#in the horrid music industry and i'm here for it

Oh my god, finally! I've been wanting to post here for a few days.
I'm the author of that infamous fanfic. And I wanted to say, unrelated to Hazbin, that the documentary and Drake's story, coupled with his new music video "I Kinda Relate" is the most heartbreaking and empowering thing I've ever seen. I bawled my eyes out the entire day that I found it.
In the first 28 seconds, Drake heavily implies, but doesn't show, his abuse that he suffered at the hands of his rapist, Brian Peck (who also was penpals with none other than John Wayne Gacy.)
I wanted to do nothing but hug that poor little boy, and to hug the man he is now. I want to tell him that he's beautiful and strong and brave for coming out. Male CSA victims rarely ever do. Could you imagine telling Drake then or now, that he's a *loser*? Could you imagine going about his abuse the way Viv did with Husk and Angel? He literally made his own music video that was much more tactful and empowering than Loser Baby ever will be.
I also have dirt on Dan S and that whole fucking pedo ring (I know a LOT of people in this industry. I also helped take down an ACTUAL ZOO AND PEDOPHILE with a decent amount of power a few years back.) And for anyone still confused about Drake, the girl he messaged lied about her age and he never did anything physical with her. He still acknowledges he's fucked up (please watch his hour long interview and music video) but he's "bound to make it right".
I also just want to say, to a CERTAIN PERSON, that comparing the objectively fetishisized abuse (I'm a CSA victim and into noncon), to fucking SEX ED FOR CHILDREN, is the absolute most fucking garbage and vile take I've ever seen. Poison is NOT educational. It is fetish content for Viv and Raph and others like them. If survivors and fans can turn something objectively negative into something subjectively positive, all the power to them.
Again, into noncon and a CSA victim. I also don't want to see stans taking this and telling me I'm invalid for critiquing Viv and Raph (already dealt with that in my damn fic.) I have been raped/sexually assaulted/groomed/groped/strangled/pinned down/dragged around as a child and NO ONE is ever going to tell me I'm a hypocrite or that I'm wrong for my feelings on this issue. Especially when I also have friends and my own mother as SA and CSA victims as well.
Someone like myself, or like Drake Bell, do NOT need to see how explicitly horrid our abuse was/is to understand how bad it is. I personally had panic attacks watching the episode, and having the knowledge of Raph being an unapologetic rape fetishist, was all I needed to know that that entire episode was fetish content. It's basically an adaptation of Raph's Red Smoke comic. Nearly word for word too. I've written and consumed so many stories over the years to know exactly what's going in their heads.
You know how you actually help a victim? You have friends and family and a therapist help you get out of that situation. Husk "helping" Angel was not the way to go about it.
And I've seen fans argue whether or not Viv is a rape fetishist (she is), but if she wasn't, why is she so adamant on keeping an unapologetic rape fetishist on her staff? He's confirmed to be working on season 2 (God I'm gagging thinking about it) and why does she like so much art (no hate to the artists) of sexy, fetishisized, hot, and sad art of Valentino? If he's supposedly based off HER abusive experience, why does she coddle, woobify, and downplay and sexualize him so much??? I wouldn't base a rapist character or write a rapist character as a fucking "high school Mean girl".
I'm sorry this got so long, but fuck man... it's so fucking disgusting.
Anyways, please watch this. It's got more tact and heart than fucking Poison will ever have. Drake Bell, my heart goes out to you. CSA victim to CSA victim. I hope you get better and can heal. And that goes for all victims as well. 💜🫂 (You too, Chai.)
And Brian Peck, and any and all other rapists, can burn alive in a grease fire. Val included.

https://youtu.be/nSzk-MsVKqA?si=6D4rEihu89Yom7YG
Well said as always, Anon, and thank you for this.
Also, definitely seconding Brian Peck burning up in a grease fire.

