public libraries in the usa offering free digital library cards to people not in their areas (as of october 2023):
brooklyn (13-21yo us residents)
seattle (13-26yo us residents)
boston (13-26yo us residents, EDIT: just commonly banned books)
los angeles (13-18yo california residents)
san diego (12-26yo us residents, not the whole collection just commonly banned books)
these books unbanned cards (unless otherwise stated) get you access to each library's complete libby/cloud library collection, no hoopla/kanopy/physical copies included.
ebook collections are expensive to maintain (many american libraries have annual fees for non-residents because of this) but because of an uptick in book banning (particularly brutal in mississippi last summer) larger libraries have opened their doors more, which is very kind of them!
i've used my seattle card for the last several months and their libby collection has about three times the books that my local library does, which is wonderful for accessing more niche titles or skipping a waiting list. would love to hear of similar ebook initiatives internationally!
i use library extension (firefox/chrome/edge compatible) to check all my collections (+ the internet archive) at once, works for several different countries highly recommend it.
spotify seems to be offering 15hrs/month of audiobook listening to premium subscribers and while that does seem useful if you're already paying and are after a new release with a long library waitlist, libraries are better for everything else.

#MODEM VS ROUTER VELOP HOW TO#
#MODEM VS ROUTER VELOP INSTALL#
#MODEM VS ROUTER VELOP SERIAL#
#MODEM VS ROUTER VELOP UPDATE#
#MODEM VS ROUTER VELOP MANUAL#
Room 1: Direct Line of Sight to the Router All run on an iPhone 11Pro using .įirst number Quantum G1100 / Second in bold number G3100 Mesh. Results are the average of 3 tests and represent internet download speeds (not the speed of connection to the router). The results are below but this is based on my home where I have a gigabit connection into the home. I ran multiple speed tests, 3 times each from 3 different points in my home. Verizon Quantum G1100 vs G3100 Mesh WiFi Speedtest (Detailed) If you want more details, jump to the G3100 detailed speedtest. That’s a huge step forward and has simplified management and configuration. The first bit of good news is now EVERY smart home device in my home is on the same SSID and with the Verizon G3100, I get full home coverage. In my case, YES but your mileage may vary (YMMV). So does the G3100 work, is it worth the $299 Verizon charge for it outright? I also still run an 8 Port Netgear network switch off the G3100 as across my Smart TV, Apple TV, and Game Consoles, Smart Home Hub devices I need more than 4 LAN ports. My goal with the Verizon G3100 is to not have to run a repeater and get WiFi to every corner of the house. I don’t want to share the floor plan for my home, but my issue with the Quantum G1100 is WiFi was almost non-existent in the bedrooms and rooms separated by the kitchen or bathrooms (until I put in the Linksys as a repeater). Yes, I know there are cheaper repeater options but I wanted the LAN ports. If you’re interested, I was previously using the Verizon G1100 and a Linksys RE9000 that I got from Best Buy. In fact, I had to set up a repeater and run a second router and SSID. I made the switch because the Verizon Quantum G1100 wasn’t struggling to provide all the reach I needed. Verizon G3100 Mesh WiFi Real-World Speedtest / Experience (Basic)
#MODEM VS ROUTER VELOP SERIAL#
See the photo below for a rear view of the network ports on the Verizon G3100, I’ve blacked out the serial number, etc. Verizon may change this in the future but I would NOT hold my breath as Verizon has never done it before. So you cannot plug in a network printer or hard drive to the USB port.
4 x LAN (I really wish Verizon would offer 8 ports, we’re in a smart homeworld)Ĭompared to the G1100 the G3100 loses 1 USB port but once again Verizon has NOT made the USB port usable other than for 5v charging.
Verizon G3100 Network Ports / G3100 Hardware Overview See the photo below, please don’t open your G3100 or you will void the warranty. So all the space is either wasted or for cooling. So honestly the G3100 is a Mesh WiFi in name only as a standalone unit.ĭespite the more modern Google-home look of the G3100 Mesh WiFi unit, the internals are all vertical-mounted in a standard circuit board. You will need to buy a Verizon E3200 Extender if you want to use the G3100 Mesh features. So like everything Verizon sells the G3100 is not compatible with any other home WiFi Mesh system (but you could run any ordinary repeater if you want). If you’re interested, based on the information in the box I think the Verizon G3100 is made by Arcadyn Technologies based on the FCC ID RAXG3100. I’ll share some thoughts on the LED white light / button on the front later. The Verizon G3100 looks nicer than the older Verizon routers and looks like a Google Home and an Orbi had a baby.
#MODEM VS ROUTER VELOP MANUAL#
This is a link to the FCC copy of the manual as Verizon keeps moving their one. The Verizon G3100 user guide / manual is online, the current link is here. Also because Verizon provides zero support on any issue if you use your own kit which forces you into playing tech support at home if there’s ever any issue. I have tried experimenting with using my own router but have always run into issues so I have stuck with Verizon gear. I have experience on FiOS with the following:Įach router upgrade has been a step-change in speed across raw FiOS and WiFi. I have been a Verizon FiOS Customer even since the switch from Spectrum (back when it was Time Warner Cable). Verizon had it (briefly) on sale, so I am sharing my review and setup instructions. How to Find a Car Rental Service That Caters to Your Needs
Tumblr media
Car rental services offer automobiles for a short period of time. These rentals can last anywhere from a few hours to several weeks. The rental period varies, depending on the type of service, but the duration is usually much less than the length of the rental. To find out more about the different types of car rentals, read on. You can even choose a car rental service that caters to your particular needs. Here are a few suggestions to get you started.
A valid driver's license is needed to rent a car at the billeje færøerne firm, and some countries require that you hold an International Driving Permit. Many car rental services require that you have a credit card to cover any additional fees, like road tolls or motoring related fines. Some companies may also require a large cash deposit, although you can get by with a debit card if you have a current round-trip travel ticket to verify your identity.
Once you have decided which vehicle you want to rent, the next step is booking the car. You can do this online through the car rental service, then pay for the time period you want to rent the vehicle. When you pick up your car, an agent will collect your ID and explain the lease terms and any special features of the vehicle. They will also hand you the keys, check the mileage, and inspect the vehicle for any damage. This is the process by which most people rent a car.
The system also helps car rental agents manage their errands. Using an app, they can set reminders and autofill. This will save both time and money. And because of the high level of security, the rental process is highly secure. There are also numerous benefits to using a car rental service. These benefits make it the best option for your company. With so many different options, you can easily find one that works for you.
Creating a unique selling proposition for your car rental business is important. Remember to emphasize convenience and service quality, as these are key factors to potential clients. Your name should be simple, easy to say, and catchy. Make sure to promote your business across all platforms. For example, you can partner with local hotels or rely on referrals from other businesses in your area. A good idea is to advertise your car rental service with car rental in faroe islands on social media and other places where people go.
In addition to creating a website with booking engines, car rental companies can also use mobile apps to promote their services. These apps make it easy for customers to book a rental car and see what type of car is available for that particular location. And they allow users to track their rental cars on the internet or on the mobile app. There are a lot of other benefits to car rental apps. One of them is that they offer commissions for each car rental that is booked through them. Check out this post that has expounded on the topic: https://www.encyclopedia.com/economics/news-and-education-magazines/car-rental-or-leasing-agent.

