Headcanon Requests

Sorry for another non-writing post, but I'm also TENTATIVELY taking requests ONLY for headcanons. It will be a basis of if I'm inspired for it or not.

I'm wanting some requests for things like "how would they react to-" or "how do they-"

You can include any number of the following characters that you want. No limits! As far as I'm concerned, you could just tack an "All." onto the end of your comment and I'll get on it. (Mostly because I know some of these boys would likely never get requested and I wanna write for them lolol)

Conner Kent You can request for any specific version, but I'll default to Punk Kon if you don't specify. I've read all the comics, and watched Young Justice and Rise of the Supermen, so go nuts.

Dick Grayson When I say any version, I mean it. Arkham, any comic run, Gotham Knights, Titans, Young Justice, and any animated movie he's in (Batman Unlimited etc.)

Jason Todd Again, any version. Arkham Knight, any comic run, Gotham Knights, Titans (though he's not my fave Jay), UTRH, DITF.

Terry McGinnis I'm partial to the Rebirth comics version, but I've watch all of Batman Beyond and read every single comic.

The Slightly Overlooked:

Barry Allen Arrowverse preferred, but I love me some comic Barry.

Oliver Queen Arrowverse preferred, but I also love Ollie in the comics and whatever scenes he gets in other DC content.

hey there! this is a new multimuse rp blog, that features characters from dc & marvel (with more to come later!) . crossover friendly & headcanon based. i'll have a detailed muse list soon, but feel free to pm me or interact to set up RPs in the meantime! the writer is 18+, and i ask anyone who follows to be an adult as well, as this blog will feature mature themes, including heavy adult content, so please bare that in mind. i'm also completely open to writing on discord, if that's your preference!

The sheer EXCITEMENT at that response! I will be there at every single update as soon as I can if you do end up going back to it!! Seriously. Oh my gosh. I mostly sent that ask in on a whim (I’m not much on tumblr. I just created this one a couple months ago to ask a different user permission to bind their fic that basically got me through chemo lmao and I didn’t want that publicly posted so account creation was the only option) when I randomly thought about coldflash for the first time in ages and THEN went to reread my favorite coldflash fic (Tumbling Together followed by These Violent Delights actually haha) which instead made me reread that one chapter of Mighty Fine Predicament before coming here (and now I’m back to the first thing I wanted to do - reread Tumbling Together)

Also though - You write supernatural fic? On AO3? I didn’t know this! I want to read your supernatural fics if you’re ok with sharing that handle!

Tumbling Together and These Violent Delights seems like an absolutely wonderful and whiplash-inducing combo to read back to back haha.

and yeah i've been writing wincest fics since 2019 when i got back into supernatural (after several years away) as it was starting its final season. i engage differently with that fandom and with my audience in that space compared to how i engage(d) with coldflash. overall i write different (often heavier) themes for spn and do so a bit more unapologetically, and i tag a lot less, and don't (to the best of my ability) have such long-winded author's notes. if any of that sounds up your alley, my pseud for that fandom is Dyed_Red, and if you want to ask me about supernatural or engage with me in that space, please direct it over to @dyed-red or to my main @phynali. i try to keep this blog focused on dc/arrowverse content :)

I really liked titans portrayal of Gotham city and the Gotham tv series portrayal of the city, and this may sound ridiculous to say but at least for my liking there is not enough Gotham in the batman movies I get that the focus is on batman and whatever loon he's facing but giving some deeper focus to the nitty gritty and utter strangeness of the city and 'average' Gotham citizens is something that I just require lol

I really did not know all that, oh my gosh you're telling me we are legit not gonna see that little bastard (said with such affection) Jason todd version ever ever again because one dude wants his universe to be the only one!?- that is some playground level nonsense and honestly with this many characters and this many storyline possibilities it is just unfair not to make a bunch of universes and that way fans can pick and choose which ones they wanna follow. Like I know some people didn't like the arrowverse (I fucking loved it) but if there's different options you don't have to watch the one you don't like cuz it's not the only one available y'know

Bruce killed the Joker for Jason (that is so huge) heaven above let titans live on for a little bit 😢 a redhood spin off with him attempting to clean up his own mental state and Gotham city with Barbara's help and we could've gotten to see more gotham villians heck Tim could have been included here and there in it cuz he's Robin now, bestie I wanna pull my hair out. And the fight scenes in titans was like near netflix Daredevil level beauty, the brutality shown in some characters (ahem dick and jason) contrasted with how you know that they're good inside that their heart is in the right place (esp dick) but you can visibly see the brokenness

