2023 Character Wrap
Top 9 characters for the year.
1.) Major Anthony P. Havers-BBC Ghosts
aka my soft boy.
(Surprise the self-proclaimed Havers lunatic loves Havers 😉) Just know this man stole my heart in 2021 in under 4 minutes (the microexpressions fml) and this year it was my highlight to see him again. He's kind, protects the man he loves from ridicule, has a boyish grin and a cheeky streak. He likes dancing. He fell for his beau because he was attracted to his kindness. He's been through it and continues to go through it 😢Also PSC answered my question about him and I'm still screaming about it to this day🥺💖
2. The Captain -BBC Ghosts
aka my creaky boy.
He is silly, kind, gay and autistic, a dad, sometimes bitchy and one of my most beloved characters ever. Also so gorgeous and a little bit pathetic. I adore him with all my heart and soul. Blorbo from my shows.
3. Thraxus Boorman -Willow 2022
Sarcastic, great fighter, loyal, kind but he'll jump of cliffs to deny that (literally), the funniest character of 2023 and an absolute iconic bi disaster. He's a classic rogue, as is his absolute badass girlfriend.
4.) Joe Pritchard -The light in the hall
aka Joe, babes
Such a brilliant character, somehow really dark and mysterious but ultimate kicked puppy vibes. He'll keep you (and himself) guessing until the end if he really killed someone. He has amnesia due to traums. I really wasn't sure until the end if he did it or not. Amazing character. My Boy needs 1 million hugs.
5.) Graydon Hastur-Willow 2022
aka Graydon, babes aka Prince of darkness
A prince who loves learning esp. languages, very, very dark past, kind, loving, just some guy in love, easily corrupted but he's fighting it. and as it turns out he has a gift for magic. The sweetest love confession ever.
6. Barbara Parker/Sophie Straw-Funny woman
Gorgeous, hilariously funny, smart, sweet, standing up for what she believes in and makes her way in an industry that only treasures her because of her looks. But she makes them see how brilliant her brain is.
7. Sir Humphrey Bone -BBC Ghosts
aka Humphrey my goldhaas
Awkward, kind and odd. He deserves all the love in the world and to be seen and loved for who he is. This year he's getting revenge on those who ignore/mistreat him and I am here for it. Boy is not the best listener though.
8. Lord Adam Quinn -A kind of spark
aka my pretty evil princess
He is legit evil okay. But idgaf. Great villain and his modern day equivalent makes me weak in the knees. Portrayal wise he is also a small amount of ridiculous and I love that.
9. Robin the caveman - BBC ghosts
aka my chaos gremlin
Kind, wise, chaotic little gremlin also sometimes more the family dog than anything else. Loves space. Utterly hilarious and tragic at the same time. His worst trait is incest according to him. I love him so much I'm gonna get a tattoo that's just about him.
To be fair I have a plethora of beloved characters that rotate in my brain 24/7 but these nine were either new or in special focus this year. Ghosts hyperfixation is at it's absolute peak, I was barely able to watch anything else. Also I watched some things that didn't leave me with a favourite character 🤷🏻♀️However honourable mention has to be Allan from Barbie.

okay so it’s not my business and i guess i get it for newcomers to this site to see a name and assume it’s the actual celebrity but it always makes me laugh when i see those types of asks 🤣 anyways
hello again winnie! so about universal studios yes it is a theme park but it has backlots and sets where shows are filmed so it has two types of tours. one comes with the park (the studio tour) where it takes you around the backlot and you see different sets where movies were filmed like back to the future and it doubles as two rides with king kong and fast&furious. one of the best things about the park tbh. the one that costs extra is the vip tour and they walk you around the park and take you to warehouses where set pieces are kept and you don’t have to wait in the lines as much. if you ever go i’d recommend going during halloween just because they do extra but either way the food is good and makes it worth the price. i used to work there and i may have access to some leftover tickets if you’re interested!

i try to listen to a bit of everything but mainly r&b and pop. i like rock music and i’ve been getting into classical too. it makes nice background noise when i’m making edits.