tautstrings replied to your post “Summary of yesterday’s BTS drops: Mutual PDA with neck/shoulder...”
can i ask by fansites what do u mean where r u guys when the bts drops out of nowhere
So by fansites, I’m referring to accounts on Weibo. This here is a useful post on how to use C-Ent apps, including Weibo. I’m not sure how user friendly the international version of Weibo is, since I use the China version, so your mileage may vary. If you’re having problems signing up or you don’t want to download another social media account, I’m going to suggest following @tracer85s, who very helpfully updates with links to the fansites whenever a BTS drops (and which isn’t immediately deleted). I hope that helps!
P.S. Please DO NOT discuss how to share videos that are not directly sourced from the fansites. Please be respectful of the fansites’ wishes. They have already asked that these videos not be re-uploaded, re-circulated, or amended in case antis get their hands on them, and it’s disappointing that we have people doing it.

There is a thing called "Knife Theory," -- while it's primarily referenced for D&D, this gives some ideas on how you can quickly and easily flesh out an exploitable backstory for a character. Every "knife" a storyteller has can be used to further the character arc of someone if you so choose. https://www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/775caq/my_friends_and_i_have_something_called_knife/
Also gonna drop "Worldbuilding Question of the Day" and the "Original Character Question of the Day" tumblrs: https://wbqotd.tumblr.com/ https://ocqotd.tumblr.com/ World/Character building is optoinal but useful! Your mileage may vary from question to question.

