5+ Reasons to Consider Telemedicine Consultation for Better Healthcare
Telemedicine consultations, which provide a quick and easy substitute for in-person appointments, have revolutionized the healthcare sector in recent years. As a result of technological developments and an increasing focus on remote healthcare services, more individuals are turning to telemedicine for their medical requirements. Here are seven strong arguments for switching to telemedicine consultation if you’re still not sure if it’s the appropriate move for you:
Convenience: The unmatched convenience of telemedicine consultation is among its most important benefits. You may see medical specialists in the convenience of your own home rather than making appointments weeks in advance and sitting in long lines. With doctor tele consultation, you may consult a doctor whenever it’s convenient for you, whether you have a small illness or need continuing medical guidance.
Accessibility: For those who live in distant or underdeveloped locations, telemedicine consultation enhances access to healthcare services by removing geographical constraints. No matter where you live—in a busy metropolis or a rural village—you may get medical advice without having to go far. Those with mobility impairments or other transportation constraints will find this accessibility to be very helpful.
Cost-Effectiveness: When you account for childcare arrangements, time away from work, and transportation expenses, traditional medical appointments can get pricey. By lowering these related costs, telemedicine consultation can help you save money. Furthermore, telemedicine services are increasingly frequently covered by insurance policies, making it a cost-effective choice for people looking for high-quality medical treatment without going over budget.
Prompt Medical treatment: Telemedicine consultations can save lives in emergency cases requiring immediate medical treatment. By connecting with a healthcare expert in real-time, you may obtain prompt advice and treatment suggestions instead of having to wait days or weeks to visit a doctor. This promptness can have a big impact on how acute diseases are managed and complications are avoided.
Continuity of treatment: Regardless of your location or schedule, telemedicine consultations facilitate smooth continuity of treatment by keeping you in contact with your healthcare practitioner. You can simply contact your doctor for follow-up visits, prescription refills, or medical advice whether you’re on the go, whether it’s for business or pleasure. Better health outcomes are promoted in the long run by this continuity, which guarantees that your healthcare demands are regularly satisfied.
Privacy and Safety: As far as privacy is concerned, house call doctor and telemedicine consultation are a must. Privacy concerns take place when discussing private health issues. Patients and healthcare practitioners may communicate securely and in confidence via telemedicine consultations.
Preventative Care: Telemedicine consultations are essential for more than simply treating immediate medical problems; they are also vital for managing well-being and preventing illness. People may take charge of their health and wellness with the help of telemedicine, which offers a range of services including preventative screenings, dietary counseling, and mental health assistance. Telemedicine promotes an individualized strategy for health and prompts early action by allowing consistent contact with healthcare providers.
With the widespread adoption of digital transformation across sectors, telemedicine consultation has the potential to disrupt the way healthcare is provided and received completely. Telemedicine presents a convincing substitute for conventional in-person consultations because of its numerous advantages, such as accessibility, cost-effectiveness, convenience, and continuity of care. This is an adaptable and trustworthy way to get the medical advice you need, whether you’re dealing with a small illness or trying to manage a chronic disease.

Dr. & Mr. Vettel
Tumblr media
Sebastian Vettel x Fem!Reader
Warnings: mentions of hospitals, alcohol and the consumption of, Seb gives reader a mini heart attack by accident (not really), fluffy soft husband Seb, top level cheesiness.
Word Count: 2.3k
Author’s Note: I was dancing around my kitchen and here we are. -- I know the time logicals don’t really work but go with it.
---
The shift ended an hour ago, you were laying on the couch in the lounge as you clicked through the tv. It was just past 2 in the morning and you were so sleepy but you refused to go home to the empty house again.
“Dr. V?” One of the nurses, Sammy, called for you when he noticed you on the couch. “Why are you still here? Your shift was done..” he glances at his watch, “like an hour ago.”
“I know,” you yawn, sitting up to sip on the now cold coffee. Sammy sits next to you on the couch. “Is he away this weekend?” He asks.
Nodding, you glance at your phone that was on your lap; a photo of you and Sebastian in Germany last summer. He's holding you and your legs are wrapped around his waist as you both laughed at something his brother said to you before he took the picture.
“From Singapore straight to Japan.”
“Oh man,” Sammy sinks back into the couch. “That sucks big time, Dr. V.”
“Tell me about it,” you sigh, running a hand down your face.
“Do you want me to stay with you?” Sammy offers but you shook your head, “you should go home. I’m sure Johnny is waiting for you.” You smiled, patting his leg.
“You should go home too. I don’t think Mr. V would want you killing yourself here just ‘cause he’s not home.”
Sammy gets up and walks to his locker, gathering his stuff. You mirror his actions, “how are you getting home?” You ask him from your side of the lockers.
“Probably the bus,” Sammy answers.
“Nonsense, I’ll drive. Took Seb’s Aston this morning.”
You had started at one pm today, your shift was from one pm to one am. Usually you liked to be done by ten pm and start at ten am so you did the full 12 but with Seb’s race, you pushed your start time; much like the race.
Seb placed P8 and you were beyond happy for him. You wanted nothing more than to hug him and kiss him but alas, you settled for a FaceTime call on the way to work.
Sammy made small talk with you as you drove him home, he also gave you the rundown about the other doctors and the gossip floating around the hospital because everyone knows nurses have the best gossip.
Johnny, Sammy’s husband, was waiting at the door for him when you pulled into the driveway. You wind down the window, “Thanks for the ride.” Sammy smiles when he gets out.
“No problem, I'll see you on Tuesday ?”
“Of course.”
