(Don't come for me but) this actually makes way more sense for me than Kieran/Amarys.

I highkey could see Carmine just, getting a lot of attention and people crushing on her. From Drayton (teasing/yelling dynamic), Amarys (loving & learning how to balance each other out dynamic), and Penny (I imagine this as being more one-sided, with Penny being hella gay and just all oogly-eyed because its CARMINE).

Debating on bringing one or multiple aspects of this in the S&S D fic, although they'd def be more background stuff because story = big enough as is.
