I started a couple of new WIPs at the end of last week trying to shake off or shake up my newly restored motivation to write. The following is from one in which I was able to get more than a few lines out:

“Tell me, Snow, what exactly about pointy teeth screams excitement?”

“I’d imagine it’s the part where they’re piercing your neck.”

“Dream on.” He rolls his eyes.

I pout.

And a bit of the next chapter from boulders turn into sand, which I thought I could ride my wave of inspiration into finishing this weekend but I forgot something important and now I’m feeling bleh about making the corrections. Story of my life. Anyway here’s angst, Baz-style:

I check my face and neck in the mirror for bruises but there’s only dark circles under my eyes with bags deep enough to fit an entire wardrobe of clothing. Nothing a bad night of sleep couldn’t explain.

I walk back to my hotel bed and punch the pillow I didn’t use until the indentation matches my fists and nothing else.

I spend several long minutes deep breathing in front of the window. Grey clouds roll in from the south-west and maybe it’ll rain this morning.

They say that’s auspicious, for a wedding.

I blame @bookish-bogwitch for auspicious slipping into my lexicon. I still gotta punch up this section bc every time I reread it I change it. Seriously I’ve had this draft since 9 am and I tweak it every time I come in here. Posting now and getting over myself.