“Hey Dr. V! Nice ride,” Johnny smiles, walking down to meet Sammy halfway. “Thank you!” You shout back, “you kids have fun!” You smile.
“I’m older than you!” Sammy shouts to you as you pull out the driveway.
It was only a 10 minute drive to your place from Sammy's if you took the direct route but because you were avoiding going home, you took the longer route which was double the time.
Your car was pulled into the garage seeing that you took Seb’s to work so you pulled in, parking next to yours.
You sit in the car for a few minutes, checking your phone and seeing what you missed during your shift.
It wasn't much, a few messages from some friends talking about Seb’s race and catching up for some drinks. You ignored all of them and texted Sebastian, it was almost ten am for him with the time difference opposed to your near three am.
To Seb: How’s Japan ? Send pics! Also, give Mick a hug for me.
To Seb: Love you, both of you lmao
You finally get yourself out of the car, walking into the house through the garage door and locked it behind you. You made your way into the basement to change out of your scrubs, you stripped off and tossed them into the washing machine. There’s a basket of folded clothes you’ve been neglecting to bring upstairs so you dig through until you find something to wear, which happened to be Seb’s shirt, one of his old Red Bull ones that he can’t seem to get rid of.
Heading upstairs again, you walk straight to the kitchen. You were home alone so there was no rush to get dressed or shower, plus to be quite honest, you hated sleeping alone.
Sebastian insisted on getting a king sized bed, even though you two sleep in each other's sides the whole night.
Most nights when Seb was away, you tried to work double shifts but if you couldn't, you slept on the couch; less space means less chance of you missing him during the night.
There’s a bottle of wine in the fridge and you were off tomorrow so you pour yourself a glass, setting it on the counter as you head over to switch on the tv. You search through the menu, clicking on Spotify and letting whatever playlist you had running before play.
Humming to yourself, you go back to the kitchen and with the glass in hand, you search the freezer for the sweets you knew you had in there. The box was buried behind a few other things but you found it eventually.
The little box of lava cakes sat on the counter, you turned on the oven and waited for it to heat up. Setting one of them onto a pan, you leaned on the counter as you waited.
Occasionally sipping on your wine, your forearms on the counter as you scrolled through your phone. Your hip bounced from side to side, matching the beat of the song playing.
The music was loud, you thought you were home alone so there was no one to bother.
You had also come through the garage door when you came in, meaning you didn’t see the white sneakers by the door; your husband’s sneakers.
Sebastian had changed his flight after your call to him. You looked so sad on the phone despite your happy tone of voice. He knew you missed him and he missed you too.
He had come home, even if it was just for 2 days; he missed you too much not to see you.
When he didn’t see your car in the driveway, he assumed you were at work. It didn’t even occur to him to check the garage. He was exhausted because of the time zone changes and went straight to bed when he got in.
He just figured you’d find him in bed.
Instead, he woke to music being played and the smell of something chocolaty. Sebastian very quietly made his way downstairs to find you standing in one of his t-shirts, dancing along to the music as you drank.
He leaned on the wall, arms folded across his chest and he watched you. He didn’t dare say a thing to you.
You had your back turned to him, leaning down to check on the dessert in the oven. You had the half empty glass in your hand, reaching into the freezer to get the ice cream and when you turned around to set the ice cream on the counter, both the glass and the container fell from your hand.
Seb bit back a laugh, watching the horror on your face go to relief. “Sebastian what the fuck?!” You sigh, your hand on your chest.
“Hi honey.” He smiles, walking over to you and you shake your head, now rubbing your eyes.
“I’m sleep deprived and it has to be the wine.” You tell yourself, trying to convince yourself that your husband wasn't actually there.
You bend down to pick up the tub of ice cream and you feel a hand land on your ass with a smack. You stand up and Seb’s chest pressed to your back and he wraps an arm around your torso.
“I’m here,” he tells you, kissing your shoulder. You turn around, your hands coming up to rest on his cheeks. “You’re here.”
“I am.” Sebastian smiles, kissing the palm of your hand.
“I- what, how are you here? I thought you were in Japan.”
Seb turns you, your back hitting the counter before he lifts you onto it. He bends down to pick the broken glass and you nudge his butt with your foot, making him laugh. “I took a flight, obviously baby.” He answers your question, being difficult.
“Haha,” you roll your eyes, “no but seriously. Mick told me you were there when he called earlier.”
“You talk to Mick?” Seb asks, tossing the glass in the trash. You nod, “he just called to say hi because I texted him after the race.”
“You two text?”
“We do but that is soooo not the point right now, Sebastian.”
“You looked sad,” Seb tells you, “on the phone, so I came home. I mean you know, that’s so bad for the environment.. all the traveling.” He waves his finger around in a circle before he shrugs, “but my love for you comes first.”
His words tug on your heart, you looked sad so he came home. He’d put himself through 3 different time zones just so he could spend a day or two with you.
Sometimes it’s hard for you to believe that the fluffy blonde haired, shy, jokester of a boy turned into the incredibly remarkable man standing in front of you.
You never forget why you married Sebastian but days like today were a reminder.
“How’d I get so lucky?” You ask, your hand on his cheek when he steps closer to you.
“I wonder the same thing.. you know, how you got so lucky.” He says with a smile which makes you laugh.
“Such a dork,” you give him a nudge, sliding off the counter to get the cake out the oven and Seb cleans up the spilt wine for you. You set the pan on the stove to cool down for a moment.
“Oh,” Sebastian sighs, looking over at you. “I love this song.” The opening notes of Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli began to play.
“Our wedding song.” You hum, smiling at your husband.
