TL;DR BIO:

Grew up in West Virginia with their Mom and Bubbe. Their father left before they were born and they have no idea who he is or where he is. They don’t talk much about their family.

Growing up as a queer kid in a small, rural town was not easy and left them with emotional scars that still have yet to heal.

They went to college and got a degree in Queer Studies, but couldn’t find a job and was forced to move back home.

What happened in the years between that and Redwood Hollow they do not speak of.

First rolled into town as a Queer Studies adjunct professor and taught at Redwood College from 2019-2021.

After an unexpected inheritance from their passed estranged mother, Morgan took some time off to deal with family issues and quit their job teaching.

They went back to school to finish their beauty degree before opening Transformations Salon, where they do hair, nails, make-up, facials, and waxings.

Throughout all of this, they continue to do drag performances at venues around town, under the drag persona of Molly Morph. They also perform in community theater.

Every Sunday, they host a Dungeons and Dragons game that is open to the public, which people are free to come and go as they please.

PERSONALITY:

Vibrant, vivacious, and very friendly--Morgan is always looking to meet new people and strike up a conversation. They have very little shame (that they show) and aren’t afraid to make their opinions known.

At the same time, they put up a lot of walls. While it’s very easy to get to know them on the surface, they hold their history and traumas close to their chest.

Has a tendency to give advice and take people under their wing, especially younger people. Let Them Help You.

WANTED CONNECTIONS:

Mentees/Drag Daughter: Morgan takes a lot of people under their wing, especially younger people. Whether it be to give advice, be a shoulder to cry on, or someone to give you a makeover and confidence boost--they are here for you. Additionally, anyone exploring their sexuality/identity/expression, they are more than happy to help.

Friends: They tend to get along with people who will accept them for who they are, and requirements don’t go farther than that. Friendships tend to be one-sided, with Morgan supporting you while not giving up much about themselves.

College Professors/Students: Morgan taught at Redwood College for two years, so it’s very likely they met you in the staff room or the classroom. They care deeply for their students, even now, and still check in with them when they run into each other.

Your Hair Person: You frequent the salon and have built up a rapport with Morgan, who does your hair/nails/etc. ADDITIONALLY, always looking for new employees at the salon!

Collab, Bro?: As a performer, Morgan is always looking for other performers to collaborate with/businesses that will hire them to perform.

West Virginia Folk: Morgan grew up in West Virginia and stayed there all the way up until moving to Redwood Hollow. If your character ever lived there, we can plot out a connection there. I am open to other characters being related to Morgan--they are ethnically Jewish on their mother’s side, and their father is unknown Caucasian.

Criminals?: Morgan may or may not have spent some time in jail. Do with that what you will.

WANTED PLOTS:

Tinder Mishap: Morgan has a moment of weakness and downloads a dating app. They and your character connect, and Morgan accidentally ends up catfishing them with pictures of their drag. Who knows where things go from there?

Petty All the Time: Your character thinks Morgan is a hack and they can do makeup/performing/fashion better than they can. This starts a rivalry between the two where Morgan is (passive aggressively) always trying to put out an olive branch and your character just doesn’t give in.

You Son of a Bitch, I’m In: Through one way or another, your character knows about Morgan’s past and run-ins with the law. They need someone with an upstanding reputation like Morgan to help with a crime, and they blackmail them with their secret knowledge.

Minnie Myshkin-I’m a high achiever, don’t you see?

Well hi there! My name is Minnie, nice to meet you! I am twenty nine years old,and the assistant to the Redwood Mayor. I am quite the fan of politics, fashion, Broadway, and Hollywood. Life's a stage, why not make it yours? There's also no such thing as "too many bows!"    