These are also about site design, only partly intersecting with writing...but there's no coding_resources chat, so I guess I'll put it here? Useful Wordpress plugins for webcomic sites. https://twitter.com/ErinPtah/status/1045091986070556672

Also, if you're using Wordpress, this site is invaluable for keeping up to date with the latest issues that might pop up with various plugins: https://wpvulndb.com/ You can search for various plugins, and sign up for an email digest. We use it at work a lot to make sure nothin' we're using got hit. Also, if you do email through wordpress at all -- get an SMTP auth plugin! It's... well, good because your mail can be rate-limited in case it starts spamming. Also sending authenticated emails will help stuff from getting flagged as spam. It won't stop it, but it will help. Many shared hosts require this. https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

Also, since I'm thinking about fonts, here's some good places to get free or inexpensive fonts with commercial use licenses: http://typodermicfonts.com/ - Check the "Some Styles Free"/Free tag in the catalog https://creativemarket.com/free-goods - Every week, there's a few new "free" items, one of which is usually a font. https://www.myfonts.com/search//free/?sort=cheap - MyFonts has a free option -- check the licenses on what you download https://www.exljbris.com/ - You may recognize this foundry, but... well, they have some distinctive, useful fonts! Check them out if you get a chance. http://www.blambot.com/ - COMIC FONTS! Some free, some paid. Read the license. https://fonts.google.com/ - Google has a ton of fonts that are available for web use AND download under the MIT open source license. *note: commercial use means like... in your books, or on your website, etc. Read licenses of course, and know what you're allowed to do. Many fonts do not allow you to use them in a graphic that you are trademarking because this may limit other people's use. https://99designs.com/blog/logo-branding/trademarking-a-logo/ If you're thinking about applying for a trademark, talk to your lawyer, not to me.

I get a bunch of cheap fonts, and other graphics resources, at MightyDeals: https://www.mightydeals.com/
They do limited-time offers of big bundles at huge discounts. Some of them have really nice fonts, others have tiled patterns (I've used them for SO many clothing textures) and clipart elements, that kind of thing.

Putting this here because there's no "coding resources" channel, hope that's all right. Now that a lot of people are suddenly feeling the need to move their webcomics to an independent hosting site, I really to spread this around...if you're going with Wordpress, don't use ComicPress! Use Webcomic 5: https://wordpress.org/plugins/webcomic/ It has more features, it's more versatile, and it's updated much more regularly, with an active support forum if you need it. There's so much you'd be missing out on.

Hi all! Here's a favorite link of mind for writing stuff! This is an entire recorded course from Brigham Young University on Writing. It's basically a lecture class by Brandon Sanderson, who's written a few of my fav books. It's a quite good class that covers many main categories of writing fiction! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4ZDBOc2tX8&list=PLH3mK1NZn9QqOSj3ObrP3xL8tEJQ12-vL
Also, I like to plot stories out event-by-event, then scene-by-scene for comics and I found this really cool format for using excel/spreadsheets to do it that I really like. This person uses the technique (they call it God's Eye View) for screenplay writing, so there's a whole thing about color-coding scenes based on what characters are in the scenes that I just don't bother doing, so don't let the crazy rainbow intimidate you! Anyway, it really helped me organize and get a good feel for the overall pacing of the story https://thestorydepartment.com/get-a-gods-eye-view-of-your-story/ Enjoy!

5e Schools of Magic Definitions
In Fifth Edition Dungeons and Dragons, “magic” is compartmentalized into a series of Schools which allow spells to be categorized into easy to understand ways.
While the descriptions present in the PHB are sufficient for the flavor (if you will) of each School, they leave a lot to be desired. While I cannot speak for the minds behind the current Core Rules, I can offer my own viewpoint and how each School can be described in their most basic terms.
Abjuration: The balancing of existing matter and energy
Attempting to translate “protection” magic in a value-neutral way is difficult, but I feel the easiest work around is this: what is protection but returning reality to the way it was before something happened? When an event unbalances reality one way or another, Abjuration seeks to balance things once more.
Conjuration: The creation of new matter
The one conflict I see with this definition is the “Benign Conjuration” ability (see Wizards in the PHB). However, if one considers the idea that the physical form of the ability’s user is destroyed and re-created as part of the magic, then we remain faithful to the definition and conjure-up a compelling moral quandary for the players!
Divination: The obtaining of information previously unobtainable
The idea here is that this magic functions as a short-cut in the most literal sense. Characters can perform elaborate investigations and/or experiments to obtain information, or they can use magic. Peering into the workings of the cosmos can have ... permanent side-effects, but your mileage may vary.
Enchantment: Manipulating the perception of Subjective Reality
Here “subjective reality” is referring to the decision-making process native to all creatures. Such entities see the world the same as before, but the internal process use to act on that information has changed (emotions, tastes and preferences, etc).
Evocation: The manipulation of existing energy
The way evocation is different from conjuration is based on how permanent it is. A conjured object obeys the constants of the existing universe, while anything physically evoked dissipates back into the Weave once an arbitrary time has passed.
Illusion: Manipulating the perception of Objective Reality
This magic produces false stimuli. By changing the information taken in by living creatures, this magic seeks to change such creature’s behavior in some beneficial way.
Necromancy: The manipulation of life energy
“Life Energy” is a bit loosely defined here. This contains souls of dead persons, the creation of life where there was once none, and the vitality of creatures already alive. All the other Schools deal in dead matter, or matter merely appearing to be alive, but this School deals exclusively with the boundaries of life and death.
Transmutation: The manipulation of the properties of existing matter
Strictly speaking, this magic does not create or destroy, merely change. Therefore pure transmutation requires larger and larger quantities of matter to make more impressive results.