The song became your wedding song by accident; the deejay lost the original set list you had given him and was winging it off what he could remember. You were trying not to send yourself into a panic attack so no one cared to mention to you that he wasn’t going to play the right song for your first dance.
Micheal took it upon himself to pick a song, stopping the deejay from looking for you because he thought it was better for you to not go to jail for murder on your wedding day.
He picked the first song that came to mind; also happened to be the same song you had danced to with Mick in their backyard earlier that summer. Mick had to be maybe 13 years old the year you and Sebastian got married, so Seb’s whole notion of you two texting wasn't weird at all because Mick was like a baby brother to you at this point.
That year was eventful besides the wedding, Sebastian won his third championship that year and you completed medical school.
“Dance with me,” Seb grabs your hand, spinning you around the kitchen.
You end up back in front of him, a hand on his shoulder and the other holding his free hand, Sebastian’s free hand rests on your back.
The two of you replicated the steps of your first dance perfectly, a little tradition you had for your anniversaries but today was just special for no reason in particular. When the song came to an end, Sebastian kissed you softly before letting you go.
You move away for a moment to get the cake and set the pan on the counter, you open the ice cream container and hand Seb a spoon. You hum, your craving for sweets satisfied by the cake.
“Wait,” you look over at him, “how long have you been home?”
“Got in around 10, figured you were at work and went to bed. I thought I'd surprise you in bed but you didn’t come upstairs.” He says between bites.
“Hm, sorry. I thought I was home alone.” You chuckled.
Seb smiles, reaching over to write away some of the chocolate from your face, “Happy anniversary,” he hums.
Your brows furrow, “our anniversary was in July.” You tell him, confused.
He nods, “I know, our wedding anniversary; but when did we start dating ?”
You think back, that was over 12 years ago. It was a long time to think back to be honest. Your parents were investors in Red Bull and you had joined them at a few races over the season in 2010. You met Sebastian in April and you two didn’t start seeing each other until August but only made things official in.. October.
“Seb,” you coo, “oh baby, you remembered?”
“How could I forget? You’re the woman of my dreams.” He smiles, a hand cupping your cheek.
“Even after I nearly had a heart attack just now and probably am in need of a shower?” You ask him, smiling at him.
Sebastian smiles, “The good and the bad, honey.”
“Good, I love you.” You tell him, your hand on his cheek before you kiss him. Sebastian’s tongue runs across his lips, “chocolate,” he hums, making you laugh.

ROUND 1 MASTERPOST
synopses and propaganda under the cut
Minuet in Hell
Synopsis
The twenty-first century has just begun, and Malebolgia is enjoying its status as the newest state in America. After his successful involvement with Scotland's devolution, Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart has been invited over to Malebolgia to offer some of his experiences and expertise.
There he encounters the charismatic Brigham Elisha Dashwood III, an evangelical statesman running for Governor who may not be quite as clean-cut and wholesome as he makes out. One of Dashwood's other roles in society is as patron of a new medical institute, concentrating on curing the ills of the human mind. One of the patients there interests the Brigadier — someone who claims he travels through space and time in something called a TARDIS.
Charley, however, has more than a few problems of her own. Amnesiac, she is working as a hostess at the local chapter of the Hell Fire Club, populated by local dignitaries who have summoned forth the demon Marchosias. And the leader of the Club? None other than Dashwood, who seems determined to achieve congressional power by the most malevolent means at his disposal...
Propaganda
this is objectively bad but i have also listened to it at least five times (october)
Loups-Garoux
Synopsis
Germany, 1589: the townspeople of Cologne, Germany pronounce a sentence of death on a mass-murderer who has stalked the countryside in the guise of a ferocious wolf.
Russia, 1812: retreating from Napoléon's invading forces, a merchant's daughter is rescued from bandits by a handsome partisan with a ravenous appetite.
Brazil, 2080: The Doctor and Turlough arrive for the Rio de Janeiro carnival.
Is wealthy heiress Ileana de Santos all that she seems? What sinister ailment afflicts her invalid son, tended by the mysterious Doctor Hayashi? And who exactly is Rosa, engaged on a secret quest to fulfil the destiny of her extinct tribe?
Time is running out for Rosa, Ileana and the Doctor, as the fearsome shadow of an ancient werewolf moves ever closer...
Propaganda
This story was in my notes with one sentence beside it, 'Turlough is proper jealous'. Take that as you will (anonymous)
The Chimes of Midnight
Synopsis
Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house not a creature was stirring...
But something must be stirring. Something hidden in the shadows. Something which kills the servants of an old Edwardian mansion in the most brutal and macabre manner possible. Exactly on the chiming of the hour, every hour, as the grandfather clock ticks on towards midnight.
Trapped and afraid, the Doctor and Charley are forced to play detective to murders with no motive, where the victims don't stay dead. Time is running out.
And time itself might well be the killer...
Propaganda
It just wouldn't be Christmas without it (anonymous)
"Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without one of Mrs. Baddeley's plum puddings." And Christmastime wouldn't be Christmastime if I don't re-listen to this audio story at least once each year. (@youremyonlyhope )
Seasons of Fear
Synopsis
On New Year's Eve, 1930, the Eighth Doctor lets Charley keep her appointment at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. But his unease at what he's done to time by saving her life soon turns into fear. Sebastian Grayle: immortal, obsessed, ruthless, has come to the city to meet the Time Lord. To the Doctor, he's a complete stranger, but to Grayle, the Doctor is an old enemy.
An enemy that, many years ago, he finally succeeded in killing. And this is his only chance to gloat.
