Ok The Prisoner's Throne broke me, but you know what was the funniest part of the entire book?

Oak being the noisiest bitch in the entirety of Elfhame. That boy was always listening!

When he accidentally listened in to Jude and Cardan's private conversation in the prologue and in the end when Jude was with Cardan while he was recovering. LITERALLY EVERY TIME HYACINTHE AND TIERNAN WAS INTERACTING!!

No because he was INVESTED into Hyacinthe and Tiernan's relationship! Boy was carrying the entire fate of Elfhame and his relationship with Wren on his back for the whole book but damn him if he didn't give couple counseling to his otp any chance he would get! And he was always eavesdropping into their conversations!

The way Oak is balancing and trying to control both sides of the probable war, trying to stop Bogdana, getting Wren to trust him again and save her life (and hopefully not break the engagement), figuring out how to appease Jude and Cardan when he gets back to not start a war. All of that at the same time.

AND YET!

He's actively playing couples counselling and trying to get Hyacinthe and Tiernan back together! The entire farie world might go down in flames in a matter of days but by god if he's letting his otp sink!
