Contemplating female Logan some more, and I think it's really interesting how despite neither him or Caroline being very affectionate or nurturing people Logan is still seen as a "warm" presence by his children while their mom is "cold/heartless". And while most of it probably comes down to different expectations of mothers and fathers, I think it also has to do with how Logan acts as a "provider" in a material sense and thus earns this mythic "creator" status, as if he grew them inside his own body. I think perhaps Mama Logan could still have some of that in a kind of mixing of archetypes, utilizing the sacred idol of motherhood while also presenting herself as functionally a man without a dick, achieving that kind of strength and grace that gets her kids to always flock back to her no matter what vitriol she spits.

I think "hard on women" and "couldn't fit a whole woman in his head" would still very much apply to lady Logan. I can't help but see her as a more self-made Margaret Thatcher, someone who assumes most women are too weak to reach the heights she did, too weakened by marriage and motherhood to lead a company.

Of course, whenever it comes to Shiv (or any daughter of hers), Logan insists she better goddamn try. If Shiv expresses doubt about having a child because of her career, Logan would quickly point out that she was able to raise a child and lead a company, so that's no excuse. Unless Shiv's saying she was a bad mother. Are you saying she was a bad mother, Shiv?

If we're talking about Girlcession I do think girl Ken would be more likely to die young than guy Ken. Like I can see more of an Amy Winehouse or Anna Nicole Smith situation with girl Kendall, she'd just be hounded so much by the press she'd be even more likely to destroy herself than guy Ken and that's saying something.

I do still wonder, if Kendall had been Logan's other daughter would he seek that kind of companionship from her that he does with Shiv or if he'd keep her at arms length emotionally specifically because of how much she reminds him of the other women he's lost/failed in his life. I think she'd still prove herself to be useful in the business side of things, showing that she's at least tougher than her mother and is capable of leading and being responsible, but Roman would be the de facto Heir With The Flair growing up and Logan just likes being around Shiv more, so Kendall's left kinda drifting in the middle not sure where her life is going.

Oof yeah, this is on the money. Shiv is who Logan wanted Rose to become, in his fantasy where he succeeded in getting her away from Noah and settled in New York. Being with Shiv is like living out that dream. Meanwhile, Kendall is Rose as she actually was, and Logan can't bear that, especially because Kendall had all the advantages Shiv had, right? So why is Kendall still so weak and vulnerable? So he enjoys Shiv's company more, but is still inexplicably drawn to Kendall, obsessed with fixing her like he wanted to fix Rose.

I feel like girl Kendall would still treat her boyfriends like bros, in a similar vibe to "you're a good guy and I like hanging out witcha", and in the variation where Stewy is still a guy they initially start out fake dating to ward off skeevy assholes and that transitions into them dating for real. In the guy Rava version, I think he might have some Tom-like qualities with his "I can fix/save her" complex that he gets disillusioned of and a ridiculous amount of patience, but with more backbone and anger toward Logan.

I so want a guy Rava showdown with Logan. Not that guy Rava is more badass than girl Rava, but it's clear from "I went to Market" that Logan simply refuses to engage with her. As little as he thinks of Tom in S1 he still acknowledges him; so what if Tom had a backbone and didn't care about impressing Logan? And dared marry Logan’s #1 girl? And openly challenge him? I think Logan’s tantrum would be one for the books.

And Girl Ken/Stewy fake-to-real dating plotline is what this country needs to heal.