The Doctor and Charley desperately search human history for the secret of Grayle's power and immortality. Their quest takes in four different time periods, the Hellfire Club, the court of Edward the Confessor, and the Time Vortex itself. And when the monsters arrive, the stakes are raised from the life of one Time Lord to the existence of all humanity.

The Time of the Daleks
Synopsis
The Doctor has always admired the work of William Shakespeare. So he is a little surprised that Charley doesn't hold the galaxy's greatest playwright in the same esteem. In fact, she's never heard of him.
Which the Doctor thinks is quite improbable.
General Mariah Learman, ruling Britain after the Eurowars, is one of Shakespeare's greatest admirers, and is convinced her time machine will enable her to see the plays' original performances.
Which the Doctor believes is extremely unlikely.
The Daleks just want to help. They want Learman to get her time machine working. They want Charley to appreciate the first-ever performance of Julius Caesar. They believe that Shakespeare is the greatest playwright ever to have existed and venerate his memory.
Which the Doctor knows is utterly impossible.

*Bilquis Sheik*
_Knights of the Kingdom Series_
🛐📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈 🛐
Meet Bilquis Sheik; certainly an interesting name but her story is much more extraordinary. Born in 1912 to a high profile and elite Muslim family in northern Pakistan, she lived as a Muslim for the early part of her life. She married General Khalid (former Pakistani Interior minister) and was involved in politics and social work.
Following abandonment by her husband, she moved to the Himalayan mountains where she began living in discontent and depression. It was in these times that she decided to learn more from the Qur'an. In her readings, she noticed Jesus was mentioned several times. Her driver gave her a Bible which she read diligently. This sparked a desire to know the Lord. She began to have visions in which she encountered Christ. Eventually, she met a Christian Doctor who told her to speak to God like a Father, for God wanted to show her that He is a loving Father. She had never seen God as a Father before. This intimate knowing led to her conversion in December 1966.
After her conversion, her family abandoned her, friends labelled her a heretic. There were many threats upon her life even to the extent of her house being set on fire. She had to move to the United States. There, she began preaching in churches and praying to God. Her testimony was a great example and beacon to many. She shared her testimony at a Billy Graham crusade in Singapore with many in attendance. Her testimony led many to Christ and encouraged people from other faiths to be bold about the truth.
Her autobiography is titled "I dared call Him Father."
Bilquis Sheik died in 1997 having lived as the Lord's witness. Bilquis's life teaches us to be ready to risk our all for Christ.
Famous Quote: I dared call Him Father.

? A_______ ?
This year, I worked through CNY. Many of my colleagues were surprised to see me working and displayed verbal dissatisfaction with the management for not allocating me PH on those days. I pretended to join them in their dissatisfaction. The fact was that I did not even submit any requests not to work on those days.
This CNY is the first that I did not participate in any house visitation or lohei. I was sleeping for night shift when my close family came to my house on CNY day 1 and they put in effort not to wake me up.
I was so happy that I didn't participate in any of the festivities. It's not like I particularly dislike CNY. I just generally dislike places that are noisy or have many people. I never understood the idea of having to buy new clothes and dress up to meet and talk to people that you normally see less than once a year. I don't see why we have to buy special zodiac themed decorations to paste on walls and doors every year. Even if the phases on the decorations mean well, does that mean people only wish for these things in the beginning of the year and not the rest of the year? By the way... I'm not trying to be hateful here, but I really do not believe that all the animals came together and took part in a competition i the past. Try to prove this to me.
I told my mother about how happy I was that I did not participate in the CNY festivities this year. She was not surprised and understood my point of view given that I had expressed similar thoughts previously. Although, last year, she was upset with me when I suggested that the animal competition was a scam. My mother asked me if I had called or messaged my grandparents to wish them a happy CNY and say my blessings. I told her I did not. In fact, this was not a thing that even occurred to me that I needed to do. This is what the A_______ community means by "it feels like I am in a play where everyone else has the script but me". People think that if you grow up in a culture, you will naturally know what to do and understand the beliefs held by your community and that these are not things that need to be taught. This is just tradition. But if anyone believes me, I am not trying to be stubborn/rebellious/stand out. For real, I do not see the purpose of majority of religions or festivals. If we already meet up with the people we are actually close to on a regular basis, why do we need a special day as a reason to see them again? Why don't we just meet and treat the people we are actually close to well without any need for special reasons or events but just purely because we want to out of the goodness of our hearts? I can't say it any better than what I saw somewhere on the internet that "tradition is just peer pressure from dead people".
In the first half of 2023, I went to ___ to get an assessment done. I was told that I do have some symptoms of A_____ but "it does not quite present like that" and the doctor fell short of diagnosing me. I knew from reading the thoughts of many on the internet that getting a diagnosis would not be easy especially when the diagnosing criteria was made based on the study of white, male, children patients. I thought that things would be different in Singapore. When I went for the appointment, I totally felt that the healthcare workers there did not believe me at all. They felt that I was exaggerating and that I had studied a lot about the condition before going to see them. As a healthcare worker myself, I cannot describe my disappointment. They gave me an open date appointment and told me that I could go back to see them if I still have issues. Sure, my sensitivity issues and difficulties with social interactions have not changed. I mean how could they change... But I probably would not ever choose to go back to them because they didn't even take me seriously. Frankly, I see similar traits in my two maternal uncles, leading me to believe that this is something in my genes as well.

