my favorite thing about kings quest is that king graham has children but theyre all wound up in other kingdoms so none will inherit his throne. So like the next candidate for the throne of daventry is like, a major question. But its answered offhand because the apocalypse happens and One Guy who lives down the street saves all reality so its like. Uhhhh. That Guy, I guess.

the astrology girlies were right things DID have a big change after the new moon. everything was really sucks before but now my one reserved book is available but i want to try and get more writing done while im still hyperfixated but i need to finish reading the first book before the second book i reserved becomes available (and i need to finish the last chapter of the second books prequel before THAT) and also my house is a disaster bc of aforementioned hyperfixation

Love that this au my friends and I made started out as "hm what if Claire and Leon got some time to actually deal with the weight of their trauma together post RE2" and it has now turned into a full game series narrative spanning au that cuts out the events of Infinite Darkness and makes cleon work for the entire thing. We are fuckin insane but we are free together

aha your newfound obsession with theoretical biology is the most relatable thing i have ever seen on this here website! honestly its the most interesting part of biology i think, the promise of actually finding out why biological systems behave the way they do is intoxicating. id really recommend looking at major transitions in evolution, a book by john maynard smith and eörs szathmáry, it characterises the most important jumps in complexity and informational transmission through the history of life and while it is quite technical it is fucking insaaaane like. its insane. also jack szostak has some really cool ibiology lectures on youtube about protocells, i think those are rather accessible (for bio students that is) and he is an absolute genius, great to listen to. biophilosophy papers on biological information changed my whole view of the field as well, i would recommend looking at the stanford plato philosophy wiki at first and then moving on from there, as (at least for me) academic philosophy is quite difficult to get into at first. one last thing is the santa fe institue’s complexity podcast, especially the episodes with betül kacar and sarah imari walker are really enlightening (athough sarah speaks at the speed of lightning), the whole podcast has some really interesting episodes on biocomplexity and the origin of life which is a topic that physicists have been really into lately! it’s fascinating to hear their mode of thought and while it is very reductive, it carries itself that sort of. i dont know how to describe it but the possibility of being able to finally understanding why life systems are the way they are and what makes them like this and what conditions were needed for their emergence and just generally to finally understand what makes life different so uniquely different from every other physical system and how it fits into the universe is like mind blowing to me. anyways sorry i’ll stop rambling but yeah hope these are of some use to you!!! we really live in the best era to be a biologist i think
FRANTICALLY taking notes rn thank you!!!
