“I love Father Of All, but I feel like everybody got the rug swept out from underneath them. And one thing I noticed when we got in a room together, is just how much I missed it. That led to a lot of inspired moments.”

Thinking about how Green Day, who toured with MCR and saw Revenge of the Sith with them and had a lightsaber fight in the parking lot afterward with the lightsabers Gerard bought for Billie Joe’s kids, wrote a song in the year of our Lord 2020 that references “taking drowning lessons.”

Wyll being a terrible monster hunter is something that is so special actually. told to hunt heartless devil? immediately convinced of her goodness and humanity and without hesitation agrees to defy the devil who has his soul in custody and spare karlach at tremendous personal physical cost. vampire in camp? well hes handsome and funny and pretty polite about where he puts his teeth so it’s fine all things considered. finding out the person who ritualistically disemboweled a tiefling in front of him is a bhaalspawn like an unholy progeny of the god of murder that is culturally immediately reviled? no that’s his friend and he completely trusts in their ability to fight their nature with their own inner light. it doesn’t matter that they created the absolute they’re not that person anymore. Like Wyll. you are literally categorically not hunting the monsters. guy of all time

listening to Father of All... for the first time and honestly it's not bad in the sense that it hurts my ears. it's bad in the sense that it sounds like a 26 minute comp of background music they made for an apple commercial

My favorite part of the Father of All... era was Billie saying he liked writing short songs, actually, and every single interviewer without fail going "*gasp* but you wrote Jesus of Suburbia?!" Like. Friends. JoS is six ninety-second songs in a trench coat. This is not news.

Thinking about old men and women. Specifically the ones who frequently wake up at 3 am soaked in sweat and/or blood.