CHAPTER 2 (Part 1):
Seira's parents, who moved to New York when she was six years old and her brother was twelve, passed away in a car accident last year, leaving her and her brother in severe grief. When she told her brother Kiyoto and his husband Damien she had Glioblastoma and that she didn't have much time left, both were shocked, heartbroken then went hysterical saying they along with their 5-year-old son Zevin wanted to come back to her from Singapore where her brother was working as the president of a famous law firm that he established six years back while Damien never really disclosed what his family business was but she knew that he was a president of a very famous company that was working in various fields. So after a lot of heated arguments between the siblings about Seira going back to SWORD, it was decided that after finishing their pending work along with Zevin's examinations the three of them would join her at the house which was on now outskirts of Durma Ikka territory right beside the ocean. The area was called Beach Line. The house was spread across a large portion of land with a huge pond right in the centre. The house accommodated about twelve bedrooms spread across the house with a huge kitchen facing the sea, a spacious garage and other facilities. Though the house from the outside was designed in the traditional way but from the inside it was a perfect blend of modern meets traditional. Seira's Grandpa wanted to mix both styles for his grandkids so that they would be comfortable visiting them. Seira was too emotionally attached to the house after all she was born and brought up here and had spent most of her childhood here with her grandparents and her brother. She contacted her Grandpa's old friend Koji-san whom the house was left in care of by her Grandpa after his death to open the house completely before she had come. She hadn't even contacted her own cousin who lived here because she had been getting the house set with the furniture she had gotten from New York and then she got occupied with the construction work of her new shop. She and her cousin only kept in contact through texts while Kiyoto and he would call once a month to check over each other. Because of Seira's busy profession, she had been detached from not only her cousin but most of her high school friends. She would get updates about her cousin from her brother from time to time and from the text she and him would exchange whenever possible.
Her brother was nevertheless still reluctant to let his little sister go. But after the heated argument between the two they agreed only on the note that Seira would never reveal her surname at least not until he arrived and had a weekly checkup by Demian's good friend and wife of his other good friend Dr Serizawa Leora who was the head neurologist doctor at JP Hospital which was the only large hospital in Toarushi district. Leora was the head of the neurology department and was familiar with Seira's disease. Seira asked about the surname thing only for Kiyoto to tell her that he would explain all of it when he joined her at the house so she agreed to it despite finding it very frustrating and fishy. When they had come to see her off Damien asked her to keep his number at the top of emergency contact because he knew Kiyoto would go into hysterical panic mode if Seira encountered any problem which she strongly agreed with and asked her to not hesitate in calling him if any trouble arises even if it's not a big one. He promised her that he and her brother as well as their son would join her at the house as soon as possible. Bidding them a warm goodbye Seira hopped on the airplane and left.
Seira, an exceptionally talented painter who held exhibitions all over the world under an anonymous name, had left her job and a very close friend behind with a vague note explaining her departure, packed her belongings and returned to Beach Line. Since she was a kid, her Grandpa taught her and her brother Kenjutsu. Even after moving to New York, Seira did not give up and continued her Kenjutsu training intending to become a professional. She even practised judo, karate, boxing, and gymnastics to improve her performance. However, after suffering a significant leg injury during her competition, Seira had no choice but to give up. When despair hovered over her, her brother gave her a canvas and paints and urged her to pour her feelings out on it because Seira tended to keep everything inside and cope with it quietly without asking for or allowing anybody to help her no matter how much it destroyed her inside. While undergoing treatment, Seira began drawing. That's where her mentor discovered her. The painting had him spellbound. The painting depicted a magnificent yet melancholy view of the ocean with a girl sitting by the coast. When he approached her and asked what the painting represented. She told him it was the place where she longed for.  The emotions she poured into the painting were reflecting on her. The strokes were a bit messy but they were beautiful in their own way. He was intrigued by her artwork when he asked her later if she was attending art classes. To his astonishment, she told him that it was her first time painting. He saw eminence potential in her. One thing led to another and her journey as a painter began.
Her Granny was the biggest influence in her life because of her love for flowers. Growing up, all she watched her grandmother do was arrange flowers and explain to her about their origin, meaning, and how to care for them, which led her to fall in love with flowers. In the back of her heart, she always wanted to have a small studio right next to the house, facing the ocean, where she could sell flowers to people who needed help expressing their emotions, just like her Granny did for people close to her. A small coffee shop in Oya High is where she first met Makio, who had just established an organization for orphanages in the SWORD district, while she was posting the pamphlets searching for full-time and part-time delivery people. They had formed a strong bond with each other. When she saw the pamphlets she told Seira that she has people she knows that would be perfect for the job. That's how Makio introduced her to two young sweet yet rowdy boys who had dropped out of school because of no money Shin and Kian readily agreed to deliver the flowers full-time. Both boys who had turned 20 and 19 were blood-related brothers who had been orphans since childhood and had grown out of the system which barely kept them alive. Both desperately needed jobs so they could get an apartment on rent, feed themselves and pay for their school fee. Hearing that Seira offered them not only part-time jobs but gave them rooms in her big house and told them that she would be paying for their schooling. She told them that no matter what happened going to school was necessary. Both Shin and Kian were extremely grateful to her and soon she became like an elder sister to the two.
Within a week of Shin and Kian's arrival, the construction began. When Shin and Kian told her that they were planning to go to Oya High she felt something struck her. As far as she remembered her cousin was going to the same school and when she had asked him how was his first day he was very sceptical about it and never openly talked about it. Seira asked them what and how the school was that they were planning to go they told her about it all. It wouldn't be a lie if Seira wasn't worried by how they explained it. But looking at their excitement she chose to not say anything but she did tell them to put her as their guardian for the school form and medical form.
