (Thai-Swedish) so I can speak both languages and English pretty fluently - I love languages and I’m currently learning more Asian languages since I find them more interesting.

When it comes to hobbies, I have a lot of them. Usually people ask me how many hours I have in a week since I do so much. I don’t think it’s that much… But it does get to me sometimes and causes stress. My main hobbies however include; travelling, dancing, everything music (singing, playing instruments etc.), learning languages, science (I go the science program at school and I’ll graduate this summer thank god), writing, painting, drawing, memes… and the list goes on.

As for writing style I love keeping it real, just like Boat. I also don’t really censor anything so swearwords and triggering content might usually occur (I do put warnings before though so don’t worry). Recently I have been quite busy though so I haven’t had the time to be active. But I’ll try my best as soon as my senior project is over and school starts to calm down.

Admin Cloud:

Hey Guys! I’m Admin Cloud and I am the third admin of this fantabulous blog. I was (still am) a big fan of Admin Boat and Satellite’s writing (I even requested some of their scenarios), so as I was going through their blog, I saw the admin wanted post and thought. Hmmm why not? So here I am!

Anyways, about me. Welllllllllllll…….I’m a military brat, and I’m currently living in Japan, sadly not in Tokyo, but close enough (only an hour train ride). Sadly I don’t speak Japanese nor do I know how to read, I know a few words and phrases but nothing that could hold a conversation. BUT I am Filipino and I could understand and somewhat speak Tagalog.

As far as hobbies go, singing is always the first thing that comes to mind. I love singing and honestly, you’d probably get tired of me singing or humming if you were around me for so long. BUTTT other than singing and obsessing over k-idols, I also enjoy a little photography, doing makeup, reading, writing, playing (and winning prizes) from claw machines, and most importantly…..collecting CD albums. I know collecting albums is “so outdated” but I love it! I have an entire box filled to the top with albums, and not just kpop albums (although the kpop industry takes CD albums to another freaking level) but also western artist’s albums. I hope that my album collections continues to grow so I could potentially have an entire room dedicated to them ^.^

Finally, a little bit about my writing style. I’ve been writing stories since I was in probably 6th or 7th grade. Ever since I stumbled upon Quizazz (now Quotev) and Wattpad, I’ve been inspired to write sappy love stories to make up for my lack of love live…JOKEEEE lol not really. Anywayssss I’m more comfortable with 1st person writing but I’m willing to challenge myself in order to grow as a writer. As for censorship, I do use curse words for dramatic purposes but if I feel that the scene could move on without any foul language, then I try my best to keep it clean. Just like Admin Boat, I also like to write angst, just because I feel like I could make it more realistic than if I were to write some fluffy stuff. But smut I’m a little uncomfortable with writing. I mean sometimes I read some smut but reading it is wayyyyy different than writing it. BUT if someone were to request it, I won’t shy away from the challenge ;)))

13. What do I post: on this blog? Although it’s my main blog, it’s my junk blog. All my other blogs are themed and have certain things that are reblogged to them (I have a compulsive need to be so organized, everything needs to have a place), this blog is for the leftover things the don’t fit in my blogs; mainly memes, animals, and neat stuff. But whatever really.

14. The last thing I googled: good question, one sec; lyrics to Tom’s Diner (an aforementioned song, I heard Robin Lord Taylor singing it and I wanted to know what song it was so I looked up the lyrics he is singing). However have 38+ other tabs open bcs I am an animal.

15. Any other blogs: lol, yeppp. A lot. Too many really. I don’t necessarily use them all either. My Gotham one is my most actively, constantly using that one. Then this on I’d second most used, then the positivity one, then so forth. I honestly basically have a blog for most everything. (my personal-personal blog is beforethelion, I haven’t updated for a terribly long while but I plan to start using it again verrrry soon for photography, poems, videos, art, like basically whatever Im doing that day;; so like self promo I guess lmao)

Dear diary...

Today is a rainy day. It's a sunday and i'm free. Currently i'm sitting on a train to dordrecht, and Instead of looking out the window, i felt the urge to write.

How am I doing?

Right now im still in my first year of music school. We havent had the opportunity to work on our own music yet, so i have had some trouble with staying motivated. This last semester i've been skipping many lessons, and doubting if this is the right study for me. But I am trying to keep going and at least finish this year.

Yeah.. I think it would be nice to finish something.

Work is going allright. Sometime there are very bussy days, and it makes me remember why I kind of hate horeca. Buttt for the most part I have a great team, and I enjoy doing barwork. There is one thing tho that has kind of been bothering me. But that has more to do with myself.

