hey guess who is actually and without exaggeration crying over ultrakill
#peridots-nonsense#ultrakill#ok so. i'm emotional right now. this has been stated. what also has been stated is the fact that this is my 2nd playthrough on a new device#first time i finished it was in november and while altars of apostasy does make me pretty sad that's about the limit to ultkill emotions.#it's really funny actually because i was so excited for heresy. i took longer to beat act 2 than i did the first time around cause i wanted#to improve on the levels (p-ranks and challenges and secrets. y'know. still haven't done 5-S yet though). so i had more time to anticipate#specifically. Gabe's rematch. i was THRILLED!!! i don't even know why!!!!! but i never stopped smiling the whole time i was fighting him!!!#it got so bad the first time i got to his second phase that i had to actually pause for the better part of a minute from stimming so hard!!#grinning like an idiot for five minutes straight!!! no fight or game has EVER made me feel that way before.#the hk collector is a fun fight for sure and i sometimes get happy going up against characters i like from any games. however#it fades as i get into the fight. it's never been nearly that grand. i was singing a lot too but sleeping family made it more of a whisper#i ended up spending 24 minutes on it with 58 restarts. and yet i was ECSTATIC the whole time. i can see what it felt like to him now lol#so. instantly on the verge of tears when i beat him. and when i got past the ending cutscene i broke. i love this game so so much...#idk. sure this could've been a text to my friends or something but i do not care you all will hear of this#cause this is the best thing ever actually. brb going to go tear up again though

Getting Things Done | Celtfather Monthly: December 2019
Greetings Gunn Runner
It’s hard to believe we’re entering the final month of the year. Where has the time gone? What will next year bring?
I suppose it is time to start planning for 2020. It’s time to settle on the next CDs. Time to review all that I have accomplished this year. And it’s time to decide what changes to make.
I don’t ever remember doing that when I was younger. I focused on creating. I never understood how important it was to truly review my successes and failures. I’ve been doing it for a decade or so. But I still felt like I was flying by the seat of my pants.
I am nearly done with the audiobook, Getting Things Done. I am trying to unlock all of the ideas and thoughts that are in my brain, get them down on paper, and figure out what I will do next.
What about you. What kind of future planning rituals do you do each year?
All right, let’s get on with the monthly news, starting with...
PODCASTS
The Pub Songs Podcast is doing pretty well staying on schedule. The new simplified format works for me. Hopefully, it works for you too.
I announced my new CD in November. I shared a cool way to vote, be it for the Celtic Top 20 or in general. And I encouraged listeners to remember success is best measured by how much you help others.
I have two episodes planned for December. Both have Christmas names. But I haven’t solidified the themes yet.
Stories from the Road is successfully coming out twice a week. I feel eventually I’m gonna get behind. That seems like a LOT of content. But so far, I’m ahead. And I have lots to talk about in the run up to the Selcouth Kickstarter.
Irish & Celtic Music Podcast is doing fantastic as usual. I have so much feedback. I did a two hour special to highlight all the feedback I missed over the past couple years.
I’m ending the Year of the Celtic Woman on that show. However, I decided I will not stop my quarterly Celtic women episodes. I feel that’s important. So it will be a regular part of the content that I release into the future.
The first episode of the Celtic Christmas Podcast is now online. And I put it into the hands of listeners as to whether there will be more than one.
That’s because I started a Patreon page for the podcast. You see, I’ve been losing money with the Celtic Christmas podcast for as long as it’s been running. And I was OK with that. It was sort of like my gift for the holiday.
The trouble is I spend a lot of time and mental effort to create and release episodes, especially in December. That takes me away from things that I should be doing. Ultimately, it was not a smart marketing move to run that podcast, even if it made me happy.
And so in comes patreon once again. I started a new fundraiser for the show to help pay for the production and my time producing the show. Patrons sponsored the first episode of the season. If we hit our next goal, then we will get either one or two more episodes this year. Depends on when or if the next milestone is hit.
There is a new episode of In the ‘Verse with Mikey Mason. We discuss themes from the episode, "Out of Gas". It has one of my new favorite songs to sing. That's a song called "Breathing".
The next one will tackle the episode "Ariel". We are also going to try to get back onto a monthly schedule. So this episode will come out on December 1.
8:04 - VIDEOS
Season 4 of Coffee with the Celtfather comes to close on December 11. The show did does not have a huge number of viewers. But it seems a favorite nevertheless. There's a steady stream of 15-20 people watching each week. So I’m going to run it for at least one more season, restarting in January.
The show will continue at 10:30 AM Eastern on Wednesday. However, It will be exclusively available on Facebook.
I tried a web service that allowed me to broadcast on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. I was hoping that would increase my reach, which would also mean more tips or more patrons signing up in the Gunn Runners Club. It didn't make an impact sadly, at least not enough to really justify paying $20 a month.
