Again, I'm opting for bad updates instead of none. 😅 So as you know I'm taking a break from velvet because it's not being nice to me. But I did draft a cummerbund pattern, try it on with mockup fabric and a zipper, and cut out most of the parts needed, including some very short trim that I think will look nice. Tomorrow, there is a plan for that golden fabric... with the iron. I'm going to try to shingle the leaves and flowers inside it. May also buy iridescent fabric paint for some parts because I'm gonna be that extra about this. May as well.

Bertie's moment of triumph against Aunt Agatha is amazing. His casual inquiries before the dramatic reveal. Her deflating at the sight. He gets to roundly scold her in front of witnesses who are vocally agreeing and she is backing down. (I love the way he suggests that they sue her for this/gets them paid a bit extra to make up for the ill-treatment, even if he assumes the manager is taking some of the maid's money.) Then he gets to scold her even more about her bad taste in friends and about not setting him up with people. He's living the absolute dream.