I'm just getting back into titans now, it took forever where I am for season 4 to come on netflix and I still haven't watched s4 yet (I did skip all the way til nearly the end just to watch the episode with redhood lol but oh my seeing Tim be robin was cool)

I kinda really need to see Jason dealing with what he did to poor Hank (hank was one of my favs I cannot believe he didn't get to just nicely retire with dawn 😢)

Okay no but you're right!! I started rewatching Gotham like 2 weeks ago actually lmao and the pure joy the cutscenes bring me just because the city looks so GOOD is insane hjdgfkdh Both Gotham and Titans did a really good job at showing how gritty and gloomy Gotham is while also allowing it feel very organic and completely normal for everyone living there. (like the Titans being a little confused with Gotham stuff happening but you have Dick, Jason, and Babs just rolling with the punches). Tbh I think every Batman related movie/show needs to show the city more like Titans and Gotham because I think showing how Gotham IS explains a lot of why Bruce and the rest of the batfam and villains are the way they are

Nope!! I'm assuming we'll see a version of Jason and Dick (at the very least) at some point but they won't be Titans versions and won't be the same actors. LITERALLY WHAT I'M SAYING!!!! I physically do not care what his role is. He shouldn't be able to just be the only one (again same goes for Marvel). But yes exactly!!!!! Like if there are different universes with a bunch of content for all of them, then like................that's more money?? lmao At the end of the day, studios like making money and if there is only one universe and 1 version of the characters, like you said, some people won't want any part of it because they won't like it. But, if there's another universe for them to watch, they might like that one!!! I have NO desire to watch The Flash movie and it kind of ruins it because actor. But, the show?? It's one of my favorites and I loved Grant Gustin as Barry and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally jkdfhgkdj (I mean the whole cast of the show tbh is so good). I know James Gunn probably thinks it'll work because he worked for Marvel and it worked for them but DC isn't Marvel lmao AND IT SHOULDN'T BE. DC should be different, that's what makes it fun but having to watch 30 fucking movies to understand shit is not fun when I don't like Miller or Momoa or the kid from Santa Clarita Diet who's gonna be in the Superman movie please I don't wanna watch THOSE to watch the shit I want to see (Blue Beetle, I will watch you soon). I wanna watch Titans lmao

OMG BUT TIM WAS SUPPOSED TO BE APART OF THE SPIN-OFF 😭😭😭 That's part of why I'm so angry. Jason is my favorite batfam member, immediately followed by Tim. And those two don't get along often in comics so ya know, the show was NICE and the spinoff could have been EVEN BETTER. (I also just adore Jay as Tim. He will also be MY Tim Drake). I could actually write a whole think piece of morality of Dick and Jason IN Titans lmao because yes the fight scenes were ALWAYS so good (I love the one in the alley in season 1 episode 1 with Dick as Robin idk and Dick and Jason's fight in the words in season 3 episode 4) but yeah no they did such a good job with showing how they can pull their punches but also fight to the death if they really need to but that doesn't make either of them bad. For both of them, it's about the greater good and they just have different viewpoints of what that means because they're both absolutely fucked up (which is also great because it goes the same in the comics and it makes them SO MUCH more interesting as characters). It shows no one is all good and no one is all bad.

jfghdfgfh omg it took so long!!!!! I hope you enjoy season 4!! It definitely wasn't as good as 2 or 3 imo but it was fun!! Episode 9 is really good!! I still smile like an idiot whenever I think about that episode with Jason lmao Tim finally gets his Robin suit thinking he's hot shit and Jason's like "Dude is gonna get his dumbass fucking killed LOL". Episode lives rent-free in my mind forever

Same though!! I need to know like what he did ?? Did he reach out to Dawn to offer an apology?? Did Tim tell Jason he met Hank when he died?? I don't know how he'd ever get over the guilt but I'd love to see the angst that could have brought us!! I wasn't a huge Hank fan but I was still jaw on the floor shocked when it happened and I felt so bad for him skdfh like poor Hank he didn't deserve to be exploded

Hi there! I'm Luna!