It was a good test nevertheless. I learned that Facebook is a good busking platform. And YouTube is probably better for video singles. So next season, I might try release one video every week or two and make them line up with the coffee show.
Oh! And Patreon Heroes get the full audio recordings of the coffee show. I also record a couple extra songs for that audio. I will continue to do that next season. But I’m not sure if anyone enjoys that. The feedback has been limited. So if you like it or if you don't bother listening, especially if you don't listen, let me know. That will help decide if I should keep it going.
10:05 - MERCH
Selcouth is the name of my next album. I’m planning a kickstarter for January.  The CD features my uniquely strange yet marvelous mode of music. You will enjoy many of the songs that I have played but not released over the past year.
There will be several Firefly songs, some traditional Irish songs and tunes, some comedic songs, some sci-fi and fantasy and cats, and some uniquely Marc Gunn songs. This is the mixed bag that I promised myself for a long time.
I will have more details coming on future podcasts and definitely in January.
I skipped the Black Friday sales this year. Even though I have a bunch of new products in my store at magerecords.com. I also have some great special offers. Visit my home page for details.
I also have THREE NEW SINGLES that you can look for in the days to come.
The first is the Brobdingnagian Bards' "The Last Jedi Drinking Song". That comes out on December 13. Just in time for the release of the last Star Wars episode.
The second is "Slainte Mhaith Christmas". Basically, I re-recorded my song "Slainte Mhaith" and gave it a Christmas twist when I realized it could easily work for that. I don't have a release date yet. But it'll be ASAP.
The last one was an even more last minute Christmas release. That is "Hero of Christmas". This is one of the songs that Mikey Mason and I wrote last year for our Blue Sun Holiday Tour. It's a parody of "Hero of Canton" all about Santa Claus. Again, I don't have a release date for that. I'm gonna aim for December 15th. But I should've released these two songs sooner. Oh well...
TRAVEL
I still have space for my Celtic Invasion of Venice. You can listen to the Celtic Invasion Vacations itinerary. To find out how amazing this trip will be. Email me if you have questions.

LEEDS UNITED 2 DERBY COUNTY 4 (Aggregate score: 3-4) Leeds United: Casilla, Ayling, Cooper, Berardi, Dallas, Hernandez, Shackleton, Phillips, Klich (Clarke 86), Harrison, Bamford (Brown 88). Subs not used: Peacock-Farrell, Jansson, Struijk, Gotts, Bogusz. As I expected, Leeds United failed to secure automatic promotion this season. We finished in third place - and after this crazy play-off semi final defeat by fat Frank's Derby, our season's over and we're going to be in the Championship for at least another year. We did seem to have a very realistic chance of going up to the Premiership for most of the 2018/19 season, but in a typically Leeds United manner, we blew it in spectacular fashion - twice.... As the season progressed I found that my silver membership card became increasingly useless when it came to purchasing tickets for home games. Ever since giving up my season ticket a few years ago I've generally been to at least one game per month, but by the second half of this season, tickets were already selling out before they became available to silver members and as I'm too much of a stubborn Yorkshireman to fork out £20 to upgrade to gold membership, I haven't managed to attend a game since our 4-0 demolition of West Brom in March - which was probably our best performance of the season. By then, with eleven games to go, it was a three horse race between Norwich City, Sheffield United and us for the two automatic promotion spots. We won our next two games - against Bristol City (1-0) and Reading (3-0) - which set things up nicely for a massive six pointer against Sheffield United at Elland Road. A win would have left us comfortably in second place with a five point lead over them, but that's not what happened.... In typical Bielsa style we dominated the game and created enough chances to win the game easily, but paid for our wastefulness by conceding the only goal of the game and slipped down into third. Pontus Jansson was injured and Kiko Casilla was sent off.... But then we immediately bounced back with a 3-2 win against Millwall (despite missing a penalty) while Sheffield United lost, so we climbed above them again. Jansson recovered in time to take part but Barry Douglas picked up a knock that ruled him out for the rest of the season, reducing our options at left back. The following week we lost against Birmingham and Sheffield United won their game, so they went back up to second. Our next game, a 2-0 away victory at Preston, was a significant milestone in that it ensured a top six finish - something we have failed to achieve every season since returning to the Championship in 2010. Norwich already looked to have the top spot sewn up, but Sheffield United drew their game so we edged ahead of them once again, by a single point. And then, a tense 1-0 victory against Sheffield Wednesday left us three points clear, after Sheffield United drew again. With only four games remaining, we also had a full squad to choose from, with the exception of Douglas. All we needed was a strong finish and automatic promotion could be ours.... The first of those four fixtures - at home against Wigan Athletic - looked like a very winnable game, especially after Wigan had a man sent off for deflecting a goal-bound shot off the line with his arm. Pablo Hernandez missed the penalty but Patrick Bamford put us 1-0 up a couple of minutes later, and with 70 minutes to go against a struggling team down to ten men, nobody was expecting our season to start falling apart. Wigan only had two shots on goal but somehow managed to score