When Seira was explaining her ideas for the studio to Masatora Seki who was introduced by the Koji-san himself who would be in charge of the construction she couldn't help but remember all the moments she cherished. After she was done explaining to Masatora and signed the contract for the construction she walked up to the garage where her Grandpa's beloved Black Harley Davidson Night Rod (2006-model) was. The motorcycle which she remembered her Grandpa loved to ride around the town with her and her brother when they came during holidays. Not only was the motorcycle there but the cycles that she and her brother rode were there and surprisingly in good condition only some necessary fixing was needed and it would be as good as new. Her heart was filled with emotions. Her Grandpa kept the cycles even when he could have just given them up to anyone who needed them but he chose to keep them. She vaguely remembered that while living with her Grandpa and Grandma around here, many men followed her Grandpa in and out of the house. The last time she saw them was during her Granpa's funeral. When she asked her parents about who they were after the funeral was done, they seemed visibly tense, and her brother too avoided talking about it. Seeing this, Seira, despite her curiosity, stopped asking them about it. After taking it out of the garage Seira was filled with warm memories. She asked Shin and Kian if they knew someone who could check the motorcycle out to which they told her there was and took the motorcycle to Yamato's garage to get all the checking and cleaning of the motorcycle done so that she would have access to travel to Toarushi for her weekly checkup and within the SWORD district at ease until her bike was shipped. While the two were away, she bought used good-condition scooters for Shin and Kian from a catalogue sent to her by Teruo-san, Koji-san's son who managed a secondhand vehicle store in Sannoh and personally delivered them within an hour without her travelling there. When the two returned, they were taken aback by seeing the scooters. They were so happy that they nearly knocked Seira down with their hug. Seira only handed them the keys on the condition that they only use them for work and not for wandering around when they went to school or for fighting. She also told them that she would gladly drop the two of them to school once her car was shipped which they agreed to happily. The two were fully aware of her concerns and didn't want her to worry either.
Seira entrusted the construction work to be supervised in her absence the two brothers visited all the orphanages in all the terrtories giving painting classes to the children and spending time with them. In no time she had become a favourite of the kids. Seira's illness was finally discovered by Makio, Shin, and Kian after she had a seizure and fainted while teaching kids painting at an orphanage near the border of Oya and Toarushi. While Makio was panicking calling Shin and Kian Seira's phone rang. It was Damien. Makio answered the phone and told him what had happened. He told her to rush to JP Hospital in Toarushi immediately. Upon reaching there Dr.Leora was waiting outside and immediately with her team rushed Seira to the ER. Shortly Shin and Kian came rushing. When Dr.Leora came out, the three of them asked her what was wrong with Seira. At first, she hesitated to tell them but Seira had already told her about them and what they meant to her. Because they were in close contact with her and episodes like this were going to be frequent she told them. When she told them that she had Glioblastoma in third grade and that Seira's days were numbered it felt like the three were hit head-on by a truck. When Seira regained her consciousness, Makio, Shin, and Kian cried rivers once again. Makio, Shin and Kian pleaded no, begged Seira to reconsider her decision and get treatment but she clearly had no intention of getting it. Seira told them that she wanted to walk towards her death without going through any treatment which she knew could give her only a couple of months and not a healthy life in the long run. Makio, Shin, and Kian were heartbroken after hearing her say that with her sweet smile. They respected her decision but that didn't mean they couldn't be extra attentive around her.

I’ve always had a strange attachment to League.
Growing up in a small town, there wasn’t much to do after school or on weekends. I didn’t really have close friends at school due to the language barrier. I was called the ‘kid from the English speaking family’ or the ‘kid with doctor parents’ so most of my classmates avoided me and seemed to treat me like a foreigner 🥲
My brother and I mostly spent time with one family who lived on the same road as us - let’s call them the L family. The L family were English speaking too as their parents had studied and worked in Singapore before moving to our town. The L family had one son and one daughter similar to our family, their son JR was around our age but their daughter JN was 8 years younger than me.
Due to the big age gap, I mostly chatted and played with my brother and JR. JR’s parents were quite liberal and open minded so they always bought gaming consoles for JR. My parents never bought us games as they thought it would affect our studies. So my brother and I would often go over to JR’s house to play games with him.
As expected, we ended up playing action and racing games most of the time. JR was the typical childish boy who thought girls would never be good at playing games. He would often tease and bully me when I lost at a game but that fuelled my desire to win more and more. I started wanting to play games at every opportunity I could get. I played flash games and downloaded free MMORPG games to play at home. I made many friends on those online games, friends that I confided in. The world seemed so much bigger through gaming, as I was able to talk to friends from Singapore, Indo, Vietnam, US and Canada. Sometimes, due to the time difference, I would log in very late at night or very early in the morning just to talk to my friends.
Eventually my gaming ability improved and I understood controls and objectives of new games easily. The first time I played a MOBA game was when JR taunted me to try DOTA. My brother and him were trying to bully me by 2v1-ing me but I got first blood and stomped them with my assassin hero. JR never let me play the game with him after that.
Somehow my brother managed to download DOTA on our home desktop and I remember playing AI games from time to time but I never got the chance to play with friends. I forgot about DOTA for 3 years after I moved to KL as we didn’t bring our desktop along.
When I first started school in KL in Standard 4, I was overjoyed that everyone spoke in fluent English. There was a group of girls who took an interest in me and invited me to join their ‘clique’ on the very first day. I was ecstatic as I never felt so loved and included in school before. I found comfort in my new friends so I moved away from my online games.
But the joy soon ended. I had to take an infamously hard entrance exam for my secondary school which was known to produce students with stellar academic results (at that time, now I hear the teaching standards there have dropped significantly). Surprisingly, I passed the exam.