I’m 26 years old as of writing this, I live in Canada & my timezone is EST. I've been writing in various RPC fandoms for 11 years now, & have been doing so on Tumblr on & off since I was 19. I'm cis (probably) & use she/her generally but I'm also totally okay with they/them used in a general sense if you’re referring to me. I’m Pagan & have been practicing sporadically for about 12 years now, so you could say I’ve always had an interest in religion, folklore & mythology of all different kinds which may explain the weird assortment of fandoms I’ve participated in (DC, Marvel, MCU, Arrowverse, Historical, Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel, Lucifer, Glee, Twilight, True Blood, Greek Mythology, Yū-Gi-Oh!, Death Note, Supernatural, PJO & more in no particular order).

I have ADHD, depression, anxiety & a handful of physical health issues on top of working a part time job which causes my online activity to be pretty random but frequent, but other than that, I don't think there's anything else important to say. If you'd like to learn more about me feel free to reach out, I'm usually pretty receptive to new conversations even if I’m sometimes shy about reaching out first!

That out of the way, here's a few things to keep in mind when following me:

This is a sideblog for Chuuya, & follow backs will come from @moonrisenmuses. Now, I understand that multimuse / hub blogs aren’t for everyone, & there’s absolutely NO pressure to follow, interact with or look at my main blog! I’ll only be using it to send asks from my sideblogs, & only if you happen to have anonymous asks off! Seriously, I wont be sad or offended if you aren’t interested in my other muses.

My blog is 18+ only as well as multiship, multiverse, & canon divergent. As a general rule, I strongly prefer my RP partners to be 18+ regardless of the fandom simply due to my age & the sort of content I tend to write. Graphic & disturbing, I use swearing somewhat liberally OOC, sexual content, etc. If there's no age to be found on your blog somewhere I won't RP with you, sorry. Even a general idea is okay, it's for my own comfort & safety as well as yours; a 14 year old for example really shouldn't read the type of writing I'll likely be posting. Thank you.

I do tag triggers! Almost all the default triggers (child abuse //, violence //, murder //) etc will be tagged. If you have anything you need tagged that is less common, don't be afraid to ask me to tag it, I'm happy to do my part to make you comfortable!

On Triggering Material: I will not write any of the following on the dash: graphic animal abuse, graphic sexual assault/rape (allusions/references are fine as it's sometimes part of a character's background including my own). This may be in the form of flashbacks, discussions of trauma, recovery threads, etc. I just won't write scenes of it, I'm also fine with 'close call' threads where my muse rescues yours from assault or vice versa since that’s a very real thing that can & does happen IRL. I’m just not willing to post such content blatantly on the dash as I know it’s a deeply upsetting subject, & I have no desire to romanticize sexual abuse. I will not write anything to do with pedophilia or any sexual content with characters or muns under 18, bestiality (as in actual animals, not ability users who are able to become animals), necrophilia, etc. basically the 'main' major things that would squick out most people. For my own & my mutuals comfort PLEASE DO NOT INTERACT WITH ME IF YOU THINK ITS OKAY TO SHIP MINORS & ADULTS.

I do tend to format my replies using small text & customizing with bold & italics for the sake of the aesthetic/emphasis, but I don't expect you to. If you have any issues visually or language wise with how i RP come talk to me & we can try to work things out. I will also be using icons at some point, but not constantly, mostly just to dress up a reply now & then.

Don't force shipping with any of my characters. If a ship happens, that's great, & you're 100% allowed to just come & ask me if I'd like to ship but don't just go ahead with it without asking. Especially if your muse doesn't fit into my muse's sexuality on one of my blogs. example; I write Chuuya as almost exclusively masc-attracted on his blog (the exception being for shapeshifter/genderfluid characters whom he already has a strong romantic love for); so it would be uncomfortable & unfair to try to force a ship on him if your muse isn't what he’s typically inclined towards. That being said, all of my muses are open to unrequited romances as well, & in fact you don't even need to ask. It's okay for your muse to have feelings for mine, but they might not always reciprocate!

Highlighted because this has been an issue before: my interpretation of Chuuya is a GAY MAN. That means he’s not interested in women, especially cis women. The reason I mention gender-fluidity above is because of muses like Ara who sometimes present as femme, but not always, who he can be attracted to if he already has romantic feelings for them. He’ll date men ( both cis & trans } gender fluid people who present predominantly as male, & non-femme NB folks even! He’s just specifically not into femme-aligned genders.

To put it bluntly…

NO, he’s not interested in sex with women, & NO he would not enjoy being topped/dominated by them (yes, someone actually said that to me). Please don’t be gross!

