❝ that little lady? she is certainly an odd one, although I suppose this school is full of even more peculiar students. perhaps she appears to be rather calm to the common eye. but more often than not, I can see that she is actually quite excitable. while such zeal is beyond me nowadays, it is to be expected in those her age. therefore, I don't hold it against her as much as I normally would, should it be someone far older. however, I do have to commend how she conducts herself — whether it is the way she signs and creases her envelopes or her standing posture, it is not easy to overlook such details of one's character. without a doubt, she was certainly raised under a good upbringing as a lady. as long as she keeps persevering, I suppose she could eventually befit that title of hers. ❞

I was a bit conflicted at first because I thought putting both of them in the same room may be far too domineering :'-). they've got some similarities: being a (human) hater awfully dismissive of those they deem unworthy, their unapproachable disposition and well, their lack of reasoning behind supposed cruelty(?). admittedly, having so many similarities won't always mean they see eye to eye. but who's to say they have to? they've both attended some pretty... major historical events. albeit placed in different places during the war, I'm hoping I'm right in saying that they've both come out with a pretty jaded outlook on life from it. she's at a bit of a standstill with her life, to the point that her reasons to attend NRC seem questionable. it's something I think might be interesting to explore — she's not going to bring a new and more hopeful outlook to his current views, and if anything, any influence she may have may be more on the pessimistic side, but she's definitely there if he needs to sit down and stew. you've got a pretty cynical pairing, overall. on a more light-hearted note, I'd like to say that she'd appreciate the fact he shows good manners when necessary. regardless of how briar is, it's undeniable that his prowess is worthy of respect, at the very least.

❝ that shady fellow from octavinelle? we both belong to the same grade, so it’s natural that we’ve interacted before. kardia often maintains an appropriate distance between himself and his peers — never does he appear uncouth or disclose more than he needs to. however, he does has a tendency to help out those he has taken a liking to. but after the deed is done, expect him to ask for something in return. as for what his requests pertain to, I haven’t the slightest idea — and I would prefer to keep it that way. owing people is not exactly what I would consider a fond pastime of mine. despite this, I have no complaints to voice about kardia. I too would expect the other party to return the favour. it’s simply a matter of the fact that I can’t trust him, given that nothing is ever truly free. besides that, he is admittedly an exceptional cook. ❝ ourania brahms… is certainly a pleasant lady. her upbringing is evident through the way she conducts herself. not many own the same amount of grace and poise she possesses. and yet, in times when she breaks out of that bubble, she can actually become fairly ardent compared to her usual demeanour. by no means is this meant as an offence — I merely think that the sight of her being so passionate about a subject she holds in high regard is wonderful to see. in fact, I believe that her spiels are rather compelling to listen to. moreover, it seems that we share a particular affinity for mathematics... her ability to do mental arithmetic is never not fascinating to witness — it is quite astounding how quickly she can work with numbers. we also happen to participate in the same weekly math puzzles.
