Some Things Biden Can Do to Protect Abortion Rights:
DECLARE A STATE OF MEDICAL EMERGENCY: By doing so, President Biden will highlight the importance of abortion access for ALL Americans, regardless of their state’s stance on abortion.
ABOLISH THE FILIBUSTER: Doing this, will ensure the codification of Roe v Wade, making abortion legal and secure for those wishing to get them.
EXPAND THE SUPREME COURT: The expansion of the Supreme Court from the 9 to 13, can ensure that there will be more people to move forward important legislation into law. Doing so also ensures the restoration of law and order
MAKE ABORTION MEDICATION EASILY ACCESSIBLE TO ALL AMERICANS: The federal government has already made it easier for women to get abortion pills by mail or prescribed by telemedicine. And the government doesn’t require that women take them only in clinical settings. But only certain providers can prescribe mifepristone, one of two necessary pills for a medical abortion. The federal government could change the guidelines to allow any medical provider to write a prescription for this medication and could expand the pharmacies where it can be picked up, said Elizabeth Nash, an abortion law expert with the Guttmacher Institute, a nonprofit research organization that supports abortion rights.
Mind you, these are only a few of the things that President Biden can do to protect abortion rights in the United States, even though the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. There’s a plethora of more ways to protect abortion rights in the US. So many states are declaring themselves “sanctuary states” and this term defines them as places that are safe for abortion access. Some of these states include Oregon, California and Maine. These states, among other states have governors that are dedicated to protecting abortion rights, making it safe and legal for uterus bearing individuals to obtain them at their discretion.

On a call to action this week I met some wonderful Hoosier women who gave me hope. With renewed energy, I'm more determined than ever to join forces with them and ensure the majority voices are heard in this "Red" state.
One of the participants emphasized "Indiana is a purple state with a turnout problem." The state went Blue for Obama in 2008. We are manifesting an even stronger majority for the midterms in November!

I woke up on Friday to learn that my human rights were being violated…again.
Multiple of my closest friends would likely either be dead or stuck with their abusers if not for Roe v. Wade, and I am not ready to lose anyone else.
Please reblog and add information to help those seeking abortions. If this gets any worse I will be leaving the US or moving to a state that respects my rights to control my own body. Thank you, and I am sending money, protesting, and love to all those who also feel concerned for themselves and those they love.

Biden is the Democrats’ answer to the hunger to “make America great again,” dressed up in liberal clothes. The New York Times’ Jamelle Bouie has in fact argued that Biden’s racial politics have offered a form of Trumpism on the left, a “liberal cover to white backlash.” To that I would add, he has provided liberal cover to anti-feminist backlash, the kind of old-fashioned paternalism of powerful men who don’t take women’s claims to their reproductive, professional, or political autonomy particularly seriously, who walk through the world with a casual assurance that men’s access to and authority over women’s bodies is natural. In an attempt to win back That Guy, Joe Biden has himself, so very often, been That Guy.