Please do not follow me if you’re just looking to ship. I LOVE shipping, & I adore writing ships. But if you jump into my IMs with no other motivation then wanting to write out spank material with me my enthusiasm will deflate fast, especially if I feel like you’re just collecting writers of your favourite muse to smut with. Again, I adore shipping & am more than comfortable with sexual content, but please don’t assume anything before we’ve even written together. It makes me feel like you didn’t even try to read my info on him if you need to ask me what his orientation is since it’s listed in both my rules & my about page for him.

I’m sorry if this seems harsh, I’m just very awkward & non-confrontational & I hate getting peoples hopes up unintentionally, only to feel like I’ve let them down. So yeah, please just be mindful of this if you are interested in shipping!

Finally, my blog is absolutely drama free! I will not share callouts of any kind unless someone is an imminent danger. I've been roleplaying for 10 years now & frankly I'm just here to have fun without getting into fights.

This means that despite loving the romance genre and experiencing some romantic attraction I will be critical of amatonormativity and allonormativity.

➵I am neutral on RPF most of the time but have zero interest and will not reblog it.

Hi! I’m Luna!

I’m 26 years old as of writing this, I live in Canada & my timezone is EST. I've been writing in various RPC fandoms for 11 years now, & have been doing so on Tumblr on & off since I was 19. I'm cis (probably) & use she/her generally but I'm also totally okay with they/them used in a general sense if you’re referring to me. I’m Pagan & have been practicing sporadically for about 12 years now, so you could say I’ve always had an interest in religion, folklore & mythology of all different kinds which may explain the weird assortment of fandoms I’ve participated in (DC, Marvel, MCU, Arrowverse, Historical, Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel, Lucifer, Glee, Twilight, True Blood, Greek Mythology, Yū-Gi-Oh!, Death Note, Supernatural, PJO & more in no particular order).

I have ADHD, depression, anxiety & a handful of physical health issues on top of working a part time job which causes my online activity to be pretty random but frequent, but other than that, I don't think there's anything else important to say. This is a sideblog for my BSD OC, Kisara, heavily inspired by a character of the same name from the YuGiOh franchise, & all follow backs will come from @moonrisenmuses. Now, I understand that multimuse / hub blogs aren’t for everyone, & there’s absolutely NO pressure to follow, interact with or look at my main blog! I’ll only be using it to send asks from my sideblogs, & only if you happen to have anonymous asks off! Seriously, I wont be sad or offended if you aren’t interested in my other muses.

My blog is 18+ only as well as multiship, multiverse, & canon divergent. As a general rule, I strongly prefer my RP partners to be 18+ regardless of the fandom simply due to my age & the sort of content I tend to write. Graphic & disturbing, I use swearing somewhat liberally OOC, sexual content, etc. If there's no age to be found on your blog somewhere I won't RP with you, sorry. Even a general idea is okay, it's for my own comfort & safety as well as yours; a 14 year old for example really shouldn't read the type of writing I'll likely be posting. Thank you.

I do tag triggers! Almost all the default triggers (child abuse //, violence //, murder //) etc will be tagged. If you have anything you need tagged that is less common, don't be afraid to ask me to tag it, I'm happy to do my part to make you comfortable!

On Triggering Material: I will not write any of the following on the dash: graphic animal abuse, graphic sexual assault/rape (allusions/references are fine as it's sometimes part of a character's background including my own). This may be in the form of flashbacks, discussions of trauma, recovery threads, etc. I just won't write scenes of it, I'm also fine with 'close call' threads where my muse rescues yours from assault or vice versa since that’s a very real thing that can & does happen IRL. I’m just not willing to post such content blatantly on the dash as I know it’s a deeply upsetting subject, & I have no desire to romanticize sexual abuse. I will not write anything to do with pedophilia or any sexual content with characters or muns under 18, bestiality (as in actual animals, not ability users who are able to become animals), necrophilia, etc. basically the 'main' major things that would squick out most people. For my own & my mutuals comfort PLEASE DO NOT INTERACT WITH ME IF YOU THINK ITS OKAY TO SHIP MINORS & ADULTS.

I do tend to format my replies using small text & customizing with bold & italics for the sake of the aesthetic/emphasis, but I don't expect you to. If you have any issues visually or language wise with how i RP come talk to me & we can try to work things out. I will also be using icons at some point, but not constantly, mostly just to dress up a reply now & then.