I've always wonder what it's like to work in a theme park, I've seen so many people working over at Disneyland during the summers in uni. But I just didn't think I'm right for the job, can't stand the heat/ sun and generally not a cheery person. But people seems to have lots of fun. Just wondering though, do your tickets have expiry dates 😅
Omg now that you're on s3, can we talk about the s2 finale?!!!!! It always had me in tears 😭😭😭😭 they could've been together right then & there. I mean I get it, they're kinda the main couple, so the writers had to drag out their relationship for multiple seasons to come. But still talk about bad timing 😵💫😵💫😵💫 also, s2 is probably one of my fav, especially the 2 episodes case tick tick tick & boom 😍 there're gonna be some iconic scenes in s3, not gonna spoil it for you.
Do I like aos more than castle?! I don't think so. I just happened to be obsessing with AoS when I started giffing and I guess I got too comfortable, like I know the scenes, which ones work well with each other etc. Castle will always have a special place in my heart, and Kate Beckett is my first on screen idol, like nothing will quite live up to your first love. But aos did come close. Personally I was already really interested in this kind of black ops operation in the marvel movies and wished they had more screen time, and marvel turning it into a TV show is basically a dream come true. I just love Melinda May since ep 1, and has been relating to her since ep 2, and I don't think I've ever related to a character this much. Like female badasses are often written as cold and closed off with the excuse of a traumatic experience, and there's little depths to their characters, either because it's a movie or a series that didn't survive long enough for character devInnelopment. But with May, sure the tropes applied, but even early on you can see that she has a heart and that she cares very deeply. And that she smiles and play jokes secretly. Her whole quiet, stoic personality wasn't necessarily the outcome of the trauma, but more so just who she is, and it just felt very natural and genuine to me and I relate soooo much, and I guess her being Chinese helped with that too. Like it was from that moment I understand how important diversity and representation are to so many people.
This got kinda long, but you got me into talking about castle & aos so it's bound to happen. I would highly recommend aos if you like sci-fi & marvel. They had more tie-ins with the movies in s1-s3, but honestly the show got better when they kinda diverged from it and did their own thing. The writing is pretty mind blowing, and the fight scenes & cgi got better each season. It's ridiculous the amount of stuff they did in the timeframe they had. My personal favs are s1 & s4, s1 mostly for nostalgia and it was the world/ characters building season, s4 (maybe ep 9 forward) was simply phenomenal. S5 was mind blowing you'll probably have to watch it twice to understand everything 😅
Harp is such a beautiful instrument, but it's like huge and expensive. Where I live, very few people's apartments are big enough to store that. So it's a very rich people kind of instrument to us. And I have only listened to it in a handful of occasions. But I know more kids are learning it these days, because apparently piano is too basic 😒 The only recitals I've done are in competitions and exams and idk if it counts, and those are really stressful. But I do enjoy playing the piano in front of (non-judgy) friends & families where we just basically chill, usually people I play in front of know how to play it too so they wouldn't care if there's a slip or it's not perfect etc. It's more so sharing what pieces we were playing at the moment.
I would say violin could be way more complicated, but idk how it compares to playing the flute because I know it is hard to play the flute well too. But I think it wouldn't hurt to take some lessons and see if you like it or not.
I'm not really into sports, but I do like swimming and it's pretty much the only thing I did as a kid. I just love being in the water, it's so calming & cooling. Just the pools though, preferably indoors, the beach really isn't for me. I've always wanted to learn Kung Fu was a kid, like I can feel it in my blood, but my parents only made my younger brother who doesn't want to learn it to go to taekwondo lessons, and don't allow me to go. As a kid, I thought because it's not ladylike, but I found out years and years later it's because my parents saw that I was so good at it and I often fight with my brother (because he's an a**hole as a kid) and there's pretty much no fighting chance for my brother, so my parents wanted to equip him with some fighting skills. But jokes on them, he hates it and drops it after a couple lessons and I kinda resented them for that. It wasn't until in my early 20s that my dad suggested we take some lessons from a Thai boxing coach that his colleagues recommended, because I gained quite some weight after my weight loss rebound. My whole family went for the first couple of lessons, and the coach straight up asked if I have learnt wing chun (another type of Kung Fu) before because I punch like that style, and I said no I've never had any lessons, then I turned to my mum and said now you see how you've wasted a Kung Fu talent (kidding not kidding). I need to work on my cardio but I would say my instincts are pretty good, even more so as a kid, it got "duller" overtime because I often being called "over reactive" to stimuli (like getting hit/ touch accidentally by people/ objects).
I'm more of a TV show kind of person, especially those 20+ eps per season like how it used to be. There's more room for character development and more things for me to obsess over. Good movies are like a nice treat, but I watched it and moved on. Some of my favourite series are hp, Narnia, marvel, basically the ones I grew up with.
Favourite foods: Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Italian, French (mostly pastries & desserts)
We don't do much for Christmas but I've always loved my mum's gingerbreads. I used to look forward to Starbuck's peppermint mocha, but it has kinda been discontinued here for years. I actually went to a Starbucks while travelling in the states just to get peppermint mocha 🤣 I do love peppermint, in tea, sweets, chocolate, etc.
The bigger holiday we celebrate is actually Chinese new year a month later. My mum always makes all these traditional foods and snacks and they're so delicious, store bought ones, even the fanciest ones can't compare (especially the first 2 pics). It's like a lot of work. I'll just put in some pics for you in case you have no idea what I'm talking about 😅
And then there're ones that we just buy from the store.
Basically a lot of fried food 😅
I always say I don't talk much, but when asked the right questions I blab on and on about it, hope you don't mind.

