just to be clear i know that probably the big majority of the fandom would profoundly hate it if oda one day woke up and decided that ace has been alive all along but I would absolutely not be part of that majority. oda could drop him in the manga right now alive and well with absolutely no explanation whatsoever and I'd just be like thank you god is real. what do you mean stakes and irreversible choices and unacceptable deus ex machina don't you know that there comes a point where my heart takes precedence over everything else