I Tried The Satisfyer Pro 2 To See If It Could Really Deliver "Touch-Free" Orgasms
Tumblr media
We’re living in a golden age of sex toy innovation. Brands have perfected toys that mimic oral sex, toys that heat up, and even remote-controlled toys connect you with a partner hundreds of miles away. But a classic like the Satisfyer Pro 2, first introduced in 2016, is always worthy of a closer look.
Although it looks a lot like the much-hyped oral sex simulator The Womanizer, The Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation has some key features of its own. With 11 programs and "innovative pressure wave stimulation" the manufacturer promises "contact-free enjoyment” which can be experienced pretty much anywhere. Plus, the magnetic charging connection makes it quick and easy to re-up your battery. Newer versions of Satisfyer products come with an app that allows you to create your own custom vibration patterns, or even turn ambient sounds into vibrations using your phone’s microphone. They’ve also dropped a collection of pocket-sized vibrators, including the Purple Pleasure, which boasts pinpoint accuracy.
But when it comes to the original, one Amazon reviewer was immediately impressed with the award winning design: “It’s a beautiful sleek device, no ugly words or pictures to throw your concentration off. Smooth to the touch with curves in all the right places to be able to cradle it in the palm of your hand and keep it in place.” Another described their experience with the Satisfyer Pro as a “game changer.” They continued, “Imagine 100 perfectly formed angels going down on you, whilst soothing your soul and whispering in your ear the answer to all your problems.”
While your mileage may vary (no angels guaranteed), this product has scored thousands of likewise glowing reviews. But how is a toy going to get me off without even touching me? I had to know more, so I grabbed one and charged it up to check out for myself. Here's what I thought.
We only include products that have been independently selected by Bustle's editorial team. However, we may receive a portion of sales if you purchase a product through a link in this article.
How The Satisfyer Pro 2 Works
The toy itself is a long, thin device that looks kind of like that thing your doctor uses to look in your ears — that is, if you had a super fancy doctor whose devices were all rose gold-colored plastic. On the end that you put on your clitoris (yes, it actually does touch your body), there’s a soft plastic cap with a hole in it. That hole goes around your clitoris, so that it’s engulfed but not touched. The cap rests on the skin around your clit.
Here’s where the wild tech stuff comes in. The Satisfyer Pro 2 says it uses “intensive pressure waves and tingling pulsation” to bring you to orgasm. No touch, just motion going around your clit, through the air. And while the technology is similar to The Womanizer, The Satisfyer Pro 2 can be used in the water, and at less than $50, is much cheaper.
Putting The Satisfyer Pro 2 On
The Satisfyer user’s guide boasts that this toy is hands-free — as in, once you get it situated, you don’t have to move it. I laid on my back and, as the user guide (and my previous experience with toys) dictated, put a small dollop of water-based lube on my clit. I turned the toy onto the first and lowest setting, and then put it on me so that the mouth part (I can’t decide which body part it most resembles, to be honest) was resting all around my clit, and the handle part was pointing down between my legs.
When I put it on, it was already vibrating (or pulsing is actually more accurate, or maybe whirling?) to create the suction so it would stay in place. Because it was already moving, it got my body feeling great pretty immediately.
I will say that the guide makes it seem like once it’s on you, it stays on. I found that the suction wasn’t as perfect as all that. I had to put my hand on it every once in a while to reseal it around my clit. And when I flipped it so that the handle was pointing up toward my face, I had a hard time getting any suction to maintain. It felt like gravity was working against me, but that might not be an issue for other users.
Playing With The Satisfyer Pro’s Settings
I was immediately impressed by the sensations from the no-touch vibrations of the Satisfyer. The first level was pretty calm and gentle, and each subsequent level went up at a graduated interval so I could really get a range of intensity. I found that it was even more enjoyable to push down on the toy’s head to get better suction and more intensity.
The pulsation itself was really lovely. I’d say it was kind of like getting wind blown at my clit from all sides simultaneously, without any cold temperatures. It actually felt like something was touching me, but not in an overly intense way that can happen with some vibrating toys when they touch your clitoris directly.
Using The Satisfyer Pro 2 In The Bath
The Satisfyer is waterproof and they urge you to try it out in the bath, saying this provides stronger pulsation. So I hopped into a warm tub to try it out.
The pulsations under the water were a bit stronger, and it was easier for the toy to suction onto my body. However, while the toy connected to my body more easily at first, it also floated a bit, so I had to keep a hand on the top of the toy to keep it in place. If being in a bath turns you on and that’s where you like to play, this is a great toy to bring in with you. But I don’t think it’s critical to use it in this setting to get its full effect.
Using The Satisfyer Pro 2 With A Partner
Since I was having so much fun with the Satisfyer Pro 2, I figured I’d invite my partner in on it. Unfortunately, this didn’t go so well. As I mentioned previously, I personally had trouble getting the suction to work when the handle was pointing up toward my face. This means that the whole handle sits between my legs when I use this toy, pretty much completely blocking my vaginal passage. My partner and I tried a few different configurations, but couldn’t find one that included both vaginal penetration and this toy being able to stay on my clit. It could, however, be great for anal sex. And it’s totally possible that if you try, you’ll find positions that work for you.
The Verdict
I usually like something inside me when I’m playing, so I was a bit skeptical of a toy that didn’t have an internal vaginal part. However, I was extremely and delightedly surprised by the Satisfyer Pro 2. It gave me multiple fully clitoral orgasms, which never happens for me otherwise. The technology clearly works, at least for me! If you want a suction-style toy with a cheaper price-point than The Womanizer, or a suction-style toy you can use in the bath, I highly recommend it.