I have gained weight :(

I work at a vegan junk food bar and when on a break, we order food from the kitchen. It's tasty the first 2 times but now I really want to stop eating the food. Me gaining weight is making me insecure and unhappy.

What I did to motivate myself to loose weight, is change my gym subscription. Now I can take classes too. Like yoga, pilates, and spinning. I hope it will motivate me to work out more and loose the weight.

But.. let's get back to the reason i'm on a train right now. My boyfriend is visiting his parents in Dordrecht, and this sunday is easter weekend, so he is free. He came up with the idea of taking his parents car, and drive somewhere like a mini vacation. He asked me where I would like to go, and I realized that I don't really know my own country. Or the neighbouring country's for that matter. I never really traveled so very much. Most of the time I have no money, no idea where to go, and not really anyone to go with. But I guess the best way to learn is too just do it, and get experienced.

We ended up choosing the Ardennen. It's a place with a lot of nature. Forests, lakes and mountains. I love nature, so for me this seems like the perfect getaway. Get out of the daily routine, and problems, and remember that i'm a living creature on this earth. Back to basics, back too what's important.

Well that's me trying to make it all spiritual :p I hope I can make some pretty pictures. I will probably post a photoseries.

Well I hope everyone is enjoying their easter weekend, and that everyone is happy.

The one with all the camping

Bucket lists, that pretty piece of paper filled to the brim with things we want to do, places we want to see, fears we want to conquer…most of them end up resembling a pinterest board full of pretty things and then there’s that ominous deadline of to do before I die which kinda really lessens the chances of us ever doing any of those things, what with most of us vying to be a better procrastinator than the other…BUTT if you have mad urges and a restless spirit and if your throw in some crazier than thou friends into the mix then CHEEEHOOO!!! You cupcake are gonna be ticking things off that list faster than your chubby hands can touch the base of that big tub of gooey caramelized popcorn!! And that is eggactly how we ended up going CAMPINNNGGGGGGG!!!(Hopefully your heads are still reverberating from the screechy echo that made).

Now y’all gonna be like, “Oh gawd, she’s gonna bore us with more gibber gabber about her trip and tell us how to set up a campfire without roasting off that perfect perm and how to not get entangled in your own tent and not to follow the poop trails with little grizzly bear bells in them”. BUTTT WEIGHT, I’m not gonna do that folks. Instead I’m going to bore you with swoon-worthy accounts of my camping trip which was completely poison ivy and bear attack free.

After a week of mid terms which were seriously messing with our long periods of doing nothingness, that brochure from Campper** was a godsend, it was just the kind of break we were looking for, a camping trip to Mankulam (near Munnar, Idukki), by the waterfalls overlooking never ending hills with bonfires and tents , all those goody goody treats my childhood backyard camping trips with moms shawls (masquerading as my tent) didn’t have.

We set off at about my post breakfast siesta time so we could make it in time for the complimentary lunch(raising eyebrows in that cool way). The drive was along narrow roads, the hillsides lush and glistening under the sun, baby monkeys playing peekaboo and miles and miles of unending tea estates. Three hours and winding roads, Ashik in the driver’s seat and the horrendous no siesta situation got to me though and I was a woozy nauseous mess by the time we got there but as soon as they opened their gates I was pretty gung ho about camping again.

We got out of the slightly stuffy and air conditioned insides to the fresh, breezy and clear air of the mountains, a welcome relief for us city dwellers. We oohed and aahed at the view, entranced by the witcheries of the misty mountains, the beckoning breeze and the trees dancing to their music, bubbling little brooks sparkling blithely nearby, the adorable homely tents and wait….the sounds of a roaring waterfall!! Wowieee!! EXPECTATIONS??? EXCEEDED!! We had our qualms about camping after our last “incident” and we dared not expect anything more than a plain old vanilla flavored ice cream situation but these guys gave us an ice cream sundae with our pick of toppings and a smear of chocolate!!

