actually isn't that so upsetting. how you know that there's certain pieces of media that you were able to connect with in a very special way just a few years ago but now you've grown and you've changed and you aren't the person anymore who saw themselves so wholly in that book so though the memory of that connection will always be there, you will never be able to love it in quite the same way that you did before

#i love solitaire so much. but im not the girl who felt compelled to read it 4 times in one year anymore #and overall thats a GOOD thing like oh my god. i was a wreck at 15. and my being a wreck is what made me love it #but sometimes........ i miss the feeling i got when opening that book #it's not like i don't love it anymore i do. but it's different now. it's not like looking in a mirror anymore #it's like seeing my past self. which is nice in its own way. but sometimes id like to feel the way i did before #personal #...is this how people feel after amicable divorces?
