Hello there~ I was wondering since your music taste for Izaya is so on point, do you have any HC's about the other characters as well, or maybe the alts?

hmm...admittedly i haven't thought about a lot of the other charas in terms of music taste BUT i feel like shizuo would really be into kayokyoku... and of course the obligatory enka headcanon that the fandom has had collectively for years since tsugarukaikyou fuyugeshiki lol...

i feel like for each chara their music taste is rly similar to the songs they cover... which for izaya is way different than mcr levels but i think he'd enjoy jpop and j-r&b as well so whatever. 🙄

actually u know what i think shizuo could be a fan of j-r&b and jpop too. he just seems like the guy to enjoy more slow music. which is another aspect him and izaya end up fighting about. (izaya tries to tell him how mcr is superior to shizuos fave band by playing a song and shizuo falls over and becomes an emo hater after that day.)

shinra would absolutely enjoy the cheesiest romantic jpop songs esp the classics ... if drrr took place in the 2020s he'd be making celty 90 different spotify playlists all for different occasions/moods. but since it takes place in the 2010s/00s (depending on anime vs novel iirc) he'd be burning all the songs onto cds and decorating them all cute lol.

this isnt music taste per se but more just my hcs on how they collect music and stuff... izaya absolutely has a huge ass cd/vinyl collection but would prolly use some kinda streaming service just for convenience. (but he would still make namie painstakingly organize all his cds just to piss her off.)

shizuo also has a cd collection but he doesn't even know how to use a smartphone so there is no way he is using any kind of streaming service lol. maybe if someone like tom or shinra taught him he could MAYBE figure it out but he doesn't even care anyways he likes his cds. shizuo was one of those kids who carried around the little portable cd players .

i think shinra would use streaming services too BUT he would collect vinyls specifically as well. they are solely for the purpose of putting them in a record player and dancing with celty to them because he is corny and loves to do corny shit with his wife.<3

i think thats all the charas i rly have any solid ideas on lol. im curious as to what u think abt all of these hcs !!! ^_-☆

— funnily enough Mukuro was made because I had a DRRR!! AU for another OC lol but honestly I think that'd work right in with her main verse tbh and as for TWEWY I haven't played the game much so I don't know much about the lore and what not but I don't doubt that! iirc it takes place in shinjuku right? So ya I'm sure fitting Mukuro in wouldn't be too hard to do :3

Kalinka︱A Durarara!! F.F.

Ok, so I did some spontaneous writing and came up with what turned out to be a Drrr!! premise. I also find my English kind of rusty (this being the first time in a while I write in another language than my own) so I’m terribly sorry if there are some mistakes in there. I am trying, however, to improve my writing and expend some extra effort to ensure that the story’s quality is as high as possible. That said, have a good read and a much more enjoyable day! ♡

Prologue A

At the first glance, she seemed to be a regular young woman. Because she engaged herself in mundane routines such as work, household and nights out. She had friends. Encountered a history of lovers. She was deemed to be fairly social, but a mere human whatsoever. A human blending in with the colourless crowd walking around the streets of Tōkyō. A spectre going back and forth to the same doomed places. Not even after the woman had decided to move into a small apartment in Ikebukuro was she something to be reckoned with. Yet there was something about Mukōgawa Noriko that was to distinguish her from the ordinary.

She was an outrageous liar, a pretender. For the one who had started to commute from Toshima to Bunkyō, the professor whose heels slammed now over the wet avenue, did not know how it was to feel wholeheartedly. Regardless of how loud she laughed, she did not find anything truly funny. Cringed at horror movies just because the other ones did. Cried only out of empathy. If truth is to be told, empathy was the one emotional ability she could undergo, as Noriko was aware of all the other people’s feelings besides her own.

She moved to Ikebukuro in order to feel something.

“It is the only recipe of genuine adrenaline”, the woman had been told back then. Presumably, the friend remembers the day with immense clarity for it was right after they, themselves, had indulged in the tumultuous life of the district.

“Not the X-sports-adrenaline crap, but adrenaline. The one needed for your kind”.

She had looked at the companion hesitantly as they continued to rumble about flying vending machines, headless riders and sketchy cyber gangs. After a moment of disbelief, the woman slowly began to envision a new vibrant life. She envisioned a life where she would eventually exploit her twisted nature-or was it her friend’s euphoria she perceived? Wound up believing that the change would impact her life greatly.

Her phone flickered inside one of the overcoat’s pockets and so interrupted the train of thought. She kept striding ahead through the flamboyance of the cityscape and did not bother to check the notification. The one behind the screen could not, at any rate, postpone such an encounter. She thus knew there was nothing out there to turn her off the way.

Ikebukuro is not yet somewhere to be in without expecting something or a certain someone to alter your beliefs. Here, the stream of colourless faces is akin to a gold mine. Noriko was going to discover it at the very moment she caught a glimpse of a few high school students.

"Adrenaline”

It rushed frenetically through the woman’s veins as she had likewise been glanced over.

She looked into the chestnut eyes, reckoning them as something that was, indeed, able to meddle with her aim. As if the uniform clothed girl was aware of the destination, the consequential occurrence the woman would experience. For a brief instant, it felt like time itself had stopped.

She had moved long past the teenagers when Noriko regained her sense of reality.

The phone beeped once again. And again. Music reverberated from inside a chain of nightclubs nearby. Loud voices howling, singing, laughing like a drain. The woman assumed she was close to her endpoint so it was rather pointless to check her notifications just now. She also appeared to be staggered by the fact her destination was in the nearness of such a bustling place. Her destination was supposed to be a naïve café. Above all, it was supposed to be somewhere private.

The door opened with a clinking sound. She observed the room thoroughly. The coffee shop was uncommonly empty given the hour and place it was located. A single table at the back of the room was, admittedly, occupied. And there she found him. The man scrutinised her from top to bottom. His arms laid upon the upper surface of the couch; fur-trimmed coat hanging on a rack behind. And with a horrendous grin upon his lips, he lowered.

"I thought you’d never show up. I was getting nervous thinking you'd lead me up the garden path.”

“Good evening to you too, Nakura.”

“Now, take a seat, have a drink! Eventually, might be your last.”

man, some of my answers might seem a little strange given some of my rp history lmao, and clearly there are always exceptions to this, because there are plenty of people that i have met/interact with from different fandoms that have been super chill but i’ve been burned WAY too many times by people who circle some fandoms

mostly home/stuck, death/note, and drrr/!! WHICH IS FUNNY given the fact i used to write L and yall know that shelby writes Izaya. haven’t been a homestuck fan since high school but i think yall understand why im weary about them LMAO people who float around those fandoms really scare me because the dark material can really attract some worrisome people. and i should say that not everyone (clearly) is mean/bad in those fandoms, just that i’ve had a lot of problems in those spaces and i’d rather steer clear for my own health and sanity at this point.

also anyone who is really far into the general “anime” rp community is like. really intimidating for me; that gets so hateful and so full of drama i’m just. OOF. not here for it.

y’know, actually, i’m just sorta sick of fandoms in general. only fandoms that im super comfy with are the shelbyverse fandom, the castelleve fandom, and the ben&emma fandom 😤 i’m in all of those