You’re doing harm because not only is your fanbase prone to harass H&L and the people that surround them more than other corners of this fandom, not only do you tend to be more mysogynistic, and not only do you twist queer history to justify horrid and invasive behavior, you’re also priming young people in your fanbase to believe in anything of conspiratorial nature. We’re talking about people going down anti vax, terf, maga and other pipelines. I’ve already witnessed myself someone go from Ziam and Larry to believing celebrities are all controlled by the devil and homosexuality is evil. It might not be your personal beliefs, but the behavior starts somewhere.
Hello, anon!
Do you understand what the words you're using really means?
Tumblr media
What kind of harrassment are you saying larries are inflicting on H and L and people around them? Refusing to believe their lies and gaslighting isn't harrassment, calling them out for bad behaviour isn't harrassment, bringing larry supportive signs to shows isn't harrassment, commenting with blue and green hearts isn't harrassment. Asking Louis for chicken recipes isn't harrassment. What i do think is borderline harrassment are the sexually explicit signs brought to H's shows. Or the ask i get sent by antis through vpns. That's certainly not done by this side of the fandom.
Also, again you're not understanding the words you're using;
Tumblr media
Larries do not have a dislike for, contept for, or ingrained prejudice against women. Most larries are women themselves. Just because you're a woman it does not exempt you from critisism or give you a free pass to lie, cheat and get away with unbecoming behaviour. Choosing to help closet an unwillingly closeted man for money is something that is up for critisism. It's the choice and the action we're critizing, it's not a contempt we're showing for their sex or gender.
I also do not know what you mean by twisting queer history. Do you not recognise that the music and film industry have closeted celebrities from the dawn of time? I also don't understand what horrid and invasive behaviour we larries do? We are here keeping to our own blogs and accounts? It's our space? We're not doxxing anyone? We are speculating on their sexualities yes, but so are the rest of the fandom who's shipping them with women?
I'm also not priming anyone to believe anything of conspiratorial nature, are you quite okay? I run a blog called alarrytale, it's very apparent that this little corner of the internet is a blog about larry. If young impressionable people don’t want to read about industry closeting or umbro sweaters they can exit my blog. I'm not responsible for them, they're responsible for themselves. They know what they're getting themselves into by reading my blog. They don't have to believe me, they don't have to agree with me and they don't have to follow me.
Also, being a larrie isn't a slippery slope to becoming a flat earther or a deep stater? Other than believing that larry is real, that L is not a father and that there are other closeted celebrities in the film and music industry, i don't believe in any other conspiracy theories? I can back up all my theories with facts to show that this is very probable? Larry is a very badly kept secret? We're not a minority, not in Louis' fandom at least?
I think you're confused. You saw someone go from being a larrie to believing homosexuality is evil? So they're not a larrie anymore then i assume? Or do they think they're living in sin? Sorry, but i don't believe you. You must be following trolls. Your opinion of larries are clearly coloured by your own convictions of larry not being real. You see the splinter in larries eyes, but you fail to see the beam in your own. It's hypocritical.

Lmao
Oh I was also thinking about Duzts and Racopa today what they'll do as they grow up, Duzts strikes me as the kind to become quite academic staying up studying and mumma puts a blanket over him when she finds him asleep at his desk (also absolutely can see him wanting to crawl back into bed with mum if he's having a hard time like if he's upset or stressed just awkwardly lingers in the doorway before crawling in under the sheets and into his mums arms and gets cuddled as he tells her what's bothering him ect and she's there to cuddle her baby)
Meanwhile I can see Racopa getting into music, she gets a prosthetic naturally top of the range and I can see her writing music definitely goes through a teen phase lmao the grunge band in the garage type thing XD angsty emo punk rock ect and Mays like tryna be supportive while not getting it at all XD and Racopa is like pft yea you wouldn't get it, it's modern. Mays just oh! Well I suppose I'm not very modern while thinking (that's nice sweetie but I don't like that tone cause lmao someone's gotta be the little shit with attitude). May absolutely tries to go to see her daughter playing in like rock contest things at her school or something but when Racopa is angsty about it because urg mom I didn't want you here now everyone gonna think I'm lame. She's just Oh I'm not here for you I'm here to support the competition. Just cause tough love gonna be like that I'm supporting them but also because it makes Racopa feel genuinely challenged by these others now and it means May can actually watch her daughter playing without her daughter feeling embarrassed about her mom being there.