Bio: Headstrong and ambitious, Minerva “Minnie” Myshkin has been a workaholic since the day she was born. The eldest daughter of one of the founding Redwood Hollow families, Minnie has had the pressure of her family’s past, present, and future riding upon her shoulders. Often this pressure was the fuel to her fire, and it drove Minnie to be an overachiever in every aspect of her life. She excelled through the best schooling her family could pay for, took part in the visual and performing arts, and even competed in sports, specifically dance and tennis. Minnie graduated Valedictorian, and was able to go to her dream university. She did not, however, get to necessarily pursue what she wanted. Minnie fell in love with the world of Hollywood young. She loved the glitz and glamor of the red carpet. Fashion, acting, dancing, writing- she wanted to be a part of it all. Most especially, Minerva wanted to write and direct her own screenplay. A true dramatic, Minnie has had her E.G.O.T. (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) award speeches memorized since she was fourteen years old. The only problem?The Myshkins don’t “do” Hollywood. There’s no guaranteed success or wealth in pursuing it, and more importantly, it distracts from the family, and Redwood Hollow. She had a family name to grow and defend, and parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents over her shoulder at all times, seemingly planning her life for her, with the implicit demand to be impressed. So Minerva studied to go into her second greatest love: politics.It was not all bad- Minerva truly enjoys politics. It was not all bad. Minerva truly enjoys politics. She quickly excelled at her job as the mayor’s assistant, even if it bothers her that she knows she got the job because of her family. With that privilege in mind, she does her best to provide for the people of Redwood- and anyone she can. Despite her easily frustrated and often overwhelmed personality, Minnie is always looking to do all that she can to help others. She intends to work nonstop within the government to leave everywhere better than she found it. Minerva wants to build a world where everyone can follow their dreams. She just hopes that maybe along the way, she can achieve her own too. Minerva is quite the spitfire, full of passion and truly good natured, but she also has the flaws of the silver spoon. Minerva can be entitled, stubborn, and egocentric, and needs to be reminded of her privilege more often than she would care to admit. Minerva is a true blue friend, and will always stand up for justice. She is also often the most confident person in the room…..as long as she’s written a script. Minnie is outgoing and tries to get to know everyone. She’s a busy body and will not stop trying to get to know everyone, and get in all official down business. She will join any committee, and will insert herself into any discussion of film, politics, or fashion. Her upbringing to prioritize networking shows through and through. That said, it’s also a curse, as she can come off as fake when she genuinely wants to get to know someone-which is 9/10 out of ten. She is high strung, and unhappy with life, and that can often carry over into her relationships as her focus is divided, she’s frustrated and frazzled, or bummed out. Queue montage of trying on clothes, spending too much money, and some fun bonding. -Your muse has a crush on Minnie, she’s not picking up on it- or more, your muse might be able to tell she’s pretending not to. -Your muse is an online friend of Minnie’s and it’s been anonymous for years. You share your writings with each other and have talked about some pretty personal things, never putting together that you’re in the same town. When it comes up that you live in the same region, you’ve planned to meet up for the first time somewhere in Redwood. You are now sitting across from each other, realizing that the person you thought was a stranger, who knows everything about you, lives in your town, and maybe you’ve interacted.

-Your muse also dreams of hollywood, and you both have been working on a project together. You don’t have a solid idea of what exactly this project will be yet, but you‘re both hard at work creating the next great show/film together. Dramatic script readings and edits, all night sewing projects, and attending awkward improv acting classes will be worth it when you both become EGOT winners. -Your muse has been trying to get something across to Mayor B for months, and he just cannot fit you in. For the millionth time, you sit across from Minnie as she reads her HR response on why he can’t see you this minute again, and your muse is about to do what they want on their own without permission, so it’s probably best if Minnie helps.

-Your muse is a social climber who wants to stay in the good graces of higher society, or be closer with the Mayor. Your character is taking advantage of Minnie’s open heart to achieve these goals. Your muse is ruthless with this and manipulating her more and more-- or it started out that way, and now your muse actually kind of wants to be her friend. Up to you. -Minnie swiped right on a dating app and matched with your muse-- but your muse never responded. At first Minnie was bummed out and tried to let it go--but she can’t, so now she is asking.

Happiesttask001: Ella's Routine

6:00: Waking up to prepare breakfast for Deziree, Anastasia and Dandelion.

8:00 Getting Dandelion ready for kindergarten and she for work (cleaning up the uneaten plate of Anastasia because she is god knows where)

9:00-17:00 work at the bibbidi bobbidi boo boutique

18:00: Getting back to prepare dinner and fetching dandelion from the crèche.

20:00 prepping Dandelion for bed, and calling Sally to see how her day has been.

21:00 To bed she goes it was a long day after all.

OLLIE’S FAMILY TREE: pt. 2

Found family can be just as important, if not more important than a biological family. Describe your character’s found family, and what their found family means to them.

Morgan and Ollie, go together like peanut butter and jelly. Peanut butter and chocolate. Ollie has never once felt so comfortable around someone. Ollie has found that they can truly be who they want and need to be when with them. If Morgan wasn’t in OIlie’s life, frankly they don’t know what they would do without them. 

Elsa: @magicalelsaarendelle

Elsa was part of the first family to accept Ollie in Redwood. They wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for her kindness and generosity. Ollie knows they can go to Elsa for anything, and she would do what she could to help them. The support system they have with their rink family, is one that they will cherish until the end of days. 

Thomas: @omalleyy

Thomas is exactly what OIlie believes an older brother is like. They know they can go to them in the middle of the night when they are having a bad day. Or when they just want someone to be goofy with and eat cookies. Ollie has a hard time sometimes expressing how they feel when the bad days come around, but with the help of Thomas, they have found another way to express it through music. It’s a skill that they have yet to master, but they know Thomas would never leave them or let them down. 

Paulo: @paulo-pup

Paulo and PJ are what Ollie believes to be their forever family. Even if they don’t ‘join’ it legally. Ollie treats PJ like their own nephew, always there to take care of him when his father needs a break, ready to teach him all the fun things in life. Paulo, much like Thomas, is what Ollie considers to be an older brother type. Even being around Paulo’s family, they feel like they are at home. Though it sometimes isn’t the same as what they want, Paulo and PJ are sort of their forever home.

Maximillion and Billy: 

Max and Billy are the last set of foster parents that Ollie had. They are the couple that helped Ollie realize their gender identity and become who they are today. They helped in getting Ollie’s name legally changed, and are the one set of foster parents that still keep in contact with them. If it wasn’t for their support and love, Ollie is sure they wouldn’t be standing where they are today in Redwood. Though the two never adopted Ollie, they wished the two men had. Ollie dreamed that their forever home could have been with them, but fate had different plans in store.