Vilo Mesh Router Review: Reliable and Reliable Dirt
Vilo Mesh Router Review: Reliable and Reliable Dirt
https://theministerofcapitalism.com/blog/vilo-mesh-router-review-reliable-and-reliable-dirt/
Tumblr media
Going into the weeds of their specs for a minute, Vilo routers support IEEE 802.11a / b / g / n / ac. There is no support for the latest news ax standard, also known as Wi-Fi 6. This isn’t a big deal considering you have to upgrade all of your devices to enable Wi-Fi 6, but it would have been a good addition for future testing. For security, do not use the latest news WPA3 protocol, but WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2). Like Wi-Fi 6, WPA3 is still relatively new, so it’s no wonder. But it makes passwords harder to crack and connections to devices without screens make it easier and more secure, so it’s an update you ideally want.
Each router has four internal antennas and supports multi-user, multiple input and multiple output (MU-MIMO), which allows you to better manage multiple devices that connect to the router simultaneously. There is also a bundle formation to focus the wireless signal towards the devices.
The Vilo system has the bandwidth enabled by default, which means it chooses the band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) that it deems appropriate for each device, but both appear with the same network name. This can cause problems when setting up smart home devices. My Nanolifolic light panels, for example, connect only to 2.4 GHz, but you also need the phone that sets them up to be connected to the same band. Fortunately, Vilo allows you to turn off bandwidth address, so you can split the bands, which I did temporarily to set up a few devices before turning it back on.
Mileage will vary depending on settings. My limitation is the speed of the internet coming into my home, but the Vilo system does a great job of distributing the available bandwidth and I haven’t had random disconnections in three weeks of testing. That’s not to say I haven’t had any problems.
The capture
The app is simple, but it may load or update slowly after making changes. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to update with the current status. Even after something has changed successfully, it may take a while for it to appear correctly.
During setup, to avoid reconnecting my smart home devices, I planned to give the Vilo system the same name and password as my previous Wi-Fi network. Unfortunately, it refused to accept the password and did not work. The good news is that it became a bug that the company quickly fixed through a firmware update.
There is also no way to force a connection to a specific router. It’s usually not a problem, because the devices connect to the nearest option for the best possible speed, but my desktop PC continued to connect to a router further away from the 2.4 GHz band at place the closest of the 5 GHz band as I would expect. A firmware update also improved it, although it occasionally connects to the router above.
Because the company is so new, it’s normal to see some issues like this, but it’s good to see Vilo active to address them quickly. Hopefully, this continues throughout the life of the router.