Despite passing, I remember crying to my mum and begging her not to force me to leave my primary school which also offered secondary education. I really loved my friends there and knew it would be hard to find a new clique where everyone got along so well. Nevertheless, my mum insisted that I studied at the same school as my brother. And so I did.
During my first day in secondary school, I put on my best extroverted front to try and find a new group of friends I could feel at home with. I was excited to meet one girl - let’s call her X. We talked non-stop and sat next to each other. Our other classmates even thought we knew each other since primary school because we were so noisy. I felt hopeful. But sadly, it wasn’t long before I was backstabbed by X and left behind. X always tried her best to be seen as a ‘cool kid’ and did all she could to get close to the popular boys and girls in our form. She even spreaded rumours about me whenever she thought I would steal her popularity.
That was the first time I realised that humans were much more complex than they appeared. I don’t know if it was puberty or the inherent competitive nature of this bunch of students who passed the entrance exam, but these thirteen year old kids seemed to be so vicious. Throughout the year, I was always shifting from one friend group to another, never wanting to get too close to anyone. Eventually, I was seen as the ‘neutral party’, someone that was quiet and unbiased. People would confide in me when they needed someone to rant to and I learned about the rumours and ugly sides of everyone. I always offered my objective judgement of a situation or argument and I guess that brought comfort to those who confided in me.
Nevertheless, I survived the first year of secondary school but I was honestly at my limit with all the drama between girls. I just wanted to have a peaceful school life. Come second year, my ex joined my class and I was nominated as class monitor. He volunteered to be assistant monitor to get close to me. I remember asking him why he even got interested in me and he told me it was because I never seemed interested in gossiping and I was always cheerfully daydreaming in my own world. Yes, I guess that accurately described me.
There was a turning point in second year when my ex and some of my classmates started talking about League. It just launched during that time. I was surprised to hear that one girl in my class was also playing it and she asked me to play with her. So I downloaded it and tried my very first game. The feeling I got when I played it was like I was meeting an old friend. It felt natural, exhilarating and nostalgic. The characters were different from DOTA, but the map layout and the game objectives were largely the same. I was hooked immediately. The girl introduced me to some of the guy friends she played with and we had many hours of fun games together. Eventually, the girl played less and less. I was addicted by this time and kept playing with the group of guys. Honestly, it was so refreshing to not have to listen to girl drama and just focus on gaming everyday after school. I guess it was around this time that I realised I got along with guy friends much easier than girls. I just enjoyed the humour, banter, cursing and trolling so much.
But my ex didn’t enjoy it at all. We weren’t together at this point in time but we did talk a lot. He couldn’t stand that I would play games after school with guys, most of the guys being his close friends. He guilt tripped me about it everyday to the point that he would give me a death stare if I waved to one of his friends at school. Looking back, I can understand why he felt insecure but I still don’t agree with his method of intimidation. To be honest, I wasn’t ready for a relationship at that time and I just wanted to have fun gaming with a bunch of cool friends. I never had this experience of having an actual circle of people to play games with regularly until this point. It was like the manifestation of my childhood dream. The simple dream of a little girl who wanted to play games with companionship.
However, as I grew closer to my ex and became more reliant on him for emotional support, I slowly isolated myself from my friends and eventually League. League was always the pain point in our relationship, and it seemed inevitable that I would have to give it up at some point if I wanted him to be happy. Which I did, and it broke my heart to do so. To distance myself from all the friendships I had built up through the game.
Nevertheless, our relationship ran its course and despite all the sacrifices, it ended miserably. It was the kind of tragic first love people warned us about but yet nothing could have truly prepared us for the lasting emotional trauma it left behind.
So guess what I did when I was in my depression after the breakup? I played League. Alone, in solo queue. If that wasn’t enough evidence that I played the game solely for the experience and not to flirt with guys, then I don’t know what else could have proved it. I always doubted myself after everything he accused me of, if I was really someone who used gaming as an excuse to seek attention. But I’m not. I genuinely, wholeheartedly love gaming. And I love League. The memories I have of this game fill my heart to this day. It represents the crux of my secondary schooling days. Hours burnt and wasted over a useless game yet I wouldn’t change a thing if I could rewind time.
Those were the days when we could enjoy our free time without guilt.

Healthcare Services - In-Home Services
A relatively new type of practice is finding its way into health services across the country. In this doctor's clinic, wherever the patient is, home, hotel or office, the doctor's office goes there and treats the patient for all kinds of diseases like sprains or bronchitis. These types of home doctors, who visit patient sites, are on the rise. They charge between $250 and $ 450 for an appointment, and additional fees are charged for medications and other tests. However, patients who perform these in-home doctors' services are at their own expense, and a small number of PPOs can reimburse them for about 70 to one hundred percent of the fee.
Tumblr media
With the advancement of medical services, all you have to do is call and talk to your home doctor Singapore. After you notify the doctor of the situation, they will arrive at the location you specified, within an hour. With the increasing demand for primary care doctors, this is a preferred option for many people. Another major reason for the growing popularity of home care services is that the ambulatory care sector in hospitals is now filling up with relatively non-emergency cases.
Another branch of health service that is in high demand is home care services. There is an increasing demand for nursing home services due to the increase in aging population and the increase in cases related to long-term illness, terminal illness, acute illness, permanent disability, etc. About seven million Americans seek nursing home services. There is a large population of the elderly and it is estimated that these numbers will double within twenty years. You can choose a caregiver or a visiting nurse. These professionals support patients by providing comprehensive care, close to their home.
