hey, happy 300! for the event, how about luck voltia + C7. “You want to know why I kissed you? Because you’re special to me.”?
Hello hello there Anon! Thank you for the request! Sorry for the wait but here it is now~!
Summary: Luck kissed you during a game of Truth or Dare. And though it was a dare, a happy little truth comes out of it. Genre: romance, fluff Word count: ~750
..........
“Truth or dare?” Magna asked while pointing to Luck.
“Oh dare!”
“Shoulda guessed… Okay then! I dare you to…” Magna looked around the circle of people gathered for the, admittedly childish, game that you and the other Bulls were playing. “Kiss someone in this circle. Doesn’t matter wh—”
Without Magna even finishing, Luck turned to you, sitting directly to his right, and grinned in his usual manner.
“You’re going to be the one I kiss, okay?” It sounded more like a statement than a question.
…..
You frowned at the memory of a fleeting peck on the lips that you’d likely never experience again.
It wasn’t that you disliked Luck that made the moment unpleasant. In fact, it was your affection for him that made the memory unbearable because… He probably only kissed you out of convenience. And he’d never kiss you again.
You grabbed your pillow and shoved it onto your face.
“Aaaauuugggh! Stupid!” you screamed into the pillow and writhed on your mattress. “Why’d it have to be someone as oblivious and romance blind as—! Ugh!”
You let yourself fall limp. What was the point of complaining about it? It was done. The sooner you stopped thinking about it—
“Heeeey! I heard suffo—”
“Gyaaaaaah!” On instinct, you shot up and threw your pillow at the intruder.
Before the projectile could hit its target, a hand donned in lightning armor caught the pillow and crushed it. Downy feathers exploded into the air and fell like snow around the room.
“Oh good, you aren’t dead!” Luck exclaimed with a grin.
“Loo-La-Luck?! Why are you here?!” you sputtered and scrambled to your feet.
“Like I said, I thought I heard you being suffocated,” Luck answered point blank. “Can’t let you die after all.”
Your heart twisted. His tone was so carefree but the implication of him being worried for you…
No! He’s just worried about a friend. A co-worker! Nothing more! You crossed your arms and smiled at him. “Well thanks for worrying. I suppose you’re off to bother Magna now that you know I’m alive?”
“Can’t; he left for a mission an hour ago.”
At this, you raised a brow. The only rooms near yours were Magna and Nero’s. And Luck never had much reason to talk to Nero. Which meant…
“I actually wanted to talk to you about something.”
“Huh?!” You felt your body lock up. Oh gosh, I’m blushing! Please don’t notice!  “Y-yeah?” I swear, if it’s about—
“So yesterday, during the game I mean.” Luck closed the distance between you two and put his hands on your shoulders. With him so close, every feature of his seemed more handsome. “When I kissed you, you didn’t really kiss back.”
“Uh… Well… I mean, the dare was for you, not me…” Your tongue felt like lead. Static buzzed in your mind, paralyzing you. Why couldn’t he have waited a week or something?! I’m still processing this! “Why did you even kiss me at all?”
Luck’s eyes locked with yours. He stared at you, into you, for a moment, his eyes wide like he was searching.
“Because it was you!” Maybe it was a trick of the light but Luck’s face seemed… pinker.
“… Huh? Wha…?”
“I guess it wasn’t obvious…” Luck squeezed your shoulders and leaned in. The blush on Luck’s face was very obvious at that point. “You want to know why I kissed you? Because you’re special to me.”
“S-so you’re saying…” The heat in your face spread to the rest of your body. The sound of your beating—no, hammering—heart made you dizzy. “You like me too…?”
“Yeah I like you too!” Then Luck blinked, eyes going wide, as if realizing what had just been said. “‘Too.’ You like me ‘too.’” You mutely nodded. “That’s… That's great!” Luck did a jump, still gripping your shoulders, and when he landed he stayed on his tiptoes to stay closer to eye level with you. “So it was alright to kiss you? Does that mean we can kiss again? Does that mean we’re dating?!”
Luck’s smile was wider and his joy was brighter than when he was on a battlefield. And his exuberance was infectious. Laughter bubbled in your throat as you took his hands off your shoulders to hold.
“Yes! To all of those!” To push the point even further, you leaned down and kissed Luck’s cheek.
To your joy, and to Luck’s as well, that first kiss wasn’t the last. Only the beginning to many more.