Parallels For Mac 5.1

Parallels For Mac Torrent
Mac Parallels 12
Parallels For Mac Torrent
With Parallels Desktop, you can switch between Mac and Windows without ever needing to reboot your computer. If you have already installed Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, or Windows 7 on your Mac using Boot Camp, you can set Parallels Desktop to run Windows from the Boot Camp Partition or import Windows and your data from Boot Camp into. Overall: We use Parallels Desktop for Mac on all of our Macs in our company. It makes it easy for our mac users to run the few needed Windows applications while still keeping the look and feel of the Mac OS that they are used to.
If you love running macOS, but find yourself needing to virtualize other operating systems (Windows, Linux, or even multiple copies of macOS), you’ll want to take note of this article. Parallels Desktop 14 for Mac was released a few hours ago. Since version 1 in 2006, Parallels Desktop has been a staple on many Mac users’ computers. Year after year, it’s been back with upgrades to enhance the experience for those that need to live in a dual OS world. So what’s new in version 14? Well, a lot actually…
First and foremost, it is now compatible with macOS Mojave and the latest version of Windows 10. Mojave can be run as a host and a guest OS (host OS compatibility will be final when Mojave ships). In recent years, Parallels has continued to make using Windows easier on a Mac by adding support for Microsoft Ink on the Mac and being able to use the Touch Bar on Windows applications. Dark Mode, Quick Look, and Camera continuity with iOS will also be supported when Mojave is released.
In version 14, Parallels Desktop is focusing on a few key areas: optimizing storage of your guest virtual machines, support for more Windows applications, pro features for IT departments, and simplifying everyday tasks that users do between Windows and Mac.
One of the features I am most excited to try is optimizing storage of the virtual machines. If you have 256 GB of storage or lower on your computer, running a couple of virtual machines can tax your free space very quickly. According to internal testing, a Windows 10 VM that was using 45.13 GB in Parallels Desktop 13 shrunk down to 17.77 GB in version 14. While your mileage may vary depending on how many different OS’ you have installed, you should expect to save something on storage. Parallels desktop 11 for mac retail box usb jp 通常版. Snapshots will also use 15% less space than previously.
Next, version 14 will also now support 4K cameras in virtual machines. This feature will be great if you have to use Windows to host WebEx demos or meet with clients via Windows-only applications. I also mentioned Microsoft Ink. While it is supported it in version 13, version 14 is enhancing it even further. Microsoft has announced that pressure sensitivity is coming in Office 2019, and version 14 will support that as well. It works in all Windows applications that use pressure data from a stylus. Pressure sensitivity will also work in Photoshop and Illustrator.
While Parallels Desktop 13 supported over 200,000 Windows applications, version 14 has continued to add more. Release 14 changes the way video memory is allocated and also improved Open GL support. As a result, some applications did not work correctly in version 13, but now do in version 14.
I mentioned improved Touch Bar support was added in version 13. Version 14 brings support for even more applications. SketchUp, AutoCAD, OneNote, Quickbooks, Visual Studio, Quicken, and Revit have all been added. If your favorite application isn’t supported, you can add them using the Touch Bar Wizard or by customizing an XML document.
For IT departments who deploy Parallels, the overhauled design Licensing Portal is a great way to simplify management of your users who need to virtualize an OS. You can invite users via e-mail to set up an account. You can deploy the application using Jamf Pro, and you can replace existing virtual machines.
Parallels Desktop 14 Crack Parallels Desktop 13 Crack: Not all the requests are developed to run on different operating systems and, as a result, if you need to run Windows programs on your Mac, for example, you have to use an emulator. Some college and office worker mostly use Parallels Desktop 13 Registration Code’ Unlike dual-boot solutions, in which users must completely shut down Mac OS X and endure a full OS start-up cycle to access a critical application, empowers users with the ability to run important Windows programs like Outlook, Access, Internet Explorer and all other applications without having to give up the usability and functionality of their Mac OS X machine even for a few minutes. It is easy to install the application that offers you the possibility to run different operating systems on your Mac. Mostly people use this. Free parallels download for mac.
Finally, there are a host (no pun intended) of items that are new that I didn’t have time to include a full write up on. They are: better multi-monitor support, improved Windows 10 boot times, improved performance for suspending an OS, decreased memory usage, and enhanced express installation of Windows.
Version 14 is a paid upgrade if you are a perpetual license holder. If you have version 12 or 13, you can upgrade for $49.99. It’s $99.99 for a new license, but you can also sign up for a subscription if you plan on upgrading every year. The subscription for the standard edition is $79.99 per year. If you need the pro or business edition, it is $99.99 per year.

