this ask is perfect b/c i can talk abt one of the endings i drafted for the comic sjfhsjdfhdhf

okay actually im gonna talk abt two, the first one more specific ta your ask the 2nd a lil less but still relevant

scenario one: the kid never found em

you would get your kiss! who woulda knew??? probably would've exchanged some sappy "ohh ive been pining for u ohh i LOVE you" dialogue afterwards n then you'd eventually hafta leave the Tunnel of Love so ta speak cuz the kiddo would start getting frustrated he couldn't find you. soft, gentle, to the point!

scenario two: the kid still finds you, but!!

now i have pictures for this one! (doodles i did ta draft this back in late may/early june)

this was the orig ending! you got ur little tender moment!! yippie!!

fun fact: i wasn't going ta actually blue ball you guys until i started getting lots of ppl saying "please nooo dont blue ball us" and my Epic Troll™ brain took over. it was a very last minute decision (and a very good one might i add).

i dont rlly like this ending tbh. i think what i ended up putting out was a lot better. i also redid the aftermath like 3 times b4 ending up on what the final thing was.

(Richard. River doesn’t dream too often because of her insomnia, and Richard’s psyche is kinda-sorta messed-up. He probably has nightmares about the crap his dad put him through and heck, he probably still has nightmares about all the trippy freaky stuff Santanico made him see in S1. I mean we don’t know EXACTLY how long she was making him see stuff, but she was doing it while he was living in the woods so it had to be a while. Can’t see him shaking that, even as a snek.

AND LET’S NOT FORGET ALL THE STUFF AMARU MADE HIM SEE AND DO, LOL.)

Takes Petty Revenge on their partner over minor offenses:

(OOOOOMG. BOTH OF THESE PETTY-ASS GRUDGE-HOLDING SONS O’ BITCHES WOULD SEEK ‘REVENGE’ ON EACH OTHER FOR STUPID THINGS. AND SEEK ‘SUPER-REVENGE’ FOR THE OTHER PERSON’S REVENGE. IT’D BE A NEVER-ENDING SPIRAL.)

Talks the other into doing things out of their comfort zone:

(Uhhhh I guess it depends? River’s gotten Richard to step out of his comfort zone socially and emotionally a few times, even if most of it has been subtle. But Richard’s a bit better at being manipulative, he could probably get Riv to do shit for shits n’ gigz or whatnot. 8T;;;;)

Watches the most TV:

(Both like to watch the news for ‘reason’s bUT RICHARD BY A LONG-SHOT, HE NEEDS HIS MOVIES. PROBABLY WATCHES TCM FOR SOME GOOD OLDER FLICKS. AND PROBS TRIES TO GET RIV TO WATCH TOO BECAUSE SHE’S AN UNCULTURED MOVIE-PLEB.)

Lives off of microwave meals and takeout if no one cooks for them:

(PFFFFFFFFT Riv sucks at cooking and Richard doesn’t really need to eat ‘normal’ food all the time, they takeout a ton.)

Watches reality TV shows seriously:

(…….Well River loves ‘Say Yes to the Dress. She’d probably get INVESTED in a few of them, especially if they’re sappy and ‘romantic’. SHE PROBABLY WATCHES THE BACHELOR, GEEZUS.)

Watches Reality TV shows as a joke:

(LOL Richard probably thinks those shows are complete garbage, Reality TV is basically the Taco Bell of television. I don’t even think he’d be able to stmach watching it as a joke.)

Kicks ASS at video games:

(ROFL tbh I don’t really see either one of them being very ‘good’ at video games? River prefers more active means of entertainment and aside from movies and his occasional doodling, I don’t really see Richard being into them either… I CAN TOTALLY SEE HIM LIKING TO WATCH, AND BEING A TOTAL PURPOSELY-ANNOYING BACKSEAT-GAMER THOUGH. Riv MIGHT be ‘better’ at them, because her daughter plays them; and Dagny’s likely to have ‘forced’ her mom to play a game or two with her.)

Only plays games on their phone:

(River probably plays Candy Crush on full-volumes and it annoys Richard when he drives.)

Has the plan for a Zombie Apocolypse:

(RICHARD IS THE MAN WITH THE PLANS, HE PROBABLY ALREADY HAS LIKE FIVE…. PLUS THE WHOLE XIBALBAN THING WAS BASICALLY AN APOCALYPSE OF SORTS AND HE LIVED THROUGH THAT, LOL.)

Does the crafty things:

(Again, it depends? Richard has his drawings, and Riv likes to make poisons and aromatic oils though.)

Reads kids/YA books rather than age appropriate literature:

(I guess… River by default, since she reads to Dagny? Riv honestly prefers educational texts and crappy harlequin romance novels; and Richard definitely isn’t gonna be caught reading Captain Underpants anytime soon.)

Quotes stupid things in day to day life:

(oH MAN YOU KNOW RICHARD BE BUSTIN’-OUT THOSE SICK-NASTY MOVIE QUOTES AT ALL TIMES THAT HE CAN. EVEN IN INAPPROPRIATE SITUATIONS, LOL.)

Insists that they HAVE to take the top bunk in bunkbeds:

(RIVERRRRR, AND SHE’LL FIGHT HIM FOR IT… AT LEAST UNTIL SHE CONKS HER HEAD OFF THE CEILING ‘CUZ SHE’S TALL AF.)

Still sleeps with a stuffed animal:

(RIVER. IF SHE HAS ONE ON HAND, LOL. But Rich sleeps with HER, so I guess he kinda does too. 8P)

Has the biggest nostalgia:

(Neither of them are able to ‘let go’ very easily depending on the thing, but I feel like Richard probably is, especially when it comes to his interests and flicks. I mean yeah he likes to pretend to be a total-cold guy, but he looked so happy remembering that neighbor’s dog when he was talking with Seth. I can see him being the type to reminisce on points in his life when he’s alone.)
