Can you recommend any philosophy? I've been trying to find some that isnt just old white men
yeah when i first got into philosophy this was my major gripe loool
philosophy is veeery personal though and i prefer the existentialists ♥ (simone my beloved) so a lot of my recs are going to be them! hope thats okay ;-;
general/favorites:
nausea/being and nothingness by jean-paul sartre
eichmann in jerusalem/on the origins of totalitarianism by hannah arendt
native son by richard wright. considered the forefather of black existentialism. King
memoirs of a dutiful daughter by simone de beauvoir
sickness unto death and either/or by soren kirkegaard
invisible man/juneteenth by ralph ellison
discourse on inequality and emile, or treatise on education by jean-jacques rousseau my problematic king
palace walk/the cairo triology by naguib mahfouz (he's considered one of the existentialists and this is the only books of his i feel i can truly recommend since theyre the ones ive read)