Powered by Wear OS, the OPPO Watch Is an Android User’s Answer to Smart Wrist-Wear
Complete with the World’s first dual-curved display, the OPPO Watch is a Google user’s answer to the Apple Watch. I’ve been trying it out for the last few months and have been absolutely amazed by its style and functionality. But is that because I’m so used to the form and functionality of the Apple Watch?
Available in 41 or 46mm, the OPPO Watch is designed for life; if it weren’t for its curves, you’d absolutely be forgiven for thinking that the Apple Watch heavily inspired it. The 41mm Wi-Fi-only version is available in Black, Pink Gold, or a Silver Mist color, while the 46mm comes in Black or Glossy Gold with a choice of a WiFi-only version or an LTE option. As someone familiar with black smartwatches, I opted for the Black, but it’s all about your personal preference. Not to be confused with the Apple Watch, I was actually confused about why the company, even with the name. OPPO decided to call their watch the OPPO Watch instead of opting for a unique name that doesn’t seem like the company is just copying and playing off of Apple. Outside of the US, OPPO is a huge smartphone brand, and I get that. However, maybe naming it something different, say “the Op Watch,” wouldn’t come off as someone who’s newly discovering the brand as “oh that just sounds like a knock off Apple Watch” just looking at the packaging.
I received the 46 mm, LTE model for review.
Aside from the obvious style and name comparisons, the OPPO Watch holds its own as an everyday, all-terrain smartwatch that looks great whether you are dressing for business or casual. One thing I immediately noticed in my first two weeks with the OPPO was its battery life.
If you are an Android user, battery life is something you’ll truly appreciate in the OPPO as it will keep up with your lifestyle. I’ve been able to use the OPPO Watch for roughly a day and a half on a single charge, completing over 18K steps, two workouts, and overnight wear — all without turning it off or changing any settings. Your mileage may vary, but for a watch that boasts an always-on display and Tilt-to-Wake functionality, I was surprised that my constant tossing and turning in the middle of the night, as well as getting up periodically to change my baby daughter’s diapers, allowed enough battery for me to not only to wear it overnight but for the watch to survive without a charge until roughly 2:15 pm the following day.
The 430 mAh battery allows for a quick charge, so if you have a low battery and need to top it off before heading out somewhere, that option is available. According to OPPO, you can get 16 hours of power with a 15-minute charge. While I’ll say that it does fast charge if you have every setting such as Always-On Display, GPS, Bluetooth, 4G, and Wi-Fi connected, the chances are that you might not get that 16 hours. If you also factor in alerts and notifications (which I don’t receive many of on my Pixel), this could also drain the battery.
I was surprised by the aluminum alloy build in terms of design, complete with the ceramic back. It’s wider than I’m used to, and for some reason, it reminded me a bit of the Casio Calculator watch of the ’90s, minus the buttons and dreadful wristband. I expected the watch to be heavy on the wrist, but I am delighted that it is comfortable to wear and doesn’t feel heavy after a long day at work or the gym. It has a 1.91″ long rectangular 3D flexible AMOLED screen with 402 x 476 pixels at 326 ppi. At about 1.6″ wide, it’s a bit wider than the Apple Watch, which I wasn’t too keen on because I don’t typically spend too much time looking at the information on my wrist, so the need for a large display while a good idea, reminded me a bit of a Dick Tracy-esque watch that sat too wide on my wrist.
My biggest complaint regarding the OPPO Watch isn’t about its design, but it’s connectivity. I connected the watch to my Verizon Wireless service, paired as a smartwatch for $10 a month with my Google Pixel 4XL. This not only allowed me to take calls-on-the-go but if I left my Pixel in the house while going on a run to the store, I could still be reached by my wife. While the 4G connectivity was comparable to that of the Apple Watch, the Bluetooth and GPS, unfortunately, were not.
Paired with the Jabra Elite 75ts, I would take my OPPO Watch on the go for runs; for some unknown reason, the Bluetooth would randomly drop. I wear my watch on my left wrist, and when running along the beach or even just taking a walk around the block, the audio in my headphones would cut in and out. I thought the issue might have been with the headphones first, so I swapped them out with a pair of Shure AONIC 4 Bluetooth earbuds, but I encountered the same issues. As of now, I still haven’t truly found a remedy for this other than simply bringing my phone with me on runs and allowing the audio to play directly from the Pixel. This is a huge problem that I hope that OPPO fixes it —hopefully soon, in an OTA update.
Despite this, the OPPO Watch is tailored for the active lifestyle. The company prides itself on the smartwatches five exercise sensors, including the GPS + GLONASS. Allowing you to track your heart rate and other physical stats accurately, you can get five-minute workouts with a tap of the screen, which is great on a busy day. This is something I’ve wanted Apple to include for years, so the fact the OPPO Watch has this built-in not only is great but has the potential to make Google’s Fit program even more robust to compete with Apple’s Fitness+ program that will come out later this year.