Monochrome probably helps Duzts with homework and studying ect and I can definitely see him also paying for Racopas music lessons and tutors ect though May is probably like don't introduce her to too many people high up, cause like she doesn't want her daughter to get picked up purely because of name sake and cheat her into the charts by having parents already in the media industry, wants Racopa to ya know forge her own path a bit struggle and sweat a little rather than buying her in especially because media life can be horrid and if she gets in it too early she might hate it a lot and potentially have it ruin her life as its a difficult life so May definitely tries to keep some normality
STOP MAKING ME HAPPY CHALLENGE IMPOSSIBLE.

al may i humbly request your monsta x recommendations for a beginner who has only watched the all in mv (and tbh hasn't stopped thinking about it since). it's me i'm the beginniner. :( <3
omg ..... oh em gee x200 tbh my beginner's guide is very al-shaped bc mx is pretty much a musical potpourri of a pristine discography but i hope you will like some of the songs i will rec tho i know the genre is very ....... hmmmm ..... hip-hop? but i swear, the music is incredible quality so here goes al's own guide to mx:
jealousy (forgive the horrid mv starship entertainment hates me for that one, but it is one of their greatest songs to me and i will always recommend it whole-heartedly. cleared the entire industry with this one and had like 10 bucks to their name!)
dramarama (who doesn't love dramarama! it is just so good!)
gambler (i linked you the live version because i know you will appreciate this. shownu is missing in this one but it is still one of their best performances!)
secrets (a live performance from the same format they did for gambler. i think you will deffo appreciate the musicality of this one)
gasoline (this is my favourite song and i need to link it because it is my go-to on repeat for mx songs. there is just something so enchanting about it!)
alligator (can’t make a list without alligator on it! love the song in general but the mv is another visual feast. the seven deadly sins? wrath being a match to be lit? that was when i was all-in. speaking of all-in, there is a neat pre-chorus done by hyungwon and minhyuk so that never hurts. also perfected the kihyun-sings-and-shownu-dances-center-chorus formula that saves every mx performance)
love killa (they studio choom’ed for this one and it was very deserving! it does give me all-in vibes sonically just a bit sleeker and more grown up! say hello to ..... changkyun it boy era)
nobody else (another fatal love song, but i think this album could speak to you bc it has a lot of fun little musical details among a very industrial sonic landscape. this one is not as loud, but just as good!)
kiss or death (this mv is giving space historical detectives crossover and it is just such a classic mx song! the visual landscape of this mv is honestly the best part about it!)
fantasia (this is such a lush and gorgeous song and mv i can never not watch it with all of my attention on it. a standout title track for sure for me!)
shoot out (what can i even say ujhzgtzhujik rent was due that day and it is very clear they could keep the roof over their heads <3)
bonus: mirotic cover (this is the only mirotic cover i ever want to see and also the only mirotic performance with more than two people i will allow. the rest better be real, real quiet)

Hi you... if you were going to curate a little season of films for me, which ones would you choose and why? They don't need to be horror, I'm just curious what you would choose 🌸
I don’t know if you’ll like these movies, or if you’ve already watched them, but after i watched these films, i felt like they might need to belong to you now. i hope they make you smile, roll your eyes, and cry just as much as i did.
1. city of god (2002): this is one of the most immersive and gorgeously shot films i’ve ever seen. it’s set in rio de janeiro during the 60s and spans decades exploring the drug culture in the slums and how this can affect kids just as they are trying to figure their own selves out. the way this film is shot, feels like you were at the sea with them as the sand crunched underneath your feet. but the way that the director captures these individuals, makes you so fucking relieved that you don’t live through any of the circumstances that they go through.
