I remember in Helix Waltz where Eliza (your/MC's) stepmom asked your name, then the game prompts you to input your chosen name. After confirming it Eliza would say "NO! Your name is now Magda."

And I was so surprised...like..I wasted 10 minutes of scrolling through baby names just for me to be stuck on the default name. Which—you know what—I don't mind. I was too surprised to care.

Helix Waltz 2: The Burning Roses CBT - Freddier CG Story

(MTL) Translation:

Kalia: Oh... Is this your taxidermy collection? Thank you for inviting me, Mr. Freddier. I see there are quite a few specimens of butterflies on the wall. They look very pretty!

Freddier: Despite the fact I was the one to send the invitation, you have yet to take your eyes off them.

K: It’s because they’re beautiful! The butterflies have their wings spread out, which seem to glow as if they’re breathing. They give the impression that they never died and will flap their wings at any moment to leave their glass box.

K: Did you do all of this? It’s remarkable! I didn’t expect you to have such a hobby...

F: In order to not tire of their long lives and lose their survival instinct, members of the Night Clan will find something to entertain themselves with. This is what I do to kill time. It’s fun to preserve life in such a way where it won’t fade with the passing of eons.

K: But Mr. Freddier, if I recall correctly, some of the butterflies here have long since disappeared... This purple crystal swallowtail went extinct a hundred years ago.

F: Indeed. At the time, humans recklessly began to take over the land, which made this species of butterfly lose its natural habitat and become extinct.

K: Thinking that these once beautiful creatures disappeared from the world for various reasons, as well as how the proof that they once existed can only be seen here... I can’t help but feel a little sad.

Thank you everyone for your patience! You can find a playlist of the accepted submissions here. In total, there are 1080. (Some of them are missing from the playlist but I don't know. which ones 😭 If you can't find one of your submissions please let me know, & otherwise I'll try to catch the missing ones when I'm adding videos to polls.)

Couple notes:

The video linked by the submitter for the Prelude theme from Final Fantasy is from an orchestral performance, not the games, so I'm using a different video for it. I just went for the one from the Final Fantasy soundtrack, but if the submitter would prefer a different instance of the theme, please let me know!

Break: Primrose, the Dancer from Octopath Traveler is a piano arrangement that doesn't seem to appear in-game, so it wasn't accepted (but Primrose, the Dancer was also submitted and was accepted).

The rest of the submissions I didn't accept were all pre-existing tracks or covers/remixes of them: Termination Shock from Just Shapes & Beats, Isolated from Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, Get It Together from Little Big Planet, Nuclear from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Focus from Super Hexagon, Sans Toi from Helix Waltz, Moon River (∞ Climax Mix) from Bayonetta 2, and Title3, Title1/Flip-Flap, & THUNDERDOME (Sector11) from Space Station 13.

There were a couple more that I wasn't going to accept, specifically video game tracks remixed in other games (as in, from unrelated series), but then I remembered Most of the submitted tracks from Super Smash Bros and kind of threw my hands up. So I'm bending my rules to allow those for consistency's sake. To be honest, if I ever do a season 2 of this, I'd probably just do away with the 'no pre-existing tracks' rule entirely but that would obviously be a while from now so. Focusing on getting through season 1 for now!

but basically the information:

who is alizath

this fucky landmass up north. the smidge of yellow at the bottom is galeré, the country paramour’s mess takes place in cuz SURPRISE… these share a universe pff

what is alizath?

a hot mess basically. the government is run by “courts” or factions (perhaps cults… at least one of them kinda is) and there’s a central parliament that’s supposed to be the voice of the common people. like. it barely is but we move.

anyway tho there’s the iron spring, the titanium summer, the brass autumn, and the steel winter.

we mainly focus on the brass autumn bc the “dad” of our mc kirsi, used to be the ruler of the brass autumn but then he was framed for killing a guy and was exiled.

the story? well basically kirsi is supposed to bring favor back to her family by attending socialite events so that her father can be allowed back into alizath. also so that they can stop being horribly poor (they aren’t terribly bad off cuz they’re getting help but it’s complicated).

the real plot however is found as kirsi starts getting close to people and it becomes very apparent that the iron spring wants to become a sole monarchy. power struggles, romance, death, chaos, war, and more ensue!

but some basic important to know characters:

kirsi: she’s the mc. she’s also adopted (does not know this), part of a prophecy (definitely doesn’t know this), and isn’t fully human (kirsi knows jack shit about anything basically)

jeanna sunniva: she’s kirsi’s aunt who helped raise her for the purposes her brother has. she is strict but very protective over kirsi and her life has been Rough

juven: current leader of the brass autumn in his father’s stead. he’s also one of kirsi’s love interests (end game ot3 situation). he’s too young to be shackled with this shit but yknow. he’s here now. also he wants to keep alizath out of the hands of the spring and would rather it turn more into a republic or smthn.

amarette: juven’s best friend and from the titanium summer. his mama hates him teehee. he, juven and kirsi are end game ot3. he just wants to be able to live his life how he wants.

greye: eldest daughter of the iron spring who hates her father and is uh…. plotting lmao.🧍‍♂️

lord flykrost: the leader of the steel winter and tbh the only one with a head on his fucking shoulders. he values his family more than anything and is ready to turn the steel winter into its own nation at the drop of a hat to protect his family and the citizens who live in his region. very chill dude but he used to be the head of the general alizathan army so idk don’t fuck with him

lady love: lord flykrost’s wife and she’s scarier than him. she did settle down and loves those loyal to her fiercely. she and jeanna used to be good friends but why hmmm 🤔

how did you get inspiration?

dude i used to love the app game helix waltz (it’s no longer a thing rip) and i wanted to make a story where i could romance my favorite character juven (i didn’t change juven’s first name but a lot about him otherwise has changed lol) sooooo this story got born out of that.

I'll be honest these are just old drawings from before helix waltz shuttled down (I think) I had so much plot for my fic that I have to scrap some and rewrite everything after Helix Waltz shut down.

For a year or so, I went through the stages of grief and complained to my friends that the dress-up game I used to play was no longer available, and another round of grief when my phone and laptop died on me, erasing everything I had drafted and screenshots of my girl- Magda, in all the dresses I had collected. 

Also, I procrastinate alot, and my lazy dumbass can't put the plot into the right words or something. 

Edit: I meant the EN server of helix waltz is down....I just feel like clarifying that...

Black Survival Game Server Shutdown on 8th December 2022

*sigh* this is a sad year, didn’t expect to see on my FB timeline, yet another one of my old-time favourite mobile games is gonna bite the dust just like Helix Waltz  (｡•́︿•̀｡)

If you don’t know what Black Survival ( or now called Immortal Soul : Black Survival after migration ) is, it’s basically a real-time survival game, where 10 players will battle against not only each other but also monsters lurking on the battleground. 

You can choose to explore, fight, place traps, eat, drink, find and craft items, as well as flee from battles - do whatever it takes to survive. The only win condition is to be last person standing alive.

The gameplay was really fun and chaotic, but kinda challenging as you need to learn recipes by heart and yes, areas on the island will get randomly closed off as time passes by. Luck also plays a big role here too.

Back then, I remember maining Chiara first, then alternating with Camilo for the lols. Still prefer Chiara though since I was kinda used to comfortably camping chilling at the Church back then to create my stuff from the get go.

The game does have it’s ups and downs over the past 7 years, but if anything, it is still quite a unique mobile game back then.

Anyway, to end things off, if you wanna say your goodbyes and play the game farewell, you still have until 8th December 2022 to do so. The devs are currently providing the players with freebies so that we can enjoy the full experience with all characters available till the end of the game.