Another health highlight is the improved sleep tracking that gives you a detailed report about your sleep state if you’re into that. I didn’t realize that I wasn’t getting a consistent 7-8 hours of sleep without interruption until I tried this function on the OPPO. Compared to the Apple Watch’s sleep “apps,” which seem to be more miss-than-hit than the OPPO. I know that Apple has also included sleep tracking in their new OS. However, I haven’t yet fully tested that in comparison to OPPO’s built-in function.
As you can tell from my review, most of my likes and dislikes come from comparing the OPPO Watch to the Apple Watch. The OPPO Watch’s design looks better than Apple’s to me because of the curved display; however, where the watch falls behind is the internal OS. Wear OS, in my personal experience, tries too hard to be a mini-Android phone on your wrist, rather than being a smartwatch that complements your smartphone. Others have shared this sentiment about other Android watches, and the OPPO Watch falls into this trap as well — it felt like it was trying to take everything people love from Apple, including a play on its name, without focusing on the OS. The OS isn’t OPPO’s fault; it’s Google’s. Google seems to be sabotaging its smartwatch line with a lack of proper OS updates and a complete disregard for making the watch a watch first and a smartphone tool second.
In terms of Wear OS, my main gripe is that it feels like not much has changed about the software throughout the years. Compared to the likes of Samsung, Wear OS this year received its first true update since 2018, and even in the update, I’ve discovered constant freezing in the OPPO Watch when doing things like setting timers when cooking or even delayed ringing between answering a call from my phone on the OPPO Watch. At first, I believed this was isolated to the OPPO Watch, but after reading about other people’s problems with Wear OS, I discovered it wasn’t the smartwatch but the software. While I haven’t experienced this on a workout, it would be a huge deterrent if I’ve logged in many steps or miles and received inaccurate readings because the watch stutters to log appropriately.
The upside to Wear OS, though, is that it is more useful than Apple’s Siri. With a quick “Hey Google,” I’m able to ask virtually anything I’d ask Google’s app on my phone and get similar results. No stutter or “I can’t find that” like the Apple Watch, and honestly, I fell in LOVE with that. Also, with Wear OS, I love the ability to see notifications CRYSTAL clear thanks to notifications being color-coordinated; this saves me a bunch of time knowing a glance at my watch that the Facebook notification that I received could wait to see what my Grandmother posted.
So, it is the OPPO Watch one of the best Wear OS watches available? Yes. Is it better than the Apple Watch? Absolutely not, but again I’m attempting not to be biased. I enjoy the color coordination of notifications and the ability to turn off the Always On Display (the 2.19 update patched a bug that fixed the display showing up grey, causing more battery drain, which has resulted in steady battery life for me. For reference, my battery life on my Series 5 watch seems to have worsened with WatchOS 7, which is right on time for them to release series 6, which I will not be purchasing.) Is there room for improvement? For sure. In terms of improvement, I think the 41mm model should’ve had the same curved edge display as the 46mm. Feels like OPPO decided this would be more “premiere” for the 46mm version; however, not everyone likes large square watch faces. The 41mm looks like a sweet spot for both women and men alike and would look a bit more elegant with the curved display.
I have grown to love the two buttons on the right of the OPPO Watch. Both buttons are used to navigate the OPPO Watch; they can be readily identified, have enough raise that allows you to know when they are pressed — and do not snag on fabrics like the Apple Watch’s turn wheel. The watch is also water-resistant for up to 50 meters, which seems to be the industry standard these days; if only I lived in a warm enough climate to have enjoyed a day at the pool wearing this. So let me end the review by saying this: If I were ever completely to leave Apple, I’d have to leave the Apple Watch with it. And aside from Wear OS having its quirks, the OPPO Watch might be the only watch I’d consider for my Android device. The curved screen is obviously the highlight feature, but aside from that, the familiarity with the form factor means I can go out wearing it. Nobody would be able to tell the difference until a colorized notification popped up. I just really, really wish that Wear OS would fix the constant freezing in an update.
If you’re interested in getting your hands on the OPPO Watch, I would say to get the LTE model so you can truly enjoy the ability to use cellular service on your carrier. I wish that OPPO would’ve included this in their 41MM version (it’s Wi-Fi only). You can learn more about the OPPO Watch by clicking here.
The OPPO Watch sells for $480 for the 46mm model and $299 for the 41mm model. Oppo is in the process of launching this watch globally; it will be coming to the US soon, and we will update with a link on where to buy once it does.