two goals. We dominated the game, spent most of it camped in their half and had 36 shots on goal but failed to score again. Sheffied United won their game and went back to second, level on points with us but with a superior goal difference. This was a real shock, from which we never really recovered.... We were terrible in our next game, away at Brentford, and were easily beaten 2-0 while Sheffield United won again. Gjanni Aioski suffered a serious injury, which left us with no recognised left back. We finally surrendered our chance of automatic promotion at home against Aston Villa - a largely turgid match enlivened by a few minutes of chaos and controversy in the second half. A strong challenge by Liam Cooper flattened Jonathan Kodjia and - having earlier put the ball out when a Leeds player was injured - the Aston Villa side appealed to the Leeds players to do the same, so that Kodjia could receive some treatment. The game slowed to a halt, but then Tyler Roberts played the ball down the left wing to Mateusz Klich, who cut inside and scored, which led to a nasty confrontation between him and two Aston Villa players. Within seconds, pretty much everybody on the pitch was involved in a massive brawl which resulted in Anwar El Ghazi being sent off for apparently hitting Patrick Bamford in the face, although replays showed that there was no actual contact.... Marcelo Bielsa chose this moment to add to his legend, by telling his playders to allow Villa to equalise to make up for what he considered to be poor sportsmanship. Leeds continued to push for the winner which would still have left us with a slender chance of automatic promotion, but we were unable to make the breakthrough and the game ended in a bizarre draw. Bamford subsequently received a two match ban for deceiving the referee. Our final fixture of the regular season - against bottom of the table Ipswich - was rendered meaningless by the three that preceeded it, and turned out to be another game in which we had much more possession and many more chances than the opposition but walked away with no points. Yet again we missed a penalty and were a shambles at the back. The score was level at 2-2 in the final minute, when a ridiculous mix-up between Luke Ayling and Kiko Casilla allowed Colin Quaner to tap the ball into an empty net. And so we stumbled into the play-offs, along with West Brom, Aston Villa and Derby County.... Derby finished in sixth place so our semi-final was against them. Although we'd already beaten them convincingly home and away, as well as humiliating Frank Lampard over "spygate", the scene was all set for him to have the last laugh. And with Bamford already unavailable for the first leg, there was more bad news on the injury front, with Roberts and Jansson both expected to miss our remaining games. As it turned out, we won the first leg at Pride Park fairly comfortably, courtesy of a great goal from Kemar Roofe. Roofe and Adam Forshaw both picked up fresh injuries, but all we had to do to get through to the final was not lose to Derby at home, which seemed perfectly doable. Our starting line-up was pretty far from being our strongest and it was mainly youngsters on the bench, but with a 1-0 lead and home advantage we were the clear favourites to win the tie. The atmosphere inside Elland Road was fantastic and Leeds had the edge over Derby for most of the first half. We got the breakthrough after 24 minutes, when Hernandez swung a fine free-kick into the box that rebounded off the far post and was converted by Stuart Dallas, who had one of his very best games for Leeds, despite playing out of position at left back. We looked very comfortable right up to the 45th minute, when all of a sudden our season began to fall apart for a second time.... Just before half time, another crazy mix-up at the back - this time between Cooper and Casilla - gifted Derby a goal out of nothing. Then, less than a minute after the restart Derby scored the goal that levelled the tie at 2-2 on aggregate. And the turnaround was complete after 58 minutes as Cooper compounded his earlier error by giving away a stupid penalty, and all of a sudden the tie was slipping away from us.... But Leeds responded strongly and had Derby under constant pressure for the next few minutes. Dallas soon levelled the aggregate score with a fine shot into the bottom corner. With plenty of time to score the winner and Leeds in control it looked like we could still get to Wembley, but then the pendulum swung against us once again when Gaetano Berardi was sent off. And with five minutes remaining Derby made us pay with what turned out to be the winner. Even then we didn't give up and managed to create a couple of decent chances in the remaining minutes, which would have swung the momentum back in our favour if one of them had gone in - especially as Derby also had a player sent off right at the end, which would have evened things up during extra time. If you're up against a decent team who outplay you then fair enough - but if you're in a winning position against fat Frank's Derby and throw it away by committing football suicide, it's hard to take, although it was par for the course based on Leeds United’s long history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.... On the other hand, if you'd have told me at the start of the season that Leeds would finish in third place (our highest league position since we were relegated from the Premiership in 2004) I wouldn't have believed it. Bielsa has exceeded expectations at a club that can only spend peanuts on transfers and wages by today's standards, with minimal additions to the team that finished in 15th place last season. I've witnessed some fantastic football and the transformation of the club from top to bottom is nothing short of amazing. If he stays, the 2019/20 season could be another rollercoaster ride, but if he goes I fully expect us to return to mid-table mediocrity....