2. the dreamers (2004): set in 1968, this film follows three students in Paris who come of age and explore one another and their limits during the revolution. while these students prop themselves up as individuals obsessed with sex, running underneath themselves is a current of jealousy, obsession, and blurred familial relationships that made me increasingly uncomfortable. you find yourself feeling bad for the children, and ultimately upset at their upbringing because of their parents.
3. if beale street could talk (2018): this movie is based off of james baldwin’s titular 1974 novel. in it, the director expertly and vigorously explores love: a love that feels so real that it hurts. the cast is what sold this film to me. the way they talk, laugh, cry, and smile at one another is achingly beautiful and terrifyingly sad. i wanted to transport myself back to their time period and watch the main characters fall in love because the film didn’t seem like enough.
4. the neon demon (2016): this film follows an emerging model who sacrifices herself to the demands of the industry in order to be attractive and beautiful. there are so many stunning colors in this film that it makes you dizzy, like you’re in a trance and that’s what this world is for the main character: a trance. as she oscillates between reality and fantasy, her world and the characters in it, increasingly seek out to alter her personality.
5. death becomes her (1992): a deliberately ultra-campy parody of trashy, pandering "women's pictures," soap operas and paperbacks from the '80s and '90s. The three leads all do some of their best work - it's hilarious watching Meryl Streep play a terrible actress, Goldie Hawn is particularly hilarious during her character's cat lady phase, and all around just a really fun and eccentric film.
6. princess cyd (2017): i can’t think of anything to write for this but i just wanna say that this is literally one of the most pleasant movie experiences i’ve ever had. so much light and genuine interaction in warm sun rays radiating positive energy and an openness that is far too uncommon in movies nowadays. people talk, people connect, people grow bonds and are allowed to be sexual or intimate or personal without an air of shame or judgement. just pure kind and curious human association.
7. spiderman: into the spiderverse (2018): the message of Spider-Verse is not "gentrify yourself! stop expressing your personality and just conform to what society wants you to be!" After all, what makes you different makes you Spider-Man, and Miles' final expression of himself as a superhero still retains much of his personality and individuality...they're just being used in more productive and fulfilling ways. It's the little things that drive the point home, like noticing that the title page for Miles' finished Great Expectations essay has been stylistically doodled and colored like street art. Rather than seeing his artistic gifts as an opposition to his schoolwork, Miles infuses them together to make the best of the hand he's been dealt.
8. my life as a zucchini (2016): initially heartbreaking and sad, but slowly becoming more joyful and heartwarming as the plot moves along. The film really feels like it captures the essence and child like wonder of these kids, all of them going through hardships but managing to find something to help each other out. It’s so refreshing to see the actual orphanage portrayed in a more positive light, not the usual horrid dump that a lot of lesser movies play them out as. The animation is stunning. One of the best uses of stop motion I’ve seen, everything is so colourful and detailed. There’s some moments set in snowy mountains and these look incredible. There’s clearly been so much love and care put into each and every scene here. The music too, sounds spectacular, it really works well with each scene.
9. lovesong (2016): Mindy and Sarah have that type of relationship where they don't need words because they speak in a language made out of glances and touches. This movie is about the fear of ruining a meaningful friendship and losing an important person, about love that is so complicated that one might not even try because the outcome seems to be so obvious.
10. her (2013): Heartbreak is formative: it changes you heart side out, and leaves your muscles a little stronger, your skin a little thicker, your bones easier to repair. Before this film, I’d never seen anything constructive in having your insides pulled apart by the seams by another person, but this film taught me how. Being in love and then being forced out of it is an experience that changes you fundamentally, but Her taught me its purpose – you don’t need them to leave you so that you can find someone who’s a better fit, because perhaps you never will. You need it to participate in humanity. The common denominator is being hurt, and without it, you’re barely alive.
11. shoplifters (2018): bittersweet and richly transportive, Shoplifters is a film that nonchalantly eases you into its tragic beauty in a way that doesn't punch you hard until the end. It simultaneously made me want to be part of the film's world and also very glad that I'm not. The setting the characters live in is messy and cluttered and full of dysfunction and lies, but it's also got family, and laughter, and fist-bumps, and slurping warm noodles while rain pings on the tin rooftop. So nuanced, so many tiny moments of delicate beauty and unassuming heartbreak, so many people making terrible decisions with good intentions.
