Hypno didn't want to change, he wanted to stay human, to remember who he really was.

He knew he should have been suspicious of the deal, it sounded too good to be true, all of that! But he was desperate.

A simple pocket watch, there to "turn back the clock" on his "inevitable" transformation... And for free...

Well, it wasn't really for free. The way it worked, the watch simply absorbed the magical energy that would otherwise be mutating him! And that energy would be the payment...

He laughed when he heard it. So did his benefactor. If only everything could be paid as easily as this, right?

He knew better than to ask why they wanted the magic.

And if it worked a little too well, enough to slightly dampen magical effects around him if he stayed in one place for too long... well, it was better for it to be too effective than not enough, as far as Hypno was concerned!

Hypno decided to turn around just for few minutes... and his knight-from-middle-ages neighbour built another castle already

accidentally 🤨?

Wels at the start of the season said that he'll take things slow,,,, but instead in a span of 11 episodes he built two bridges, whole bunch of walls, storage room, secret tunnel to his neighbour's storage room and an entire castle.

The HermitCrimes End of Season Crime Review

It's the end of another season of Hermitcraft, and an end to the noble duty of recording how much crime the hermits have committed in the past 2 years

Give or take a few hundred murders, it's not an exact science

So before I get hit over the head with a steel chair by a hermit posting any more videos and/or announcing that season 10 starts tomorrow (It's not. Probably.)

ways to dramatically log back in to hermitcraft after an extended hiatus:

the BdoubleO: spend a week screaming and falling into other hermits' videos to foreshadow your dramatic return

the Keralis: edit a clip from one of your last episodes of season two and then make it seem as if you walked through a nether portal four seasons in the future

the welsknight: snooze in your season six cathedral whilst cub and scar do a magical crystal double act to send cub back in time to retrieve you to the modern day

the ethoslab: get sent to naughty boy, late to the season exile to do hermitcraft catch-up sessions

the mumbo jumbo: log in to your adoring and crying fans rushing to welcome you home (grian and iskall)

the tangotek: bid a dramatic goodbye to the modded villagers that you coded, as they cry and line the way to the nether portal that will lead you back to hermitcraft (someone's gotta go build boombox, after all)

the Docm77: 5 minutes of getting put on blast irl by your wife about your new obsession with tomatoes, before the giant goat statue you built escapes Minecraft to possess you with the endless yearning for the mines, causing you to dramatically exchange hats

hi im back after reading most of the things and the skizz is a magic sponge gave me thoughts.

magical artifact that allows humans to shunt or drain magic out of their body to preserve their natural form so that they can ... idk be human. idk who would want to be human in this fantastic world BUT.

hypno being a human with this artifact or a prototype of it that has kept it secret somehow. maybe being a human that was swapped for a changeling fae (yknow the stories of fae stealing children and replacing it with their ugly offspring) who has somehow survived the fae courts and stayed human.

BONUS THOUGHT:

if hypno isn't a changeling then jevin being his human friend he came with that succumbed to magic and had a strange reaction where the magic literally seeped into his flesh and started liquifying it. so hypno's side quest is to find something to help jevin keep his meat on his bones.

I'm thrilled to bring this challenge to you all for the second year in a row! Hermit-a-Day May is a challenge inspired by Hermitober, but with a twist: instead of theme prompts, we focus on a specific Hermit every day!

THE RULES: 1. Any type of fanwork is welcome so long as it features, or is otherwise inspired by, the Hermit of the day. 2. Tag #hermitaday to have your fanwork reblogged, or submit it directly to the blog (Please note that while I recognize the value of fanworks involving more mature themes, and they can certainly count toward challenge completion if you're keeping track for yourself, content on this blog will be kept "PG-13" so that all may enjoy.). 3. Fanworks for one Hermit posted after the day rolls over to another Hermit's day (per the US Central time zone) will be reblogged in a big queue in June. 4. I am not interested in seeing captions or tags in which you disparage your art/skills. We're all improving all the time. Be kind to yourselves.

Today is for celebrating all of those who, while they may not be Hermits themselves, exist and entertain in proximity to them.