Okay James can’t be more off from his disney side character than any of my other characters. Unlike the captain hook we all know and love James is far more complex. 

Youth wise James has been abused as a child by his mother, I made her pick out drowning as his death as a wink wink to the fact that he’s a captain, and a captain would go down with his ship.

Seeing that Hook had a bit of a feminine side I thought why not give him a sex worker background caused by his mother as well. 

The stabbing was my way of symbolizing him losing his hand, because i didn’t want James to actually lose his hand but I still wanted him to suffer. Seeing James wants to adopt Peter I decided to not make Peter the culprid.

James has Smee as a childhood friend who knows most of his past, where his “crew” doesn’t know what he went through and resents him for it. I made James have a gang as a teen to represent the crew he has on the ship. 

Like I said James wants to adopt Peter because he feels familiar with him - his life has been filled with abandoment and distrust for adults which James relates to heavily.

In a recent thread I used the words: He wanted Tina to bleed for him, to love him unconditionally and this was heavily inspired by the scene where Hook captures Tinkerbell. 

I still want James to one day be possesive enough to be considered a villain but the timing hasn’t been right so far.

Adam is a bit closer to the original though i did give some twists to him like with the witch in the beginning of the story. In the story she is just a stranger that curses him because of his greed. Instead I made him have a relationship with the witch who turned him into a “beast” by the harships she puts him through (aka abuse)

to me a beast is a man uncapable of being in control of his anger, someone who will break things with his fist when he gets angry.

Unfortunately I never got to act out Adam’s anger, and he already had been through therapy to cope with his feelings, together with having Mary at his side he was more the prince version of himself than the actual beast.

I was thinking of making Adam illiterate, but decided against it because he wouldn’t be able to bake or even own a café if he was.

He is rather sloppy when eating and always spills something on himself. this is a wink wink to the scene where Belle teaches him how to use a spoon correctly.

I like to think I made a gentler version of the beast with Adam. 

In terms of Belle, Adam has a weird fixation with her, like he’d known her all his life while that simply isn’t the case. He finds her a comfort when she is in his café and he certainly notices it when she is not there.

Adam’s favorite flower is red roses. 

Adam’s birthday is the 2th of january.

OLLIE MALO FAMILY TASK: Pt. 1

Describe your character’s biological family. Do they know their family? Were they raised by them?

Ollie has two biological older siblings, that they have never met. Their mother Raina Walt was never married and has children by different fathers and their father, Clifton Malo has no idea that Ollie exists. Ollie grew up in the foster care system. 

What was your character’s relationship like with their parents? Their siblings?

Ollie doesn’t have any kind of relationship with their birth parents. And they are unaware that they have older siblings. 

If they weren’t raised by their parents, who raised them? Do they consider the people that raised them to be their family? 

Ollie bounced between several different foster homes before finding themselves in Redwood. Their last foster home they were in, was the closest they would get to a family, though unconventional it was all they had. 

Found family can be just as important, if not more important than a biological family. Describe your character’s found family, and what their found family means to them.

Overall, how did the idea of family affect your character.

Ollie has dreamed of nothing but having a family their entire life. Wanting a mother to brush their hair in the morning, teach them how to manage their natural curls. To have an over protective father who didn’t want them to date until they were thirty, and even then it would be a stretch. To have siblings to go to when their parents were being difficult. Just a friend for when the nights got to be too much. Ollie above anything, wants something that is theirs. They want to be able to say: That’s my family and they love and want me.

Thinking about the future, do they want to make a family of their own? What would that look like to them?

Ollie would love to have a family of their own. A couple adopted kids, show a little sprout the love and care they had received as a wee one. Though, they wouldn’t let them bounce from home to home, they wouldn’t let them worry at night where the next bed they would sleep in would be. Ollie believes they could be a good parent, just needs the chance.

Mother: Raina Walt (FC: Rochelle Aytes)

Raina was young when she gave birth to her first child, Dmitri, his father unknown. A year later, little Mini was born, again by a man who the woman no longer remembers.  Raina was content with her life, raising two children on her own was hard, but she managed to do it.  Then, little Ollie came into the world. Caring for two kids was hard enough on Raina, so to now have a third under her charge, the woman was at a breaking point. So, she made a choice. Stealing away in the middle of the night, she left little Ollie infront of a church in Alaska, not wanting any sort of connection to Ollie or their father. Raina packed up her family and left. Without so much as a note to the babies father or any of her own family, Raina fled. Making a new different life for two of her kids in another place.

Father: Clifton Mallo (FC: Scott Foley)

Clifton Mallo is Ollie’s biological father. He is a high powered lawyer who fell in love with a woman from the wrong side of the tracks. He didn’t care that she already had children when they met, he was infatuated with her and the home she’d created for her kids. Clifton had his heart set on proposing. When the time came that he wanted to pop the question, he found his heart broken when she had vanished without so much of a goodbye. He’s spent years trying to find her and the kids, unaware that Ollie is out in the world.
