Applications for contributors will be open until April 12th at 11:59pm CST. From there, the mod team will go through and decide what pitches have been approved. On April 7th all contributors who have been accepted for the Worlds Collide Zine will receive an acceptance email that includes a link to the discord server. Please keep an eye on your emails as that time approaches.

Meet @halfagone our sweet and talented writing mod!

Halfagone is an avid writer, feral reader, and fellow moderator for other DPxDC spaces.

She doesn't know how she got here but more the merrier! Although a multi-shipper at heart, she has a soft spot for Tim/Danny and Cass/Danny.

Her favorite DPxDC trope is "Danny Fenton Is Bruce Wayne's Biological Child", but she's always been a bit feral so maybe it's best not to ask. You can find her works here.

The Zine Contributor Application Process!

Are you interested in contributing to the World's Collide Zine but don't know what the process looks like? Well we're here to help!

In the application we're going to ask you some standard questions such as your email address, your discord handle and if you're interested in submitting art or a fic for the zine.

After that we're going to need two important things from you.

The first one is an example of your work. So if you're wanting to submit art work for the zine, we just want to see what kind of art work you've done in the past. Or if you're wanting to submit a one shot, we want to see what your writing style is like and how it reads.

The other thing we want to see are some pitch ideas.

Since this is a zine and will be a large collaboration piece with a vast variety of fanworks, we want to make sure nothing overlaps! That means making sure we don't have like three one shots with the exact same premise or three pieces of art work that are the same idea. This is just so that we can have a variety of pieces featured within the zine.

So when submitting your application come prepared with a portfolio of your past works (if its art, we want to see 3 art pieces and if it's a fic, it's gotta be no longer than 5k) and three pitch ideas that you would like to create for the zine!

After you submit your contributor application you get to just sit back and relax for a few weeks while we continue accepting applications.

Once we close the application form, the Worlds Collide mods will then go through and pick which pitches we like and compile a list of who we have selected to be featured in the zine.

When you're selected, you'll get an email from our Worlds Collide email with the acceptance message as well as a link to the discord server so that you can join and we can check in with you to see how your progress is going.

From there, you'll be working on your piece until August 30th while we check in periodically!

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for your response to our interest check! We are going to be answering some of the questions that we received on the form. If you have any further questions, please feel free to send them to our ask box.

At this moment, we do not plan to limit the creators in any way. We will though be putting anything that would be marked as M or E for violence on Ao3 behind a warning title, so readers will not stumble into such content unaware.

The set timeline for the Worlds Collide FanZine

Were you wondering what our timeline for the zine looks like start to finish? Here's a list of each part of the Zine creation process and when to expect announcements from the Worlds Collide Mod team.

Interest Check: March 1st – March 15th

Contributor Applications: March 16th – March 30th

Acceptance Decisions and Pitch Approvals: March 31st – April 6th

Discord Links Sent Out: April 7th

Creation Period: April 7th – August 30th

Check in 1: May 1st – May 3rd (approximately 25% complete)

Check in 2: June 1st – June 3rd (approximately 50% complete)

Check in 3: July 1st – July 3rd (approximately 75% complete)

Final submissions: August 30th (100% complete)

Zine First Draft: October 1st

Zine Second Draft: November 1st

Zine Final Check: January 2nd

ZINE PUBLISHED: January 10th

As you can see, you will have from April 7th until August 30th, so just a little under five months to get your one shot, your comic, merch, landscape spread, etc completed.

We will be checking in at the first of each month just to make sure that everyone is doing okay, at any point you finish your piece, you'll be able to submit it to the mod team.

Once all submissions are in, our amazing mods will start the work of making sure everything is ready to be put in the zine! We will be working on this and finalizing it until the end of the year and by January 10th, 2025 the first ever DPxDC fanzine will be published for everyone to see!
