i've been using my cane for almost two years on a near daily basis and i JUST switched out the tip and

the new tip versus the old tip. i'm not sure how clear it is but, YEAH, there's like. half a millimeter of tread left on the old tip, if that
the replacement was LITERALLY 2 dollars. i bought two to justify the four dollar shipping but. TWO BUCKS.
i had noticed that i was having slipping issues on linoleum recently, but i did not realize how bad the issue had gotten until the new tips came so. PLEASE check your cane treads and if they're notably worn out PLEASE get yourself a new tip they're SO cheap and the grip i get on the new one is INSANE
Well anyways its not "I can fix him" or "I can make him worse"
Its about taking someone who is in a bad place and giving them all the love you wish you had gotten when you were in a bad place yourself. To give someone the opportunity to heal and grow because you understand how painfull it is to go through it alone. Maybe even to heal together..
Because if the big scary killer robot deserves your love then you deserve it too
Zionism is not evil, it is not responsible for any sins in this world, and it is certainly not a modern invention. It is the fucking foundational premise of my religion, and it has existed before your shitty country, before my shitty country, and it will continue to exist long after every one of us are dead and gone.
btw “among thousands of comrades and tens of thousands of enemies… you’re the only one who made me forget my dream” is still the most gut wrenching love confession in anything ever
Can I mention the brilliance the RF Kuang did with Robin Swift’s name? No, not “Robin Swift,” but his original one.
We’ll never know what his original name was. I was waiting, all 500+ pages, and on the last one with Robin’s POV, we get nothing.
But he gets his name back. After all his suffering, I’m inclined to believe that he deserves it.
way too lazy to draw anything for the series rn but im so preoccupied w the thought that grian "light of the server" dreamslayer helped bring the warden (a mob that inflicts you with blindness, turning the whole world dark) to the surface for his task. crazy shit
leverage is so deeply fun as a show because sometimes they just break into places to steal back physical items and money and SOMETIMES they straight up psychologically torture the mark and make them think they've been contacted by aliens that now want to abduct them, or convince them they're dying of cadmium poisoning or fake a whole dreamscape to get them to reflect on their fucked up actions
I think the part that feels the worst about the outpouring of hatred in response to the Israel/Palestine conflict is that... like... my country is responsible for genocide! I do live on colonized, stolen land! My money does go towards the mass killing of innocent Arabs!
... my country of course being America. Like, even just counting deaths due to being directly shot by US soldiers and planes, over 450,000 civilians died since 9/11. My house is literally built on unceded tribal land, of which so many of the indigenous inhabitants have been killed in a genocide that their entire culture group would not be able to fill my local neighborhood if they were allowed to return.
I don't want to downplay the level of humanitarian crisis going on in Gaza right now, but I have received dozens of death threats for being Jewish, and 0 for being American. I'm beginning to think it has more to do with hating Jews, and a lot less to do with defending civilians.
it's always so funny to me when people are like "how can you ship griffguts after all that griffith has done to guts???" like idk man, take it up with canon. ask guts why he keeps salivating over griffith's bare ass after all that griffith has done to him
As much as there are problems in this season, this particular ancient memory struck me.
We've never seen this many mantas before. The only place that came close to this size is the herd in sanctuary islands, and they are no where near the amount in this memory.
We know that in the past, the manta juicing thing was real and mantas were killed or transformed for their light. I don't know if the civilization has made an effort to keep the manta numbers populated, but since I've never seen such a huge herd before, I figure they didn't.
It made me wonder what the sky world was like before the dark stones. How flocks of mantas like this were common and they would fly over you like a wave in the ocean. How they chirpped at each other and soar across the skies as you look on with wonder, before they were snatched from their homes and stripped of their life to fuel machines for the kingdom.
Their numbers dwindled, and now there's only a handful left that survived. And when the kingdom fell, they were free to fly the skies again, letting the past go and growing from the pain.