While my heart was doing a triple flip they brought in the complimentary lunch (I should stop saying complimentary right?). The owner’s grandmamma had cooked us up an amazing traditional Kerala meal much to the great skippety doo daa of our hungry tummies. She even sent us a huge bunch of bananas from her backyard thinking either that it’d be a nice wholesome snack for weary travelers or she just spot on guessed that we’re a bunch of monkeys. While our insatiable hunger was being soothed with the wholesome food, plans were bing made for us by the sweet people at the campsite. They were all ready with a jeep and loads of towels and some more bananas, ready to whisk us off to Some “secret” spot nearby…After an an unforgettably bumpy ride in an indestructible jeep with an amazing driver on a road which was more uphill than your average Joe steepy ones( the jeep was basically making its way up a non-existent hillside path), we finally got to our very own private multi-million dollar Jacuzzi/ shower/hot tub/…..faainnee…we didn’t get there but what awaited us was a secluded waterfall with pristine clear water, cold enough to make your teeth chatter, deep into the woods cloaked by a deep silence only broken by the sounds of our revelry.

How we got there: And we made several stopovers on the way, by rivers and hanging bridges and we even rode through a rivulet…

As much as I love places like Athirapally and the lot, I hate the tourists, the snack munching, giggling, loud, overly dressed up tourists. It sorta takes the joy out of going places. This, this was a different cup of tea by itself, covered by dense foliage, no prying eyes, the clean freshwater… We splashed about and frolicked to our hearts content till dusk and headed back to the base camp.

What awaited us was pure magic, as dusk turned to shadowy darkness and our tv-addicted eyes adjusted themselves, we were greeted by a bejeweled sky.

Calvin sure got that right…They’re like little bits of magic strewn all across the never sky…We just sat there, stargazing, losing all sense of time, normalcy and reality seemed a figment of our imagination. I for one was all warmed up inside being surrounded by some of the best people in my life and open starry skies and entrancing music, it was way better than all the dreaming of shoes and ships and sealing wax and cabbages and kings I’m prone to doing at all times to the annoyance of everyone I know.

Our reverie was broken by a shout out to go check out aanakulam, a sort of teen hangout spot for elephants. Driving through the same places we went by daylight was just super spooky at night, the friendly mountains now took us back to instances from The hills have eyes and that my dears is not something you want to recall when you’re out at that time on stranded hill roads.

We got to Anakulam though without any blood curdling incidents but it turned out to be a disappointing night ride coz there were no huge herd of elephants at the watering hole only a lone baby elephant who was pretty shy what with all the noise we were making and the glaring headlights of our jeep . But we were told that locals have have seen a herd of 90 on certain moonlit nights, I guess we’re not the lucky kind. Sigh…But we got to take a nice snack break to quiet our rumbling tummies from the little tea shop nearby and we went back as a happy troop humming old tunes and thinking happy thoughts.

B y the time we got back we were ravenously hungry and gorged on the flavorsome and gravilicious chicken curry and fluffy rotis meanwhile, the men were busy setting up the bonfire. Soon there was a blazing fire and we were drawn towards it, what followed was a night of mirth and frolic, with dancing and games of charades (which I lost miserably) . The embers turned a pretty shade of glowing reds and oranges, and there were tiny spurts and burps of flames trying to lick our little toes which were getting all warmed up…there’s something about fires which wakes up sleeping dragons and roaring phoenixes and unfulfilled dreams and they all march on with blazing spirits in your mind and these thoughts lingered on in my mind as the fire died out and I was back to bracing myself against the cuttingly cold winds which came in with their whoosh noises, rocking the dear pine trees and our little tents back and forth.

There were yawns and shivers and sleepy eyes from the most of us and we turned in for the night. We were lulled to sleep by Mommy nature herself, the misty moonlit night, the chilly breeze and the roaring waterfall humming it’s night song, the cicadas chirping away to glory…the best sleep I’ve gotten in ages I’d say.

Sadly, there was no beautiful sunrise to wake up to, coz most of us sleepyheads never woke up in time for that and those who did missed out coz it was way too misty but we did squeeze in a morning walk before breakfast to the waterfalls and got a closer look at the valley with its rivulets and forests.

Soon the sun was up in all its fury, the heat getting a bit prickly while we were in a rush to pack up and head back to our humdrum lives in the city. The drive back was with a bunch of subdued reminescy people in the car who only had Moti’s moms biriyani to look forward to but then again biriyani makes everything better…

Coz happiness is biriyani!!

Camping out at Mankulam is something I’ll never forget, what with it being my first time and it certainly was an amazing one at that and I can’t wait enough for the next time out on my own in the wilderness, with haunted woods and unstable tents and grizzly bears and no plumbing. What funnn!!! If anyone’s ready to brave the wild with us just shout out to us and we’ll be there bags, tents, grizzly food and all!!

They’ll whip up an unforgettable camping experience for you and your chums and all you have to worry about is getting your lazy asses to the campsite!!