During an eight-hour shift, home nurses see nearly seven patients. They cater to a variety of needs, such as, helping new mothers with their new baby, helping seniors who are looking for non-medical and medical support services, helping children or adults recovering from illness or injury, helping people with disabilities, etc. Qualified and experienced nurses interested in starting a career as a clinic nurse can complete a certification course as well as the necessary training before starting their new career as a professional home care nurse.
With the increasing number of people requiring personal care and supervision, the Telemedicine Consultation is an area that is certain to exist for many years to come. In the current downtrend of the market, where finding a job is a very difficult task, the healthcare sector is one that is constantly hiring. The medical industry is an industry that provides noble jobs to many people, who ultimately achieve personal satisfaction, so that they can help those in need.

Singapore's Bronchitis Side Effects & Treatment
One in five persons will experience bronchitis or asthma at some point in their lifetime. It is a very widespread illness that affects the majority of developed nations. The condition known as bronchitis, which literally translates to "chest breathing," is an inflammation of the bronchi, which are the airways that connect your lungs to your mouth, throat, and nose.
To survive, we must all breathe, and in order to do so, our lungs must first clear our airways of obstructions. You may get checked out at Respiratory Medical Associates.
What dangers might bronchitis cause?
A form of respiratory illness called bronchitis can make breathing difficult and persist in the lungs for weeks or even months.
Infection with bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites leads to bronchitis. It can either be chronic asthma or acute asthma. Antibiotics like penicillin or cephalosporins can be used to treat a wide range of bacterial illnesses including strep throat or pneumonia. Antibiotics can be used to treat some viral infections like influenza, but this should only be done as a last resort because the virus will quickly reactivate after receiving antibiotic treatment. A broad-spectrum antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory drug are typically used in combination to treat bacterial infections in order to reduce lung inflammation.
Children's Bronchitis treatment Singapore
Treatment
Usually, bronchiolitis lasts for five days. The majority of children with bronchiolitis can be carefully monitored at home with strong attention. Be prepared for variations in breathing difficulties, such as struggling for each breath, being unable to speak or scream due to breathing difficulties, or producing snorting noises with each breath.
Antitoxins, which are used to treat contaminations brought on by bacteria, are ineffective against bronchiolitis because infections are the cause of illness. Your primary care doctor could recommend an antibiotic for the condition if you also have bacterial contaminations like pneumonia or an ear infection.
Bronchodilator drugs have not been proven to be consistently helpful and are frequently not used for bronchiolitis. In extreme circumstances, your PCP may decide to try a nebulized albuterol treatment to see if it helps.
Oral corticosteroid prescriptions and chest physiotherapy, which involves thumping on the chest to expel body fluid, have not been proven to be effective treatments for bronchiolitis and are not advised.
Clinic treatment
A small level of children can need care in a clinic to treat their ailment. In the hospital, a child may get humidified oxygen to maintain a sufficient blood oxygen level, and the patient may receive intravenously administered fluids to prevent dehydration. With extreme circumstances, a cylinder may be inserted into the child's windpipe to aid in relaxation.
Even while it might not be possible to shorten the course of your child's illness, you might be able to make your child more comfortable. Here are some suggestions to try:
moisten the air. A cool-fog humidifier or vaporizer can saturate the air and help to facilitate clog and hacking if the air in your child's room is dry. In order to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria, keep the humidifier clean.
Keep your child in good behavior. Most of the time breathing is easier while you're standing up.
Encourage your child to consume fluids. Give your child plenty of clear liquids to drink, such as water or juice, to prevent dehydration. Due to the obstruction, your child may drink more slowly than you would anticipate. Regularly provide little amounts of drink.
Keep a smoke-free environment. Smoke can worsen respiratory contamination symptoms. In the event that a family member smokes, ask them to do so outside the house and outside the car.

from Either/Or, Elif Batuman
All the Singaporean students, including Joanne, had the same scholarship: full tuition plus a stipend, in exchange for which they had to work for the Singaporean government for some number of years after graduation. Joanne cut her own hair, didn’t like expensive clothes or makeup, and used liquid castile soap as shampoo. She used the stipend to buy a carbon road bike and a laptop with a built-in CD-ROM: treating these items with a kind of respectful ruefulness that seemed to embody her general attitude toward what the Singaporeans called their “bond.” It was complicated, in Joanne’s case, by the fact that her parents could technically buy her out, because her mother was an American citizen: a piece of information that we all knew, even me, but that her parents had apparently never discussed with Joanne.
The most famous Singaporean at Harvard, Percival, was a vermilion-haired classics major who organized seasonal Eleusinian Mysteries where they did psychedelics and roasted a piglet. Most non-Singaporean people didn’t know that Percival was from Singapore. But he was often invoked by the other Singaporeans, as a symbol of what could happen because of your bond. In high school they had known him as a compliant, blazer-wearing math Olympian.
The Singaporean students’ arrangement struck me at first as somehow extreme and archaic. But the more I learned about everyone’s situation, the more it seemed that everyone had a “bond”; it was just less formal, and not legally enforced, and came from their parents and not a whole country. Riley had a full scholarship from the pharmaceutical company where her mother worked in marketing. Nobody else in her family had done particularly well in school, and Riley was the one who had to become a doctor.
It seemed related to the bond that Joanne volunteered ten hours a week teaching GED prep at an adult education program—the same one I had quit last year. Every weekday, she biked six miles to the housing project, returning in the same unruffled mood. When I asked her if the people there ever stressed her out, she just looked thoughtful and said, “Some of them can be a little bit tense.”
