Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come > The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. Don't get me wrong, the Crazy World's debut album is great, but it feels like Arthur pushed the whole thing that much further. The first side of Galactic Zoo Dossier is just incredible. It kicks off like an audio version of a panic attack:

Then it doesn't let up for the whole side, it's just this anxiety-inducing nightmare, they even put in these glitches in some of the tracks or these smash-cut transitions between song fragments just to make it sound even worse, but then it ends with this absolute beauty:

It's specifically a concept album about keeping your shit together and finding your balance in the middle of horrible, turbulent, awful times, so it's super timely too.

A post by my friend @i--heard--you--looking brought back some wonderful childhood memories.

For a small property we sure had a lot of trees- oaks, sweet gums, more oaks. Lots of oaks. And each fall, I would help dad rake the leaves to the street and pile them up.

And then, we lit them on fire.

Now, we weren't irresponsible; I always stood watch with a garden hose as the mini-inferno raged. No wonder Mom thought I would grow up to be a firefighter. Either that or a Cop ‘cause I was on the Safety Patrol. Pretty sure she stopped thinking about my career prospects around 5th grade.

That’s it folks. A warm childhood memory of lighting stuff on fire. Remind me to post soon about blowing stuff up, wouldya?