Don't force shipping with any of my characters. If a ship happens, that's great, & you're 100% allowed to just come & ask me if I'd like to ship but don't just go ahead with it without asking. Especially if your muse doesn't fit into my muse's sexuality on one of my blogs. example; I write Chuuya as almost exclusively masc-attracted on his blog (the exception being for shapeshifter/genderfluid characters whom he already has a strong romantic love for); so it would be uncomfortable & unfair to try to force a ship on him if your muse isn't what he’s typically inclined towards. That being said, all of my muses are open to unrequited romances as well, & in fact you don't even need to ask. It's okay for your muse to have feelings for mine, but they might not always reciprocate!

Finally, my blog is absolutely drama free! I will not share callouts of any kind unless someone is an imminent danger. I've been roleplaying for 10 years now & frankly I'm just here to have fun without getting into fights.

Please note: I DO include the popular headcanon theory that Jason suffered from under age prostituion / child sexual abuse prior to meeting Batman & that will be in my interpretation of the character. Jason may discuss it, & there may be non graphic mentions of it, allusions by himself, or even mild to severe flashbacks or story format character meta posted by me OOC. These will be very raw, real & will not shy away from the trauma of it. It won’t be romanticized or excused, but it will be portrayed as exactly as damaging as CSA is. What I will NOT do on this blog is write threads with anyone that include sexual content of Jason when he was underage, consensual or not. EVERYTHING EVEN ALLUDING TO THIS SUBJECT SUBTLELY WILL BE TAGGED EXTENSIVELY. I don’t fuck around with severe triggers like this. A note on shipping: I do NOT ship Jason with any characters considered to be a part of the ‘Bat family’. That includes any of the Robins, Batgirls, Bruce or Alfred or anyone related to them who made one off appearances. I also will not ship him with any iteration of the Joker as in 99% of his verses, the Joker was Jason’s abuser & murderer. I do headcanon Jason once had a crush on Babs when he was quite young, & had a hero worship thing for Dick as well, but he’s long since grown out of those feelings; he considers them closer to friends or siblings these days. I will ship him with CERTAIN Rogues, however these will all be when he is above the age of 21. I will not ship him with Harvey Dent, Oswald Cobblepot or villains he knew while he was underage.

The only exception to this rule is crossovers where Jason never met the character in question Ad a child in that medium - such as Penguin in the TV show Gotham where all the characters are young & the Batkids seemingly don’t exist.

I’m always open to possibly interacting & plotting ships with crossover characters & OCs!

What sort of content do you write?

I write for a variety of fandoms, mainly being Marvel, DC Arrowverse, and The 100. I also write for Supernatural, The Walking Dead, DC Comics, Game of Thrones, Vampire Diaries, Star Wars, The Mandalorian, The Originals, Witcher, Grey's Anatomy, Fast & Furious, and The Last Kingdom. All of my writing is character x reader, most often than not, f!reader. Though there may be one or two fics that are gn!reader. Most of my genres for writing are the common genres, fluff, angst, with the occasional smut thrown in the mix.

Is there anything that you don't/won't write?

I will not write anything that involves abusive relationships, rape, dark tropes, kinks (mainly because I don't really write much smut) You can find out more about my do's and dont's here

Can you read my fic?

Of course! I have beta’d some works before that weren’t mine and I gave feedback to them privately. If I had their permission, I would correct any mistakes I found but I would let them know what those were. If they didn’t want me correcting anything I would just let them know of the mistakes I found, if any. Any works I beta I reblog to my main with feedback or I give feedback privately, depending on the writer's preference

I sent you an ask and you didn’t respond, why?

I either 1, didn’t get it or 2, it got lost in all my other asks. I have a lot of asks, ranging from people asking me to write them something, or things I sent myself to remember to do so if I didn’t answer, send me another! I’ll answer them as soon as I can!

How long does it take you to upload another story chapter or a new story?

I don’t actually have a time frame for when I post an update to a series or a new story. For my series, it’s mainly whenever I have the next part written, or whenever I actually remember to post it. Sometimes I’ll post after I’ve written a part and sometimes, I’ll post after I’ve finished the entire series. Though I am trying to stick to the writing schedule I have listed above.

Will you ever update your old unfinished series?

Honestly, probably not. I started those series because I wanted to write it and then after a while, notes started to go down and I lost motivation to actually continue to write it. Maybe one day I’ll post another part to it, as inspiration does strike at odd times.