i would say my ultimate blorbo of 2022 would be aliison hargreeves because i finally got into the umbrella academy this year, and even though her actions and behaviour were certainly questionable this season and the viktor & allison relationship breakdown broke my heart, i felt for her pain and still love her unconditionally ;-;
max mayfield and lucas sinclair was a huge highlight for stranger things 4 this year for me, they both finally got the time to shine and wasn't it lovely how absolutely nothing bad happened to them and they got their happy ending and got to go on their movie date, the end. !!!!!!!!
i also fell in love with eloise bridgerton & kate sharma this year <3
iris west-allen, buffy summers, prue halliwell, amy santiago, jennifer jareau, spencer reid, rachel roth & daisy johnson are also huge ultimate favourites and top contenders for blorboship asdfghjkl

The reason we choose the cube packaging is because the shape of our string twine product is closer to the sphere, it can occupy more space in the square box, and minimise the waste of the inner space of the box. Secondly, because during the transportation process, the cube can bear the load better because its structure is symmetrical from all directions. Also, during the packing process, the square packing can save more space so the quantity of products to be transported is higher. This also means that when it is placed on the shelf in stores, it can be placed in more quantities than other shaped packaging, and has a better chance of being noticed by consumers.

Packaging Material:
In terms of material, we choose paper packaging because it is a sustainable degradable and recyclable material. Since it is a very common packaging material, the price is cheap, the cost of producing the packaging is low, and it is also convenient for designers to process and modify its appearance ( easily be used to print a logo, image, or marketing message). The paper box is sturdy and lightweight, perfect for shipping and people taking home or store. It is also a stable and safe material that is not dangerous due to everyday external factors.
We also did some research on the material of the paper.
Kraft is a sturdier, more eco-friendly paper because it has few chemical processing, but the lack of processing also reduces the paper’s ability to enable quality print, often “dulling” the colours.
Solid Bleached Board (SBS) is a paper board that enables the highest quality print, but it is the most expensive paperboard as well. It is white and odourless; it can also do embossing and hot stamping.
Clay coated board (CCNB or CRB) is made from primarily recycled materials, it has white surface for printing and grey surface on the other side. It provides quality print, but not at the premium and sharpness levels that SBS enables. It is a viable eco-conscious alternative to kraft, and a more economical option.
We prefer to go for CRB material as we don’t want to because we don't want the colour of the design to be biassed, and we also hope that the cost is not too high. One side of this material is white that is suitable for printing, and I think in the case where we have multiple characters and colour replacements, the white base colour allows us to reduce printing costs and be more flexible.

Target Market:
Our target market is younger people and students who spend more time at home and are likely doing handwork as their habit. There are not many string products on the market that meet the young consumer group. In today's increasingly younger consumer market, rejuvenated products are a popular trend. Our products are aesthetically younger in design, adopt cute character designs and colourful colour palette, with interactive designs on packaging, allowing consumers to have more fun and open up the market for young people. At the same time, our string products are affordable products, and we do not use extremely complicated and special designs on the packaging, in order to meet the financial strength of our consumer groups.
