The fact these two don’t like their dads to the point they don’t even wanna be associated with them says a lot-
Sure we haven’t seen a lot about how lance is with his dad currently but  it’s the fact he was so pissed when being considered a fan to ban (even if he wasn’t called his son he still was beyond pissed) and we’ve seen the oneshot where ban puts lance down just for trying to help- like c’mon your son literally fights off intruders and yet you think he can’t help?? bffr now ban- and the fact even tristan admits lance gets mad when meliodas said that his teasing skills is like his dad
Tumblr media
Now tristan, he was so happy just to be compared to his mom and the fact somebody finally told him he doesn’t resemble his father which says a lot about their relationship- and even the new clip for grudge of edinburgh tells us a lot about meliodas and tristans relationship, he uses the ‘’you’re still a kid’’ manipulation tactic most parents use on their kids, treats tristan as if he’s a baby and isn’t even proud of him for taking on arthur solo the first time and literally took on the fushion monster ffs, he was more proud of lancelot and we already seen the expression on tristans face when he was cheering lance on, he was sad and that’s reasonable because c’mon- right in front of your son??

And i know definitely ban and meliodas are regretting their choices because bans son ran away and grew up away from him and meliodas has a son who has no respect for him, he wasn’t happy when meliodas was trying to help him, just full on pissed and his demons powers aren’t helping his anger against his father but it does help him show his true feelings towards meliodas
Tumblr media
Meliodas and ban needs to be better fathers if they want their sons to respect them