Rules:

1. No explicit content. I am an adult, and I'm okay with some mature language and themes, but if it starts getting too far, I'll let you know. In general, avoid graphic descriptions of body parts and intimacy, but when in doubt, just pretend we're co-writers for a TV-14 show. For my muses under the age eighteen, this rule is obviously much stricter. Pretend you're talking to a younger pre-teen sibling (since I unfortunately know how inappropriate casual conversations can become in high school). Both of them happen to be asexual, so you can discuss that to an extent, but anyone who sends them sexual comments or asks invasive questions on the matter will either be given a warning or blocked on sight depending on the severity of said action.

2. No God-Modding/Auto-Hit/etc. unless we discussed it ahead of time. Of course, if I reblog an RP meme that invites you to hurt or control my muse, you can temporarily ignore this rule to an extent.

3. Please plot with me. I don't like going into RPs completely blind. We don't have to work out every detail, but I'd at least like to get the basic gist of your character and the type of plot you want before starting anything. If I have no idea what our muses' relationship with each other is like, I'm not going to respond to any starters you send me. I also reserve the right to turn down certain plots and/or characters I'm not interested in interacting with.

4. Please be patient with me. Between real life and other RPs, I may not always respond right away. I don't expect you to either. That being said, Tumblr is a highly dysfunctional app, and if you're worried that I may not have gotten the notification for your response or mention, feel free to PM me and ask! Especially if you notice I haven't been active on the dash; I can't count the number of times I've only seen a reply or something I was tagged in because of my addiction to dash-scrolling.

5. Please don't interact if you're below 18. This rule doesn't necessarily apply to following or sending asks to my underage muses, where there shouldn't be any NSFW content, or the occasional SFW headcanon that might get spread beyond the rp community, but I will block any minors I find in my notes engaging with my content for adult muses directly. For my own comfort, I will not write with any muns who are minors, regardless of our muses' ages. I also won't write adult/minor or large age gap ships.

6. Feel free to reblog anything from me except RP threads that you aren't part of. This is for my writing partners' comfort, and other than that exception, I couldn't care less about my notes getting clogged or reblog karma or whatever... I've literally had people reblog my bios and plot wishlists, which was weird but not upsetting. Although, on the topic of reblog karma, if I notice that you only use me as a resource blog without showing any interest in my muses, I won't block you, but I'm probably not going to be super motivated to RP with you either. When interest is shown though, I love being reblogged from so I can see how our muses relate or to send you asks as well!

7. Given that most of my blogs are for OCs, I think it's safe to say that I'm pretty OC-friendly. I'll RP with any well-written character that I can see my muses interacting with. For crossovers, I don't have any outside verses for my muses, and I'm not the biggest fan of multiverse plots between different franchises, but I'm definitely up for writing with AU versions of your muses as long as they fit within the world enough for me to not be distracted by it. For example, I probably wouldn't write with a Dragon Age version of Swiftwind from She-Ra, since animals don't talk in that universe, but I might be more open to it if Swiftwind were possessed, since there was a demon who communicated through an animal host in one of the games.

8. Please tag the blog you want to interact with when mentioning me. Hopefully, I'll see it eventually if you don't, but Tumblr tends to not shoe that I have notifications for this main blog unless it's for messages.

9. I write any length from conversational to multi-para. I'll generally try to match your length, but don't feel like you have to do the same. In fact, shorter responses are often less overwhelming to me for that very reason. I'm prone to letting the words take over occasionally, but as long as you give me something I can respond to, we should be good. 👌

I'm not going to give out my real name, but you can call me pretty much any variant of my blog or muse names. Raven was a popular one on my old blogs, because she was my first Tumblr muse, but if you want to call me Distant, Hawke, Laim, Swelter, etc., go for it. I'm also giving Spook a try as an official online nickname if you want to use that. As mentioned in my blog description, I'm 23 and use they/them pronouns. I currently work full-time, but my hours are inconsistent, so my schedule is constantly subject to change. My time zone is PDT, so I'm usually running at least a few hours behind everyone else, and I don't have the healthiest sleep schedule. Well, the news of the CW sale is... not exactly unexpected.

I've said this before but I'll recap the history and tell you what I think it means.

1. A sale of a majority interest is a sale, the buyer won't just be a shareholder he'll be a controlling owner. The CBS/WB share will be to do with legacy streaming rights.

2 11 years ago TV was trying to strangle the new streaming services. Consequently streaming services had difficulty getting content. The CW broke ranks and entered into a TEN YEAR blitzing deal with Netflix.