12. god’s own country (2017): though it is a love story between two men, this aspect is only addressed briefly in a single scene. Rather, the film is about finding someone who makes you want to be a better person, someone who comes into your life just when you needed it most. Gheorghe helps Johnny open up and realize the beauty of the simple life. From this relationship, Johnny begins to feel comfortable with expressing himself, and his love and gratitude towards others. He also begins to appreciate life in the country, surrounded by stunning landscapes and the beauty of simplicity. Addressing the Yorkshire countryside, Gheorghe says "It is beautiful, but lonely." Johnny is presented with the notion that he doesn't have to be cold and miserable, slaving and drinking his days away. He is presented with the possibility of no longer being alone and finally finding happiness and contentment - and it is more than gratifying to see him accept it.
13. disobedience (2017): a tender star-crossed daydream. the three main character dynamics are special enough on their own, but the romance that blooms at the center is cathartically intimate and even magical: a reunion that feels so inevitable. catching glimpses of a past life, details we aren’t privy to. all the stolen kisses and whispers and promises. a bond so strong that they fall back in sync with each other like second nature, even if they try to fight against it. even if it won’t work. and yet they choose each other, even if for a few minutes.
14. raw (2016): this film is so gross and I like that. There is tons of blood and unique body horror and it all works perfectly for the tone the film is attempting to set. The use of color, specifically neons, creates a constant feeling that you are traveling through some sort of weird ghost world, which I really like. Overall, it's a very well put together film with flashes of brilliance.
15. the night is short, walk on girl (2017): what an absolutely magical adventure of a film. Essentially this is a heavily episodic look at a night in the lives of several people, centered on a woman and a man as she gleefully floats from event to event while he neurotically obsesses over how to "coincidentally" talk to her. The storytelling is incredible; while the overarching narrative is simple there are countless threads woven together to connect everyone in the story to each other. That in itself is a big theme: connections between people, how everything is interrelated, and what a large impact seemingly insignificant things people do can have an impact on everyone around them.
16. coraline (2009): Coraline is the best stop motion movie ever made in my opinion. Before the film released in 2009, I read the book and was completely blown away by its creativity and story. It’s a pretty dark tale featuring many scenes of fright that work well in both a horror setting and an animated kids setting. On surface value, this film is quite horrifying, which is something I’ve always loved about it. While it does make a few minor changes to the book, it improves upon a piece of art that was already jaw-droppingly good. Coraline feels like a real little girl with some real problems. She’s selfish but likable which is something most films cannot translate well. Of course, she has a pretty awesome arc as well which brings this movie to a perfect close for her character. The other-mother is also perfectly done. She is almost exactly how I imagined her in the book and the animation on her is spookily gorgeous. There is not one dull moment in this film. It is literally a perfect piece of cinema.
17. the third wife (2019): haven’t seen a film this visually delicate in a while. Ash Mayfair works with the looming mountain surroundings to make her characters —these women, these girls— as small as possible, as isolated as possible. Uneasiest of all is the protagonist May, so young and so weighed by responsibility, her position blurs between being one of the wives and being one of the daughters. It’s an extremely bleak tale of circumstance. An old tale, certainly, but so beautifully crafted it doesn’t matter. Mayfair holds a fearful tension throughout, and it only ever shatters in the cruelest of ways. The abundance of women and display of sisterhood begin as a comfort, but horror takes over as we realize how conditional and fragile that comfort is. Even the daughters are subconsciously aware, one of them praying to the gods to grow up and become a man, shearing her hair off in naive triumph. It’s a doomed cycle of girls performing roles which are unfortunately their best option, right up until the final scene of May with her daughter, still in their mourning clothes. She, like the older wives, finally realizes they’re the same as the cattle laying on their side for too many days.