3. What that deal meant for the CW was that Netflix paid the production costs for all their series, paid a royalty and streamed like feck all over the world. Netflix created the worldwide fanbase. The CW entire business model wasn't a "streaming model" as stated, it was based on having a single deal with Netflix. It had one client.

4. That deal was up 2 years ago, and time has moved on. Instead of Netflix begging for content they are now in a negotiating position. The CW didn't reach terms and the deal wasn't renewed.

5. At that point, the CW have lost their sole revenue client. Their own viewers and station DON'T make them money.

6. So what do the CW do? Well, CBS and WB cut them loose and they are responsible for their own streaming. They find homes for content with CBS and WB BUT... here is the rub. CBS and WB hold onto their content and those worldwide streaming deals with multiple platforms and all countries are gone. That worldwide revenue stream for new shows is lost.

7. Instead of being a genius what Mark Pedowitz did was make his company a one client company. He didn't have any back up plan.

8. The second problem with losing the 10 year deal was... when it was entered into the CW had a teen niche. They produced high demographic teen drama and punched well above their weight. Those shows have died, the Arrowverse is gone, SPN is gone, the Gilmore Girls days are behind them. They've ignored quality or attractive content. They are tired and old. Netflix had to take what they offered, the rest of the market doesn't.

9. You can tell they have bad content... because they are losing viewers and demographic. So not only have they lost their golden deal, they have far less to offer in a far more competitive market. Yay... wonderful management there.

This is how they ended up in their current position, and my belief is that this will be a major break up and re-structuring.... I'll do a second ask on what I think this means for Walker.

Do you remember ages ago I described the CW as a bakery where no one was buying their cakes and they were surrounded by better bakeries....? Well, rent's just become due...

It doesn’t surprise me that CW has horrible management skills though. I can’t imagine that any buyer would just leave CW as it is and not try and revamp everything because whatever they’ve been doing isn’t working.

What's the new firestorm comic called??? I've only ever known firestorm through the arrowverse and ever since I really REALLY want to branch out and know more...the new comic sounds interesting from what you have to say

arrowverse firestorm sucks so bad... they could've done something really cool and there was a lot of promise with the actors they had but it was just... wasted. the only interesting thing they did was bring jax into the firestorm matrix (he barely exists in the comics, they just made an oc and slapped his name onto it, but the oc they made was great so i don't really care), but how they got there was... it was bad! it was bad! and then legends of tomorrow was just all bad! they'd set up jason as existing! he fully exists canonically in the arrowverse and we meet him in the flash season one! they could've done something with that after stein got hate crimed to death peacefully retired if jax needed another person to balance the matrix for him. but noooo--

sorry. arrowverse firestorm could've been great and it makes me angry, just like many other things on dc shows do.

anyway. the most recent solo firestorm comic is still technically the fury of firestorm: the nuclear men, which came out in 2011 and ran for 20 issues. is it good? debatable. but it's an introduction to a new firestorm canon, the concept fucking owns, and the art is never too bad to look at, so it's got a lot going for it in the world of comics. also the two leads are word of g-d in love with each other. which is always a win.

but the most recent comic firestorm has featured in is the new dc holiday special, which i really recommend. as a whole (the stories i read were fine and i thought the art was overall solid) and just for that story. it follows the new 52 canon while ignoring two major shitty developments (which took place in doomsday clock and in legends of tomorrow the comic respectively) and is very good.

also for tv firestorm content you cannot beat justice league action. look at my beautiful boy.

WAIT YOU WATCHED SUPERGIRL TOO? I have yet to find someone who loves Supergirl and the OC shows. This is potentially the best day ever.

Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak were my first ship, so the Arrowverse has it's own section of my heart.

Supergirl is/was my comfort show that I watched every week that just could just heal my soul. Watch an episode of Supergirl= a confidence boost.

I can say that I will forever be a Karamel stan bc they are just comfort and home to me, but I also support SuperCorp too. Partially because I'm just so obsessed with Katie McGrath. That entire cast is just amazing and I honestly really miss it. When Arrow ended it was like a piece of my heart got ripped out, and I didn't expect it to feel the same with Supergirl.

I don't follow very many people on here that post Arrowverse content so that's maybe why it's not that known but if anyone has any recs let me know!!! I'm much more of a casual fan of the Arrowverse compared to OC.

Just patiently waiting until my parents (ahem westallen) come back to me.
